My reading week was a little, well…. non-existant, so far. But that’s okay, ’cause it was entirely book related, nonetheless. Book Bash “prep” kept me in the thick of authors, their awesome books & my fellow readers, and now that the long weekend is here, I’m gonna catch up on my reading by indulging in as many books as I can fit through my eyeballs. π
<— Like… this one!! It’s taking our fellow readers by storm!!
Okay so these are the ones that I’m antsy for, right now. I don’t even know which one to start first… but here is my latest TBR list belowΒ (see how much I’ve switched it up from the last ones? I’m a book glutton and a bit fickle, I see. π I wanna read ’em all, and still haven’t completed my other TBR lists. Ahhhh well, these are the ones at the top of my list, right now, simply due to my mood so I’m going with it.):
My current and latest TBR list:
You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me,Β Never Smile at Strangers (Grand Trespass Series, #1),Β Tangled (The Tangled Series),Β Driven (The Driven Trilogy),Β Allure: A Spiral of Bliss Novel (Book Two),Β The Heart Has ReasonsΒ <— I hear this one’s crazy!!)Β andΒ Sleeping in Eden: A NovelΒ <— this one is not bargain priced so I’m in sample mode for now…
Here are the latest reader recommendations and bargain finds!
- You Don’t Have to Say You Love MeΒ by Sarra Manning <— I got SO excited when I found out this was finally in Kindle format (and bargain priced, to boot!!) that I had a mini celebration on Facebook:
Maryse’s Book Blog: Yahoooooo!!!!! *leaps in the air and does that side foot click thingie*
I’ve been wanting to read this book forever (I received some great recommendations for it), purchased two copies in print (to give away on my blog when I finally reviewed it), but haven’t read it yet because I’ve become an e-book snob. I’ve been spoiled with the ease & convenience of ebook reading. But when I found out that this author’s other book was now in Kindle format, I checked, and this one is TOO!!! And it’s ON SALE also! Β MINE!!!!! “You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me” by Sarra Manning.Veronica:Β Β I adored this book. I is a great stand alone read and nice and meaty.Thessa:Β OMG! There’s a Kindle edition now? LOL I read this back in 2011 and I had to order a paperback from across the pond; waited weeks for it, too. Totally worth it though. LOVE Max! Enjoy!!Claudia:Β I’m reading” You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me” and is AMAZING.. π SOOOO GOOD!!Amanda:Β Β I am reading it too. I just told my husband I would be calling him Max during the holiday weekend.
- UnstickyΒ by Sarra Manning is another one that I had to purchase a print version of, ’cause I was dying to read it. Here is my review.
- Ever EnoughΒ by Stacy Borel <— Sharon found us this one. Oooh I’m a sucker for high school reunion stories!
- Never Smile at Strangers (Grand Trespass Series, #1)Β byΒ Jennifer Minar-Jaynes <— this one looks awesome but in a creepy scary way. TONS of great reviews. I don’t even think it goes into the romance territory (even the dark kind), but I REALLY want to give this one a go and get that scared adrenaline rush.
- UndeniableΒ by Madeline Sheehan considering how I’m STILL in an “Unbeautifully (Undeniable: Book Two)” happy fog (it’s sequel) I would recommend jumping on this gritty read ASAP. This one’ll bring you right out of your comfort zone and leave you scraped up and dirty. SO FUN!! If you’re into that, that is. Which I totally am. In books. LOL! π
- Here Without You (Between the Lines #4)Β by Tammara Webber <— This is PRE-ORDER only, but bargain priced, so I’m including it. π
- The Do OverΒ by A.L. Zaun <— she finally finds her real life book-boyfriend and her ex comes back in the picture… Daisy recommends this one saying: “Read The Do Over by A L Zaun. You will not be disappointed ;)”
- Tangled (The Tangled Series)Β by Emma Chase <— this one is on the edge of our usual “bargain pricing” but all I can say is I’m getting non-stop rave reviews, and I think I need this one next. Like… now. π Melissa highly recommends it: “Just finished Tangled by Emma Chase and it was a 5 hilarious star read for me. The book is written in Drews POV. Wow, did I love getting inside his head. Hes cocky, sexy, funny & absolutely dreamy. Looks like I found myself a new book bf. This was a nice change of pace from all the angsty, dark stuff Ive been reading. Just what I needed!”
- Second Rate ChancesΒ by Holly Stephens <— Jennifer found us this deal! Guy wakes up from a 3 year coma to find a girl who is not his girlfriend, claiming she is his fiancΓ©…
- Chase (Resisting love)Β by Chantal Fernando <— (Thanks Tricia for pointing this one out!)Β Girl moves in with your typical player (roommate?) after meeting him once, and his player ways come back to haunt him (driving her away).
- Love By Design (Design series)Β by Elizabeth James (Aimee found us this book)
- Life By Design (Design Series)Β by Elizabeth James (and here is book #2)
- Close Obsession (The Krinar Chronicles: Volume 2)Β by Anna Zaires (Aimee found us deal, too!)
- Love Realized (The Real Love Series)Β by Melanie Codina <— oh wow this does look good! Sharon said: “This has been on my wish list, on sale with all good reviews! “
- The Hazards of Skinny DippingΒ by Alyssa Rose Ivy <— Sharon found us this, too: “Looks like a fun read and on sale! :)”
- Beautiful Strangers (The Masquerade Series)Β by Glenna Maynard (Thanks Aimee!)
- Zoey Rogue (Incubatti Series)Β by Lizzy Ford <— lots of good reviews. (It’s paranormal) – Thanks again, Aimee!
- Tear (A Seaside Novel)Β by Rachel Van Dyken <— (thanks Aimee!!)
- Pull (A Seaside Novel Book 2)Β by Rachel Van Dyken
- Shatter (A Seaside Novel)Β by Rachel Van Dyken
- Elite (Eagle Elite)Β by Rachel Van Dyken <— oh this one was on my TBR list!!
- Bad RepΒ by A. Meredith Walters <— Β (thanks Kathy!) and I enjoyed this one!! (here’s my review)
- CrushΒ by Lacey Weatherford <— Β this one’s been on my TBR for awhile. YAY! (thanks Kelli!)
- Selling Scarlett (Love Inc.)Β by Ella James <—
- GroupieΒ by Ginger Voight <— one that made me crazy and made my stomach hurt ’cause of the angst. Rock star read, and this guy acts like the rock star you’d expect. Pooooor groupie. Or is she a groupie? (here’s my review)
- So Many Reasons Why (So many reasons, book 1)Β by Missy Johnson <— Stephanie found us this one saying: “So Many Reasons Why (So many reasons, book 1) by Missy Johnson It’s a Teacher/Student Romance Book!”
- The Last Hour (Thompson Sisters)Β by Charles Sheehan-Miles <— one of my favorite books this year but this is the 3rd in the series, and while you can absolutely read it as a”standalone” it’s best to read the first one to get the whole story feel… (here’s my review)
- Listed: Volumes I-VIΒ by Noelle Adams <— this is the entire bundled series. It’s made a recent appearance on my TBR list ’cause it would seem so many of our fellow readers love this one!
- Driven (The Driven Trilogy)Β by K. Bromberg <— this one looks right up my alley!!! Great looking reviews, too. Yes please! Bobbie recommended it saying: “Pretty awesome racing romance series.”
- Afflicted (Battlescars II) (Battlescars: A Rock & Roll Romance)Β by Sophie Monroe <— Kat pointed out this recent release.
- Emancipating AndieΒ by Priscilla Glenn <— Jennifer pointed this one out, and Meghan said: “I read this and really liked it a lot. 4 stars! I just love Prisilla Glenn’s gentle way of writing.”. Twin agreed: “Really good book, 4 stars for me too!”
- Beautiful Broken RulesΒ by Kimberly Lauren <– Jackie said: “This turned out to be great! Loved it.” and Jillian agrees: “Oh!!! I am reading this right now and REALLY enjoying it as well!! Love the characters!”
- The Heart Has Reasons (A romantic suspense thriller)Β by Martine Marchand <— Nancy says: “I loved this book (complete novel with no cliffhanger)” and Sara agrees: “This is a great one!”

Thank you! Just finished Sweet Thing and can’t rave enough about it. I also am excited that Sara Manning’s books are digital. I read Unsticky last year and liked it although it was a little dry for me. I downloaded her other one after seeing your post the other day. I also added Tangled, The Do Over and The Last Hour as my next TBR. So many choices but looking forward to the 3day weekend!
I have to recommend Tangled – it is absolutely hilarious! I started laughing from page one and kept on all throughout the book! Definately a MUST read – move it to the top of your TBR for the weekend:)
My latest TBR list REALLY has me excited. I think I’ve got a few super-winners in there, for sure!!!
Arrrgh I’m still in a daze over tangled. can’t bring myself to start my next read its basically ruined me for all other books!
Such a sweet read I got so lost in the story I skipped dinner last night (as you do!)
Ok.Driven is on my kindle ready to go I hope it lives up to all its reviews.
Maryse! Why don’t you post any more e-bargains that are freebies anymore?? Not that I mind any of the books above, but I love me a good freebie π
Oh Maryse Emma Chase’s Tangled is fantastic, all from the male POV. Of course on that bargain list is The Last Hour which is one of my faves this year also.
I like the variety in your list. It helps to mix it up. I am starting Tangled tonight! Allure was really great, BTW. Love the series (thanks for introducing me to it!) and it keeps getting better.
Tangled was cheeky and clever. I found myself giggling throughout the book and straight out laughing at a certain scene with a visual. I highly recommend it!
You have to read Tangled! Read it this week, and I am still in a happy book fog! Hilarious, sweet and steamy!
Hi! I found this website the other day when I kept seeing reviews on amazon mentioning a mysterious Maryse who apparently recommended excellent books. π anywho, long story short, this site is seriously amazing! I love all of your top picks (in fact I’ve read most of them) and I’m excited to read the ones I haven’t yet!
Also, after seeing this post i just had to say that I second everyone’s love of Tangled! It was truly awesome, stupendous, wonderful–there wasn’t a thing about it I didn’t love (I read it in one sitting today)! It was funny, original and heart-warming π I hope you love just as much as I did!
Anyways, I’m so glad I found this blog and I’m excited to find new books to read!
Agreeing with all the others! Tangled was fabulous!! His POV is awesome and I highlighted some of the most awesome lines ever:
“You walk around like an uptight overachiever on crystal meth!!”
Have fun with this one!
Tangled is great, Great, GREAT!!!!!! Drew had the same perverted personality as DEX!!!!!! Yes!!! I said our beloved Dex, that’s right!!!! This book is as funny Wallbanger. An absolute must read!!!!!
That was one of the best books I have read.
I can’t remember ever laughing out loud.
A must read.
I’ve been on a week’s holiday and feel like I’ve had my eyes gouged out as I haven’t been able to read very much π I did get through Alllure and Unbeautifully though π
I’ve been devouring the blog and Facebook page to catch up. I have lots of time to read this week . Tangled is top of my list..
Allure was a bit disappointing for me, be prepared for a strange ending which I did not expect. Not cliffhanger but I didn’t feel easy about it.
Hope you enjoy You don’t have to say you love me . I LOVE Sarra’s books, they down to earth realism .. look forward to reading your review .Happy reading .
Absolutely loved Tangled by EMMA CHASE … I haven’t laugh so much during a book in a while my fiance kept staring at me like I had finally lost my mind . Loved that it was from Drews POV. It was very refreshing and can’t wait to see what comes out of this series. (Highly recommend it):D
Reading Tangled right now and loving it…oh Drew
As always, thanks for the bargain list. I found a few more to add. Sea of Tranquility is on sale for $3.79 on Amazon. Shattered Grace by K. Anne Raines is on sale for $0.99. Wreck Me by J.L. Mac is on sale for $0.99. Shattered Promises by Jessica Sorenson is on sale for $0.99. Thanks again for all your wonderful book reviews and bargain lists each week! Have a great Memorial Day Weekend!
I really want to read You don”t have to say you love me, but it’s not available for kindle in Canada. I liked it better when amazon.ca didn’t have the kindle store and i could just buy from the US kindle store! Anyone in canada know if there is a way to default it back to the US kindle store?
Maryse, please keep Listed on your TBR, it is so good, I was in such a rut and after reading that I want another book that has so much depth to both of the characters and makes you feel. Of course I will be reading all of her books but wanted to remind you to read it, you will be so glad you did.
There are some great books on this list! I just read Crush and it was great!! Of course Unbeautifully was a 5 Star read and now I am on to Tangled! Can’t wait!!
God I love Unstickey and You Don’t Have To Say You Love Me by Sarra Manning. They were both fabulous. I even read Adorkable which is a YA book because I love the author so much. Wish she would write more adult fiction. I also wish I could find more books like these.
Great list, Tangled was fantastic, mainly because the hero’s voice was hilarious and so authentic. Drew had me smiling so hard my cheeks hurt!
Finished Tangled the other day (read it like in 6 hours) and absolutely
loved it. It is hilarious and I actually learned a few things about guys
from reading it. It is also a sweet love story. Recommend it highly!
It is referred to as “The Tangled Series” but haven’t heard about any other books from this author or when they may be coming out. Would love to hear if anybody knows.
Just finished Tangled. I loved it for the same reasons as everyone else. I’m looking forward to another by Emma Chase!
I just finished Tangled by Emma Chase and loved it! She posted a short scene from Kate’s POV on her website emmachase.net, and it was really cute. She is currently writing a second book per her website, Twisted, but she did not give a release date….hopefully it’s soon.
julie o,
On Emma Chase’s website, she says her next book will be titled “Twisted”. Also she wrote a short epilogue from Kate’s POV. Sooo good! π

Wanted to let you know I am 24% in to Never Smile At Strangers and it is TOTALLY different than anything else I have been reading lately. It’s being written from several POV’s and is very mysterious. Have to keep reading because there seems to be so much going on and so far it seems so random. Intriguing!
Thank you LucyLou, will check out her website. Also to anyone out there
what book is Dex in? I keep hearing his name and want to read his book.
Julie O: Dex is in the Experiment in Terror series by Karina Halle.
Teresa,
Thank you so much. Its a good book right?
Julie,
These books are all downloaded on my iPad but are on my TBR list. My sister has read them all and loved them. Plus, Maryse loved them, and so far everything that she has recommended to read has been great. If Maryse gives a book a 4 or 5, I download them and read them. I was just waiting for the next book in the Experiment in Terror series to come out before I started reading them.
I just finished reading Relentless and Pieces of You by Cassia Leo and I thought they were really good. I really like the story line and I could not put them down, I needed to know what was going to happen next. Did I mention there is a hot surfer and a hot rock star in it? I think they should bed in your TBR list. π
