Jenn- I’ve watched the trailers for A Star is Born. I do want to see it, just not sure if have time this weekend.

Was going to start my new book on my commute and instead listening to music with my eyes closed.
Like I said last night my show creeped me out a bit. I’m curious if Amy will find it creepy or if I’m just that much of a wimp.
I want to see A Star is Born so bad, but am afraid. I like to watch emotional things by myself at home. I don’t like being a blubbering idiot at theater…so embarrassing.
OMG! You guys have to read Medicine Man. It was so good. The H is a Psychiatrist at a mental facility and the h is his patient. She’s 18 and he’s in His 30’s…so taboo. There is just something I really like about a mental hospital romance between doctor and patient. This book hits all the buttons.
I’m going to wait until next week to see A Star is Born. Hopefully the crowds die down. I’m in love with that teaser they have been showing.

I just got the results of my skin biopsy this morning and it’s benign!!! YAYYYY!! *phew*
I’ve been stressing over that birthmark and monitoring it for years, and it’s been acting weird lately. THANK. GOODNESS. And now it’s gone anyway so I don’t have to keep worrying about it. 😀

Leslie-I know what you mean but it’s just been too damn long since I went and saw a movie and I really don’t want to wait. My Mother in Law and I are going to the first matinee on Sunday so hopefully crowd wise it won’t be too bad since football is on and all. I usually avoid going to movies because of crying…But a girls got to get out! 🙂 the last movie I went to that I really cried was The Hurt Locker and before that Monster’s Inc.

Ironically I had to go for my physical yesterday and I have two on my back that he was a little concerned about so they he sent me to a dermatologist today who confirmed they needed to be removed and so they are on Tuesday.
Robyn-yes that teaser got me…and the sound track I’ve been listening to definitely giving me the feels! I believe they both will be nominated for Oscar’s for this movie! I have Medicine Man and plan on reading that this weekend!

Maryse–In her blog post, Stacia explained kind of why she’s been off the grid for a while (moving back over here from England), but she promised it’s happening! I’m trying not to get my hopes up too much, but I read my review of Chasing Magic last night and it made me realize how much I miss Terrible, Chess, and even Lex. I may just need to re-read part or all of the series!

Update on two of my fav authors. Lauren Gilley – I’ve been checking out her FB page. The long awaited part 3 of Prodigal Son is coming out this month. HOPEFULLY!!!! The third book in her paranormal series is coming too. Dragon Slayer. I’m not a huge fan of that series cos I struggle to read about vampires and blood. Yechh. But the big exciting news is that she’s going to write ANOTHER DARTMOOR BOOK. Yayyy!! Super yay!!!! It’s #7 and gonna be called When In Rome. No release date yet, but I can wait if I know it’s coming. Woohoo! My fav bikers.
Also another of my favs authors, Nia Forrester, says on her website she’s working on Devin’s story (from the fabulous Commitment series). It’s gonna be called The Broken. Not sure when it will be out. But there IS a release date for a book of 4 stories about our fav characters from the Commitment series. The book is called Four: Stories of Marriage and it’s out on October 21st. I’ve preordered. I’m a bit nervous though cos I don’t want any of my favs to have any problems. In my imagination they’re just happily living their HEAs. Eek. I’m a bit scared of this new book!
I want to go see A Star is Born too 😀 If my hubs won’t come I’ll just go by myself.

We just got home from picking up my 17 yr old son from where he was in a wreck with 4 of his friends. The owner of the car (who was driving) was going 100mph and swerved to miss a car and lost control. He clipped 2 trees and ended up in a ditch, and the car is totaled, completely destroyed. My son had just told him that one of these days when he was going so fast over a hill, he was going to meet a car in his lane and wreck, and then it happened.
Thank the Lord my son is just bruised and banged up. The driver and one of the boys may have some broken bones. The state troopers said that If they hadn’t had their seat belts on, one or more would likely be dead.
Oh Nay. I’m so glad that your son and his friends are ok. That had to be really scary.
I literally almost passed out when I saw the car.
That happened to a friend and her mom when I was a teen.
Couldn’t imagine how scary that visual would be.
Oh Nay! Thank goodness everyone ok. I have pretzel tummy just thinking about it.

No reading time for me this weekend. I’m painting my daughter’s room. It’s utter madness with littles. I’m making my daughter babysit while I paint. As much as she can. Who’s crazy idea was this for a gift?!
Tasha–I went back and forth from Bill to Eric throughout the series, but my main thing was always for Eric. I never did watch the last season. Got too crazy and strayed too much from what I remembered in the books.
I read the scenes with Chess and Terrible over and over! I really need to go back and read the series again.
I never finished True Blood either.
I was so sure of what book I wanted to read next, and now not so sure.

I read Nordic King and was just so-so with it. Was good but was a little disappointed maybe because I have such high expectations of Karina Halles books? My rating would have been 3.5 or maybe a 4. Will be interested in what everyone thinks.

Hubby was getting a snack before we started it last night, and while he was doing that I fell asleep as soon as I was comfy on the couch. That’s what happens when you have a 55-hour work week. *sigh*

For now, ILYILH already has my tummy knotted up from the foreshadowing alone. And I am LOVE the h’s voice. Nothing flowery, no unnecessary distracting descriptions, realistic observations (about herself, others, and her surroundings), and just plain blunt. Exactly how I like it with stories like this. Fingers crossed I keep loving it this much.
Amy dont worry about it. Make sure you get enough rest.

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers, everyone! I feel like my life is a constant prayer request! lol
All the boys are okay. Bruised, cut up, and sore, but okay. One broke his collarbone and my son’s knee is bothering him. The driver’s mom called me this morning and I felt so bad for her. I told her that I’m on my 3rd son now, so I know every feeling she’s going through. I was in her place 2 years ago when my oldest went into a ditch with his truck and the cops came to my house the next morning to arrest him for dui. It’s heartwrenching to have to watch the police take your child away in handcuffs.So I told her to try to concentrate of the fact that there’s plenty for them to be thankful for (no one was killed; her son wasn’t arrested), even though it may not feel like it now. And then we cried together.
So enough of the heavy! Did anyone go see A Star is Born yet??
And btw, Maryse, I’m so happy that your tests came back all clear!
My husband had malignant melanoma about 25 years ago from a mole on his back that turned bad. It bothered him for 2 years and he let it go. They ended up taking a chunk the size of a hockey puck out of his back, but he didn’t have to do anything else. Always get moles checked, especially if they’re changing color or shape!
Nay just got back and I absolutely loved it!

Jenn, I’m wondering the same thing and if they stayed true to the original story. I know for this one, there’s a lot of original music.
I did start Bluebird. The start was a little disappointing with the writing- didn’t flow;( if she uses whilst one more time, ugh), but I’m getting into it now. So far good, not great.
Honestly-OMG YES…..I could not stop crying the last 20 minutes or so but Leslie I was not alone and I assure you you won’t be either! When the movie ended not a soul got up there were plenty of men there too
Hubs said he’d take me to see it next weekend. If it looks like the crowds have gone down, we may go on Saturday afternoon.
Not that far into Trail of Lightning but I am liking it so far. If you are into UF, maybe give it a shot.

Cheryl I never saw the original and honestly did not know the story so I unfortunately can not answer that I fell in love with the music in the trailer teaser for this one which is why I wanted to see it badly plus I know a lot people don’t like her but I love Lady GaGa and the songs she sang in this just WOW

Nay-I couldn’t get my hubs to go with me and I was shocked by the number of men that were there. more than half of the theater at the 12:10 show I went to today was empty though so crowd wise u should be okay
There is a book that I have been stalking by Heather M Orgeron and Kate Stewart called Heartbreak Warfare that is expected to come out in November I am hoping some will brave it with me as I don’t think I can do it alone.

Sorry for all my messages but I just found out about a horrific accident that happened where I live. 20 people lost their life yesterday. I don’t watch the news so just finding out from my mom. So unbelievably sad-please pray for these families-from what my mom told me they haven’t released much about the victims as they are still notifying family but 4 of them were sisters. How as parents can you cope when all four of your heartbeats are gone-just no words for that kind of heartbreak
