<— LIVE! This one, and SO many others that are right up our alley. Authors near and dear to our reading-hearts… our very favorite ones are BACK this week. Abbi Glines’ Until Friday Night (HOLY MOLY the blurb on this one made my heart ache!!! This sounds so different for this author… deep and poignant sounding), Tracey Garvis-Graves’ Heart-Shaped Hack (I LOVE THIS AUTHOR!! Everything I’ve read from her, very adult-contemporary awesome!), Emma Chase’s Sustained (made me awwwwwww when I read this blurb… he helps take care of orphans), Shay Savage’s Released (best male POV-writer!!), C.D. Reiss’ Rule (mafia romance!!), Tijan’s Fallen Crest University (need I even expand? LOL!!! She’s HUGE in our crew), the list goes on and on, and I think we’ll be reading to our hearts delight this week!
<— JUST WENT LIVE YESTERDAY (fans of Kulti and Under Locke, rejoice!!!) Here’s a brand new ROCK STAR standalone and this is the one I’m currently reading. It just had enough of that blurb *oomph* (she’s going on tour with her brother’s band, and TWO other bands!!)
“…it would be dumb to say no to the chance of a lifetime. Two bands, three continents, one tour. Spending the next ninety-plus days with three beloved idiots and eight complete strangers shouldn’t be a big deal, right?
<— SO MANY NEW ONES that were just released over the last day or so that sound AWESOME, so I think today’s list is going to rock (and I’m still working on it as we speak… it’ll be a couple more hours before it’s complete), but I think I’m already on a roll. JUST LOOK!! I made mini highlights below… 😀 i think you’ll like!!!
Oh!! And when Astuti sent me this message (she just finalized her exams and has time to read again) she said:
I realized that maybe some of you don’t know about my “list of favorites list” *gasp*!!!! So, to Astuti and crew —> Don’t forget!! If you’re in the mood to read for a specific “thing” or genre you can probably find specific reader-recommendations for it here: Maryse’s Ultimate List of Book Lists!“Can you suggest me some books like Arsen, Beautiful Disaster or The Opportunist?????? Basically, I’m looking for super-angsty, intense true love that most definitely stays with you for a long time………. even days after finishing the book………”
THAT SAID… I’m ALWAYS open to hearing about new (or new-to-us at least) super-angsty, intense that stays with you for a long time recommendations too, so please email me or comment below and let me know if you have one for us! 😀
<— JUST WENT LIVE TODAY!! YAY ME!!!
I read Makenzie’s first book in this series, soon after it’s release (back in December 2014) ’cause that cover had my attention. Gorgeous, serene, and it looked like it could be emotionally deep. but it was the blurb that had me. And it delivered! Here’s my review.
SO when I found out she was releasing another book – also a standalone, with an equally gorgeous book cover, and an even MORE intense synopsis that TOTALLY gave me a blurb jolt, I knew I had to read it, too!!
