*twirls and twirls in a delighted love stupor* Ahhhhhhhhhh how I just LOVED waking up at 5:30am, snuggling with my puppies, sleepy and yet so excited for the most beautiful fairytale ever. And it’s a REAL fairytale!!!! How. Amazing. Was it? Right??? AH-MAZING.
Worth waking up way too early to experience every single moment of it. I’ll never forget it, and I’m so thrilled they shared their beautiful moment with all of us. I’ve been following the Megan and Harry love story ever since it broke, and I am just so hooked on them.
And so are VERY many in our crew. In fact, this list has been personally requested numerous times, and I am thrilled to continue to spend my day in this “royal romance” mode.
Lillie: Loved it. Maryse do u have royal romance book list?
Amy: Any Royal Recommendations? do you have any books that have an American princess ? I’d like to find something that’s really good I can loose myself in that “Royal family” type world where I get swept away and made a princess! Hahaha! Looking for something 4-5 star worthy…..
Cheryl: Karina Halle must be infatuated with the upcoming royal wedding…last two books H is a prince.
Leslie M: I love the sound of the “royal” themed ones.

READER RECOMMENDED ROYAL ROMANCE BOOKS!!
Royals Saga by Geneva Lee <— SHE DIDN’T KNOW WHO HE WAS until the next day… “When he kissed me, I was shocked. He was a stranger and still so familiar. It wasn’t until I woke up to my picture splashed on the cover of tabloids that I realized I knew who he was. Prince Alexander of Cambridge. Royal bad boy. Exiled heir to the throne. He isn’t Prince Charming. He’s controlling. He’s demanding. He’s dangerous. And I can’t say no to him…”
Tessa: …what a good book. It was sweet, angsty, royal drama, alpha jerk… Command Me by Geneva Lee. The cover and title are totally misleading. The blurb is misleading. This is a great romance, period. The only accuracy is the prince is definitely an alpha jerk.
Kelli: You guys have got to check out Command me by Geneva Lee… …It’s kind of a forbidden romance! He’s a dirty talking Prince! …his family doesn’t approve of her because she’s not royalty. I would say it’s a New Adult/erotica if that makes sense! Lol Soooo good!
Tessa: I haven’t read the third book in the Royals series by Geneva Lee? …I need book three. I absolutely love that series.
The Royal We by Heather Cocks & Jessica Morgan <— Jg recommends it!
Jg: The Royal We by Heather Cocks and Jessica Morgan. I looooooved this!!!! Literally about an American girl who falls for the future King of England. Tried to screen shot the synopsis here, but there’s no photo option. It’s perfect for fans of William and Kate. Like, perfect!!!
The Controversial Princess (The Smoke & Mirrors Duology Book 1) by Jodi Ellen Malpas <— JODI ELLEN MALPAS ALERT!!!
Maria: The Controversial Princess by Jodi Ellen Malpas releases Tuesday! I cant wait to dig into it!!!! It sounds SO good!
The Royally Series by Emma Chase
Tessa: I just finished Royally Screwed (The Royally Series Book 1). It was exactly what I needed. Did I expect realistic? Of course not! I just wanted light fun to cleanse my pallette
Cheryl: Started Royally Screwed and am loving it! Kinda reminds me of a Hallmark Channel movie I watched about a “prince” and commoner.
Anne: I finished Royally Screwed and loved it too! Nicholas was so swoony and Olivia was perfect for him.
Julie: I’m stingy with my 5* ratings and only rated 6 books as 5* for this year (out of 60+). I’m going to give top honors to Royally Screwed. I’m a sucker for a prince story!
The Swedish Prince by Karina Halle <— KARINA HALLE ALERT!! “…a senseless tragedy took the lives of my parents, forcing me to become the sole guardian of our dysfunctional household at the mere age of twenty-three. Then a fateful encounter literally brought Prince Charming to my doorstep…”
Lisa: I’m over halfway through and I’m loving it! Giving me butterflies!
Clare: I’ve read it. It’s fabulous, I didn’t want it to end.Christina: Ohhh this sounds good!
Tessa: have you seen the Swedish prince irl? …Prince Carl Philip, Duke of Värmland is HOT. And married. lol
The Wild Heir: A Royal Standalone Romance by Karina Halle <— And here’s the second book (BUT it’s a standalone) 😀 He has to get married and clean up his image…
“...Now the only way the monarchy can save face is for me to smarten up – publicly. If I don’t, I’ll no longer be heir apparent to the throne. So it’s either I abdicate my future role as King or… I get married. To a blue-blooded stranger. Enter Princess Isabella of the tiny country of Liechtenstein. Quiet, intelligent, and uniquely beautiful, Ella doesn’t like this arrangement any more than I do and she’s not afraid to show it...”
Royal Seduction (The Royal Princes of Ruthenia Book 1) by Jennifer Blake <— Historical Royal Romance & Young LOVED IT!
Young: Just finished a book and couldn’t wait to tell you guys how much I enjoyed it!! It is a historical romance ‘Royal Seduction’ by Jennifer Blake. It is a fairly long book (over 550 pages) but I wasn’t bored not even a bit through out the whole book. Anyone who likes a historical romance, please try it
The Princess (The Montgomery/Taggert Family Book 8) by Jude Deveraux <— Tessa is BIG on royal romances so she has a bunch of recommendations for us!
Tessa: Oooh, and The Princess by Jude Deveraux. I re-read that book so many times.
The Princess Diaries series by Meg Cabot <— Tessa: *grins* I adored the Princess Diaries books.
Finding My Prince Charming (The Prince Charming Series Book 1) by J.S. Cooper <— Tessa recommends this series!
Tessa: There’s also the Finding My Prince Charming series by JS Cooper which I loved the first two and for some reason forgot to buy the third book.
Once Upon A Time: Billionaires in Disguise: Flicka (Runaway Princess Book 1) by Blair Babylon <— HER REAL-LIFE PRINCE IS NOT PRINCE CHARMING… “When a modern princess falls in love with her bodyguard, a man who is definitely not a prince, a royal fairy tale turns dangerous.”
Kim: You won’t be disappointed in reading any of Blair Babylong’s books! Within 5 pages you’ll be hooked!
Priyanka: Great book!
Royal Player (All-Stars Book 1) by Katie McCoy <— HE’S THIRD IN LINE FOR THE THRONE & a bad-boy star tennis player… “…I know better than to get involved with a bad boy like Charlie. But now he’s on a winning streak, he thinks I’m his lucky charm – and you know what’s luckier than a kiss? Everything. Suddenly, I’ve got paparazzi on my trail, exes coming out of the woodwork — and you don’t know ‘cutthroat’ until you’ve seen a pack of hungry socialites set loose near the Royal Family...”
Cheryl: I have read Royal Player. Cute read.
The Selection series by Kiera Cass <— Jodie recommends this one!! “…For thirty-five girls, the Selection is the chance of a lifetime. The opportunity to escape a rigid caste system, live in a palace, and compete for the heart of gorgeous Prince Maxon…
Radiance (Wraith Kings Book 1) by Grace Draven <— FANTASY ROYAL ROMANCE
MichelleS: I just found a new fantasy series and haven’t been this excited in a while. …Wraith Kings #1, Radiance. Amazing writing. Cool world building. Seriously likable characters. Humor. Sweetness. Action. Originality. I am totally engrossed in this one. He’s a Kai prince (non-human elder race), she’s a human royal. Arranged marriage for strategic purposes. Kai hate humans. Humans hate Kai. The set up sounds unoriginal, but believe me, the writing takes it somewhere else. You loved The Others, and Edgelanders, and Tairen Soul… I think you’ll love this too!
…somehow this author has a fresh, original, wonderful point of view and writing style. She thinks he’s hideous. He thinks she’s hideous. Funny and sweet and unbelievably good. I laughed out loud at the wedding feast!
Can’t stop thinking about this book. Yay me!
Royal Scandals by Nicole Burnham <— Tilly recommends this series!
Tilly: Nicole Burnham’s Royal Scandals series was really good.
And more series & books that look good (if you read them, let me know!!) 😀

Henry Prescott, second-string rugby player for the Paradisa Royals, is funny, sweet, charming, and oh-so-sexy. He’s got a rock hard body and tackles her in bed as fiercely as he tackled her in the park. Knowing nothing about rugby, but absolutely intoxicated by his accent, she finds herself falling for him. There’s only one problem: Henry Prescott doesn’t exist. The man she thinks she loves is actually Prince Henry, second in line for the throne…”
The Royal Wedding series by Caroline Lee <— Six Brothers. Six books to find love with entirely unsuitable princesses.
Royal Date (The Royals of Monterra Book 1) by Sariah Wilson <— She goes haywire trying to ski and he saves her… “Kat MacTaggart is a girl who has a plan for everything—including her holiday ski trip to Monterra with her best friend. Everything is going according to plan until she finds herself careening out of control down a mountainside and being rescued by a guy who looks like Superman’s hotter Italian cousin...”
Royal Heir (Westerly Billionaire Series Book 3) by Ruth Cardello <— The prince want’s the sweet American schoolteacher… Oooooh there’s a BUT!!!! “...on the very first day of her vacation, she steps onto a red carpet and straight into the arms of a real-life prince—and the promise of just the kind of flash and fortune that tore her own family apart. As the soon-to-be leader of Vandorra, Prince Magnus de Bartelebon always gets what he wants—and the regal bad boy wants the sweet American schoolteacher. Although he should be announcing his engagement of convenience to a neighboring princess..”
Royals by Rachel Hawkins <— HER SISTER IS MARRYING THE PRINCE & she wants no part of the spotlight… but he has a younger brother, you see. 😉 “…Daisy has no desire to live in the spotlight, but relentless tabloid attention forces her join Ellie at the relative seclusion of the castle across the pond. While the dashing young Miles has been appointed to teach Daisy the ropes of being regal, the prince’s roguish younger brother kicks up scandal wherever he goes, and tries his best to take Daisy along for the ride…”

Working on a master’s degree in wildlife biology while helping take care of her sick father, she has no time for celebrity gossip, designer clothes, or lazy vacations. So when a duchess from the small country of Lilaria invites her to dinner, Samantha assumes it’s to discuss a donation for the program. The truth will change the course of her life in ways she never dreamed . . .”
The Heir and the Spare by Emily Albright <— “...no sooner does Evie set foot on English soil than she falls for a boy who turns out to be a real prince–in fact, second in line to the throne of England…”
Sparks Fly by Lauren Runow <— “Everly wasn’t excited over her impending meeting with the enigmatic Prince Sage. Being one of only four women from whom the Prince gets to choose in marriage was never something she valued. Royal Love (Last Royals Book 1) by Cristiane Serruya <— A KING & A WAITRESS… “…While his mother is obsessed with finding him another wife to continue the regal bloodline, Angus would be content with mere happiness. •Beyond required public displays of affection, there shall be no contact of any kind between the parties
The first half of your payment will be deposited into your account upon the signing of this contract. Be sure to note your ring size. We would like to make prompt delivery of the family emerald. The Queen and I thank you in advance for your discretion…”
And just because these are the royals that ignited our “royal romance bug”, and inspired this list, here are some that might interest us!!! P.S. These have been published by big traditional publishers so I’m thinking they’re pretty legit. 😉

Prince Harry: The Inside Story by Duncan Larcombe <— A biography published by HarperCollins!!
Harry: Life, Loss, and Love by Katie Nicholl<— Published by Hachette!
Meghan: A Hollywood Princess by Andrew Morton <— A biography published by Grand Central Publishing (P.S. All of us royal fans will certainly recognize the name of this author!!)
What did you think of the dress?
I love a simple gown, but this one didn’t do it for me. Loved the veil though.
I thought she was stunning… GAH I am so envious of her but in the BEST of ways. She’s just perfect, to me.
If it were me and my dress… oh I dunno. More sparkly, lace and all that, but that’s my style. She’s a classic beauty and what she chose was exactly her.
She was gorgeous. Just beaming.
Two of my more current royal favorites ….besides Kate’s are:

Nicole Burnham’s Royal Scandals series was really good.
There’s also the Finding My Prince Charming series by JS Cooper which I loved the first two and for some reason forgot to buy the third book. 🙂
