One of my favorite series so far!!Β Also known as the “True Blood” series and the “Sookie Stackhouse” series.
Cocktail waitress Sookie Stackhouse is no typical Southern belle. She can read minds. And she’s got a thing for vampires. Which, in a town like Bon Temps, Louisiana, means she’ll have to watch her back-and neck…

I agree Charlaine Harris’ Sookie Stackhouse series is quite addictive but I find I am completely obsessed with True Blood. I love Bill (yes I have read all 8 books and I always loved Bill not Eric) and Stephen Moyer is so sexy.

Ahhh. I love Eric. And the person they cast for him in the HBO series is amazingly fantastic.
Thankyou ! π
I was so stupidly worried, i would run out of great Vampire Romance Novels, But Clearly not ! π
Thankyou xox
I like the Morganville vampire series, and P.C cast vampire book series those are really good as well.
I just wanted to add that there is one novella in between Dead Reckoning and the new Deadlocked. *If I Had a Hammer” in Home Improvement: Undead Edition, is the next Sookie Stackhouse story between Book 11 and Book 12. Hope you have a chance to read it! .
Thank you Shannon! It’s been updated π
I need help have to read another sothern vampire series like Sookies Stackhouse or even the same narater love her voice ( C D of books) love the style of stories could stear me right
Le sigh…Eric…hoping the next and last book keeps Sookie and him together. But, it does look like (spoiler alert) it will be Sam. Didn’t love her Shakespeare books…but enjoyed the overlap with Sookie.
anyone have any recommendations for what to read next after this series?
Thank you so much for posting this. I found a ton at a book sale which helped me catch up.. To about “From Dead to Worse” it’s nice to read them in the proper order.
About Trueblood.. Everyone was cast so well. I was just upset that they veered so far off of the book series. And I may get grief for this.. But Bill almost killed Sookie in the tv series, and they kept them together.. That disappointed me. On the whole i can’t say I’m entirely upset with how things ended up though on either front though. (Especially not getting to see as much of Alcide and Eric as we did π )
Maryse, it just came to me that you were making a list of books or series were the female lead didn’t end up with the leading male character. Well, Sookie didn’t end up with Bill or Erik & she chose…… This would be perfect for that list.
You are SO RIGHT!!! I’ll add it in! π
