READER RECOMMENDATION & TV SERIES RECOMMENDATION ALERT! I know many are absolutely loving watching this series, but have you read it yet? You can also watch it on Netflix too. YAY US!!
P.S. Bonus?? —> The series went from a trilogy to FIVE BOOKS & the series is complete. Binge away my book friends!
Camille: A Discovery of Witches-All Souls Trilogy-Deborah Harkness. So, so beautiful! Love between “creatures” is forbidden. The author is an Elizabethan scholar – the writing is phenomenal. And bonus: they’ve made a show of the series…
Monica: I just finished book 2 of Deborah Harkness All Souls Trilogy. I am so in love with the series I am sad there is only three books! Just enough Romance and danger and of course sexy vampires. Move over Edwards….real vamps don’t sparkle!!
Miy: I didn’t find these on your site but they are SOOOO GOOOD I am telling everyone about them! Deborah Harkness: All Souls Trilogy, Book #1 A Discovery of Witches, Book #2 Shadow of night, Book #3 The Book of Life.
They have WITCHES, VAMPIRES and DAEMONS. It’s a kind of love story with a whole lot of history and secrets and surprises.
If you truly love things that go bump in the night, I believe you will love this trilogy! Happy reading!!!

I stop upon your blog time to time. I just came across a trilogy… about witches, daemons, and vampires. (A little Twilight-ish) but nonetheless. Could not put it down. Amazing writing, wonderful story, GREAT history in the details. Epic love story.
A Discovery of Witches – All Souls Trilogy – Debra Harkness
Happy reading!!!
Theresa: A Discovery of Witches Trilogy by Deborah Harkness. Beautifully told, incredibly detailed, and rich in history. Matthew Clairmont is one yummy vampire! Honorable mention in this category is definitely BDB. Those are some serious alpha males.

Cheri: A Discovery of Witches and Shadow of Night by Deborah Harkness? They are awesome books.
Robyn: I’m deep into A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness. I don’t know why I let this sit on my kindle for so long. Such a good book
and…
Jennifer: The Book of Life by Deborah Harkness. Number 3 in the All Souls Trilogy. This has witches, vampires, time-travel, history, adventure, romance, what’s not to love?!
Angela: Hey there,
I stop upon your blog time to time. I just came across a trilogy (3rd book not done yet) about witches, daemons, and vampires. (A little Twilight-ish) but none the less. Could not put it down. Amazing writing, wonderful story, GREAT history in the details. Epic love story.
A Discovery of Witches – All Souls Trilogy – Debra Harkness Shadow of Night (second book) Happy reading!!!
Tessa: I LOVED A Discovery of Witches. I think one of the main reasons is it came out when there still weren’t many PNR, and more, it’s intelligently written. Discovery of Witches is long. All of that series is long, but I loved it, especially how smart it was, without the usual historical tropes that you sometimes find in time travels.

Danette: Ok … I have to say that when I discovered your blog (just recently) & read “what to read after Twilight” i was floored… an alien abduction of my brain!! Word 4 word & book 4 book.. too funny!!
I NEVER used to read, couldn’t focus, ADHD…(lol) whatever, I don’t know, but I did not enjoy reading story books…period. Then Twilight (Nov 2008) …and you know the rest…. lol… your wrote it!!
So back to the present I had exhausted my book list.. looking to create a new list and found your blog.. from you suggestions I’ve read the Fever Series (LOVED IT!!) and Cat and Bones… on the last book now and totally agree with your review… next in line is the Midnight series Lara Adrian..
I share books with friends and have now renewed that “spark” of good books to read and pass along our group.. (all your suggestions!!).. Everyone is all excited again..plus fall & winter is awesome booking reading time!! They all know of your blog now and agree.. you have gone above and beyond and we all appreciate it!! So hats off to you!! keep up the great work & Thank You!!
And my suggestion…(drum roll…….) Deborah Harkness – A Discovery of Witches. She is a new author, this is her first book so have to wait for the others (which we all hate)… but its a great read!!
Holla at you soon!! Take care!
DanetteMichele G: Anyone else on here who has read A Discovery of Witches and the other books in the All Souls Trilogy by Deborah Harkness? I loved all three of them …
Anyway, I finally had a chance to start watching the series they have done…I’m only up to episode 6 in season 1…I think there are 8. It’s not perfect…no tv/movie adaptation ever is…but I’m enjoying it quite a bit. Just thought I’d see if anyone else on here had given it a try…
A Discovery of Witches: A Novel (All Souls Trilogy, Book 1)
Shadow of Night: A Novel (All Souls Trilogy, Book 2)
The Book of Life: A Novel (All Souls Trilogy, Book 3)
Time's Convert: A Novel
The Black Bird Oracle: A Novel (All Souls Series Book 5)

I loved the original trilogy but couldn’t get into the other two books unfortunately and the TV series was just…ok. I would definitely recommend the original trilogy for a cold fall or winter night with some wine or hot chocolate. So great.
Thank you so much Melissa!! I did read the first one soooooo many years ago, and back then I was more into the hot & heavy bad boy vampire fall-hard-fast romance reads, so I bet I’d appreciate it a whole lot more now.
