I was so happy to see that the second book just took where the first one left us, so it is an ongoing story and since so many characters got me hooked in the first one, I felt like I was having some news from friends.
As things go on, a new couple is put in the spotlight as Olivia’s sister finds herself completely obsessed by Sylvan, a Tranq Kindred, who is the best friend to her sister’s husband. The problem is… she’s soooo scared of him, and with good reasons too! How would you deal with a man that has fangs if you were phobic scared of needles? That is not the only reason that scares Sophie… but I’ll leave you the pleasure of learning more as you read.
I was wondering how Evangeline Anderson would make a second book without repeating herself… she already has 17 written in that series… well this time we take a trip to one of the Kindred worlds where the practices and customs are so different from ours that they get Sophie in trouble, to our hilarious delight.
Hopefully, she makes friends with Sylvan’s niece, a young woman named Nadiah, who’s always wanted to fall in love with a Kindred, and for whom Sophie’s origins makes her interestingly exotic. Thank God… more thank the Goddess (in that universe, they KNOW that the creator MUST be female!) for her help with Sophie’s blunders!
I loved the trip on that world so different from ours. I also enjoyed how the couple, who’s both members did not want to become one, resisted as much as they could the incredible attraction that was meant to be. I read it in no time! And so will you!
