<—- First I wanna tell you what I’m reading right now, and since it’s bargain priced, it totally fits this list! I’ve been receiving recommendation after recommendation for this one over the last 24 hours, and I started it last night… er…. this morning at 1am. Read it until 3am and I would have totally not put it down but my sleepless-zombie-powers conked out on me. I crashed. BUT!! I must say, so far, so very good, and I totally want to get back to it, right now.
Valerie: Maryse I have to share a book with you that I stayed up all night to finish. Painted Faces by L.H Cosway. Soo good!! I think you’ll really like it!!
Rebecca: Hey Maryse, Karina Halle was reading this book on GR and I ended up winning a copy from her, it’s called Painted Faces by L.H. Cosway. I think you might like it. It’s a very unique take on CR, one only for those with an open mind but I’m having a hard time putting it down. :0)
Debra: This is one of those books that I want (need) everyone to read! No one I know has read it yet and I am about to explode with the need to discuss, dissect, and share my experience. My heart is beating faster just thinking about it. It’s been 24 hours and the edge I got from this book hasn’t even begun to wear off!!! I am dying to see if others feel the same as I do. So READ IT everyone and let me know!!!! Read girls read….I need to discuss!!!!! Hopefully we can get Maryse to put a discussion board.
(sidenote from Maryse: okay hint taken!! I shall be putting it up as soon as I finish this post)
Fantastic writing, sarcastically witty, and sorta… sophisticated? Well you know, these are characters well established in their adult lives. Romantic subject matter that at first made me go… huh? What? Weird. Wanna know why? ‘Cause he’s her new neighbor, and he’s so obviously into her. He’s gorgeous, seductive and so very flirty. She’s crushing hard. So what’s the big deal? Er… well. It’s his surprise “drag queen” reveal. WHAT!!?? Yep!! My eyes crossed at that part of the synopsis, too. I thought… well okay. But.. what?!! But I’m reading it and all I can say is it’s totally for me! OH YES!!! I can totally get into this. And him. Such an original idea, we’ve not read the likes of this before, but I have a feeling I just may fall head over heels. Oh and did I mention, it takes place in Dublin, Ireland? Can you imagine the sexy accent on him? Oh right, but he’s from New Zealand. Still. sexy accents applies. 😉
Okay so now for the goodies, so that I may return to my own special weird romance treat!

Thank you, yes! I love Maryse’s Freebies Friday!!!! 🙂
Here’s my goodreads review on Someone to Love:
The writing is solid in this book. The author uses a lot of symbolism and analogies in the characters’ monologues. Quite brilliant and creative I would say. Also, the writing was very descriptive and mixed with sarcasm and wit. I lost count how many time I’ve bursted out laughing. Such a sweet fluffy read. The steamy scenes are quite tasteful. I wouldn’t mind reading a sequel on these 2 lives. 🙂
Thanks Kassi!!
Thanks Maryse. 🙂
I JUST finished Someone to Love. It was well written, funny, and Kenny andCruise had some hot chemistry. It was a lot less…angsty than what I thought it would be going in, but I still enjoyed it.
Yay!!!! I am so glad that people are discovering L.H. Cosway. Her ultimate power series is also amazing! It has great characters from, vampires, dhamphirs, slayers, witches and warlocks. There are two books in this series.
OMG I have soooo many books that I just got and I’m still getting more from this list. (BTW thanks) I think I have a problem. Do we have a support system to help with that. hee hee 😀
These lists are awesome! My Kindle is never empty thanks to you!
I totally agree with Kassi’s thoughts on Someone to Love. It was a great, enjoyable read. Perhaps somewhat predictable, but still really sweet.
I also read VAIN. At first, I thought I wasn’t going to like it. And I almost didn’t read past the Sample. But….I am so so SO very glad I did. It is an incredible coming-of-age/growing up story. I felt for this girl, eventually in so many ways. I cried with her. I grew with her. If I had a teenage daughter, I would be making her read this book. I just absolutely loved it.
I also read it right after Ten Tiny Breaths, and I think the two combined just left me with too many intense emotions in one day! I was pretty somber at our last family Christmas tonight, but I just can not get Sophie from VAIN out of my head. It was that good.
I read “No More Wasted Time” yesterday and I have to say, I enjoyed it. It has some editing issues, and the pace of the story in places is a bit weird, but it’s a free book and quite honestly, I think it would even be worth paying a bit for. It’s pretty good, I’d give it 3.5 stars.
I just downloaded my first Meghan Hart book, Dirty. I’m looking forward to it. I’ve had my eye on it for months but I didn’t want to pay a bunch for it!
Maryse, I hope u love Painted Faces as much as I did. I am still on a high from this book. I so let out a squeel when I saw your quote from my fb post. :-O Happy reading! ♡♡♡

I cried and cried, but was still happy at the end.
The Way We Were was on tv tonight. Does anyone remember which romance novel on which the characters watched this movie over and over again? It is driving me crazy that I cant remember!
Just finished Hardball. Soo good – you will love Nate!! Must read!
