Happy Friday!!! Another Friday Finds loaded in reader recommendations that are tried and true (and a few that just went live, too).
Plus, I’ve got a review coming up next (Emma Scott’s latest that I LOVED), an awesome author news roundup, and I’m finishing a darn good (so far, anyway) psych thriller from this month’s Kindle First choices. 🙂
If you’re still on the fence about what to read next…
TAKE A LOOK AT WHAT WE FOUND FOR THE WEEKEND !!
Behind the Bars (Music Street Series) by Brittainy C. Cherry <— RECENT RELEASE & THE 5-STAR, STAR OF THE SHOW TODAY!!!! A few members of our book-crew have delved in and are losing their minds for this one!
Leslie M: …if you are looking for an emotional read that is music themed, Behind the Bars by Brittainy Cherry was gutt wrenchingly fabulous! Ok, I know what you all are thinking. “Oh, Leslie rec’d Behind the Bars…must be an easy-breezy read.” It is not! In fact when you read it, you will scratch your head and think “Leslie liked this tear-jerker???”
Its def not my typical book, it was very difficult to read, super emotional but I LOVED EVERY SINGLE WORD. I fell HARD for Elliot. I loved the h too and so many of the characters. Her step dad, Elliots mom, sis and uncle. Gah!!! I am getting emotional just thinking about it. It was a beautiful story and will go down as an all time fave for me.
Jean: LESLIE!!!!! YOU WERE SO RIGHT ABOUT BEHIND THE BARS!!!! YES, I’M SCREAMING!! YOU GUYS HAVE TO READ IT…..JUST SIMPLY AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! …Amazing! You MUST read this book! It’s heartwrenching and beautiful and gah!!!! Just read it! Seriously!
Leslie: Ok, so Jean is gushing to me about how much she loved Behind the Bars and instead of squeeing what do I do? Bawl! Yup, cried like a baby remembering the emotions of that beautifully heartbreaking story. Jeesh! I need to get a grip. And yes, everyone who likes the tearjerkers needs to read it.
Melinda: I read Leslie’s recommendation and it was awesome so do yourself a favour and read “ Behind the Bars (music street series)”by Brittany Cherry. But it might make you cry. Right Leslie? And it’s a bully book, but the writing is soooo good. A very emotional read. I LOVED IT. 5 whooping big stars.
Hail Mary (Hail Raisers Book 6) by Lani Lynn Vale <— LIVE!!! LANI LYNN VALE ALERT!! HE DOESN’T WANT THIS CHILD… “What can make life worse after losing one’s wife and kids, you ask? Here’s what: being given a baby that depends on him for her survival. Finding out that the baby’s mother is dying of brain cancer, and has a husband that he never knew about. A husband that Dante knows in the marrow of his bones is trying to kill her just as surely as the cancer eating her brain. Dante’s a bad person. He’s done some not so nice things, and now he’s being punished for his misdeeds. Karma is finally catching up to him. This child that he’s been stuck with is of his flesh and bone…”
Midnight Valentine J.T. Geissinger <— RECLUSE ALERT!!! Recent release and Randi is loving it!!!
Randi: Maryse you have to add this book to the Hermit/ Recluse List. Only 1/4 of the way in and wow!!!! Loving this book. It’s a must read with great writing.
- Reach for the Stars: A feel good, uplifting romantic comedy by Kathy Jay <— LIVE!! THERE’S A NAKED STAR ON HER COUCH!! “When Layla Rivers’ boyfriend of 12 years skips out on their round-the-world trip of a lifetime – without her – she does what experience has taught her to do best, hide away in the cosy Cornish village she calls home. But any hopes of laying low soon disappear when Hollywood’s hottest star & mutual acquaintance, the gorgeous Nick Wells, crash lands on her couch…naked!“
Hostage by Skye Warren & Annika Martin <— SKYE WARREN DARK READ BEST SELLER!!! It’s a recent release and IT MADE THE USA TODAY BEST SELLER LIST!
Linda: Just started Hostage last night and only 10% (started way to late) in but I’m hooked!!
- Ruined: A Contemporary Bad Boy Romance by Lisa Lace <— LIVE!! HE WANTS HER COMPANY… “…Now the crown prince of the Donavan Dynasty wants my company. He intends to rip it out of the fingers. In the middle of heated negotiations, he changes tactics. Edward promises something I’ve never known. It’s the one thing that has always eluded me. He says he can satisfy the hunger. He’s the only one who can take me there...”
Darker Water (Once and Forever Book 1) by Lauren Stewart <— LAUREN STEWART SUPER-HIT (w/ a new cover) ON SUPER-BARGAIN SALE & THE SEQUEL (Deeper Water (Once and Forever Book 3) is coming in just a few days!!!! :D!!!!
bev: Darker Water had that great quick witted banter, love that. Wish more books had dialogue like that.
Anne: Just finished Darker Waters and loved it! The banter and chemistry between Carson and Laney was off the charts! 4.5/5
Lisa: Darker Water by Lauren Stewart (loooved this one).
- Elite (Eagle Elite Book 1) by Rachel Van Dyken <— RACHEL VAN DYKEN BULLY BOOK SUPER-BARGAIN!!!
Tessa: Buy Elite! Anyone who can suspend reality for a bit, but loves bully type books, get Elite. 🙂 …Eagle Elite series… *swoon* If you can suspend belief, Elite becomes an awesome book. The rest don’t need the suspended belief thing, but are really good.
Anna: Tessa- When I told my bookclub about Eagle Elite I warned them not to expect it to make any sense. Don’t question it just go with it. I think the series works for me because it reminds me of several different anime series.
Dangerous Girls by Abigail Haas <— PSYCH THRILLER THAT I LOVED!!! And now Ela loved it too! P.S. Here’s my 5-star review.
Ela: YOU GUYS MUST MUST MUST READ DANGEROUS GIRLS BY ABIGAIL HAAS IF YOU LIKE THRILLER/MYSTERIES!!!!!!!!!!! THIS ONE COMES FROM ONE OF OUR MONTHLY ALL TIME FAVORITES OFF OF GREY’S LIST!
- Her First Kiss: Londons story (Firsts series Book 1) by M.J. Fields <— Tessa is loving it!
Tessa: I’m almost done with Her First Kiss by MJ Fields. It’s awesome. I’m loving every page of it. Friends since kids (8 and 12), he’s absolutely psycho about keeping her protected all their life. Also, I REALLY want to read the earlier books about the parents and probably stepbrother.
Next Year in Havana by Chanel Cleeton <— RECENT RELEASE THAT TASHA FOUUND!!! Tasha is my other newly-discovered book-twin!! 😉 “…Arriving in Havana, Marisol comes face-to-face with the contrast of Cuba’s tropical, timeless beauty and its perilous political climate. When more family history comes to light and Marisol finds herself attracted to a man with secrets of his own, she’ll need the lessons of her grandmother’s past to help her understand the true meaning of courage.“
Tasha: …think this will be like my “Valentine’s day” read.
- MONSTERS <— LIVE!!! PSYCH THRILLER ALERT!! “...I saw their bloodied faces. They were no longer the boys from next door. As quick as the storm rolled over the neighborhood, a crime of passion was committed, Lucas and Mason Carter dangerously altering the course of all our lives. Ten years later, on my twenty-sixth birthday, when detectives come digging for information on a cold case, I find myself once again unwillingly tangled in the spider’s web. I hold information on a heinous crime. I have become the number one target. More specific, I have become Mason Carter’s obsession…”
Still Me: A Novel by Jojo Moyes <— JOJO MOYES RECENT RELEASE FEEDBACK!!!!
Northernstar: I just finished Still Me by Jojo Moyes, the conclusion to the me before you series. The second book left me unsatisfied and I was chopping at the bit to get to this one. It did not disappoint. This book continues with the self discovery of Louisa Clark as she moves to New York City. I loved the characters in the book – my favoirite was Dean Martin. Although I would have liked an epilogue it was a wonderful read.
- Blister by Jeff Strand <— AMY’S COMEDY HORROR PICK!!! It’s super-bargain priced today and I won’t even hightlight the cover ’cause it’s too creepy-gross. 😉
Amy: give Blister a try! It was SO out of the norm for me, and it was not at all what I expected. Fabi’s “humour noir” label is perfect for it. I was cracking up as often as I was cringing. I thought it was great!
Cheryl: Enjoyed the story, although it wasn’t what I was expecting. Not sure why it was described as scary/horror. I may have been scared for them, but not scared by the story. AND the ending; I wanted more.
Amy: …Not a scary read, more of a creepy one but also with some dark humor. Y’all remember that one? I snorted out loud a few times and that doesn’t happen often while I’m reading. So, Maryse…Blister…
Tasha: I just read the sample for Blister. It’ll be next after my library read, as long as no more come in first. The kids were so cruel in the beginning, and I read this in a public place, but his lesson to teach them to stop had me biting my cheeks to keep from laughing out loud. Lol
Amy: …It might just be the (dark) comic relief you need
The Hot Shot by Kristen Callihan <— SUPER-BARGAIN!!!
Teri: I just finished The Hot Shot by Kristen Callihan and it is FANTASTIC! Whoop whoop
- Almost Forever by <— LIVE!! HE’S IN A COMA ON HIS WEDDING DAY... “When a vicious attack leaves Paul in a coma on his wedding day, the doctors fear he will never wake up. But his fiancée Fran will never give up hope…”
Poets Pass (Coal Country Series Book 3) by Hillary DeVisser <— LIVE!!! THE PSYCHIATRIST & THE COP… “…Avery’s home in the country is her sanctuary, her escape from the emotional overload of her job. Her sense of peace is destroyed, beginning with the appearance of muddy boot prints outside her window. Recently divorced, Officer Jake Marcovic needs a change of scenery. He leaves Chicago and his manipulative ex-wife behind for family and a much slower pace of living. Relocating back to his rural roots…”
- Lovestruck (The Donovans) by Nana Malone <— LIVE!!! SHE’S JUST TRYING TO SURVIVE… “…Malia Adams had a complicated life. Well, actually it was pretty simple. Survive. Stay off the streets by any means necessary. And that was a nightly struggle. She didn’t have time to get involved with anyone. Especially not the one person she can’t have…”

I love Friday book day!!! It’s almost as good as Tuesday – maybe even better because you really get the feels for the books!
I have been devouring the Jack and Jill series by Jewel E Ann. It’s everthing you could ask for. The story is not at all boring. The characters and quirky but not over the top (maybe Jill/Jessica – but that’s why I love her). There are three male stories and they are perfectly intertwined. There’s angst and cliffhangers and you don’t know who to root for. Please, someone else read this series too! Full disclosure, I’m halfway into book 2 – there are 3. I would give it a solid 5 stars!
Oh yeah – happy Friday!
Good morning! Happy Friday!!
Happy Friday ladies!!!!
I’m with you, Sharon…Friday book day is SO fun with all the deals and feels. 😉
Since Kindle First was mentioned up there, I have to say Neighborly by Ellie Monago was my choice this month. The blurb had me intrigued, and the “from the editor” note had me cringing (why would the h DO that?!?) and then freaking out a little bit. I HAVE to get to this one soon!
Totally agree Sharon!!! Jack and Jill series is outstanding. Read ALL in 2017. Jewel E. Ann never disappoints.
Thanks once again Maryse for your blog. Love Tuesdays but Fridays list are always less overwhelming!! Lol. I feel a little calmer browsing through while sipping my coffee.
Just started Hostage last night and only 10% (started way to late) in but I’m hooked!!
Trying a new trendy restaurant tonight with hubby, son and his fiancee!! So excited!! I know lame right!!?? Required reservations and everything!!! I swear the older I get it’s the small pleasures, like a wonderful read that makes me the happiest. Have a great weekend guys!! Xoxo
Sharon, we did a buddy read of Jack & Jill series a while back and several of the “crew” loved it!
Happy Friday everyone! Not sure what I feel like reading this weekend. I finished Bittersweet by Sarina Bowen last night – 4****. I loved the Vermont/farm setting and narration was great.
I haven’t been in mood to read only listen, so I am limited to audiobooks available on Hoopla. Not sure why I don’t feel like reading…lazy I guess.
Anyway…anyone who reads Behind the Bars must give me constant updates m’kay???
Oooh, forgot to mention my beautiful, signed copy of Waiting for the Sun came yesterday! *happy dance* It’s the ONLY hard copy book I own and it’s proudly on display in my living room. 🙂
Linda, I am glad I am not the only one who gets anxiety over all the book lists! (That’s why I call Maryse the “evil book temptress”) I swear I breathe sigh of relief when I see ones in genres/tropes I don’t like as its one less to add to TBR!!
*breathes* OK, I’m going to be breathing this weekend. So excited. Finished In Harmony, starting Gods & Monsters… Only one last basketball game and a set building for my daughter’s musical… That’s it… I can just.. Be. Lazy!!! *tosses all of the glitter*
I just checked and Grey has never read Elite. 0.0 HOW DID I MISS THAT??? It’s one of my re-read joys!
Alright all you readers in a rut, and not in a rut…I’m completely hooked on this web series right now, I’m on Chapter 10- have to go make my mid-morning breakfast and then I’m jumping back in. Who wants to join?!? https://m.webtoons.com/en/romance/assassin-roommate/chapter-1/viewer?title_no=1050&episode_no=1
Soooo many great looking books I’ll have to check out
Tasha, that looks cool!
Grey, I can’t wait til In Harmony is released, looks like a good one. I am up for BR next week if anyone wants to join me.
I decided to start The Vixen and the Vet. So far I am intriqued but afraid it’s going to hurt.
It’s kind of like a comic, and I really hate comics, I can never follow them, but I’m totally addicted. Even when it gets a little corny and predictable. lol I’m on season 2 now, it’s reminding me of Tiffany Snow’s books.
Tasha, it just looks cute & different. Do you have to pay for it?
No, I haven’t come across anything to pay for yet for this series. I came across it on Rachel Schneider’s fb page and she posted something about pledges and a link (that I don’t actually understand, so for now I’ll just be keeping up on what I can with this series for free). It looks like she releases more episodes weekly, I’ll have to see if I can follow her somewhere to find out more. Here’s the link Rachel posted: https://www.patreon.com/MonicaGallagher
So far I think I’m team Jason 😀
Gah!! It ended on a cliffhanger. Looks like she adds a new episode every Tuesday, another thing to look forward to on Tuesdays!
Maryse, I swore you read The Vixen and the Vet and others by Katy Regnery but I can’t find your reviews. Maybe I am not looking in right place?? (I went to “my book reviews”) Or maybe I am losing it and you haven’t read any. 😉
I haven’t, Leslie. I only read Unloved.
This weekend I will be backtracking and adding all my latest reviews to that list, so it will be up to date soon. 🙂
No pressure at all Maryse…I was just curious. I had thought I remembered you recently discussing Unloved and others by Katy Regnery. The Vixen and the Vet is a recluse H, so it sounded like your cup of tea. 🙂
I loved Vixen and the Vet Leslie!
I always look forward to Friday’s list too…
Took Grey’s advice (and Ela’s generous hookup) and am reading Dangerous Girls!! Ugh, can’t wait to get to it after work so I can finish it!!! It’s really great so far! I love the writing style and going back and forth from past to present and the interview and the trial!!!!!
Krista pops by with a quick wave
I’ve been reading a Bentley by Melanie Moreland and I am loving it. Tasha that web series looks so fun! I’m totally checking it out.
*waves at Krista*
Leslie, I’m almost convinced to try Behind The Bars. *tremblingly reaches out finger to click sample of angsty book*
Reach for The Stars could be more my speed. Hey, it’s in Cornwall. Nice.
Happy Friday!! Have to go shopping tomorrow for a new dishwasher, but otherwise don’t have anything scheduled to do. Yeh!!
I like fridays list because I usually have more time over the weekend to read.
*waves to Krista* 😀
OOH!! I remember Dangerous Girls! That was a GREAT 5-star read.
I keep seeing people say read this article.
And seriously read it.
Fun interview.
Really got me through a crowded commute.
https://www.vulture.com/2018/02/quincy-jones-in-conversation.html

Right. I love how he just said it like it is. Nah, music today sucks. lol Same four beats. *snickers* Hate the Beetles music. Though, some of the stuff was like, dude! What you said… dude!
Though, favorite quote:
What was your greatest musical innovation?
Everything I’ve done.
*grins*
I am and will always be a complete Beatles Stan
But, yeah, have to respect someone who knows their worth and has done the work to back it up.
Just finished book 9 of the Joe Ledger series and I’m so depressed, disillusioned, dismayed, distracted, I need to grieve in my own way….
Which is distraction!
So if anyone is interested why do we post our fav tv commercials
Or music videos Or somethin’ somethin’
I’ll go first I just have to find it lol *runs over to uTube*

I spent 45 minutes making a cup on Etsy earlier… not even sure if the seller can personalize it now. FML.

MEN

My vote would be the floor.
And has about three different floor panels.
My daughter thinks they did it like the baseball scene in Twilight where they had a “carpet” that the actors were on that moved really fast. Then the couches and chairs were pulled separately, ? string.
yup all good thoughts
same ones I had
but then the furniture would stay when the floor would move but then all of a sudden it would move in a different direction than the floor – so then the floor could Not be moving –
RIGHT?
I got everyone at work thinking on it lol
from pharmacists to the doctors from the attached clinic, the pharmacy techs, the cashiers and even some patients!!!
That song played on repeat all day long as we passed around my ipad and got everyone’s guesses!
Yes ok it was a wee bit uprofessional BUT everyone had fun that day and I still some of the techs talking about to new hires that missed out on the fun….
Ahhhhh good time
Kooloo, my awesome socks came from a store here called Newbury Comics. But if you do search for “f@ck off I’m reading socks” you might get some hits.
But couldn’t the furniture have been hooked to the wall and then released?
CHERYL YOU WIN!!!!!!
Explaining Jamiroquai’s ”Virtual Insanity” video
https://youtu.be/MzwY7ii582Y
ARTICLE
”Virtual Insanity,” the vertigo-inducing video from U.K. pop-soul band Jamiroquai, achieves its eye-catching look through a technique that’s so simple you can almost do it at HOME.
An acid casualty’s worst nightmare, the video has started a head-scratching epidemic among puzzled viewers who can’t help but mutter, ”How’d they do that?”
Director Jonathan Glazer (Blur’s ”Universal”), who recently won the Music Video Producers Association’s Music Video of the Year award for ”Virtual Insanity,” chuckles as he reveals that there was nothing ”virtual” about his methods.
”No computer trickery was used,” he says. ”What we did was put the whole set on wheels and attach the camera to one wall. The furniture also had little wheels, and we had guys moving the set and the furniture [outside of the frame]. The floor never moved. It was like a magician’s trick.”
Kay confesses to having become ”a bit dizzy” during the carefully choreographed shoot but says he is more than pleased with the results.
San Fran update! Eeep! We’re in a restaurant next to the venue and we just met one of the bands opening for LP! I’m all giddy!!
Whhhoooohhhoooo
Hey guys GUYS *crickets*
Robin just touched some famous dude’s butt!!!!
lol Congratulations Robin. Um… I think with the butt touching?
Not yet but the night is young!!
Have fun, Robin! I didn’t realize you were in San Francisco! *facepalm*
Leslie! You are ace. I love those socks and if it costs me 50bucks for postage to Australia so be it. And ever time the girls interrupt me when I’m trying to read. I’m going to lift my legs in the air and show them my socks.
Works the same as your finger. Haha
But I am reading the best book someone rec on GR and have to tell you.
IT IS FANTASTIC!!!
The writing is fantastic. If you like angst this is the book. This is a poem from Live Me ( pieces of broken book 1)
Flash
He points a camera at me, and I swear he sees my soul.
Flash. Flash.
I wasn’t ready for that one, and I scramble to cover up.
Flash. Flash. Flash.
Pieces of me, captured for him. Images that he can hold.
Try as I might to deflect, he pushes further.
I’m anxious to hide, trying to find cover,
But he peels my layers back one by one.
I keep thinking it won’t feel good.
That I’ii feel exposed and naked.
Bared to him.
But the more he reveals, the deeper he goes
The further he pushes, the more he sees me,
The more comforted I become.
Flash. Flash.
With every bright light, he comes more into focus.
Each click stabs at my heart, trying to break through.
Each click reveals another piece of my soul.
Another inch of me
For him
Flash.
Wow, just wow and I’m only 48% just need those socks. LESLIE. Haha
The author forgot the author. Celeste Grande
Melinda, glad you like the socks. I was so excited to get them! That book (Live Me) sounds great!! I may read it once book 2 out (looks like its due out soon).
I don’t like graphic novels at all but I am enjoying Tasha’s rec of Assassin’s Roommate. It IS very Tiffany Snow-ish. 😉
Yay Robin to fun San Fran trip and butt touching!
Still liking Vixen and the Vet and am totally in love with Asher.
Ok, I am going to make a short tbr list. I always fail at them, but what the he’ll.
1. Finish Jason Thorne.
2. What the Librarian Did. These are my Jan tbr Challenge books.
3. Dangerous Madness for a different challenge I have already spectacularly failed at.
4.No Limits
5. Famous in Love. These for Feb challenge.
I kind of want to throw in Midnight Blue. I’m watching a show with a cold jerky hero and I’m totally into it. Thinking it might fit and it uses my KU.
I survived! And we were super close to the stage and LP took my phone from me while I was recording and spun around with it!. *dies*
Glad you’re liking it Leslie, have you picked a fave guy for her yet?
I’m watching IT today for the 1st time. I’ve never seen the old version either…
Bev – I loved Midnight Blue. Had that old “Rock Star Romance” feel. Total jerk face H and a likable h.
Anyone have The True Story of Atticus and Hazel on their TBR? Well, you’re going to want to READ IT NOW. But don’t read reviews or spoilers first. Just…trust me on this. I was hooked by the blurb alone and didn’t read any reviews. There is no crazy twist, no *gasp* moment, but it is one of those where you need to go in without expectations or preconceived notions and just experience everything as it happens. There is angst but nothing over the top, just real life stuff most of us can understand, and I wouldn’t say miscommunication but rather the h reacting to things in a realistic way for her age (21) and her history. Even the reactions from his imperfectly perfect family were understandable if not difficult to digest at one point.
Then the Olympic figure skating is on in the background and a pair are skating to Mariah Carey’s My All and it was beautiful and heartbreaking and I haven’t heard that song in YEARS and I just lost my sh!t. I’ll forever link that song with this book.
Yes, I’m gushing but it’s hard not to when you stay up until 2:00 in the morning and then can’t sleep because your nose is stuffed up from crying. And sobbing. Out. Loud.
No, neither the h nor H die. Just putting that out there even though I try NEVER to do so because spoilers and all. THAT is how much I want someone…anyone…to experience this book with me. Their pain and struggle is so raw and real that I blew snot bubbles. Gross, I know, but whatever. Sometimes life is gross.
This sums things up SO DAMN WELL…
“Our history is, well, it’s difficult,” I said.
Keitel’s needle stilled and both boys looked at me. “You don’t strike me as the drama type,” Keitel said. “Either of you.”
“It wasn’t the kind of drama you create, per se, it was the kind that finds and slams you to the ground unapologetically.”
Oh, my poor broken-yet-healing heart.
“Hazel, what happened?”
So much. Oh, so much.
I haven’t been on GR in a while but I’m posting this there as well. That’s how much I loved it.
And THANK YOU for all of the links you guys posted up there. They were my saving grace after finishing Atticus and Hazel and gave me the comic relief and distraction I needed right then. 😉
I love that Amy’s idea of spoilers for a book she LOVES is whether they die or not.
LOLOL
Ok, MichelleS. I’ll keep it on.
Yes, bev, my darling snarky friend, I HAVE to disclose if it’s a death book or not because YOU, sweet pea, will scare potential readers off by saying it is PROBABLY a death book.
But I wouldn’t want you to be any other way. 😆
By the way, bev…you know at some point you WILL have to meet up with me in Oregon one of the times I am down there, right?
Start preparing yourself for it now. *giggle*
BEV BEV how can you not love Jason Thorn. I devoured that book loved every page. You need to finish it. It’s fantastic
Amy Jean would be seriously hurt if you visited me first. And we can’t hurt Jean.
Thems Maryse’s rules.
*shrug*
And if you visit Jean you know Cheryl is going to want a turn next.
I mean she is right it can’t all be about Jean all the time. Really Maryse.
Speaking of…….Maryse. I mean she is like your family. And you know how family comes first.
So, I can wait.
Plus, I’m super busy reading Jason Thorne.
I have alot of pressure from Melinda.
It really needs to be my first priority.
Sooooo, what you’re saying is…you don’t want to…you think…
*bottom lip trembles*
You’re justifying your rejection by saying…
But, you just live so close and…
Oh just forget it!!!!
*runs away crying*
Isn’t the mystery what we love about this place.
I mean what do we really know about each other?
You like death and throwing penises.
I do not like hugs and I tell lies about people.
Tessa thinks she is a fairy to justify running around naked.
You know she’d be fun to visit.
Tessa, Amy is crying and needs a huggle.
A naked one.
Hey, I’ve been honest.
How I talk on here is how I talk in real life.
No need to be ashamed of being scared of getting sucked into my orbit in real life.
I’ll stay away.
🙄
Amy, I know you are. But I am not exaggerating about how shy I can be in real life. Though I have gotten better. A lot better actually.
Just around 3 or 4 years ago I was walking around with my bf who has known me since grade school.
And we passed this lady reading a book at an outside cafe. I said to the lady as we passed, “Oh, I like that book.”
A couple steps later I noticed my friend staring at me. I was like, what?
She was all, I am just in shock that you talked to her.
I’m like I’m not that bad. She is like yes you are.
Lol. I can’t believe I just admitted that. But I do think I’m doing better.
bev. I am so glad that you are with us in all your public shyness, and yet, you are one of the most hilarious, fun people I’ve ever met. Er… or not met. 😉 Nah… I met you. I feel like I know you. <3
*tries not to snuggle bev*
OMG bev, I seriously want to hug you after reading that.
But I won’t. Because I know that about you.
I’ll settle for feeling blessed just to know you. 😉
Royal Player (All-Stars Book 1)by Katie McCoy and Stolen Songs by Samantha Armstrong are both free today.
Bev, if a short blonde with beautiful eyebrows shows up at your door, you’ll know who it is!! 🙂
Amy, did I get it right? 😉
Tessa, I have read Royal Player. Cute read. FYI- Stolen Songs ends on a cliffhanger and the sequel is not out yet!
That’s funny because I thought Amy would be blonde and MichelleS brunette, but it’s reverse.
Ok Amy, I will put it on my ltbr.
*tbr
I pictured Amy a dark auburn 😛
*giggle*
The short blonde would be Maryse.
I am the short (medium) auburn. *winks at Tasha*
LOL!! I’m more of a strawberry blonde-red. Er… some just think my hair is light brown. So who knows anymore 😉
Yay Cheryl! It’s emotional for sure and I loved it. LOVED it. 😀
*passes Amy a box of tissues* cos you know, snot bubbles!! LOL. The last book that happened to me with was ages ago – The Turning Point. Now that one IS a death book, but I still loved it. What the hey? Not my usual fare. I remember trying to repress the loud sobs so my hubs and kids wouldn’t hear me. *sighs* That book was soooo damn gooooddd. Cathartic.
*whoop*! I win. Lol
IT wasn’t really all that scary, but I did enjoy it. It kind of gave me that Stranger Things vibe, but different. The bullies scared me more than the clown. All the while I couldn’t stand how in every single scenario the kids would just stare until it was way past time to run. *shakes head* Now I can be part of the club and say I’ve seen it too.
I can honestly say I have no desire to see It. I get nightmares from Supernatural (though, for Dean, I still try). I can’t see doing an actual horror without scary dreams.
