Reader Recommendations – Our Favorite Rejected Mate Romance Books

This one came as a request on Facebook (thank you Nancy!!), and how could I resist? I LOVE THIS TROPE!!! Nothing better (in angsty-romance-heartachy books!!) than that shocking moment of heartache, after thinking you’ve finally found your forever.

And then the whole pining, and moments of hopefulness to moments of feeling utterly dejected. I always wonder what the HEA will end up looking like. OR IF there will be an HEA at all.

Nancy: Maryse we need a rejected mates book list because it’s my favorite trope lately!

Tina: Ooohhh, I want this list!

LauraB: I love this trope! I’ve read so many — do I have to pick?

Maryse: AGREEEEED!!! I’m on it! P.S. Mine is Clayton by Rachelle Mills!! I DO love this trope in “human form”, too (unrequited love – kind of like how “Sweet Dreams” started… ), so we can include those, for fun, but this is mostly a “fated mates” list but… rejected.

R.L. MATHEWSON is renowned for her “rejection” books (paranormal AND contemporary)!!! I LOVE HER!

Maria: R.L. is my absolute favorite. Life can be so unexpected and heavy at times and her books are just what my soul needs. Great humor, sweet, fun and sexy stories that just have me smiling even long after I’ve put my reader down. My biggest struggle is I race through the book and then force myself to slow down and take breaks because I’m left on pins and needles once I’m done. I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve re-read a series.

Unstoppable (The Pyte/Sentinel Series Book 7) by R.L. Mathewson <— RECENT RELEASE & WE LOVE THIS AUTHOR!

Lauren: Just read this when it came out! Couldn’t put it down and it makes you want to re-read all the others in the series. You will laugh, swoon, and also get damn irritated with the author because she’s a genius who likes to make you read until you finish the book without putting it down! (Get ready to lose sleep if you start it late) Love it like all the others and you will also!

Elaine: I have been patiently waiting for kales book and r.l. didn’t disappoint. I was so excited to be able to finally see him shift. The story was fabulous.

If you have a spare weekend and want to immerse yourself in a fun read, this is 100% the way to go. They pull on the heart strings while also giving you a good laugh! If you haven’t read the others, you should do that too!
