Happy Friday and good morning everyone!!! The latest Friday Finds list is ready to play with, and as usual, I will be adding to it through the day as more bargain-finds, recommendations or new ones go live! 😀 Let me know what you’re reading!!
TAKE A LOOK AT WHAT WE FOUND FOR THE WEEKEND !!
- ACHE by M. Never <— M. NEVER’S LATEST IS LIVE!! Sounds like a super-angsty love triangle!!!! She had a difficult past but… “...But everything changed when I met Alec Prescott. I couldn’t stand the cocky hotshot lawyer at first, but after assisting him on one case, my opinion changed drastically. He became the beginning I so desperately needed, even if romantic relations at work are completely forbidden. Unfortunately, falling in love with a co-worker is the least of my problems. Funny thing about the past, it’s never truly far away…”
- Cross by Adriana Locke <— LIVE!! HE’S CHANGED SO MUCH… “...One minute she’s standing by herself and the next she’s accosted by a rich, velvety scent that could only belong to one man: Cross. At face value, he’s divine. All rugged and confident with a smile that melts her right where she’s standing. It doesn’t take long to find him to be charming, witty, and the owner of a few legitimate businesses. Not at all like the mischievous boy she left…”
- Rough Edge (The Edge Book 1) by C.D. Reiss <— C.D. REISS ALERT & WE HAVE FEEDBACK! Susan is loving this new release!
Susan: I just finished the prequel Cutting Edge and Rough Edge by C.D. Reiss and loved them both. Sooooo good and can hardly wait for the next one. I love when I find a book that I can’t put down and I am supposed to be packing for a trip I leave for in the morning.
- Lie to Me by by Lisa Lace <— LIVE!! MARRIED IN VEGAS & LEFT DEVASTATED… “I came here for a bachelorette party, not a hook-up. Before I know it, we’re in a Vegas chapel and I have a ring on my finger. Things grind to a halt in a way I never saw coming. I’m left with a shattered heart and divorce papers. That’s what we want, right? But everything changes when he sees the baby bump.”
- Resisting Mateo (Morelli Family, #5) by Sam Mariano <— TEAR JERKER ALERT!! Tessa LOVED it!
Tessa: k. So, Resisting Mateo was a five star. Tears, insanity (it is Mateo after all), happiness, fear. Lots of fear. And my heart HURT like an SOB. So, of course, I am onto book 6.
- Tell Me A Secret: A gripping psychological thriller with heart-stopping mystery and suspense by Samantha Hayes
- Blood Oath (The Darkest Drae Book 1) by Raye Wagner & Kelly St. Clare <— MichelleS is LOVING this series!
MichelleS: I’m lerving Darkest Drae. It’s like I get a tiny bit of Tauren Soul (really old tortured soul who turns into a dragon instead of a Tairen – I’ll take it) and Throne of Glass & all the best Fantasy series. Yippee. And it made the list. …If you’re a fan of Sarah J Maas, this is up your alley.
- Firefighter Phoenix (Fire & Rescue Shifters Book 7) by Zoe Chant <— LIVE!! FIREFIGHTER SHIFTER ALERT!! “Swan shifter Rose knows she doesn’t have a true mate. She isn’t the one for Ash, the Phoenix Eternal. She knows he can never be more than a friend, no matter how his dark eyes and hard body make her burn…“
- Dirty Filthy Rich Men (Dirty Duet Book 1) by Laurelin Paige <— SUPER-BARGAIN PRICED TODAY!!
Janet: I really recommend Laurelin Paige’s’ duet, Dirty Filthy Rich Men and Dirty Filthy Rich Love – the story of Donovan and Sabrina! A good roller coaster ride through hot obsession, with some angst, some heart wrench and a buffet of good characters to love and loathe.
- Forgotten Specters: The Fated Wings Series Book 2 by C.R. Jane
- The Aeon Chronicles by April M Woodard
- All Up In The Mix by Donna Hill <— “…Tash should have kept her eyes on her man Jared, but Zeke Ramsey makes It too hard if not impossible. Not only is he deliciously sexy and lights a fire in her with just a look, he is also the ex-prosecutor that ruined the life her long-distance man Jared. She’d fantasized about Zeke while she sat in the back of the courtroom during the trial...”
- The Outpost (Jamison Valley Book 4) by Devney Perry <— DEVNEY PERRY SUPER-BARGAIN ALERT!! She wrote an article exposing a crime family, and now she’s in hiding… with a mountain man assigned to protect her. 😉 YES PLEASE!!!! “…she’s on the run from a powerful man who wants her dead. To stay safe, she’s forced to trade one bad situation for another. Stuck in the Montana wilderness, she’s secluded from anything resembling civilization or the modern-day world. The only good thing about her situation is the gorgeous mountain man assigned to protect her. Too bad he isn’t the slightest bit interested in a city girl like her...”
- The Opposite of You: An Opposites Attract Novel by Rachel Higginson <— *squeeee!!!* One of my ABSOLUTE FAVORITES is super-bargain priced right now. I FELL IN LOVE HARD!!!! And there was PLENTY of realistic resistance… Oooooh I had to work for it and it was perfection! My 5-star review!
- Pretend I’m Yours: A Single Dad Romance by Vivian Wood <— LIVE!! GRIEVING WIDOWER & HIS NEIGHBOR... “Heartbroken, destroyed, and on the edge of despair. That’s how I felt for two years after my wife died, leaving me all alone with our baby. I sucked it up and kept going for my little girl… but I wasn’t living. I was only existing. Then I met Larkin, my gorgeous blonde neighbor...”
- Royal Service (Royals of Danovar Series Book 1) by Leslie North <— LIVE!! THE KING MUST MARRY… “King Phillip is a real life Prince Charming. Golden haired with a Danovian accent, and a solid gold crown sitting on his head, he’s every girl’s daydream. He’s a good man and an even better king, but the one thing he’s been terrible at is choosing a royal wife — fearing a marriage that’s more about policy than passion. But when his mother invites all the eligible maidens to The Summer House Party, Phillip is trapped in a real-life Bachelor where he won’t have the option of quietly splitting from the girl after the party is over — he’ll be wed to her for life...”
- Tequila Burn (The Tequila Duet Book 2) by Melissa Toppen <— LIVE!! MELISSA TOPPEN ALERT!! It’s the DUET CONCLUSION! “Hudson and Lennon’s story continues in the gripping conclusion to the Tequila Duet!”
- My Brothers Best Friend by Kerry Carter
- Trust Fund: A Survival of the Richest Prologue by Skye Warren <— LIVE!! SKYE WARREN ALERT!! “My story starts with a plunge into the cold water of Manhattan’s harbor. A strong hand hauls me back onto the deck of the luxury yacht. Christopher was supposed to be my enemy. Instead he protects me with fierce determination…until the end.”
- Heart Stronger by Rachel Blaufeld <— RACHEL BLAUFELD SUPER-BARGAIN ALERT!! P.S. Don’t forget to check out this fun post about this very book!
- Water Viper: A Jesse Alexander Novel by RJ Blain <— READER RECOMMENDATION!!!
Sharalee: I’ve followed your blog for years…LOVE IT. Thank you for what you do. I’ve never thought to recommend but I recently read a book that was SO GOOD that I really wanted to share. I searched it on your blog and didn’t see it. I also have zero affiliation with this author at all, I was just impressed. Again, thank you for your blog.

No way! I’m first!? Where are all the sleepy heads?
Morning! I am here…been up since 5 but dove back into audio of All In so I was immersed in that.
Happy Holiday weekend! Woot woot.
*tosses red, white & blue glitter for Memorial day*
*sits in the red, white & blue glitter pile and sulks at the delicious-looking s’mores*
*sniffs one.*
I’ve just been in lurking mode.
Hope everyone has a good weekend.
In my defense, it’s super early here when you posted R. 🙂
I’m here. I fell asleep reading The Last Word last night. It’s really good, but I was tired. Yesterday was Little Dude’s birthday. 13! *squeaks in fear* He’s so happy he is now officially a teenager.
Oh, Resisting Mateo. You HAVE to read that series in order. FOR REAL. It would make absolutely no sense on its own.
I’m here… Last minute workday rush and prep for maiden camping voyage of the year. So… On that note. *tosses s’mores*
Oooh, s’mores!! I just begged my Mom to make these for me and she came through…https://togetherasfamily.com/smores-cookie-cups/ They are superb! New fam favorite and we already need another batch. I’ve been in n’ out since 3:30. I can’t believe it’s almost noon already and I haven’t even had breakfast yet! Started The Butterfly Garden a little bit ago.
I always choose smores-flavored things. I love them too!
Tasha I have to make those!!! Yum!
*licks lips and pins recipe*
Seeing those reminds me that I told the fam that my next baking thing is going to be homemade marshmallow and piped meringue, both of which I’m going to torch. I’m also going to try my hand at macarons. I see this stuff on the cooking and baking shows I watch all the time (I love the little meringues that are shaped like Hershey kisses), and I’m finally going to make some of them. I’ll have to go a step further with the marshmallow and use them to make the s’mores. Yummy!!!
Happy Friday! I forgot to do my FLT yesterday. I guess the day just got away from me.
I finished the series. 🙂 And I’m so glad that there is a spin-off. Seriously, I’d miss the whole thing if it didn’t have it.
That said, Mafia and his ANgel are KU, but I think I’m going to buy it. I have an urge to re-read it already. That last mafia series was so good I want to continue with just awesome mafia series. lol
For anyone waiting to order Cocktails, this is going around Twitter right now per the authors:
“For reasons I cannot disclose, I encourage to you pre-order the Cocktales Anthology ASAP.
And that’s all I’m going to say about that.”
I pre-ordered mine the other day. I dont even care if I read it or not but felt it important to support the cause.
Hmm. Weird. I wonder why they can’t just say why?
Attorney Kevin Kneupper, author Tara Crescent, and publicist Jenn Watson were all sued today. I don’t know if it’s is related, but one can only assume. For anyone in my FB group, I posted links to everything, including a fundraiser with cool T-shirts/tanks/mugs/etc. I can email them as well if anyone is interested. Also, this was just released that gives you the latest on the lawsuit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nvcECUKruZ0&feature=share
Actually, I’ll just post the shop. Cool stuff, great cause. https://teespring.com/stores/thecockycollective
I love those items! I’d support it, but I have to wait until June to get it. Even if I didn’t plan to support them, some authors I love are in it. But added to that the stupidity makes me want to buy it.
*sighs* And cute shirt next month too.
Did you all see there will be no more RT?
I never read the mag or went to the conventions but still surprising. It just seemed such a huge thing. I always enjoyed SBTB ladies recap of their times at the conventions.
I heard that they *may* still be doing some sort of a convention but that it would be more reader based. Not 100% though.
Ah! That sucks. I remember when I was a teen and devouring those. The magazine used to do the favorite books and covers things, and had all the books that came out.
Yes, I admit. Rather than reading Cosmo or Teen Bop, I was reading Romantic Times. I was an odd teen.
Happy friday!! So looking forward to a three day weekend!!
Mine was Rolling stone.
Yeah, Booklovers Con. New Orleans next year.
I can’t believe I waited so long for The Butterfly Garden, I hate putting it down. The rest of the fam just left for the zoo so it’s just me and my little ham for the day. Hopefully that means lots of sleeping, reading, and cuddles. I’ve tried really hard not to spoil this one with holding him too much, but it’s impossible. And he knows already! The stinker..
Because he loves you. Soak up all that baby love.
awww so cute Tasha. You are his everything. I miss those days so much! Now I have boys who are perpetually in screen land, not mommy snuggle land. Soak up those moments. But not easy too…
Finished Rough Edge, after Cutting Edge and holy **** this series is nuts. So incredibly intense. I had to step aside for moments. I’ve been trying to find funny light reads lately but this story is so gripping I could not not know what would happen. And it’s only book 1 (after the prequel). Ummm,
I really want to read The Kiss Quotient when it comes out. Anyone want to read it with me?
Bev, honest truth. I hated the popular or off culture music of my teenage years. lol To this day, I’m still not a fan of grunge or too many ballads. Also, I know at that age, I thought everyone on Rolling Stones were sycophants. 😛 I was convinced of it when they said how great a Michael Bolton album was.
Oooh me! ME! I can’t promise I’ll be available to read it @ the same time though…June’s schedule is insane. Especially that week. I love this find though, thanks Bev!
Lol. Not a huge ballad person either. Some, though.
I was never the cool kid. Wouldn’t of known if they were sycophants or not, lol.
Tasha, doesn’t it look good? I’m actually reading today. Raw Blue by Kirsty Eager. It’s been sitting around for awhile and actually had the urge to read.
It does, I’m kind of in the mood for a romance like that too. I watched The Kissing Booth on Netflix the other day and then rented The Matchmakers Playbook and watched that after. Then I go to The Butterfly Garden. Lol! Now, I’m sampling Constant by Rachel Higginson then maybe Crazy Rich Asians to see what strikes my fancy. I want to try The Bird and the Blade by Megan Bannen too. I feel scattered, like I can’t quite pick what I’m in the mood for, but it must be romance right now.
If you try it let me know what you think of Crazy Rich Asians. I was so unaware of it until the buzz around the adaptation.
Same week that KQ comes out a Romcom drama premiers that I have high hopes for. The hero from Fight My Way and the heroine from Healer. Fingers crossed it’s a good summer Romcom.

I mean, I had no idea it existed until that quiz declared him my book boyfriend. I figure it’s only fair we get to know each other better.
Lol, a few of you got that one.
*whispers* It’s too quiet in here today…is everyone out celebrating Memorial Day?
I just did an interview with Willow Asters. SHE interviewed ME!!!
My face is hot right now… I feel faint.
Tasha!!
Tell us baby stories!!!! Tell us all about Jasper as you know him so far. 🙂
Oh, I can’t wait to read that interview! I’ve checked a few times today, coincidentally, to see if Folsom went live early. One can hope, lol! Instead, I’ve started Daughter of Smoke and Bone.
There’s not too much to tell at this point…I’m reading DoSaB aloud and he likes to sleep to it, puckering his lips into a kissy face. Lol. He just sleeps all the time mostly. I’m not even gonna say he’s not a fussy baby, *knocks on wood* lest I jinx my good fortune. He always wants me to cuddle him, my family likes to joke I’m the one that needs the cuddles, pshhh! He wants me, I can tell. He likes to sleep at an incline, also likes his tummy time sleeping on me for a bit, this is from his reflux I believe. He has the clearest gunmetal grey eyes, currently, and when he is alert he’ll just contently, curiously, very slowly look around. And they don’t even cross yet, like most babies do, it’s very chill. *crosses fingers* I hope he’s more chill than my other wild things. He’s recently, over the past couple days, been awake some during the day more to just look around for a couple hours. His umbilical cord fell off early and there was still some goop leftover so the doc put some nitrate stuff on it to help it dry up, soon he’ll be ready for a real bath. I ended up going to the doc twice in one week Bc of that and then calling them 2 days later Bc his eye was gunky and I wanted to be sure it wasn’t an infection brewing so we’re on an ointment just in case. (SO fun trying to do that w/a baby btw) I told my husband to make the calls now or they’ll think I’m a paranoid crazy person. He eats well and poos a lot, haha! And that’s pretty well it for about a week and half old.
Wow!!! Sweet Jasper has had quite a welcome to this world. I have NO doubt that he loves the comfort of his mama’s love…
Maryse, what did she interview you for?
Tasha, he sounds lovely.
*knocks on wood* that he keeps his even temperament.
bev…
An interview from the POV of a blogger. 😉 Books I’m reading, my latest favorites, what I’m excited about, how I started blogging, stuff I love to do when I’m not reading, blogging struggles etc.
It’s actually a podcast so you’ll all get to listen to it.
Also she made me sing at the end. 😛
Oh my… I was hot-faced by the end of that one… will likely be again, when it goes live.
Tasha, I rated Daughter of Bone and Smoke a three star, but I remembered a lot of elements and it kept making me smile years later. I went to read book two and realized I needed a re-read. I see why it got three stars, but it’s really good still. Tell me when you are done and maybe we can buddy read the second one. 😀
I’m sure you were great. I love a good podcast. Can’t wait to hear it.:)
Tessa, for some reason I had thought this was a big favorite among you all who have read it…I just read your review on GR. I’m loving it so far, I’ll keep ya updated.
You know, there is a spot it gets super slow, and that’s why the lower rating, but honestly, anything that can stick and make me wonder what happened next YEARS later is worth more than what I put originally.
I originally put Written in Red and Vicious, both two of my favorites ever, as a four star. I do that as well when I think I’m being overly generous and that all these books can’t possibly be that good. 😀 Obviously, it’s far more than that, but that’s how my brain works.
