Courtney needs our book help! Yikes!!!! This book would scare me, truly. Escaping abuse is a dream come true, so having to go back to that situation sounds like a nightmare to me.
Although… it almost sounds like Beautiful Disaster. 😉 Just sayin’ (I dunno that I’d say he was abusive… more like controlling and out of control in his jealousy).
But you know, his whole breakdown when she left, and needing her with him, and his best friend dating her best friend, and everyone wanting them together etc etc… And boy did I love that red-flag laden disaster! What a story.
Em needs our book help! OMG yikes!! I dunno how long that book delves into that dark part, but the fact that Em says it’s a tough book to read makes me think it’s a large part of it.

I read a while back a very dark book. It was a young girl whose brother was in love with her. The brother abuses her. Her parents were killed.
She makes friends with a older biker across the street who owns a dog. She ends up falling for a friend of the older biker.
Susan is looking for this one! It’s not one that I’ve read because it’s recent enough that there is a “lock down” mention in the description.

Read MC romance book a few years ago, and unable to find it. I am unsure if it is part of a series but I feel it might.
Starts with FMC was beaten by exhus/boyfriend, she took off without luggage and picked up from bus/airport by friend/sister. She wore a hoodie bc large gash on head, hide bruises and hair was chopped/cut up.
