I may have also admitted it in the past, but I’m going there again because The ENTIRE HARRY POTTER SERIES has been bundled and… once upon a time, the bundle was on sale. WAS. <— LOL! I’m glad I got in on it, when I did. *phew*
Mind. Blown. One clicked… and guess what? I haven’t read ’em. EVER. Not a single one. Oh yes, I’ve watched the first few movies and thought they pretty darn great but I’ve been told, the series is a MUST READ.
Tessa: Maryse, seriously, find a way to read Harry Potter. That series is the one series I still smack my head for not mentioning in my favorites. (It has the number one spot) I’ve read the series so many times, I had to get them in hard back form because my paperbacks were trashed. My mom loved them, and she HATED fantasy. Just… try it!
Anne: Tessa I love Harry Potter! I read the entire series once a year
Tessa: Just don’t watch the movies first. I can’t stress how badly they screwed up book three.
bev: If I were to rec a ya series it would 100% be Harry Potter. What JK R created is just magic, really nothing like it. The books grow with the characters becoming darker and richer. Those books just pure love. …If I could go back and read HP….. I remember when those books release days were beating opening weekends at the box office. And I’ll say kicks Twilight’s a$$ when it comes to world building, writing, and characters. And humor! I will say they get more grown up and darker as the books go on. This series left me ugly crying a few times. Not all about romance but there. The friendships though, perfect.
lucy: i think the first book i really remember reading was the first harry potter book and the rest from then on!! loved how magical those books where!
Yousra: if I was to single one out, I would definitly turn to the book that opened my eyes to a world of wonder, a world I have been roaming for so long, and that would be Harry Potter, from the amazing JK Rowling )
Amy: Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone – it really began my love of reading and introduced me to some lifelong friends through the online fandom.
Mindi: My favorite, go to book is Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows–I read the entire series every year!
Chrissy: My favorite book of all times had to be the Harry Potter Series. I couldn’t wait till the next book came out and remember rushing to the store to buy them the first day. I loved the movies as well (because of the books) and remember feeling so sad when the last one ended…like “what will I look forward to now”. Good old HP.
Kimbau: I have read and re-read that series so many times and I just love the final book in the series. I used to read constantly in my youth but then I got away from reading for enjoyment as I went through high school and college- HP series really brought me back to reading for me again.
Tyna: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows. I’ve read it at least 8 times and I’m still on the edge if my seat every time. Best end to a series I’ve read as of yet.
WHOA. Okay I’m definitely missing out. Yep! I ONE CLICKED!!!
Who else wants to admit they haven’t read these yet? Come on!! I can’t be the only one. Please? LOL!!! 😛
I read all these with my son (who is now grown and married!) and they were fantastic! We stood in line together at an actual bookstore waiting for the new releases each time. Great memories. They’re a fun adventure and I would encourage you to read them all. Have fun! 😀
Harry Potter is my to go answer to the impossible question of “What’s your favorite book” (how do you choose???) just because it was such a big part of my childhood. I read every book countless times and every time, it feels like coming home.
You’re going to have fun Maryse and I can’t wait to see what you think of them.

I tried reading the first book Maryse and just couldn’t get into the whole Harry Potter craze.
Have never managed to sit thru an entire movie yet either…..I always have good intentions but never last.
Its actually a relief to know some else hasn’t read them either.
Funny side note…..a few years before the books came out I picked Harry as my boys name. Harry Porter….had a ring to it.
Thank goodness I only had a daughter because that poor kid would been the butt of a million Harry Potter jokes.

Maryse, you and I are in sync once again. Well, kinda. I read the first book many, many years ago to my daughters (now 22 and 20). Since I did ‘voices’ when I read the book to them, it kinda freaked them out (they must have been just a wee bit too young). Then, years later I intended to read the series since EVERYONE was on the Harry Potter Bandwagon. I started again with the first book and made it all the way to NOT finishing the second book. Although I don’t remember much, I remember being kinda bored. Never got beyond it. And, haven’t seen any of the movies either. But, I just oneclicked this bundle and have decided to complete this series this year. My friend, Val, will be thrilled. She’s been trying to get me to read this for years. I’m looking forward to it. I LOVE this kinda stuff so I hope I can get beyond second book. I’m told second book is the least favorite of many and that the books become more ‘adult & darker’ as it progresses. We shall see. Stupid Barnes and Noble still had the complete bundle priced at more than $50. So, thrilled that you alerted me to this super sale! I’m in!
LOL Yvette! I’m thrilled too, ’cause within hours, the deal was done… but I got in on it! 😀

Lisa I’m with you. I read the first installment when it came out many years ago and while I could appreciate it and I do love fantasy and paranormal fiction I didn’t really get into it. I’ve watched a couple of the movies and tried to read a couple more books but never really got into it. Not to take anything away from the series…if it could enthrall so many fans more power to it.
