Hope: I just finished Coerce by Candace Wright. I read it in one sitting, finished as the sun was coming up. I literally couldn’t put it down. It’s loaded with creepy, stomach turning “EEEEK!” factor; not for the faint of heart. The characters are very well written and it does turn out ok in the end.

Only she doesn’t count on meeting sexy and successful Jackson on their first night there. He isn’t spooked by her unorthodox reason for being in town, and doesn’t hesitate to let Kez know he’s the man she needs. - MORE RECOMMENDATIONS FROM TASHA J!!
Tasha J: I have actually finished the mafia book (The Family) which was my November pick for book of the month subscription. I appreciated that the focus was not so much the business side of it or the men, but the women, specifically 2 who grew up in it and had a deep bond. Some reviews stated that it starts slow and really picks up in the second half. I didn’t have complaints for the pacing and enjoyed getting to know each girl’s personality and struggles throughout their youth and adulthood.
…and am currently reading A History of Wild Places and am so into it.
I have a couple kid book recommendations if anyone is interested, lol.
Recently read The Gingerbread Pirates by Kristin Kladstrup, kind of like a toy story type story, was really fun and had me laugh out loud a couple times.
And All the Colors of Christmas by Matthew Paul Turner that just told of the meaning of Christmas and the feelings and activities in a really beautiful way. I know it’s not our normal recs, but many have kids or Grands that might enjoy.
- The Prayers We Pray (The Path of Temptation Book 5) by Auryn Hadley
- Crimson Kingdom (The Lochlann Feuds Book 3) by Robin D. Mahle and Elle Madison <— FANTASY ROMANCE (MUST BE READ IN ORDER!!) “…Rowan thought she had escaped her life as a prisoner. But even in Lochlann, she is chained by the memories of everything she left behind in Socair. Of everyone she left behind. With her people clamoring for war, the responsibility falls on Rowan to enter into a marriage alliance..”
- Engaging Opal (A Mercy Ravens MC Novel Book 4) by M.J. Marino
- Naughty Saint Nick (Sinner’s Mark MC Series Book 1) by Sinclair Kelly <— REVERSE HAREM ROMANCE!!
- A Lie In Church by Juliet Ever <— OMG BLURB JOLT! THIS ONE SOUNDS CRAZY!! “...The last thing Chloe Simpson expected was to be declared the love of Tristian Sanchester’s life at the altar on his wedding to her sister’s best friend. Having not even seen him before, she was shocked at the very ridiculous turn of events as she tried to convince her parents that she had never seen the man in her entire life. But when you tell a lie in church, it was very easy for people to take it as the actual truth. Or maybe Tristan Sanchester was telling the truth? What was supposed to be a happy event turned out to be her worst nightmare…”
- Savage God: A Dark College Bully Romance by Ivy Blake
- Burning Secrets: A Small Town Mountain Man Suspenseful Romance (Mystery Town Part Three) by Ella Cooper
- Hush, Hush: A Dark College Romance (Pretty Little Dead Girl) by E. M. Moore <— HER FIANCE IS ALSO HER TORMENTOR!! “…Be pretty and social, not overconfident. These are the rules of the elite where being female means being a showpiece. The old guard doesn’t care what’s in our brains, and the Knights are the worst offenders. The longest running secret society won’t change easily, but that doesn’t mean I’ll stop trying…”

Hey, happy Friday! I have little time to read with the holidays and littles (winter break starts now, am excited!) but I think I’m doing pretty ok at finishing a couple books here and there. I have actually finished the mafia book (The Family) which was my November pick for book of the month subscription and am currently reading A History of Wild Places and am so into it.
YAY!! These sound so sweet! Okay I’m going to add them to the list. Did you like “The Family”?
I did!
Just a fly-by…

No kidding. I feel like posts have been wonky for weeks or. Hope you are ok
Some days, I take a day off from blogging. I work full time.
We know and I don’t know you do it to keep us all entertained, we miss you when you don’t post
Thank you Liz. I didn’t mean to sound so… abrupt this morning. I just feel bad sometimes when I don’t blog (it’s my passion) and this year has been hard.
