Leslie, I loved I Suck at Girls too. It’s on my 2018 fave list, even. Have you gotten to the cave scene yet? It’s the best, honestly, you’re tummy will hurt SO much!! Lol

I did the KU thing too but when it first was offered, so mine is up in Feb. I have been enjoying the audiobooks as some come with audible version free.

You would love it Maryse! You probably missed it because it was her second release right before RUSH.

Leslie-Don’t feel bad that you didn’t like KULTI, I started The Wall of Winnipeg another huge favorite on here end of last year and I put it to the side for now. I struggled with the h in that one. It may have been just the whole holiday time and being busy as to why I couldn’t get into it. IDK So I am going to at a later date try to finish it.

Jenn, I loved Lucifer. Of course, I also loved The Wall of Winnipeg…so retry it at another time.
Leslie…A Million Little Things is one of my fave shows right now and shockingly…my hubby watches with me. That’s extremely rare.

Ugh…I have a typo up there…I hate when that happens and I can’t correct it. That’s so going to bug me now!!

YES! More Lucifer fans! I just finished Lucifer and I’m so sad it’s over. But, I stalked some actors’ Instagram pages and it’s possible the new season airs in April. They have definitely finished filming.

Just finished Meghan March Anti- Hero trilogy. First was Savage Prince. Got bad reviews because it started with a sex scene. And people got turned off because they thought no plot. They were wrong. It has a very developed plot involving Mount (previous series) and plot that twists until you can’t figure out who is guys and who is bad.

Alright, last night I finished Amelia Hutchins Becoming his Monster and OMG, WTF? Where is the end? I thought it was a trilogy! *bangs head* Still, it’s a good thing it didn’t end because there were so many questions. I was at 85% and looking at the thing like huh? How is this gonna be wrapped up that quickly. Now… I know. lol
That said, OMG. It was good but my heart hurt so badly so many times. It wasn’t a happy book, but the action and the character development, superb. Also, we know what happened in the end of the last one! YAY!

I grabbed the KU subscription special a few weeks ago, and I’m pleasantly surprised by how many authors I wtr are on there. I’ve had a binge on RS Grey, and have also read a few others. At the moment I’m thinking I’ll keep my subscription when it runs out, cos for me it looks like it’s going to be good value. I LOVE just trying a book and thinking, OK, it’s free, I’ll just keep going. But if I have to pay full price, so often if I’m a bit doubtful, I just think, maybe no.
So glad you’re enjoying Kulti, Jenn. Maybe one day you’ll go back to WoW too. But that slow burn style isn’t for everyone, and yeah, I understand where you’re coming from Leslie.

I have KU and for me it is worth it. Since I started I have only been reading KU books and Jan’s right, there are a lot of KU books. I average 10-14 books/month which would cost $3-5 each which is a lot more than the my original $9.99/month. I just signed up for the 1 year special, which ends up being around $6.50/ month. My only complaint is you have to be pretty diligent about adding the KU book to your GR account, because once you return it, it’s gone from your Kindle, as is any record of you reading it. Wish when you returned it to Amazon, there was a check off- if read it/date or DNF.
Now to decide on my drink for tonight. Old Fashioned, Baileys, something Vodka…

I missed peeking in this morning before I went to the doctor, so Happy Friday and Happy Weekend! I forgot to mention that I went to my orthopedic surgeon on Wednesday and they took out my 45 stitches (NOT fun) and said I’m ahead of the game with bending and straightening my leg and putting a bit of weight on it, so YAY!
So leg is healing and I’m out of my reading slump–life is great! I’ve just started Skin by B.B Easton. I must have been living under a rock, because I just recently discovered this series and the accompanying 44 Chapters About 4 Men, and now I’m looking forward to some edgy reading!

Cheryl–you can look up all your past and present KU books on Amazon. Just go to the dropdown menu under “Accounts & Lists” at the top of most any Amazon page and under “Your Account” you’ll see “Your Content & Devices” (kinda toward the bottom of the dropdown list). Click on that, and all of your book purchases will come up. Go to the top left where it says “Show” and then “Books” in a box with some arrows. Click on those arrows and it’ll give you a drop down menu. Toward the bottom of it, you’ll see “Kindle Unlimited”. Click on that and you see your currently checked out KU books. So then click on the arrows in the “All” box, and you’ll get another drop down menu. Click on “Returned” and it’ll show you every KU book you’ve checked out, along with the dates. Then those can be sorted by the box to the right of that.

Janie–after seeing the supposedly ‘cleaner’ shampoos that don’t lather, like Wen, I wanted to try them. But I wasn’t going to pay Wen prices, so I looked at WalMart and found Renpure Solutions Rosemary Mint Cleansing Conditioner (which is called ‘conditioner’ but is actually meant to be used as a non-lathering shampoo). I’ve used it for a couple of years and I love it! I no longer have to use both shampoo and conditioner and I love the smell!

I am really enjoying everyone’s top 2018 read and my TBR list now overflowing.
One of my last top reads of 2018 was Untouchable by Sam Marino. The first 10% was a tough read but after that I couldn’t put it down. I really enjoyed the push and pull of the two main characters and by the end I believed in their story. That’s all I’ll say about that one…

I’m not sure what you mean by box to the right. I know KU keeps record of books I have borrowed and returned, but sometimes I return them without reading them at all or DNF. Happy your leg is improving!!
Tessa, does that work for KU too? I’m not sure I have them linked as I’ve had to manually add what currently reading and what have read.

Cheryl–I wish I could show you a pic! lol If you see that dropdown box, you’ll see that one of the options to click on is ‘returned’ (borrowed KU books that have been returned). But I see what you’re saying–it doesn’t tell you if you’ve DNF’d it. However, what we’ve done for hubs several times when he can’t remember if he enjoyed a book is check out the book again and open it. If it opens at anywhere less than 100%, he knows that he tried to read it and gave up early.

Cheryl, I’ve not tried it on a laptop. It’s harder for me to read on a laptop because of the glare. I use my Kindle or my phone if my kindle is almost dead. Usually the result of reading at night with a low battery and forgetting to plug it in. lol

Grey, let’s party!!! just made myself an Old Fashioned and TRYING to find a book to read. Have clicked on several samples, but nothing interests me, yet!

That’s something I’d never think to do, sounds tasty though! I, sadly, had McDs. And, I didn’t even eat it. Just drank my mango pineapple smoothie. I’m just so thirsty for some reason.
I keep buying books, starting books, adding books to my tbr, and inevitably watching tv. Gossip Girl is my latest addiction.

Oh dangit, I’m late as usual and missed Leslie’s request for a drink for Cheryl! Looks like she found one despite my radio silence. 😉 Well, I can whip up something right now if you ladies are game. I know it’s Sunday and most of us have to work tomorrow, but what’s a drink or three gonna matter? FIREFLY MARTINIS ALL AROUND!!
I’m currently working through the 2018 favorites lists, and I’m really enjoying them! I’m seeing some I remember wanting to read but forgot about, and I love that the lists are jogging my memory.
And I swear my heart fell into my stomach when I saw bev’s comment about what we would do if Maryse shut down the blog. Oh man, that was an ugly feeling. 😕

Yum! I love frittatas, quiche and anything egg-y.
Amy, I got a stomachache too thinking of Maryse ditching us. If she tries, we will hunt her down and shove a laptop in her face. 😉
