Happy Black Friday Finds & Reader Recommendations!

SATURDAY UPDATE!!! Some of the items below are no longer on Black Friday Sale (or now sold out because of limited quantities), but some are still “Black Friday-priced” 😀 YAY!! And if I find a few more that look great today, I’ll add them in.

HAPPY BLACK FRIDAY EVERYONE! I hope your Thanksgiving was awesome, peaceful, and loving, and I hope you all had the BEST sleep ever from the turkey-coma. LOL!!! And we’re gonna have one all weekend, ’cause the leftovers are even better the next few days!! 😀

Okay… so who braved the crazy midnight Black Friday deals (and who’s still in them as we speak?). Does anyone have a crazy story to tell (past or present)? Did you find what you were looking for? Did you find something SO COOL that you didn’t even know you were looking for? I’m dying to hear the stories. List your goodies!!

I only ever braved one night of the early Black Friday shopping and had a blast (even though I was pretty scared). LOL!! Luckily we were only going with an open-mind, just to “see” what it was like, and to see if we could stumble on a few unexpected deals. YIKES!!! It was an incredible frenzy to watch, and there were some loud voices and bustling for sure, but we steered clear, stood back, and even found some great deals without a fight! But that was the one and only time, and now I just live vicariously through you brave souls.

BUT!!! This is the next best thing. In fact, some would even consider THESE BLACK FRIDAY DEALS deals as HUGE and fun as the ones out there (just… much safer). 😉 Mind you, you still have to act fast ’cause the deals are in limited quantities, and limited time frames.

• Masterbuilt Butterball Electric Turkey Fryer 10L Analog w/Timer, 10 L <— HOLY MOLY this one is more than half off today! And yes, we missed it for our Thanksgiving feast, but there are plenty that will be turkey-ing it up for Christmas, so this might just be right on time!

You mention Vain and Ruin, but there are a number of others that cross over with characters… Thanks, as ever, for all your great recommendations!

• I Wrote This For You by Iain Thomas <— THIS ONE SOUNDS HEARTBREAKING AND POIGNANT AND MOVING… and it’s not even a piece of fiction. It’s words, photos, meant for all of us to take in as we need them. “…each chapter of I Wrote This For You focuses on a different facet of life, love, loss, beginnings and endings…” I feel like I want this.

MichelleS: I am currently reading A Promise of Fire (Kingmaker Chronicles Book 1) and loving it. She is a great heroine. Strong. Super snarky. A total bad @$$. It is Golden Dynasty meets Percy Jackson meets Throne of Glass. Seriously. She’s abducted by a warlord (woo hoo) from the traveling circus where she’s been hiding for years because of her crazy powers. The royals want her because of the powers (Kingmaker) and this warlord is no different. But she is not coming along easily. There are dragons and greek gods and there’s magic. And hanky panky! Did I mention the hanky panky? The slow burn is just what I needed. She’s not having it but he keeps trying anyway.
