Sharon: I’m in a slump. I just finished the What He Doesn’t Know duet and I’m ruined. That was the best angst I’ve had in YEARS. Right up there with Kellan and Kiera angst (hmmmmm – maybe a re-re-re-re-re-read is in my future). The first book really delved into only Charlie and Reese POVs – then out of nowhere we get Cameron. I didn’t know who to root for. But really, there was no rooting because someone was going to be devastated. This truly was an ugly triangle that you just know would hurt any way it ended. I cried when she made her choice.

Heh, maybe there won’t be any bad luck but Friday the 13th and full moons (we don’t have one tonight, right? RIGHT?!?) seem to bring out the odd ones. And dealing with the odd ones in my line of work is awkward at best, LOL!
I’m still enjoying the heck out of Playing With Monsters, but why in books like this are they always hissing and growling when they speak to each other? 🙄

Good morning! I feel out of sorts. Not sure why….maybe I have been too busy & overwhelmed. Its like I have been chasing my tail. Always running but not accomplishing anything.
Anyway, I am reading one of Paula’s faves right now (More Than This by Jay McLean) and it is good so far, but quite depressing. I am hoping for swoon soon.
Happy Friday!!! Finally found a long dress for a black tie wedding. Now to have it hemmed… can’t decide if want to take it to Nordstrom’s- only have $20 left in alterations rewards (used the majority to have my daughter’s Prom dress hemmed) or take it to local tailor, who I know will be cheaper. Decisions, decisions.
Tasha, reminded me of the one book where the h moved her coffee maker to the bedroom. Not a bad idea. *hands Tasha a cold foam cappuccino*

Going from the Del Coranado to a Marriott is depressing. I was in heaven at The Del, sipping cocktails on the beach watching the sunset, sitting on my patio sipping another cocktail, slipping into my comfy bed in my high thread count sheets and waking up to a Starbucks steps from my door. Pure heaven! They even welcomed me with my name on the tv. But, the dream ended and now I’m at the Marriott with everyone else. Sigh
Anyways, still having fun on my Cali vacay. In Ventura today. Just,wanted to check in and say hi to you all!

Sharon, k dramas are Korean television shows. When I hit a major book slump last summer they became my new obsession. They usually feature a romance and all together around 16 to 20 eps. So they often times feel like a book with a distinct beginning, middle, and end. Also, they have tropes.
But beware it can be a slippery slope from dramas to skincare to Kpop, lol.

I finished Beautiful Player and I loooved it! I’m mad at myself for waiting so long to read it, but I swear it was one of those I thought I had. The only thing that irritated me a little was the conflict, but not enough to bother me too much.
Now I’m jumping into How to Walk Away.
Coincidentally, someone payed it forward to me today and I do want to return that goodness for someone else today. Wonderful idea!

It is sad but I love that finally at the end of the song he talks of becoming a man and realizing all she did for him and how much she was hurt. When sings about how she needs to hate him in ways hard to swallow..

I liked Beautiful Stranger as well. Lordy lordy that opening scene. *fans self* But BP is the best. I liked the final book in the series too, just called Beautiful. But I think you’d probably only really enjoy that final one if you’ve read the whole series. Just be aware, if you decide to go “all OCD” like Grey LOL and read them all, that the first book Beautiful Bastard is one of the less good ones IMHO.
