Happy Sunday!! And OMG I think this list just might be as cool as Friday’s list was. I. FOUND. US. GOODIES!!! As usual, there are a few intriguing new releases that just popped up, and a few mega-sales of super-popular books for us to enjoy! But if you’re looking for a “Maryse tried-and-true” read, I just finished a hilarious and endearing comedy romance that perked up my whole weekend! The Truth in Lies Saga is a trilogy….GOTTA READ IN ORDER!!!! Girl in love (secretly) with boy but boy is dating girl’s BFF….it’s a must read!

I decided I needed gritty, so I went with Joanna Wylde’s new one, Silver Bastard. Definitely MC Club gritty!!! And there are appearances by our old faves. (I swear, I am so bipolar when I read. I need sweet, then PNR, then funny, then gritty, then UF.
I’m 20% through Against the Dark by Carolyn Crane. I’m really liking it. It was free a few days ago and may still be. Definitely grab it if so.
I finished Truth in Lies and oh the feels! I can’t wait to read book 2 🙂 FYI its sexy but the bedroom scenes fade to black. It didn’t bother me though.

So a little off topic but we read romantic stories. This song came on and I’ve always loved it & this version. I just think it is a beautiful song. Only within the last year or so learn that supposedly Doc Pomus wrote it on his wedding day. He had polio and married a Broadway dancer. I don’t know I just think it makes the song even more lovely.

So I am not really feeling book 2 in the Truth in Lies series :/ Its from Drew’s POV but he doesn’t “sound” like a guy to me, you know what I mean? Which makes it difficult for me to get into the story because I can’t connect with him. I am so sad because I really liked the first book.
I got excited when I first saw book 3 Truth In Lies series was out, but then I realized it is by another author. I’ve been waiting for book 3 by Katherine Owen. Although, the one on this list sounds angsty good too!!
Finished Fair Game which reminded me of The Mistake and The Deal; they hate each other and it’s a slow buildup to getting together, but it’s not quite as good. Now I’m reading Carter Reed. It’s good, but I’ve been able to put it down. I think I’ll read book 2 after it, but I may need a change of a pace- maybe The Virgin Romance Novelist.
I’m reading Scarred Love (Sulfur Heights Book 1). Had it on my Kindle and forgot all about it. Only on chapter 3, but it has my attention so far. Anyone else read it?
