We should add an oldish favorite by Kristan Higgins’s 2022 book Out of the Clear Blue Sky to the list of funny/poignant cheating revenge books.
What Lillie does to Brad, her husband of 19+ years, after he announces he’s found real love and joy with a new (much younger and richer) woman still makes me laugh.
The revenge started small and got progressively more creative. How Lillie deals with her life after this disruption is heartfelt and tissue worthy.
I’ve stopped counting how many times I’ve re-read it. Perfect for when you’re stressed out.
Plus her other books are awesome…they’re a joy to read.
