What am I reading next? I’ve got two books picked out for this weekend to read (one super-angsty romance that’s from a few years ago Don’t Let Go). It was recommended as a great choice for what to read after The Sweet Gum Tree, and then those that jumped in went CRAZY for it, and commented on that post saying so. SO yeah… I GOTTA read it!!!

Omg! Why is it so quiet in here today? Are a lot of people on spring break? My son’s starts Monday, but we’re not doing anything.
Nay I’m quiet ’cause I’m still sick. This is the longest cold I’ve ever had I think. It’s obnoxious and miserable. I go through periods of thinking I’m getting better, to days where I realize it’s just “moving” to a new part of my body. I know so many in my entourage that have it too, and they’re saying the same thing. two to 3 weeks long…
I’ve been shopping all day for make up and picture outfits. I’m 3/4 of the way done and was feeling confident in all the outfits I got, until the kids said mine looks like something Grandma wears. *glares* (It’s a kimono) Now I’m gonna have to try it back on and ponder.
That seems early for spring break, Nay. Ours is tied into Easter, just a long weekend. Hey, our box shipped today! I think it should arrive in about 3 days.

Ours varies year to year. Last year it was around this time of year. This year, it’s the week before Easter. My sister-in-law works for a school and her’s is in two weeks.

Finished Daisy Jones and I agree with earlier comments that audio is the way to go. It was also a little frustrating to keep up with everyone because I was reading a hardcover I got from the library. I’ve gotten used to being able to search and keep notes on my kindle. It was a good story but tended to drag and I was waiting for the “big event” and it just fell flat.
Not sure what I am going to read next.

Amy, I bought a ton of new makeup! Now, there were 2 lip cremes? I’m not sure what they’re called that I really liked and I’m thinking I want to go back and get the other one too. I ended up buying Tarte’s rainforest? Honestly I’m not sure what that line is, but I bet you’ll know in Salt lyfe. The other was, I think, a Sephora one that was a little pinker. And I got the Too faced better than sex mascara, a foundation primer by bare minerals for dry skin, a blush by Nars in Amour and a new eyeliner in an ashy brown. And the Naked 2 basics palette. I’m not sure about that one yet. I dk how to layer or whatever. I’ll check YouTube. Also, do you put eyeshadow primer on before the liner too?

I know bev. But the tide is shifting and people are starting to call that bad behaviour out into the open more often now, and make the creepy men accountable. Our culture needs to keep changing for the better in this regard.

Rapture by N.N. Britt
–An angsty, emotional rollercoaster rockstar romance that deals with some dark stuff. Like “No Tomorrow”, it’s much different from other rockstar books, and lots of people are loving it–I floved it! The author is an L.A.-based photographer and journalist in the rock ‘world’, so she knows her subject matter very well. We mentioned this one on Thurs., but I think the posts got buried.
Storm the Castle (Marry the Scot series, #1) by Jolie Vines
–it’s set primarily in the Scottish Highlands (the hero’s name is Callum) and is about an arranged marriage to a Scottish laird. I can’t wait to read this one–I love when the h is called “lass” (swoooon).

Leslie, I like sexy covers too, just not the torsos with unrealistic ten-packs. They just make me think the guy spends waaayyyy too much time in the gym. And frankly, I’d be a little scared of a guy with a bod like that! They don’t seem real.
I like a handsome clothed man on the cover too, or a couple together. I’d rather see faces than just a torso.
Tasha, I don’t know if when you were looking you did this, but when looking for cream, specify off-white. All cream shades fall under that “color” in fashion.
They don’t even have off white. Except that 1 I did find, but it’s barely and even still I dk if I like the idea. It doesn’t seem to fit with everything else. I’m wondering if I should just go navy. Like in a polo or button up? Or maybe a shade of green, but that’s about as laughable as the cream. And I thought about light blue too, like the other polo or a real light denim color? I’m all over the place – with everything and it’s driving me crazy. I think it’s my hormones. Lol
