It’s finally Friday and we have 25 book finds!! From sales, to new releases to reader recommendations (<— mostly those, which are my favorite ’cause you know they are tried and true), we have a weekend full of good reading waiting for us.

And, I’ll add more throughout the day, if we find ‘em. So let me know if you see one that should be on here today.

Let’s read!!

  • Voyeur by Fiona Cole <— STUDENT TEACHER ALERT!!! Oooooh this sounds delightfully scandalous *waggles eyebrows* She doesn’t KNOW her professor is the one watching her… “...I didn’t know she was my student the first time I paid to watch her at Voyeur. Once she walked into my classroom, another smiling college freshman, I knew I should stop going. Stop watching. But I couldn’t do it. Everything about her makes me want more, and once I realize she wants me too, the temptation becomes irresistible. The worst part is that she has no idea her professor is the one watching behind the glass...”
  • Prodigal Son: Part One by Lauren Gilley <— LIVE!!! Lauren Gilley’s latest MC book!!! ;) “Charlie Fox has a special role in the Lean Dogs MC, bouncing from chapter to chapter, doing the crazy, risky, deadly things the others can’t. Uncomplicated, unfeeling, unaffected…until now…” The author says (4 installments):

“…You can read along as we go, or wait for the final version, up to you. Part two should be out in June.

This is NOT a standalone, and timeline-wise begins shortly after the events of Shaman…”

  • Unexpected Arrivals by Stephie Walls <— SUPER-BARGAIN & ONE OF NANCY’S FAVORITES OF 2017!!

Nancy: UNEXPECTED ARRIVALS by Stephie Walls in now on sale… & Kindle Unlimited, too! I think this is my favorite book written by Stephie Walls, and I have read most of them. It made my Favorite List of 2017.

Kandace: I’m on a total Stephie Walls binge. Maryse posted her newest book Unexpected Arrivals and I loved it. I loved it so much I dove straight into her backlist. Her duet “Bound” and “Freed” was so intense. Lots of drama and angst. Bound kind of had a DRIVE feels to it.

  • Six Feet Under (Mad Love Duet Book 1) by Whitney Barbetti <— LIVE!!! SHE’S OBSESSED WITH HIM ALERT!! “...No one tells you that love is a disease. An infection that tears your heart apart, leaving you half the person you were before. A malady that leaves open wounds. An invisible disorder tracing scars in the places you couldn’t see if you weren’t looking for them. I was sick, but love didn’t heal me. Instead, it festered in my marrow, and drove me to unforgivable mistakes. Six was my first mistake, but he wouldn’t be the last…” (Nancy found it for us!!)

Talon: Omg. Maryse. Six Feet Under is a must read. So amazing!

Nancy: Meet Mira the most messed up Character you will ever find in a book. She admits to being certifiable crazy. Raised by a single mom who is Bipolar & you don’t know if her mental illness was due to hereditary or else PTSD or both! The book was told from her point of view. I was exhausted from being in her warped mind. The book is over 500 pages, but does end on a cliff hanger. The author does give you a chapter of the next book: Pieces of Eight (Mad Love Duet Book 2).  (Release date May 9th).

  • After Anna <— NEWLY MARRIED & HER DAUGHTER IS MURDERED… Okay this one is NO bargain, but it’s a thriller and sounds so good, and is a recent release, so I had to post it (since it gave me a blur jolt). ;) “...Maggie and Noah know that having Anna around will change their lives, but they would never have guessed that everything would go wrong, and so quickly. Anna turns out to be a gorgeous seventeen-year-old who balks at living under their rules, though Maggie, ecstatic to have her daughter back, ignores the red flags that hint at the trouble brewing in a once-perfect marriage and home. Events take a heartbreaking turn when Anna is murdered and Noah is accused and tried for the heinous crime. Maggie must face not only the devastation of losing her daughter, but the realization that Anna’s murder may have been at the hands of a husband she loves…
  • Quinn (Vampires in America: The Vampire Wars Book 12) by D. B. Reynolds <— LIVE!!! VAMPIRES!!!
  • Witch Wants Forever (The Witches of Wimberley Book 2) by Victoria Danann <— LIVE!!!
  • Secrets Told (Moorhurst College Duet Book 2) by Allie Everhart <— DUET CONCLUSION!!
  • I Dare You by Shantel Tessier <— LIVE!!! NEWFOUND FREEDOM UNTIL SHE MEETS HIM!! “Only a few months and she will be free, or at least, that’s what she hopes … until she meets him. Cole Reynolds is the devil disguised as a man. He wants her fear, he wants her blood, and he wants her soul. Just a little game, he says, I dare you…”
  • Chase Calloway (Redemption Series, Book Two) by Sandi Lynn <— LIVE!! SHE WANTS NOTHING TO DO WITH HIM… “...They adore me because I’m charming and fun until I walk away, leaving them crying on the floor and begging me to stay. I can have any woman I want with the snap of my fingers, except for one-an incredibly beautiful woman named Kinsley Davis. She isn’t affected by me in the least. In fact, she wants nothing to do with me…” I dunno. He does seem unabashedly full of himself. Maybe that’s it? ;) Anyway, it’s a standalone. :D
  • Love in C Minor: a Backroads Duet (Volume One) by Mindy Michele <— LIVE!!! HER BROTHER’S BEST FRIEND ALERT!! “…When you’re the daughter of the mayor and the police chief in a sleepy Kansas town, toeing the line is easier than the alternative. That is, until her brother’s best friend changes the rules…”
  • Execution (Off Balance Book 2) by Lucia Franco <— TABOO ALERT!!! Recent release and Ratula found it for us!
Ratula: Lucia Franco’s much anticipated followup to Balance (Off Balance Book 1) – Execution came out on Monday and OMGGGGG it is crazyyy amazing. Taboo, addicting, pretty much a soap opera. Pretty much kindle crack and my top read for 2018.
  • Scarlet Stone by Jewel E. Ann <— JEWEL E. ANN SUPER-BARGAIN!! I’m now hooked on her, and Nancy found us this super-bargain (that I haven’t read yet!!!) GASP!! ;)

Nancy: This book has been in my Wish List for a while …a deal!!

Melissa: I have fell in love with this author’s books over the past few months through reading When Life Happened, Look The Part, Undeniably You, Idle Bloom, and Scarlet Stone, every one of these amazing books a 5+ star read for me!!! I still have more of her backlist to get to and of course this new Transcend duet, and can’t wait to immerse myself in more of her brilliant stories!!! I have had deja vu moments and they always kinda freak me out LOL!

  • Tinfoil Heart by Daisy Prescott <— FUN-SOUNDING RECENT RELEASE and we have feedback! D.G. is into it!

D.G.: LOVE the Quirkiness of this book so far!!! Just started reading and wondering …has Boone been possessed by aliens?!?!?

LisafromDFW: I started Tinfoil Heart last night. Excited to see where it goes

Nancy: This has been in my Wish List a long time! …50% off!
  • Anonymous by L.P. Dover <— LIVE!!! PSYCH-THRILLER ALERT!! HE WANTS HER. “...I have an amazing job owning my own bakery, and a wonderful husband who I love and who loves me back. Never once did I have to worry about anything, at least, not until the texts started coming in. They always begin the same way … numbers that spell my nickname when read upside down. 31773. It’s someone from my past, only they won’t to tell me who they are, but that by talking to them, I’ll figure it out. It’s a game I refuse to play. Unfortunately, I’m left with no choice when things begin to take a dangerous turn.  His name is Anonymous and there’s only one thing he wants … ME.”
  • The Family at Number 13: An absolutely gripping psychological thriller by S.D. Monaghan <— LIVE!!! PSYCH THRILLER ALERT!! Her perfect life is not so perfect at all… “...behind closed doors the truth is very different. Her husband Andrew barely speaks to her, spending his days down in the basement alone. Her teenage nephew is full of rage, lashing out with no warning. Her carefully constructed life is beginning to fall apart. And then someone starts sending Mary anonymous notes, threatening her and her family…
  • Welcome to the Dark Side (The Fallen Men Book 2) by Giana Darling <— FORBIDDEN RECENT RELEASE & we have feedback!

Julie O: I just finished Welcome To The Darkside and loved it. It also reminded me of Undeniable. Going to read the first one in the series which is about his son who has a relationship with his teacher.

MichelleS: I finished Welcome to the Dark Side. Was on a list this last week sometime. Anyhoo… if you want an MC “fix” it’ll do the job. Reminded me a teeny bit of Sheehan’s work, only because she was 7 when she met him & he was 26!!! But he’s not like Deuce. Physically, yes, and alpha, yes, but not WTF did he just do.., you know?

Lisa M: Waaaa!!! I’m reading Sergio by Natasha Knight!!! 3rd book in the series!!! So good. But if you have read the series so far you know why I’m crying!!! Great mafia series!!! Anyone else read it???
  • Burn So Good (Into The Fire Series Book 5) by J.H. Croix <— LIVE!! FIREFIGHTER/SECOND CHANCE ROMANCE ALERT!!…a hotshot firefighter, he’s all about saving others. Life ripped us apart, stealing more than I could’ve imagined. Time didn’t heal all of my wounds, and time never let me forget what we once had. Once again, Caleb comes to my rescue. This time, I’m running from a different set of demons. Maybe this time we have a second chance...”
  • The Woman Before You: The most shocking thriller you’ll read this year. by Carrie Blake <— LIVE!! PSYCH-THRILLER ALERT! SHE PLAYED A GAME WITH THE WRONG MAN……For Isabel Archer, dating is a way to pass the time in her otherwise comfortable life. She casts herself as the Perfect Girlfriend for every man she matches with, playing a different girl with a different back-story every night for months. It’s innocent – one goodnight kiss before swiftly deleting each profile – until she goes too far. Mathew likes playing games too…”
  • Transcend Duet by Jewel E. Ann <— OUR LATEST 5-STAR BOOK FRENZY & JOY AGREES!!!

Joy: Let me start by saying that I am in love with Griffin and all of his ***holery at times. It’s so hard to write anything about this book without giving anything away, and there is soooo much to say about this duet! There were times when my heart rate spiked so high that I had to walk away from my iPad. There were things that happened that I feel was not explained in enough detail and I feel empty! GAH, sugar, honey, ice, tea, I wanna ask you guys questions, but I don’t wanna spoil anything.

This duet is too amazing to spoil for anyone that plans to read it. I love the way that she and Griffin love each other. My heart ached for baby Morgan and Nate! My heart felt torn apart for Swayze!!! That woman had gone through the wringer. Dr. Albright was a wonderful addition to the story. I laughed so hard at Swayze 2.0!!!!

I need a novella for this duet. Something that explains the “why” questions in detail. Doug, need I say more. I can’t give this duet enough stars. It rocked my world!

Mona: I’m about 50% thru Road Tripped. It is laugh out loud hilarious! Where can I get a T-shirt for Intercourse, PA?? Reminds me of Uranus, MO and their infamous Uranus Fudge Factory!

Marina: Maryse, I am so happy you posted about Road-Tripped!!!! I hope you read it and am so excited that Mona and LisafromDFW will read it. I wanted to mention that it picks up after the first few chapters so stick with it. Soooo good and still thinking about it.

In fact I was in the hospital overnight and was reading book 2 in the middle of the night, Head-Tripped: A Sexy Rock Star Romance (Ad Agency Series Book 2). Great too! This one focuses on the other’s twin sister. Next up for sure is Disturbing His Peace. It’s been this slow tease reading about Danika and the Lieutenant and I NEED to know what happens with them!!! So excited to read. It’s been a great book roll. I feel like April is always a good book month. xoxo

Marina: Mona, I totally agree about needing that t-shirt!! Ugh, makes me want to read it all over again for the first time! (My older brother used to call me Uranus when I was little (we have a 7 yr age difference) and I didn’t get it. So sad.)

MichelleS: Did y’all hear the news? Scientists have discovered that Uranus smells like rotten eggs. I can’t make this crap up! Seriously. Uranus is smelly. My students died laughing today. Body functions are still a hit.

Marina: MichelleS, that is too much. Totally made me laugh! Classic.

Leslie M: Uranus is smelly!! *cackles with laughter*

Tessa: I got involved with Godhunter by Amy Sumida. It’s a great book, but my mind has to slow way down when trying to pronounce Huitzilopochtli. It’s one of those names that doesn’t sound like it’s spelled and I start pronouncing it how it is spelled. Who-its-lee-oh-poach-tlee. It’s actually pronounced wee-tsee-loh-pohch-tlee. TOO MANY SYLLABLES! I hope he dies soon so I don’t have to pronounce that name any longer.

Maryse: Tessa you just made me snort!!!!! “TOO MANY SYLLABLES! I hope he dies soon so I don’t have to pronounce that name any longer.” Seriously that is a line that we need to keep in our “best of” our blog conversations list.

Tessa: Hes the god of war and sun and other things.  :) his name in my head is now Wee Tee. Anyone who objects can take it up with the Aztecs for making their main God have such a tongue twister for a name.

Tessa: I have finished Godhunter! It’s the first of 22 books all on KU so I have a bunch of books to read. It was really good, though some things she recovered from WAY too quickly and others took her WAY too long. Still, it was fun and engaging, even if I did have to pronounce Wheety five hundred ways in my head. (By the end, he got named Weeteepeechee. Hopefully, I’ll get that name down eventually).

…And now he’s Wee tee poe tee. That god will probably never have a correct name unless a movie comes out featuring him and it repeats his name a ton of times. I did the same thing with Harry Potter. Until the movies, Hermione was Her me Own E. lol

  • I Dare You by Ilsa Madden-Mills <— LIVE & IT’S #3 ON AMAZON!!! WOW!!! FOOTBALL HERO/BAD BOY & NERDY GIRL ALERT! “…The late night text is random, but “Badass Athlete” sure seems to know who she is… Delaney Shaw. Good girl. Lover of fluffy kitties and Star Wars. Curious. His dare? Spend one night in his bed—a night he promises will be unforgettable—and she can solve the mystery of who he is…”
  • Bridging the Distance: A Kindred Tales Novel (Brides of the Kindred) by Evangeline Anderson <— LIVE!!! EVANGELINE ANDERSON ALERT!! My sister LOVES this series!!! :D Lorelei Daniels is having a terrible day–her self-driving car repossesses itself, she loses her job, and she’s about to get kicked out of her apartment. What else could happen? How about a visit from a huge Kindred warrior begging her to come help him rescue his twin brother who has been turned into a Cyborg?

For those going on a road trip soon, or maybe you’ve got some projects that require both hands this weekend but still allows you to “listen”… check out the free audible trial + 2 free audiobooks deal —>

  • AND! Here’s the fun-tool again! —> Find out which of YOUR Kindle books are available as audiobooks at a BARGAIN-PRICE! <— This thing is so cool (Amazon calls it “Matchmaker“)! It’s an Amazon feature, that scans all of your Kindle books and will list all of the ones you have that are also available as an audiobook at a discounted price (not normal audiobook prices). This way, you can switch back and forth, seamlessly between your ebooks and your audiobooks. VERY COOL!

PREORDERS (A few of next week’s!!! :D )

*tosses ALL of the Final Friday of Spring Break glitter*

Nay April 27, 2018 at 6:50 AM

Good morning! Happy, happy Friday!

Cheryl April 27, 2018 at 7:06 AM

Happy Friday!!!

It’s Prom day. Can’t wait to see my daughter all dressed up. :)

Leslie M April 27, 2018 at 7:15 AM

Good morning and Happy Friday! Getting ready to pick my next read. Not sure what I am in mood for and its too early for the May challenges. Hmmmmm…

Marina, will you be mad at me if I try Road Tripped and don’t love it?? I am notoriously picky. :(

Nay, how are you feeling? Did you get rid of the migraines?

Bev, I hope you had a fabulous birthday with lots of celebrating.

Nay April 27, 2018 at 8:34 AM

Leslie–much better! Thanks for asking. They finally had me go get blood work done, but by the time they got the results back, I felt fine. I think my thyroid got out of whack because I wasn’t sleeping well.

Hubs took the day off work today and just told me to get ready because he’s taking me junquing today! I used to go all the time because I had a booth at an antique mall and sold on ebay, but when I got too sick, I quit going. I can’t wait to find some treasures! lol

Nancy Parken April 27, 2018 at 8:46 AM

OH!! Book 1 before WELCOME TO THE DARK SIDE BOOK 2 is on sale for 99 cents. LESSONS IN CORRUPTION both by Giana Darling!

bev April 27, 2018 at 8:49 AM

It was a good day.

Cheryl, I’m glad she decided on a dress. What did she go for?

Maryse April 27, 2018 at 8:49 AM

Why is sleeping so hard the older we get??

Grrrr!! Insomnia is the DEVIL!

bev April 27, 2018 at 9:01 AM

Not true insomnia but woke up at 4.
Need caffeine this morning.

The worst is when you just can’t turn your thoughts off.

Tasha J April 27, 2018 at 9:04 AM

The Coincidence of Coconut Cake is on sale for 1.99. I read this one a while ago. The food and atmosphere drew me in more than the romance, not that it was terrible, and for that reason alone, I wish to visit Milwaukee. Lol

Nancy Parken April 27, 2018 at 9:06 AM

BAD INTENTIONS (Bad Love Book #2) by Charleigh Rose was an early release for just 99 cents. Can be read as a standalone and is Dare’s story! If you read BAD HABITS then you will definitely want this one.

Tasha J April 27, 2018 at 9:36 AM

Oh, Luckiest Girl Alive by Jessica Knoll is on sale for 4.99 too, I read this one also and liked it.

bev April 27, 2018 at 9:42 AM

It’s funny.
On GR talking about seeing each other in real life and what that’d be like.

But we all had those friends, right?
The one meeting people on the internet?
And you’d be all, ARE YOU NUTS?

And yet I could be all I’m going to Australia. I know people.

Tasha J April 27, 2018 at 10:05 AM

Happy belated birthday Bev!!

Leslie M April 27, 2018 at 11:00 AM

Tasha, I was just thinking about you. How’s our blog baby coming along?

Amy April 27, 2018 at 11:50 AM

I would have a blast meeting you all in real life. ;) Until you guys got tired of me and ditched me as if we were in high school. *snort*

Maybe in Another Life by TJR is 4.99, normally 11.99. Not a crazy low price but low enough it deserved to be mentioned, and MAN was it good!!

Jean April 27, 2018 at 1:54 PM

Happy Friday girls! Crazy busy week for me!

Hope you had a great birthday bev! Are you reading anything?

I just HAD to 1- click Unexpected Arrivals!

I’m in a bit of a slump since the amazing Transcend/Epoch duet. It’s been really hard to match them! But I’m sludging through my TBR and ARCs looking for another gem!

Teri April 27, 2018 at 2:47 PM

Well, I’m just happily one-clicking my little heart out! I love Friday Finds Day!! Weeeeeee…..!!!! (just swinging thru all the glitter)

Maryse April 27, 2018 at 3:15 PM

*swings in the glitter with Teri* :D !!!!

Leslie M April 27, 2018 at 4:20 PM

Jean, its almost like I wish some books were not so good because there is no recovering after! Hee hee

Kooloo April 27, 2018 at 4:58 PM

Yup. I’m definitely suffering from post-transcend book slump :(
Words on the page this past week just fail to captivate me —- even Audible is getting fed up with my DNF list AND every time I see my iPad I cring.

Oh woe is me…
—-from the pages of my real life problems

bev April 27, 2018 at 5:59 PM

I’m reading nothing.
At all.

But I’m in LOVE with My Ahjussi!!

If we were a high school right now who’d we each be?

Jean April 27, 2018 at 6:48 PM

Awww bev, hope you get your reading mojo back soon!

If someone finds that book that compares to Transcend series, please let us know asap!

Maryse April 27, 2018 at 6:52 PM

Welp. Lauren Gilley’s latest just went live. :)

bev April 27, 2018 at 8:00 PM

Thanks, I appreciate it.

Though I’m kind of enjoying my new drama kick.
Plus, found a whole bunch of fans. It’s fun to read recaps and comments and comment too. Sort of like when we’d buddy read.

bev April 27, 2018 at 8:15 PM

The Serpent King is on sale. It’s really good.
I read it back in the day, when I read.

Maryse April 27, 2018 at 9:10 PM

bev April 27, 2018 at 10:44 PM

Maryse….I NEED you to watch My Ahjussi.
Ok, it starts slow and it can be bleak, but damn can it be beautiful too. A heroine that is so sad, complex, and badass. Potentially a slow burn romance….or maybe it’s not. But it makes my heart flutter.
I read recaps of it and that writer was just lamenting how she wishes she was a better writer to be able to catch in words “it’s painful beauty” to quote her.

It will only be 16 eps , the whole story. Like 16 chapters of a book.

marina April 27, 2018 at 10:51 PM

Leslie M, of course I will not be mad at you. I can be picky too. But please give it a good try beyond the first 3 chapters to get into it. It evolves. I just now finished the entire series. And loved all 3! Loved all of the characters, the adventures, the witty writing, banter, hotness, sexiness, romance and they’re so damn funny and complex… and they’re quick reads. I’m sad I finished and truly feel like rereading Road-Tripped. I’m telling you these books are gems! Hope you all read them! :) xoxo

bev April 27, 2018 at 11:53 PM

Good night all.

Maryse too.

Jan April 28, 2018 at 2:06 AM

Ooh. Super excited to see another Lean Dogs book from Lauren Gilley, even if it is only part 1 :/ Fox’s book. Yaayyyyy! I’ve been waiting for this one! I just reread Tastes Like Candy too, and floved it all over again. I don’t know why I love these bad boys so much. Sigh……..

*runs to click on Prodigal Son Part 1*

I haven’t even read Part 1 yet, and I already can’t wait for the rest of it!!!!

Tasha J April 28, 2018 at 7:16 AM

Leslie, he’s great so far! Just 3 weeks to go, I’m sooo incredibly anxious for him to be here. I only have a couple small windows during the day where I have any energy to accomplish anything so I’ll be cleaning today. (Yay- sarcasm)

Tasha J April 28, 2018 at 7:18 AM

But first, I’m driving to a coffee shop 15 minutes away for a mocha and a scone and maybe even quiche!!! Lol, It’s the only thing that truly excites me. Yesterday I thought I’d gone to heaven over a banana mango smoothie, salad, and turkey bacon, avocado panini. *sigh* I want that again SO BAD!!!

Melinda April 28, 2018 at 7:44 AM

YAY BEV, YAY BEV, your coming to visit me. At least you know I can’t stalk you. And we are having a slumber party at ELA’s.
When are you coming to Australia.

bev April 28, 2018 at 7:49 AM

Tasha, then go eat it after your scone.
Hobbits and pregnant ladies get 2 breakfast… questions asked.

Melinda, I like that I’d fly to Australia first then go to Chicago for the sleep over. Lol.

Melinda April 28, 2018 at 7:50 AM

And Bev, Nay might come with you.

It took me over a week to get over Transcend. Nothing compares. Just loved that series.

Melinda April 28, 2018 at 7:53 AM

When, when? I need plenty of time to get holls from work. I don’t like the cold so not winter. It doesn’t get as cold here like you do there. Summer time. Your summer time.

Tasha J April 28, 2018 at 7:54 AM

No way! I get so embarrassed going to all these places for my fixes repeatedly. My mom lives closer, but she’s outta town. I was gonna have her grab it, so they wouldn’t know. Lol

bev April 28, 2018 at 7:56 AM

Ok. Nay will meet me in Oregon and then we will go see Tasha and the baby. Then we go see you and Jan in Australia then to Chicago for a sleep over.

I always wanted to be a jet setter.

Melinda April 28, 2018 at 8:08 AM

Sounds great. We better let Ela know about the sleep over. I think she’s organising some tents.

And Ela loves hugs, so I’m set as I’m a big hugger too. Bev, you ok with that?

Tasha J April 28, 2018 at 8:10 AM

I’m closer to Chicago than Australia, I think you should finish there. ;)

bev April 28, 2018 at 8:15 AM

Not ok.

Tasha i don’t think this trip is about making sense, lol.

Now Ela needs to crunch the numbers and I don’t know about Nay but I probably need to figure out how to make my $ into $$$. Oh that eternal problem.

MichelleS April 28, 2018 at 10:48 AM

Bev – you need to add a stop in Texas to your trip. We can go do a drive by at Fabi’s place & see what’s up with her.

Leslie M April 28, 2018 at 10:54 AM

Tasha, I love that you have all these cravings.

I so wish we could all travel to each other. But since I barely survived Boston to Los Angeles flight, there is no way I’d make it to Australia. :(

Marina, I tried to love Road Tripped….I REALLY tried. But I have super hard time with 3rd person POV.

Tasha J April 28, 2018 at 11:40 AM

I don’t love all these cravings. I mean, I DO love me some smoothies *dreamy sigh*, but it’s sh*t on my bank account. I suppose I could do my own, but that’s more work + more dishes and who wants that?! He made me eat a half package of Oreos in the middle of the night a couple days ago, CRUEL I tell you!!
How about The Broken Girls Leslie? It’s different and spooky and stuff. Might just get you back into reading. ;) Are you into audiobooks? I just downloaded and got Tangerine by Christine Mangan for FREE today. They also have Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor for FREE today only, but I already have that one.

Kooloo April 28, 2018 at 11:42 AM

You guys there is an amazing new kind of PRN movie called the Wilding that’s out! Watching it right now but had tell everyone to watch!

Kooloo April 28, 2018 at 11:58 AM

K just finished it was 5 star baby!
At least it’s something – not a book but great story…
Gahhh books slumps suck butts

In other news I found a new obsession with my shopping at Etsy
Naynay check this designer out!

Tasha J April 28, 2018 at 11:58 AM

Oh, that looks GOOD Kooloo! I’m gonna see if it’s available to rent here! :D

Tasha J April 28, 2018 at 12:00 PM

It is! I’m totally watching that tonight. Thanks!

marina April 28, 2018 at 12:22 PM

Hi Leslie M, didn’t realize you tried. Yes, it’s in 3rd person and that perspective is odd I agree. Sorry it didn’t work for you!!

bev April 28, 2018 at 12:33 PM

MichelleS we should. I ‘ve always wanted to see Texas and Fabi.

He is just taking care of you Tasha. Smart boy already knows the importance of cookies.

Cheryl April 28, 2018 at 4:43 PM

Bev, she decided on a pink strapless that had a sheer floral fabric over it. Classy and sweet. Floral seemed to be popular this year. Best part was the shoes. SHINY silver metallic. *Beautiful* Spent the night at her friends and then they all got up for 9AM Marvel Infinity War movie. ;)

bev April 28, 2018 at 6:53 PM

It sounds beautiful Cheryl. I noticed the florals when I was at the mall not long ago. Very pretty.

Melinda April 28, 2018 at 7:05 PM

We’ve got another formal in a month. The damn kids cost you a fortune.
So far I have paid for 3 debs and 6 formals with one to go. I do t even want to think how much i’ve Paid. Girls are expensive. It’s the nails and the hair and the fake tan,the makeup and the dress the shoes the jewellery, the limo, the formal itself, the after party, the photographer.

Next year I will come to Texas then to Chicago, then I’m going to visit Leslie. Then I can see Robin, Nay, Michelle, Ela, Leslie. Kooloo can come to visit as well. Sorry I don’t know where anyone else lives to visit. But if you let me know. I,I’ll visit. I’m coming to LA in June and New Orleans. Can’t wait. Yells screaming with excitement around the house.

Grey April 28, 2018 at 7:06 PM

I just got home a bit ago from taking my passel of children to see the new Marvel movie. No spoilers because I hate that crap… but wowsa. Spring break is over. I haven’t slept in at all… I’ve not accomplished much. Boo.

Jan April 28, 2018 at 7:36 PM

Cheryl your daughter must have looked so lovely. But eeeepp Melinda. All that stuff and expenses. Ouch! I always wanted a daughter, but I have to say that the suit hire for my sons’ special nights was a lot simpler (and no doubt cheaper!) They did look great in those suits, though.

Wish I was going to the states too. Not sure when I’ll ever get there. I think Europe is next on the agenda for me. 2019 maybe? I’d better start saving those pennies.

Tasha good to hear you are feeling well and you must be starting to get SO EXCITED now you’re so close!

OK, back to reading my new Lauren Gilley :D Actually, it’s only Part 1 and I’ve nearly finished already. *cries*

bev April 28, 2018 at 9:00 PM

So….Jean. You like Marvel movies?

Has anyone seen Black Panther?

Jan, I’m tagging along ok? We will take a grand tour. Hopefully be caught in compromising positions , held up by bandits, and buy trunks of hand made clothes by a French seamstress.

Kooloo April 29, 2018 at 12:36 AM

bev babe Black Panther wasn’t as actioneee or sarcastic as I prefer but still enjoyed it – I’m def’ more of a Deadpool lover type (PLUS Ryan Reynolds is CANADIAN – whoo whoo)…

OH OH OH guess what peeps yup yup THE P4M CHALLENGE is now up!!!
*see I told you I would get it done tonight ;)

REALLY NEED THIS CHANGE to kick my @ss out of this slump

Jan April 29, 2018 at 1:47 AM

Hahaha bev, Let’s do it :D

Tasha J April 29, 2018 at 7:17 AM

I suppose I’m the odd one out. I can’t stand all these marvel movies or dc? Comics I think it is. It seems that’s all that’s ever out in theaters anymore. Occasionally a horror or kids film, but otherwise some comic.

Maryse April 29, 2018 at 9:07 AM

I actually have NEVER been into the Marvel stuff and never have an interest in seeing the super-hero movies, but each time I do watch one (and I’ve pretty much watched them all by now), I end up LOVING it. Like CRAZY loving it.

Isn’t that weird? Yet each time a new one comes out I’m all… meh. I’ll watch it if I have to (yet knowing I’ll probably love it).

I had a HUGE crush on the actor that played Peter Parker (and I mean HUGE). I was on love with Spider Man once. LOL!!!! I’m kind of in love with Iron Man too. *snort*

bev April 29, 2018 at 10:50 AM

Tobey Maguire?

Leslie M April 29, 2018 at 11:10 AM

I like Marvel movies!!! :)

I only got into them because its not like hubs & son want to watch rom coms. But I find I enjoy them now. I havent seen Black Panther yet but looking forward to it and latest Avengers. I pretty much have a crush on ALL the hunky superheroes. ;)

I dont like the DC movies as much but I did enjoy Wonder Woman & Justice League. (Some hunky men in that too)

Amy April 29, 2018 at 11:10 AM

Jason Mamoa…even as Aquaman he is hot as hell.

Leslie M April 29, 2018 at 11:11 AM

Amy…I know!!! Hubba hubba

Jean April 29, 2018 at 11:22 AM

I haven’t seen Black Panther, but definitely want to see it. I love all the Marvel Superheros and even Loki (the evil brother of Thor)!

I did see Wonder Woman and need to watch Justice League simply for Jason!! But I do prefer Marvel over DC….probably my husband’s influence…..

So, anyone reading something good?

Amy April 29, 2018 at 11:23 AM
Amy April 29, 2018 at 11:26 AM

Jean, I really liked Wonder Woman and the bittersweet ending. *sigh*

I’m reading When We Were Worthy, and so far I’m loving it. There are 4 POVs (but it works) with a lot going on, and it is just what I needed to recover from my Transcend book hangover. ;)

Tessa April 29, 2018 at 11:33 AM

The DC movies were plagued with bad directors until Wonder Woman. Hopefully now they’ll be good.

For me, it depends on the movie if I like a Marvel or not. There are just some comics I never liked and some I adore. I adore X-men. My favorite superhero ever s Rogue. :) Yet, I can’t make myself see Antman. I hated that comic when I was younger, so there is no desire to see the movie. I finally saw The Avengers about a month ago, but that delay had nothing to do with not liking the characters, but more bad timing.

bev April 29, 2018 at 11:53 AM

I swear Lisa Bonet does not look like she ages

MichelleS April 29, 2018 at 12:10 PM

I love the X-Men movie series, Wolverine films, like the Spider-Man films, liked Wonderwoman, looking forward to Aquaman (JM hubba hubba), liked Thor films. Never got into Avengers. Haven’t seen Black Panther.

I’m reading book two in Jack & Jill series. Loving it!

MichelleS April 29, 2018 at 12:13 PM

I especially like the Xmen movies that went back in time – young Professor, Magneto & Rogue. Awesome!

Cheryl April 29, 2018 at 3:31 PM

My family loves the Marvel movies and most of the Marvel tv series; Iron Fist sucked big time!!

bev April 29, 2018 at 4:03 PM

Is it weird that I always kind of shipped Wolverine and Rogue?

Amy April 29, 2018 at 4:09 PM

James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender (LOVE watching that man act *swoon*) were great as a young Professor X and Magneto were perfect,

Amy April 29, 2018 at 4:10 PM

Who’s up for three things?

1. I just made a tuna melt on a slice of tomato instead of bread. YUM.

2. I want some coconut cake. Badly.

3. Getting ghosted by someone hurts. A lot.

bev April 29, 2018 at 4:29 PM

1. All this talk of travel makes me want to finally just do it. Spring break? Christmas break? Stop delaying.

2. I really really really want Maryse to watch My Ahjussi cause I just am obsessed with it.

3. I’m sorry Amy. Hopefully, if you want it, you will be able to reconnect soon.

Tasha J April 29, 2018 at 4:41 PM

1. I’ve been slaving in the kitchen all day and it’s put me in a mood.

2. I made beef Bourguignon over spiral noodles and gravy (1st time ever! For both) and it’s ah-maz-ing. I also am drinking a glass of sparkling Rosè juice to make me feel fancy. Lol

3. There’s been a foot in the same spot in my ribs this whole day. I don’t think he wants me to cook anymore than I want to. Usually he stays away from my ribs.

Jean April 29, 2018 at 5:20 PM

1. I’m watching Guardians of the Galaxy (probably for the 5th or 6th time).

2. Feeling crampy and tired and lazy.

3. Just started Dark Matter and holy crap, it’s a pageturner! I am loving it so far! Don’t want to put it down!

Tessa April 29, 2018 at 5:34 PM

Bev, I can see why, but for me, Rogue and Wolverine have always had more of an older brother, little sister type of relationship. I don’t ship them at all, but I still love how they are together.

1. I’ve been eating carrots like crazy. I’m on a diet and carrots are fun to munch on while not much in calories. :)

2. My computer desk is a mess so I’m slowly cleaning stuff off. Why do I have my makeup on a computer desk? I don’t know either.

3. Speaking of computers, I got a laptop cooler and OMG, it’s awesome. I love GW2 but it would sometimes just make the thing get hot and I’d have to turn on the really loud backup fan (it’s a gamer’s computer, so of course, back up fans are needed). Now, no backup fan needed since it stays nice and cool! YEAH!

Cheryl April 29, 2018 at 6:37 PM

1. Jean I was watching Guardians too!

2. Tired after LONG week of family visiting and culminating in Prom night.

3. Just read Maryse’s review of Birthday Girl. I’m on the fence about reading it. I did read the other Birthday Girl by Lily Kate- enjoyed it- lighthearted, funny read. :)

Karen Cimms April 29, 2018 at 7:58 PM

Six Feet Under by Whitney Barbetti is amazing. It’s dark and beautiful, and gives an incredible insight to addiction and mental illness, all wrapped in a stunning tale of unconditional love. I am chomping at the bit for part two. This book is my favorite read of 2018.

Jan April 29, 2018 at 10:58 PM

1. Just started a new sci-fi book in a fav series – The ‘Hutch’ series by Jack McDevitt. It’s called The Long Sunset and has lots of great reviews. It’s not a romance though, so don’t go one-clickin’ that thang unless you like sci-fi adventure which is romance-free LOL.
2. Been out shopping and ran into my sister-in-law down the street. One of the nice things about living in a regional town rather than a big city is that you’re always running into someone you know.
3. Got choir practice tonight. We’re rehearsing for a really fun concert called Singing The Sixties. Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, Elvis, The Seekers (Australian 60s group) etc etc, also film and TV themes. Anyone remember the beautiful Lara’s Theme from Dr Zhivago? Lovely.

Grey April 30, 2018 at 5:34 AM

So glad I’ve gotten to know you.

Maryse April 30, 2018 at 8:10 AM

You guys I need SO much coffee. I can’t shake this sleepy-Monday morning fog. Can I blame it on the pretty pink full moon?

Jean April 30, 2018 at 8:31 AM

Happy birthday Nay!!

I was away for the weekend and when I got home, my signed books from Jewel E. Ann were waiting for me in my mail! Squuueeeeeee!!!! I was so excited! I was hugging and holding them like two babies in my arms! There’s even a seal on the first page “From the library of Jewel E. Ann”. Love!!!! Thank you Jewel and Maryse!!!!

Tessa April 30, 2018 at 9:06 AM

Happy birthday, Nay! *spins and tosses up coffee and creamer* Have a fun day today. :)

Maryse April 30, 2018 at 6:57 PM
