And there is the off the charts sexual attraction & totally forbidden draw between the boss & his nanny!!
Susan: I just finished reading T L Swan’s Mr. Masters and it’s on KU. I couldn’t put it down. It has been a while since I have read some of her books and I had forgotten what a great writer she is and her books are steamy. I have loved every book I have read of her’s. All of her books are free on KU right now if you are looking for some great reads. The Stanton Series and Dr. Stanton Series are great too!!

Grey: Hmm, I need a good bully. …I’m feeling some angst today.
Tasha J: Have you read the Dark Legacy series, Grey? It’s goood. Has that Fallen Crest-ish feel.
Grey: *perks ears up* um, I don’t think so? Who’s it by?
Tasha J: Jaymin Eve and Tate James. I wasn’t sure at first when I started it. I went in blind, thought it was going to be paranormal or something, but it sucked me in around 20% and I jumped right into book 2. #3 comes out Aug 11

Kathy P: I read the Penalty Box by Odette Stone yesterday. I have read all 3 books in this hockey series. I love hockey romances 🙂 These books are perfect for summer vacation reading.
Cheryl: Kathy I love sports romances too. Noticed the first two books in the series are available on Hoopla. Going to listen to those and then get Penalty Box on KU.. 😉

- The Sound of Rain by Gregg Olsen <— NAY IS LOVING THIS AUTHOR!!
Nay: I’ve found a new-to-me thriller author that I LOVE–Gregg Olsen. I’m listening to The The Weight of Silence: Nicole Foster Thriller Series, Book 2 (sequel to The Sound of Rain) right now, and it is intense! It does have some disturbing content, so it’s not for everyone. I’ve listened to 3 of his books in a row, and I’m hooked! Oh, and many of his books (and audio books) are free with KU!
Leslie M: Nay, that is me too with the audiobooks. I even listen in the car. Love them!! You used to hate them right? It’s all a matter of keep trying til you get used to it and then BAM, you get hooked.
Maryse: I don’t have an audible subscription yet, so I can still get in on these deals. BUT I also don’t listen to audiobooks enough yet.
Nay: Maryse–if you’re like me, once you start listening, you won’t be able to stop! It’s so great to listen when you’re cooking, cleaning, doing laundry (it’s awesome when you’re folding clothes!) I’ve been listening to so many thrillers: Jar of Hearts (LOVED), the Gregg Olsen books I mentioned the other day, which are free in audio with KU, and, of course, the one I can’t shut up about–Blake Crouch’s Wayward Pines (and also Luther Kite) series. I’ve listed to other books of his that were great too.
I’m constantly walking around with my earbuds in and having to yank one out and say, “Huh?” to everyone in my house.

So…that little marvel up there by Kate Stewart. You’re gonna love it! Laney is our kinda girl! #JustSayin and heyyy! Guess who is first!
YAYYYYY!!! I love knowing that!! 😀 *claps*
*twirls in the glitter*
But why is she our kind of girl?
Because she dies at the end?
GASP!!!!
*snort*
bev… *snort* I legitimately laughed out loud at this…
Hey, bev! *waves*
Yaaaay!! I was just saying yesterday how much I wanted to read The Guy on The Right. Woohoo!
Tasha, do you have KU?
Yep, I’ve been reading it all day
Okay, just checking…I was going to gift you a copy, if not. Hope you’re enjoying the read! I’m finally settled down enough to read. I thought I was going to read last night, but wound up going to dinner and a movie with my bestie instead. Tonight, I cooked my face off for my hubby’s birthday…but he’s been up since 4am, so he’s in a complete carb coma right now and will be sleeping in…oh, about 20 minutes. So I’ll be digging into either Broken Wings or The Mafia and His Angel in about that long. I downloaded both. This is going to come down to a rousing game of eenie, meanie, miney….which cover grabs me more.
Um, considering I was tortured as to which to recommend as a PFM, I think you’ll be fine picking either one. 😀
Read both Dark Legacy books… Starting The Mafia and his Angel now… This is what happens when I get time to just…breathe!
Good morning!
Re: the fried clams discussion from yesterday. Should anyone travel to New England…fried clam “strips” are w/o the belly. Fried clams = whole clams. I dont eat any of it but around here they are a fave. Oooh and yes EVERYWHERE seems to sell “lobstah” rolls too in summer. Also, pleh to me.
I am SOOOO hungry right now and all I want are all the *pleh* things you mentioned. LOL!!!
Ooh me too Maryse. I love lobster (aka crayfish). I’ve never tried the clam strips, but now I want all the pleh too. Yum.
Good morning! Happy Friday!!
Good morning Nay!! 😀
♥️♥️♥️
I am speechless with all the book love! My TBR is screaming because I’m tossing newbies on it right and left….I just can’t resist….
I know!! So many recommendations came my way, and I was so happy!!!
It’s a fun Friday for sure, Maryse!!
I can’t decide! I need to finish my pick for me book, and I’m enjoying it, but there’s so MUCH!!
Yeah I need to increase my tbr like I need a hole in the head. But I’m going to check out Mr Masters and also The Assist. New-to-me authors. You never know.
bev, you’re back. hello! *waves* We missed you.
Jan I was thinking about you because of a K drama, lol. It is on Netflix, Rookie Historian. It is a Fusion sageuk so historical but a modern take. Anyway, she is the rookie historian and he is a prince who is a secret romance author. It is getting some praise from drama watchers for being fun and having a nice feminist bent. 4 eps are out….I’m starting it today. The ML is still a green actor, but haven’t heard any complaints. He is an idol who is known for his visuals. Anyway, I know you like HR and BBC productions too. Plus, the costumes look beautiful.
Thanks bev. I love how you find all these great shows. I might check it out. My problem with watching netflix is that my husband and I often watch tv together but we don’t always have the same taste in shows. I need to find time when I can watch it in peace with no grumpy sighs from my other half.
I just finished Last Summer. Loved the complexity of the story and trying to figure out what happened. Only complaint is the ending. Now I think I am going to start the new Kate Stewart one. 😉
Maryse, we need a list (or updated one if there is one) of Bully to lovers romance books please! I’m addicted to this trope right now and I am definitely not bored of it just yet. 😉
Hi Ali!
Here you go 🙂 https://www.maryse.net/tag/bossy-bullies
I’m here in TN. We did a whole lot of nothin so far. I had a slight panic attack when we tried to go out earlier. Or I felt crap and panicked because of it. I don’t do well out of my comfort zone and the farther, the worse I am. Also, highways give me supreme anxiety. I’m hoping the next stretch tomorrow will be better, but I know it’ll suck. Atlanta is the worst. So, last big vacation for me for a few years. And somewhere cold next.
Tasha, I get anxiety when traveling too. It’s like I forget and then freak out in middle of vacation. Hang in there!!
Yes, I swear I was calm before it hit. I forgot too. It’s always better in my head.
Tasha… I just saw this. I’m the same way… as I get older, I feel better close to home… stupid anxiety.
Anxiety comes out of anywhere.
One of the last times it hit me big was the GR buddy read group and that’s in my livingroom, lol. 🤷♀️
I just noticed all the new people and got that crawly neck and fast heart beat …..
Hey, that little person is different than the one on my phone. How’d it know I was a blonde?
