It’s time for another news round-up and I’ve got some goooooood stuff. In fact, you can actually WATCH two of ’em, right now. 😀 Early release on a certain “tv show” (based on one of your favorite books) and then some more awesome news all around that I know there will be squeeing over.

Cara McKenna (one of my FAVORITE authors in the world) has an awesome blog that helps aspiring authors (kind of like a “Dear Abby” type thing that is SO fun to read)! And her latest post entitled “The Next Big Thing” (about chasing trends) and… it mentions me!! Oh yeah… she’s 100% my kind of author when she says:
“I want to write what I want to write, and I want to read what I want to read, whether it came out last night at midnight or thirty years ago.”
and…
“I know you like the idea of chasing trends, but consider if you might also want to be a writer like Kristen Ashley, who wrote whatever the f*ck she wanted, and wrote and wrote and wrote, and ultimately became the embodiment of hot, herself. Do you want to be Kristen Ashley, or one of the many authors now clambering to chase the trends she probably didn’t even realize she was setting?”
I totally feel this.
Brittainy Cherry announced a new book (the cover and blurb!!) in her “Elements” series entitled “The Gravity of Us”. It’s coming out in just a couple of weeks (April 13th to be exact). Ahhhhh to sounds so love-story intense and angsty and YES PLEASE!!!

Joe Hill posted a HILARIOUS photo on Twitter of the cover letter that his father (*ahem* Stephen King!!!) “helped” him with. *snort*
“In the late 1990s I asked my Dad how to write a cover letter for my short fiction submissions. He was glad to help out.”

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep!!!!!!! Not his son, Joe Hill but his son Owen King!! GAH!!! Books about some weird-ass thing/disease/event that happens to an entire population of women FREAKS. ME. OUT. YAY!!!! 😀

Lily White (she’s had one of her DARK READS BANNED!!) has a new release coming out in THAT. VERY. SERIES!!! It’s called “Her Master’s Redemption”. She just posted the cover reveal and blurb and it’s coming out in June. He’s the son of a Master and his courtesan (oooh I know that one!!).
