The student is of age and the overall sexy portions were tasteful and not many! I loved the chemistry of the characters and HATED some of the others. Lol it was FANFRIGGINTASTIC!!!

Jackie: …wanted to mention a book that I picked up at my library, have not heard anyone mention this and it’s a new to me author- Mahairi McFarland’s Don’t You Forget About Me. Definitely file this under British rom-com.
If you love the Bridget Jones character, this is one to add to your list. I feel like I’d group this with One Day in December: A Novel and The Flatshare: A Novel which have been two books I have loved this year.

Good morning!! Guess what? I finished a book! The Whisper Man, in fact. It was good, but didn’t scare me. I agree with everything Nay said about it and also give it 4 stars.
YAY!! And awwww. I want one that SCARES me!!!! Especially since we’re October. I wanna read some that give me goosebumps and make me wanna sleep with the lights on for at least the night I’m reading it.
Me too!! Where is that book? I will hunt.
YAY!!!! I have an older “best horror” list on here somewhere but… I want more.
Wait, I know, Fantasticland! There’s a particular chapter near the end that just *shivers*. Or I’m a baby cuz I never read this stuff and it was exciting to me. We’ll find out when 1 of u read it too! 😜
It’s written interview style and I tell u, all those voices, the multiple reports/point of views just give it this extra something. I really loved it.
I have this one on my TBR – I need to move it up!
Happy Friday!!
*grabs all of Grey’s glitter bombs*
🎉🎉🎉
YAYYYYY FRIDAY!!!!!!! 😀
*twirls in all the crazy happy glitter*
Oh wow!! I just snagged Mine!!! I already read it through the library but at that price, I can’t pass up owning it!! Such a great read!!
While I’m raving with tons of exclamation points, I have to tell you all that I finished reading The Grace Year by Kim Liggett last night…wow! It was awesome! It was a different read for sure and kind of hard to explain but absolutely fantastic. I know at some point I will have to read it again because there was so much going on that I feel like I may have missed things along the way. It releases on Tuesday and I highly recommend it. It’s been described as Handmaid’s Tale meets Lord of the Flies and Hunger Games…I can see the comparisons but it definitely is it’s own story. Definitely on my favorites list for the year!
Yes!! I was really looking forward to this one, glad it scored high points. I’ve never watched The Handmaid’s Tale (or read) or Lord of the Flies so I can’t wait to jump in and see what else I may enjoy.
Tasha, I think you’ll really like it!
I’m adding it to this week’s Friday Finds!! This sounds AMAZING!! I’ve watched The Handmaid’s Tale and I’ve read Lord of the Flies (and loved both) so big huge SQUEE from me on this!!
Maryse I just finished reading Perfectly Adequate by Jewel E Ann and OMG I LOVE IT!!! I was expecting myself to laugh because of the emu on the cover. But I wasn’t expecting myself to cry. The hero is just a very very good guy. The heroine is simply superhero Dorfee!!!
I love Jewel E. Ann so I’m thrilled you came back with this feedback!!!
Results of my hunt- based off ‘What to read after’ from FantasticLand, since I thought that was a big help to me, after reading blurbs, pretty good ratings….The Rust Maidens by Gwendolyn Kiste, Kill Creek by Scott Thomas, In the River by Jeremy Robert Johnson, or In the Valley of the Sun by Andy Davidson. I want to pick one to try, but which to choose?? I should just finish Year One, continue my roll, but the squirrel is strong. Not even mentioning my “short list” from earlier this week. 🤦♀️ Must stop looking!!
You’re killing me Tasha! I just added most of those to my TBR! You should definitely hang in there and finish Year One too…there is a lot of “world building” in the first book but I really love that series and can’t wait for the third book to come out!!

This made me think of Maryse. Not sure if this pic will post. 😬
Awe man it didn’t. It’s a jack o lantern with a sunflower carved out.
Awwwww!!! I LOVE sunflowers!!! On Monday, I’ll show you guys my painting. 😀 And probably a pic of Birdy too.
I’m going to check out Mr Mayfair and also Viral.
Serenading Heartbreak fantastic book, I was in a slump for two weeks and It brought me out of it. Cannot recommend it enough. Angsty, love triangle, rockstar.
Liz, that one looks so good. Love triangles are one of my fave tropes.
I love Love Triangles too!!! YAY! Thank you for telling us, Liz!
Well, I started The Rust Maidens last night bc it’s short and that’s where eenie meenie landed, fell asleep at 9:30. 🙄 And just got back from The Octoberfest (way too crowded, but I had some AHMAZING sauerkraut balls) so I’m settling in with hot apple cider with whip cream and some popcorn here in a bit. I wanna watch something seasonal. Tomorrow is an all cleaning day (I’ll likely get little done) and this week is also cleaning/decorating prep for a birthday sleepover next weekend (help me) that leaves little time for reading, again. I’ll continue to live vicariously through you guys!
