Friday Finds & Reader Recommendations – 01-17-2025

HAPPY FRIDAY & HAPPY WEEKEND!! I’ll be taking it easy this weekend ’cause the first two weeks of the year have been INSANE at work and I’m exhausted. I’m sitting here in my pajamas, and my cozy zippered hoodie and my dogs nestled, scouring the internet for books, and planning my own next read, while I finish the one I started and that is so titillating!

P.S. I had the creepiest dream which would make for an excellent scene in a horror/thriller book (or movie). Eeeeeep. I remember it so clearly and it made so much sense and then I woke up before I could get the “message” that was meant for me. Gah!!! I hate when that happens.

Anyway, wanna hear what it was about? Okay (skip this part if you just want to check out the Friday Finds below. LOL!

Okay, so, I’m at a small bar, and in the corner, up on a small stage of sorts, is the “entertainment” of the night (an asian guy that’s all lit up from below – like… spotlighted in the dark, sitting at a tiny desk, and he looks like he’s super concentrated and working with cards, and papers and stuff). My table is pretty much right next to it, but I don’t really pay attention to him. And at some point, he suddenly comes over to me and says, “I have received a message for you, make sure to come and see me before you leave. It’s important” (more cryptically than that, but that was the gist). And then he gets back to his desk and immediately goes back into his… work-trance thingie.

And then suddenly, there’s my sister, and she sees me and comes over to sit with me at my table, and we’re chatting and happy, and all of the sudden, her eyes start fluttering quickly and she gets sucked into his trance or something and starts repeating what he’s saying (in my dream, I hear her words clearly but they don’t make sense to me, or are not a complete message, and now, awake, I can’t remember what the words were)… and that’s when I realize he’s a psychic or divinator or something, and his message comes from that! And then I look at the bartender and I said… did you see that? And he’s freaked out and my sister comes out of the trance and she’s freaked out… and I can’t wait to get my message, but I’m freaked out, and then I wake up. GAH!!!!!! WHAT. WAS. THE. MESSAGE??

Okay so that’s my story. 😂 Now…
