Hehe. This reader question made me giggle. Renee you’re hilarious, and now I, too, am very curious about what book this could be. Sounds like a BDSM-ish D/s book…

Here’s a student/teacher one!! Which one is it? *eeeeeep!!* I was immediately thinking S. Walden’s “Good” but the reader made sure to nix that out of our options.

Reader Question – The book where the hero was cold, unfriendly and aloof… and she never understood why.

Okay at first when I read the “reasoning” of the hero’s coldness towards the heroine, it rang a bell. I reviewed a book with that “background/history” before. But I can’t remember exactly… which. It was maybe… a month ago? But then Amanda added an extra detail to her question that I don’t recall at all, so maybe we aren’t thinking of the same book, so now I’m stumped.

Here’s one!! She’s a cop, and his (her old high school boyfriend’s) best friend is out to hurt her in retaliation (’cause she hurt him). But alas, I do not know the book. Maybe you do?

I read some reviews of a book on Amazon I think and I can’t remember the title. What I know about it: a girl comes back to her hometown to help her boyfriend from high school and his name is Steve ? But she and Steve’s best friend were kind of in love… she left after high school, breaking Steve’s heart in the process and when she comes back, the best friend wants to hurt her because apparently she’s the main cause to Steve’s problems. She is a cop or something. She has a massive secret (that’s why she left in the first place). The best friend still has feelings for her and she does too. I don’t think it’s a love triangle though. read more

This one sounds like it possibly needs to be added to our “Younger Man, Older Woman” list. Either way, this sounds like it could get angsty, so I’m dying to know what book Becky’s looking for.

She asks:

I need help with the name of a book that I read but I have so many books in my kindle I cannot find it. The book is about a women who  lives with and is engaged to a younger man. The womens teenage/young adult daughter lives with them. The mom decides to leave one day and just leaves a note saying that she is leaving and leaves her daughter there to explain. The daughter and the fiance start a falling for each other and then the mother returns with a surprise. Does this sound familiar? read more
