Falling from Heaven, or falling in love?”

Amy July 11, 2014 at 5:39 PM

*snicker* :P

So, my “new purchase” read will be either Sessions Interrupted (one-clicked that naughtiness a couple of days ago!) or It’s Always Been You. Oh! I also found one called The Resurrection of Aubrey Miller that looks intriguing. But then there is Smoldering…pretty cover, interesting blurb…and that nice-looking glass of wine on the front doesn’t hurt either!

Cheryl July 11, 2014 at 7:06 PM

Hey Maryse- have you thought about posting an ultimate list of “sports-theme” books? Like Falling into Infinity, the Perfect Game series. I was in the mood to read one. ;)

Lauren July 11, 2014 at 7:06 PM

Ashley, I just read The Boss’s Love by Casey Clipper & I loved it. Mafia love story, no cliffhanger. Cover & title isn’t great so I almost didn’t buy but so glad I did. Also, The Arrangement by Bethany-Kris. I’ve re-read that one a dozen times. E.L. Montes’s Disastrous & Cautious….2 books, mafia/crime love story & sooooo good!

Cynthia July 11, 2014 at 7:37 PM

Hi Maryse!!! I’m from Brazil and Iove your blog and recommendations. This week I read a sweet and amazing book: “Puddle Jumping” by Amber L. Johnson. It’s a short and beautiful love story about a very special boy and an amazing girl that loves him unconditionally. The author writes from the heart and it’s a world she is well versed in. It’s just US$ 0,98.

Lauren July 12, 2014 at 7:20 AM

Capo, the sequel to Soldier by Lilliana Rhodes is out.

Fabi July 12, 2014 at 9:56 AM

I’m still holding my breath for Word Play. It’s supposed to be out on July 14th but there is no pre-order available. Something to do with publishing ways. Here’s a blurb:

” Michael Rourke learned this the hard way.

Struggling to make ends meet as a mystery writer, he sold his soul – and his pride – as he pedaled sex and lust writing under the pen name Christoph Strong.

No one knew he was the one behind the steamy stories on the bestsellers lists. And he planned to keep it that way.

Until he met her.

Monica Singer, an infamous blogger, is keen to discover the truth of his secret identity.”

Doesn’t that sound interesting?

Maryse July 12, 2014 at 11:49 AM

It DOES!!! Ooooooooh!!

Maryse July 12, 2014 at 11:50 AM

Thank you Cynthia! I’m going to look it up right now! :D

Michelle July 12, 2014 at 9:25 PM

I am reading Take, by Ella Frank the sequel to Try…. and I think I need a bag of ice to cool myself down. I have attacked my husband and it still hasn’t helped. It has me totally and completely turned on…. and it’s about two men!! Crazy, I know, but they are incredibly hot. I’m only 20% in. I will self-combust at this rate. Blay and Quinn who???? Logan and Tate are impossible to resist. If you are in the mood for steamy steamy steamy, give Take a Try!! (Fanning myself).

Amy I just bought Big Fatty mascara!!! Yay me! I can’t wait to try it. And I bought a Sephora purple liquid liner to go with my gorgeous purple quad. I love makeup. And books. Oh happy day! :P

Amy July 13, 2014 at 6:28 PM

Yay is right!! I love Big Fatty when I’m not wearing a lot of eyeshadow and/or with winged eyeliner. Oh! Winged/cateye would be a *beautiful* style with the purple liquid liner and purple quad. Make sure the next time you pose with a book you are all decked out in those colors! You know, because I said to and all. ;)

Books, makeup, polish…happy day indeed!! Throw in a martini or mojito and I’ll be one giddy girl! :D Okay, diving into Unbeloved now…
