- Falling In Love All Over Again: The Sullivans (Babymoon Novella) by Bella Andre <— LIVE!!
Endless (Merciless Book 4) by W. Winters <— SERIES CONCLUSION, RECENT RELEASE & NANCY LOVED IT!
Nancy: ENDLESS (Merciless Book 4) is the last book in the series, but is the absolute best book in the series. Merciless, Heartless, Breathless, lead up to Endless. That this is the thrilling ending of the series is what makes it the best book of the bunch. What an ending to the series! Willow Winters has the most ‘powerful’ writing that I have read in I don’t remember when. From page one till the dramatic end, this book held my attention.
Being Mrs. Cane (Cane #3.5) by Shanora Williams <— LIVE!!! FORBIDDEN LOVE SERIES ALERT!!! These must be read in order.
- TICK TOCK (EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) Book 1) by Jane Harvey-Berrick <— RECENT RELEASE & Amal LOVED it!
Amal: I just completed Tick Tock by Jane Harvey-Berrick and boy does this woman know how to lay out the details. It wrecked me! no jokes!
Being a Muslim I usually stay away from books that tend to spark hate and debate on religion and war but this was so well written, thoroughly researched and objectively painted.
This book did highlight the harsh truth about Syrian conflict and that deserves a major applause. It may have been fiction but it was oh so real, every minuscule detail was well researched.
The characters, Amira and James had the same mission in mind and although their romance was not well- developed, I suspect intentionally so, their love for each other was a battle itself. Jane brought forward such gusty topics, conflict of religion, different continents and nationalities, losses and how none of those conflicts matter when it comes to finding and having good friends.
I found out that there is a sequel to this book containing more. I can’t wait!!
AUDIOBOOK L VERS!
For those going on a road trip soon, or maybe you’ve got some projects that require both hands this weekend but still allows you to “listen”… check out the free audible trial + 2 free audiobooks deal —>
- AND! Here’s the fun-tool again! —> Find out which of YOUR Kindle books are available as audiobooks at a BARGAIN-PRICE! <—
This thing is so cool (Amazon calls it “Matchmaker“)! It’s an Amazon feature, that scans all of your Kindle books and will list all of the ones you have that are also available as an audiobook at a discounted price (not normal audiobook prices). This way, you can switch back and forth, seamlessly between your ebooks and your audiobooks. VERY COOL!
Hate to Love You by Tijan <— Michele G loved it!!
Good morning everyone! I finished the audio of Hate to Love You this morning. It was a nice angsty one for sure. I don’t know how it would read since I listened to the audiobook and I firmly believe that sometimes that can either make or break a book for me.
That said, if you do give it a go, bear with it…you’re going to really dislike the h initially until you start to see what her background has been and even though you won’t excuse the things she’s done…you will start to see why she is so flawed. It was an exhausting journey to their HEA but well worth it.

Happy Friday!
*tosses glitter* or maybe that’s snow. We got hammered with a snowstorm last night…digging our way out this am. Hope everyone is safe!
*twirls in the glitter*
I LOVE FRIDAYS and guess what else. It is in the 50s right now here (and won’t get much higher. YAYYYYYYY CHILLY AIR!!!!!!! :D!!!!
Good morning! Happy Friday! It’s freezing here but no snow (my son will be very disappointed when he wakes up).
I realized last night that Thanksgiving is less than a week away! I need to get menu planning and grocery shopping!
Happy Friday although I’m bummed. I was supposed to be headed to NYC but my flight got cancelled last night. Now I’ve got three sets of theater tickets I’m trying to sell at the last minute. 🙁
Happy snowy Friday!
I am resting after shoveling and still not half way done. It’s so heavy.
Anyway, The Virgin Romance Novelist is a re-release with new cover. FYI
Wait! Hold up….the original didn’t say “chronicles”.
Nevermind…
I can’t even think as I’m so exhausted from leaf removal yesterday and trying to deal with snow today. Sorry!
No clue what to read lately. Nothing is appealing to me.
I want swoon-worthy with some angst and some humor. Not a light rom-com but not a super emotional one either. Something in between. *sigh*
A Transcendence novella?? Through HER eyes?!?
*SQUEEEEEEEEE!!!!!*
Happy Friday, ladies! 😀
Squeeeeee is right, Amy!!! 😀
I finished Pain (pretty much right away) and it was good. It’s still one of my absolute favorite RH. Though the ending was happy, the getting there got a little messy. So much was happening, and I think if it had been a little longer, it would have been a lot cleaner.
*looks at the smoke around her* I refuse to talk about the weather right now. Air quality index was 183 as of 6am. *sighs*
Good Morning Beauties! The sun is out and the snow is melting and I’m heading home tomorrow.
There are so many great books up there that I have read, let’s see..
Transcendence was excellent and I can’t wait for Luffs.
The Beautiful Years, I’m going to start that soon. I’m in the mood for a good mafia story.
Yes Amy! The Captive series. I so loved this series.
The Virgin Romance Novelist was so funny I had tears in my eyes. Loved it!
Tick Tock was also good. It was centered around war romance if you like that.
Speaking of war romance I just finished Heartbreak Warfare and OMG that book! I was rooting for everyone. I couldn’t pick sides. But the ending was just how I like my books to end..wrapped up in a sweet package with a bow on top. My heart had the warm fuzzies.
I just found out yesterday that over the past couple of months I mindlessly (mindlessly = wine) invited an assortment of people for Thanksgiving, so what I thought was going to be me and the hubs and maybe a pizza is now 10 people. Thank god Cracker Barrel caters.
Ohhhh and Cracker Barrel is so YUMMY!!! Good choice!
Yeh it’s finally friday!!! Will look more closely at the list later. Now preparing food for hosting bunko tonight. Homemade vegetable soup, winter salad, cheesy mashed potato/goat cheese/spinach appetizers (a new recipe-fingers crossed) apple-gouda pigs in a blanket (hubby wanted me to try this recipe) and cheese and crackers. Oh and not to be forgotten- wine, LOTS of wine!!!!!
Also just found out I’m not hosting Thanksgiving- going to mother-in-laws. Good and bad. Haha.
I KNOW!!!!! TRANSCENDENCE MADE ME SOB!
*clicks on preorder of Luffs*
😀
I forgot! Dark Arts and a Daiquiri by Aneete Marie came out today! NOT a reverse harem, just an urban fantasy. It’s book two of the series and it’s a lot of fun.
I agree, I read The Virgin Romance Novelist a couple of years ago… It was actually on one of my best of lists, (an honorable mention, if I’m not mistaken) just for being so laugh out loud funny!
I’m in a bit of a rut, can’t settle into anything right now. *Sigh* I have an ARC that I’m gonna try here after I get some words down.
Off in a puff of glitter…
So, I’m reading Two Sides: Gianna (I believe it’s listed as Shhh… on GR), and I plan on reading Two Sides: Mack next (it’s listed as The Truth About Mack now…I wish they wouldn’t change the titles of books like this ).
My question is for anyone who might have read these two books (*looks pointedly at those hanging out quietly in the background of this blog* I’m talking to all y’all as well!)…did you read Gia’s or Mack’s side first? Do you think it matters? Because I’m about 25% into Gia’s story and thinking, WTF?? I’m wondering if Mack’s side gives more info from the start than Gia’s and maybe was meant to be read first.
Amy–I looked back at the original blurbs for both of those books and from the beginning, they said that both could be read as standalones. Neither said that one or the other should be read first.
Still, if someone read them, they definitely would have more insight whether one is actually more important to read first.
Yeah Nay, that’s what I was hoping for. But thanks for chiming in. 😀
*sigh* Where IS everyone? I miss the old days of drunken Friday and Saturday night posting parties. 🙁
Here I am, Amy!!!! Laying in bed all sleepy and reading. Oh and I drank two glasses of wine, which might be why I’m feeling all sleepy and cozy. 😉
Movie night tonight. 🙂 And just been busy.
I’be been bingeing True Blood. Seasons 1-6 were available for prime, but not season 7. *rolls eyes* So, I’m doing 7 day HBO free trial. Because I just started the season. I’m still team Eric. He’s clearly the best choice for her. I also like Alcide.
And we’re putting up the tree today! I’ve nearly completed Christmas shopping. *whoop, whoop!* My baby is getting 6 month shots tomorrow. I call it D Day. It’ll be a sh*t 48 hours or so after. He’s so big now guys. I think he grew 2 sizes overnight. I have to go up a diaper size AND I’m buying him 12 month jammies for Christmas. :’( And my other baby is getting his first cavities filled (with shot also) and I am terrified!! Shots in the mouth are the worst. I don’t care how good they are about it, I swear he’ll never want to go to the Dentist again after this.
Tasha, Eric was my favorite until the very end. In the show and in the books. 🙂
Amy, I had way too much wine friday night at bunko! LOL. Yesterday was cleaning up and being lazy.
Finished reading Buried just now. I liked that it was a unique premise and had you on the edge of your seat; until it didn’t and then it seemed to wrap up too quickly. Would recommend it though.
Last night was movie night for us too! We went to see First Man. It was ok…not as good as Bohemian Rhapsody.
Lots of Thanksgiving and Christmas prep going on around here. Busy, busy, busy. (like the magician from Frosty) 😉
First Man, I’m looking forward to that too. Fun fact- Neil Armstrong was born 15 min from where I live. We just visited the museum again for Halloween this year. And Ryan Gosling visited that town for research this year. I missed it, but that’s HUGE stuff around here.
Hi girls! Missed you! Just been so busy too!
I did finish Pestilence and ABSOLUTELY FREAKING LOVED IT!! CAN’T WAIT FOR WAR TO COME OUT! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
I have an idea.
We should have a Christmas/Winter party.
We should all meet on Dec 21. A Friday night.
We could all read a new release book before then and then discuss OR all watch live watch Elf together….
Maryse could get out the maple syrup and cottonballs.
I’m in bev!!!!! I’ll post pics of my Christmas self!! My sister might even be here by then! 😀
bev I’m putting our December 21st Christmas party on the calendar!! 😀
Just finished setting up the tree, fluffing, adding the top and garland. I suck at garland. Someone needs to teach me the art. Now the kids get to decorate.
We’re about to watch Elf now! What release sounds good?
ELF IS THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIE EVER!!!!! I live life like “Elf” as much as I can. 😀
Ok, we should do this.
A little Elf magic.
Smiling’s my favorite
Leslie, you helped me make some money this weekend. Remember when you said to try taking all my kids clothes to a consignment shop? Well, I just stopped for the 1st time to check on my balance and it was quite a bit more than I thought! Thanks to u for the idea, I’d have ripped myself off big time otherwise. 🙂
Let’s just get it out of the way right now and say I’m a shmuck…I whine on here about no one being on, then disappear before Tessa and Maryse pop in to chat.
Can we blame the blueberry wine I consumed? Let’s do that. Yeah, it was the wine. *snicker*
I am SO in for a December 21 viewing of Elf. We just have to pick a time that works with all of our time zones and isn’t too early or too late for any of us. And everyone should wear Christmas jammies!!
And hey, we should ALL take pics of us during the viewing and send them to Maryse to post! If anyone is uncomfortable with face pics then send a body pic of your comfy jammies. Look at me throwing out blog post ideas as if this is MY place. 😛
I’m in!! We’re doing a christmas PJ party post!!!
Yay Tasha! I am so glad for you. There is a big consignment shop in my town. They have one store for clothes/kid stuff and another for housewears/collectibles/antiques. We take all our stuff there. Easy way to make a buck!!!
Amy, great idea! I bet Maryse will think it’s hilarious.
Good Morning lovelies!
Amy you always have me *giggling* so thank you for that. And OMG they have blueberry wine. I love blueberry anything except pie
Mmmmm I just love blueberry ANYTHING. That is my absolute favorite candle scent, and berry, and desert and color and yep!!! Blueberries for me. I once had blueberry wine back in my college days… a bottle. I was not used to that kind of drinking and it didn’t “take”. LOL!!!!! But it was yummy while it lasted. 😉
