And now it’s DG’s turn!!! She has sent over her 2018 favorites and I’m seeing some awesomeness here! But DG is awesome in all ways, including her book taste! Wanna see some highlights of her year? I have them in “comment-form”:

DG: Morning all! Happy me day!!!! *sets coffee and strawberry cream cheese muffins on table*. Cupcakes are for later! Happy K.A. release day!!! Already one clicked! Can’t wait to start because it feels like it has been awhile since she released one….now if M Zapatas and BN Towler would release one today too then it would be an awesome day!!!

My three things…

1. So excited for tomorrow…a new K.A. book plus cake! Or maybe cupcakes…it will be one of the other!
2. I am still decorating for fall but really wish I was putting up my tree….
3. In disbelief that Jenn has not read any K.A. books! Like wow! I think Motorcycle Man was my first but I love Sweet Dreams too! Tate has it going on….but Tack is nothing to sneeze at either…

My girl made the math team at school and is super excited which makes me super excited and proud!

Three things:
1. I did not win the Lotto therefore I can not buy a beach house and read the summer away.
2. We officially have one week of summer left before school starts back!
3. I am obsessed with antique / thrift stores at the moment.

And now… HER 2018 FAVORITES!!!

Where One Goes and What Lies Between (Where One Goes Book 2) (Duo) by BN Toler <— just freaking amazing! These two books WRECKED me in the best way. There was some UGLY crying….a little anxiety (maybe a lot) …and I was so torn as to where I wanted this to go. Paranormal with a side of a twin triangle.

DG: Finished this last night as Michael’s winds and rain was whipping through my area…and I must say it was AWESOME! I was so TORN! How the heck do you choose…love of your LIFE or SOULMATE?!?! When they are TWO different people BUT two halves of one whole?!?! I DEVOURED these two books! ABSO-FREAKING-LUTELY loved, LOVED it! Make no mistake…there were tears shed! BN Toler, you have become one of my favs! And please, please make this a trilogy for the love of a soulmate!!!!

DG: I absolutely LOVED To Have It All when I first read it! So much that I had to read Toler’s other books. Where One Goes and What Lies Between is an AMAZING duo that is a MUST read! BN Toler hooks me in every time with her style of paranormal.

Just to be warned….I UGLY cried….and my heart was TORN. But it was definitely an emotional ride that I would take again and again!

Lots of feels…

Ryan’s Bed by Tijan <— Major what-the-what book! I truly thought I knew where this going and then BAM!!! Totally took me by surprise. Ryan’s Bed throw me for a loop and i thought about it for weeks…that ending though….

As Dust Dances by Samantha Young <— favorite Busker book. Loved the vulnerability of the busker. All kinds of feels as the h moves from homeless to back in the spotlight.

From Lukov with Love by Mariana Zapata <— LOVE, love, LOVE this book! Queen of the Slow Burn bumped it up a notch. I love the insults, the name calling, and the stubbornness of Meatball. But I absolutely LOVE the subtle hints from Lukov and the way Lukov takes care of her. A definite re-read book!

DG: Just want to gush! Mariana Zapata knocked it out of the ballpark with her latest- From Lukov With Love!!! Six…no seven stars for the Queen of Slow Burn! Jasmine and Ivan…oh the snarkiness! This very well may be my new fav of her books!

…I really, really LOVED this one! So if you have’t read it yet… you need to read it. *whispers… along with Malachi and I*

Wild Like the Wind (Chaos Book 6) by Kristen Ashley <— it’s KA and a Chaos book….enough said.

The Raging Ones by Krista Ritchie <— SciFi?!?! I guess…this one threw me for a loop. Imagine knowing from birth the DAY you are going to die…yeah. And yet, you “cheated” death….all is not as it seems. Again, like Ryan’s Bed, the ending threw me for a loop.

Paper Princess: A Novel (The Royals Book 1) by Erin Watt <— Best Bully book of the year. Reed…definite bully.

Transcend and Epoch by Jewel E. Ann<— a little paranormal mixed in with a love triangle! This duet was very addictive but I am Team Griffin all the way!

DG: Read Transcend AND Epoch…totally in a book fog! I abso-freaking-lutely LOVED both of them! Amazing how you can feel the connection between soulmates, it is that well written. LOVED Griff, LOVED Nate and ADORED Swayze…

The Surviving Trace & The Reigning and the Rule by Calia Reed <— I love a good time travel book. Add in a hint of mystery and constant changing landscape of the future…umm present, I am hooked! Can’t wait for the next book!

Hate Notes by Vi Keeland & Penelope Ward <— I am sooo a romantic, who loves those soulmate tales. Romantic notes sewn into wedding gowns…sighs. So dreamy, that is until you meet HIM. *giggles* hate notes, love notes…they say it is a fine line…

I seriously gotta read that Hate Notes book. ;) Loved Paper Princess. I gotta say, though, the most intriguing thing is “constant changing landscape of the future…umm present”. What? You got me hooked with just that!

Seeing Tate’s name makes me think of discovering KA and all those indie books. Some really pretty covers up there.

DG awesome list, I can’t believe I left the BN Toler Duo off my list but I had to stop somewhere!

Leslie M January 3, 2019 at 6:35 AM

I love your wide range of genres, DG! These lists always make me wish I could expand my tastes a bit.

As Dust Dances sounds amazing and has gorgeous cover. I assume even though it’s #2, it’s a standalone?

Your list is like catnip for me! I can’t wait to read some of these…pretty sure almost all of them are already on my TBR. I have read Paper Princess & From Lukov with Love and really enjoyed both of those!!!

DG January 3, 2019 at 1:40 PM

Hey Leslie – yes, it is a stand-alone. Crazy, I didn’t even realize that it was part of a series!

Thanks for sharing DG. I’m intrigued by the time travel books. And yes bev, I noticed the pretty covers too.

I LOVE a pretty cover…sometimes that is what makes me even look at the book to begin with.

I am so glad ya’ll like my list…too bad I couldn’t put Malachi and I on there….

Love your list, D.G.! Thanks for reminding me that I need to read the Where One Goes books. I also love those covers!

Seeing Wild Like the Wind reminds me that Free will be out on the 29th. I can’t wait for Rush’s story, but I’m so sad to see that series end!

The Play On series sounds great! I just put it on my TBR. Did you read the first book, and if so, does it need to be read before As Dust Dances? If there are characters in common, I’ll go ahead and start with Play On.

Great list DG. Can’t believe I forgot about From Lukov With Love for my list. Loved that one too. Have to add as Dust Dances to my tbr. Can’t remember why Ryan’s Bed was dnf for me. ;)

I love your list. Lots of top reads for me there as well so I’ll have to add the few I haven’t read to my very large TBR!
