HAPPY FRIDAY!! I’m planning a reading weekend, ’cause it’s going to rain like crazy here (YAY RAIN!!). I love the rain because of the sound (so cozy), and because my trees and plants THRIVE after a good, deep rainfall, and because we can’t really do anything (or feel like going anywhere) so it’s guilt-free reading for me. 😀

When my granddaughter was here for Christmas, and she loves to read. She made me promise I would read: A COURT OF THORNS & ROSES series. She insisted I buy all 5 books, so I could start the next book as soon as I finished one! I bought the entire series in one-click! I’m so good at that! I just started reading book 1 so no one can expect too much from me for a while. She kept telling me how good it was! I’ve heard good things before, so in I go!

LOL!!! I’m hoping to pick up my reading too, this year. I have DNF’d so many and finished some that took me forever to finish (because I just wasn’t that into them, but determined to finish some due to popularity)…
So I have a list of books I need to review, and yet I still need… to review them. LOL!!!

I have no issue dnf-ing if I am only a chapter or two in… but any further than that I will torture myself to finish. Especially if its a popular book.
Not sure if you have the time to do lists like you used to but an interesting one is “most disappointing read of 2023”. For me was Lovelight Farms by B.K. Borison. I waited over 6 months from library and it turned out to be a snooze-fest and the “mystery” was silly. ☹
