SEXY HILARIOUS BRADFORDS ALERT!!! Delectable: A Neighbor from Hell Novel <— Lookit how lucky were are!!! The fabulous R.L. Mathewson just sent over an excerpt to tease us. AND!!
She’s giving away a $100 Amazon gift card to one lucky commenter right here on the blog! *squeeeeee!!!*
So much to squee about, in fact, ’cause our favorite obnoxious men from our favorite family are back again in this latest installment in the “Neighbors from Hell” series. I fell hard for a few of ’em in fact, back when I first discovered my love of indie books (these guys had me laughing so hard, even as incensed as they made me at times). BRATTY BRADFORDS!!! You just gotta love ’em! And they’re HOT. It can’t be helped, and I’m so glad we can indulge even more!
And this latest book synopsis TOTALLY gave me a jolt. Knowing THESE guys? I can just imagine where this is going. Tee hee!
Reese Bradford is a typical Bradford, he enjoys his food, is easy on the eyes, and has a killer smile, but there’s one thing about him that he doesn’t want anyone to know about, which of course is the first thing that his ex-fiance makes sure that everyone finds out about after she leaves him for his best friend. Out of options, he reluctantly heads out of town to spend the summer in the cottage that he’d rented for his honeymoon only to find himself tormented by a woman that never should have crossed his mind twice.
More intrigued than he’d ever thought possible, he can’t help but wonder about the woman that made him smile.
Okay now… the excerpt! 😀
“So, where should we start?” Sara asked as they stood there, holding the rusty hammers that she’d managed to find yesterday when she’d rummaged through the garage looking for anything that they could use today.
“The cabinets?” she suggested, because they seemed like the easiest place to start.
“Sounds good,” Sara said, nodding as she pulled her sunglasses on and raised her hammer, clearly ready to commence with the destruction of Kasey’s ugly kitchen only to hesitate. “Maybe we should empty them first?”
“That’s probably a good idea,” Kasey agreed, chewing on her bottom lip as she glanced from the top cabinets filled with dishes and bowls to the kitchen sink.
Since she kept her cleaning supplies in the small “pantry” the small cabinet beneath the sink was empty. Deciding that was the place to start, she gestured towards the sink. “That’s empty.”
Nodding, Sara said, “The sink it is.”
And with that the two of them took up positions in front of the sink, assumed positions of destruction, and with a nod, they both swung. Sara’s swing resulted in the rusty hammer breaking in two upon impact and Kasey’s wild swing-
“Oh, shit!”
-resulted in something really bad happening.
“Why did you do that?” Sara demanded as they tried to stop the water from spraying everywhere, but with the faucet now embedded in the small kitchen window there was nothing to stop the water from spraying everywhere.
“Get a towel!”
“Okay!” Sara said, nodding like an idiot as she grabbed a kitchen towel and handed it to Kasey who quickly shoved the towel into the hole she’d created in a desperate attempt to make it stop.
But it didn’t.
What it did manage to do was to make the water spray out harder through the sides, soaking everything within ten feet. Worrying her bottom lip, she slapped her hands over the hole, which once again, didn’t work out like she planned.
“Why are the sinks filling up?” Sara asked as she frantically searched for something else to shove down the hole.
“I don’t know!”
“What are we going to do?”
“I don’t know!” she said, although it really should have been obvious at this point.
“Maybe we can shut it off by-oh, crap!” Sara started to suggest when Kasey somehow managed to push on what remained of the faucet and made things worse.
A lot worse.
“Oh my God!”
“Stop yelling!” Kasey yelled back, trying not panic and failing quickly as the water that refused to go down the drain now poured over the top of the sinks and flooded the floor along with the water that was shooting out everywhere.
“I can’t help it!”
“Well try!”
“What are we going to do?” Sara asked, waving her hands around as an idea came to Kasey, probably not a good idea, but an idea nonetheless.
“We have to stop the water,” she said and with that, she hopped up onto the counter, turned around and with a silent prayer, she shifted back so that she was sitting on the hole.
“Oh, my God! It’s working!” Sara said with a relieved smile as Kasey sagged with relief and-
“Oh, crap,” she said when the move caused her to shift and she felt the pull on her shorts.
“Did something just rip?” Sarah asked, meeting her gaze with a frown.
Nodding slowly, Kasey said, “You could say that.”
“Your shorts?”
“Yup.”
“Oh, that’s unfortunate,” Sara said, clearly biting back a smile as Kasey was forced to sit there, wondering how this had gone so wrong so fast.
“Yes, it is,” she said, deciding that this wasn’t helping and moved to climb off when she realized something else.
She was stuck.
Somehow her shorts had become stuck on the faucet handles, which she took as a bad sign. Shifting to turn, she heard another interesting rip and then-
“Ouch!” she gasped when something stabbed her shoulder.
“Uh oh,” Sara mumbled as Kasey became aware that her bikini top had become snagged on the faucet that had embedded itself in the window and had just ripped it in two.
“Damn it!” she said, pressing her arm across her chest as she tried desperately to free herself from the faucet, but the move only managed to rip her shorts further.
“Help me!” she said, pulling her legs up and placing her feet in the sinks full of water and tried to push up only to-
“Ow!” she yelped when the moved caused something sharp to dig into her ass.
“Oh, I don’t think that helped,” Sara said with a tsk and a sad shake of her head.
“I know that!”
“Stop yelling at me!” Sara cried, wringing her hands together.
“I can’t help it!”
“Fine!”
“Fine!” she snapped back, only to end with a groan as she took in her precarious position.
She was stuck in the sink with her boobs hanging out, her ass hanging out, something stabbing her ass and shoulder, water trying to shoot its way up where it didn’t belong and absolutely no idea how to get out of this situation.
“Okay, I think you’re going to have make a choice,” Sara said, nodding to herself as though she was trying to psych herself up for what was about to happen.
“What?” she asked weakly as she tried to move off the sink, but it wasn’t letting her go.
“Your boobs or your ass, Kasey. Make a choice.”
“What the hell are you talking about?”
“Your boobs or your ass!” Sara snapped, looking terrifyingly focused as she picked up the hammer that got them in this mess in the first place.
“What? Neither, you demented psycho! Get me down!”
“I don’t know how!”
“Well, then Google it!” she yelled, uncaring that she was now screaming as water continued to…well, she really didn’t want to think about the way the water was currently violating her.
Sara opened her mouth, closed it and then opened it again with an excited gasp while Kasey was forced to sit there, soaked to the bone, cold, semi naked and distraught that her demolition project was not going to according to plan.
“I’ve got it!” Sara said with an excited squeal as she turned around ran off, sliding and stumbling most of the way towards the door while Kasey sat there, shaking her head and sighing, “Whatever,” as she sat there, trying to tell herself that it could be worse, but at the moment she wasn’t sure how that was even possible.
Thankfully, Yummy came tearing into the house a minute later, letting her know that yes, yes things could be get a lot worse.

Hi Maryse. I’d like to enter the giveaway.
My most obnoxious crush was in high school. Tall guy, always wore shirts uncuffed and rolled down to his elbows (so hot). Very broody, if anybody talked to him, he’d get all snarly. *swoon*
Love to enter the giveaway . Thanks
Bwahaha! Great scene!! 😆 of the Bradford’s, I liked Duncan the best and I bet Tessa knows why, LOL!
Thank you to Maryse as always and to Ms. Mathewson for the opportunity!
Can’t wait to read this book! Thanks for the sneak peek! Is it up for preorder yet?
Jason my first choice. Love this series – read them all! Do happy competition open internationally. Shoutout all the way from Hoedspruit, South Africa. Good luck everyone
This scene is so embarrassing, you just want to cringe and cover your face!! Haha. My most “embarrassing crush” moment was in middle school at a friends party. I had to go to the bathroom and there was a window right next to the toilet that opened to the backyard where the party was being held. I didn’t think anyone could see in. However, someone kicked a ball over to where the window was and a kid started laughing and pointing and telling everyone to come over because you could see into the bathroom. I raced to finish, but of course, my “crush” was one that had run over to look inside. I went home after that….
Ok Girls BACK OFF!!! *flicks and swings Bic lighter around precariously*
Danny from #5 is MINE!!!
So excited for the chance to win! Thanks, R L and Maryse.
Love this series!! I would have to say that Trevor might be my favorite Bradford but my favorite line is from Fire and Brimstone when Lucifer’s dad is tending to Rebecca when she fell and he ask what happens and she tell him that she forget her safeword! I nearly died laughing!
Thanks for the sneak peek!! Would love to read this one!
Sounds so good!!
I think Jason from Playing for Keeps will always have a special place in my heart!
I don’t have 1 favorite Bradford, but 2!!! Jason and Trevor, no other Bradford has topped them for me!!
Great sneak peak – can’t wait to read it!
I just finished this one this week! NFH is my favorite series and always so fun to read!!
I have to say that Jason wins my heart since he is the one and the book that introduced the family……love them all but he was the first
Love this series! Can’t wait to read this one!
I love Trevor!
Jason is the ultimate Bradford.
Jason is the best Bradford for sure!!
My fave Bradford is always going to be Jason, he won me over in the first book.
Thanks for the chance!
There is tradition in my country when the memebers of the graduating class get a pin that shows that they are in their final year of high school, they get it in a kind of ceremony and the members of the year under them does the pinning. Well my crush was in the graduating class, I’m a year under him. It’s usually works like the older kids ask us to be the one who pairs up with them. Well one day in between classes my crush was heading where my friends and I was talking and I got so excited. Until he turned to my best friend and asked her to be the one that do the honors. My friend who knew I had a crush on him started to kind of do a ‘salse pitch’ why would I be the better choice for him and such while I was standing there. I was so embrassed, but at the same time love my friend that she tried.
FORTUNATELY, I don’t have an obnoxious crush moment. My favorite Bradford is REESE!
Hmmmm, obnoxious crush moment? I will have to think about that one. However, I did have a crush on my husband for like 6 months before we started dating. (I cant believe that was 30 years ago!!) Omg…I should post our prom pic, you guys would die laughing.
My favorite Bradford will always be Jason. I just read Delectable last weekend and it was another great read from R.L. Mathewson. Really looking forward to Aidan’s book next!
My most obnoxious crush moment? It was in high school and the guy announced to the class that I had man hands, but I was still crushing on him because he was just so darn good looking. 🙂
I’ll admit, I’m behind in this series, but loved the ones I did read. Love the excerpt!
I LOVE all thing Mathewson! These books have made me laugh harder than any other books ever, and brightened up many days. I think I love all Bradford men, I’m just glad I don’t have to cook for them! I may have to go back and reread all of the books again. They’re like long lost friends. (I don’t have a funny crush moment, sorry!)
When I was in high school, I had a crush on a boy, but didn’t have any the same friends. I overheard him telling someone he likes the scent of Noxema. Well – I laded it on thick, and even rubbed it into my clothes. When he walked into the classroom, the first thing he said right at the door is “oh gross, what is that Noxema.” I had on enough to kill a horse. I was so embarrassed, and then he seemed obnoxious to me over that. Crushed by my crush.
Luckily I have no obnoxious moment! But would love to enter the giveaway anyway.
I crushed on my husband for a long time without any signs that he might like me too. It turns out that he thought I liked his friend. Then our friends told each other that we were both secretly crushing on the other. It was very high school and ended with us making out during a techno night at a college bar. We’ve been together ever since.
I am a little late to the party, so I would love to be introduced to the Bradfords. Not sure about “obnoxious crush” moments, but I have definitely been embarrassed in front of some attractive and “bratty men”. Like slipping and falling on the dance floor in front of a guy I had my eye on. Not my most graceful moment.
Jason,my favorite Bradford ever!!!!but Lucifer can give him a run for the money!
Thanks Maryse and RL :))
Jason is my fav!! Thanks for the chance. 😉
I FELL hard for Jason many years ago. He along with Travis, Christian Grey, etc were my first crushes. First book-boyfriends. Loved the first book. Yay, I’m curious about this book now. Thanks for sharing this, Maryse.
Definitely Jason from the first book, loved the way he was obsessed with food!
I was in middle school and I had had a crush on the same boy for years I liked to lean back in my chair in class and I somehow kicked my desk over so All my stuff went flying including a note I had written to my friend to give to her when I passed her in the hall and it was talking about how you know who was in my class and how cute I thought he was and all that stuff one of my friends I don’t know if he was a friend he liked to torment me so much picks up the note opens it and starts reading it to the class but crush wasn’t impressed wasn’t worth my time anyway!!!
I am laughing so hard, it’s been awhile since I’ve read R.L. Mathewson, so I’m super excited for this. Thanks for the sneak peak and for the contest
What a great sneak peak cant wait it read this!
Yay! Thanks for a wonderful giveaway! Can’t wait to read the newest book in the series! Jason will always be my favorite!
Thanks for the hilarious excerpt! I had a huge crush on a bartender many years ago while I was in college. I got the courage to walk up to the bar one night and invited him over for a lasagna dinner. He looked at me and said he couldn’t because he was married so I said “That’s okay, come over for spaghetti instead!” Then I turned and ran to hide in the bathroom! lol
I love this series of books! Looking forward to reading this one.
Can’t wait to check this book out!
This has been on my Kindle soooo long, but now is a given I will read it next.
My biggest crush was Paul Walker, sadly I’ll have to wait until my next life to meet him.
I thank you as always for all of your hard work and another amazing giveaway!!
*Hugs*
My favorite Bradford is the first and only Jason!!!
Trevor is my all time favorite Bradford. I was madly in love with my neighbor but he looked at me like a little sister since we practically grew up together. He just so happened to be the Captain of the football team the year our school took the State Championship. We all ran on the field and I ran right up to him to congratulate him on a great game. He picked me up, twirled me around and gave me a huge kiss (on the forehead, damnit) in front of the entire school!! It is a moment in my teenage life that has stuck with me all these years later.
Thanks for your blog and thanks for the chance to win.
Jason, the one who started it all!!! After his book I was hooked!! Thanks for the chance!!
Such an awesome opportunity!!!! I LOVE this cover!!!! My favorite is Jason! My first NFH love!
Oh Damn; I missed out on this one! But the book sounds like another one I HAVE to read! 😀
