I’m giving away the first two books of The Fifty Shades Trilogy, but!!! These are copies from the first publisher… *gasp*!!! VERY COOL!!

December 17, 2015 By Maryse 163 Comments

These are the ones I’m giving away!!! Maybe you’ll win ’em?

BREAKING NEWS UPDATE – Dec 18th 2015!!!! My dear friend Natasha from https://natashaisabookjunkie.comΒ has THE THIRD book from this original publisher and is donating it to this giveaway!!!

*SQUEEEEE*!! Thank you SO MUCH Natasha. πŸ˜€ Now the giveaway has officially been upgraded to the complete trilogy!!

She says:

Natasha’s copy that she is adding to this giveaway! Now the giveaway is for the original complete trilogy!! πŸ˜€ Thank you Natasha!

“If you’re missing the third book, I’m happy to gift you my extra copy,Β Maryse. It’s the one that I first read and a few of my friends too so it’s not “new”, but it’s still impossibly hard to find these days.”

Oh… this? This is just a fun little giveaway. πŸ˜‰

I know… many of us already HAVE the print copies of our belovedΒ Fifty Shades of Grey. I know it.

But… did you guys know that before it got picked up by Random HouseΒ and went MASSIVE, it was actually printed by a smaller publishing company? They had a few small print runs of the trilogy, in various quantities, and from what I can tell (through research online), I have found us the first edition, but I believe a second print run, before it went the way of BIG-TIME “traditionally published”.

Now don’t “quote” me on this 100%, as I’d love for someone to point me to a proper collector’s guide of what is what, print-wise, with these, but I think I’ve got it right. πŸ˜€

And you know… a die-hard fan that collects paperback (or hard covers) of their favorites will definitely appreciate an “early” print run, from a small publisher, of a larger-than-life best seller, right? I know I’m STOKED that I found these. Just look at the size difference!!!

Now MY next step will be to get my copies signed… Eeeeep!

But! I have one set (one of each) ofΒ Fifty Shades of GreyΒ andΒ Fifty Shades DarkerΒ that are theΒ The Writer’s Coffee ShopΒ Publishing House edition – the original publisher of this trilogy and I’m giving it away to one lucky reader here!!!

Now for the giveaway!!

These are the ones I’m giving away!!! Maybe you’ll win ’em?

HowΒ to enter for a chance to win?Β Just leave a comment belowΒ and let me know your favorite, most coveted book prize (already in your collection, or that you want badly), and by 10pm EST, Sunday December 20th 2015, I will randomly selectΒ oneΒ winner for this giveaway.

The winner will be contacted and will have 48hrs to respond with a mailing address, so if you are picked, do not delay or you will lose your chance.

Open to U.S. only however ALL are welcome to comment. :D!!!

Unfortunately, I don’t have any coveted book prizes. However, Fifty Shades Trilogy was what made me a bookahalic! I have read endless amounts of books ever since I’ve read these. My husband MADE me buy a kindle because I was spending crazy amounts of money on paperback books! Whoops! Lol!! I did borrow out the first book to a friend and never got it back. πŸ™ so I currently don’t have the complete series anymore. I would love love to win these books because they will FOREVER be in my brain!!!!

I have so many that have been gifted to me by authors I’ve worked with on that certain book, and I treasure all of those. I think the one book I most treasure of an author I didn’t help is the special signed 25th Anniversary leather-bound hardback of Outlander my husband gave me for Christmas a few years ago. I was lucky enough to see Diana Gabaldon in Iowa last December and she personalized it to me! Claire and Jamie hold a special place in my heart! (As do Christian and Anastasia so I’d really love this set too!)

My most coveted and prized item is a first edition of Louisa May Alcott’s Little Woman. I was remarkably lucky and found 2 almost dirt cheap at Goodwill. I thought I was being pranked but they’re legit!!

Oh Wow Maryse. All 3 of my 50 Shades books were purchased a long time ago by The Writer’s Coffee Shop. I didn’t even realize it until I read this! Don’t enter me in your contest, but good luck everybody! I’m pretty sure this series started many of us on our reading journey & what a great time it’s been!!!!

I am obsessed with reading and have plenty of books and E books that I love including a new version of fifty shades but honestly whenever I buy a book I get the cheapest version because I would rather spend my money on my children than me so I don’t have any amazing book prize possessions. I would love to be able to have these though to have something special for me. The is a great giveaway. Thanks for the opportunity to win them.

My most Favorite book that was given to my by an author is Take a Chance by Abbi Glines. She had this time period where you could send her your books via mail and she would sign them and send them back. I only had a few of her books cause I had just recently found her in the book world. I was loving her books so much, they are really great! Anyways I wrote her a little letter saying thank you for writing the stories and being so kind and signing my books. She sent me Take a Chance along with my books she sent back. It was before the book was available. I was unbelievably excited, not only did I have my first ever books signed by an author but I had an advanced uncorrected proofs book signed by an author. That is why it is my favorite book. Sorry this is so long you probably didn’t want the whole story πŸ™‚

I haven’t ever won a paperback. But because my Friends love me they have sent me two KA books
They know I love her books. I think I don’t win paperbacks because I live in SA it’s probably expensive to mail here. But we also don’t get any Authors that I love here. Thanks for the chance.

My father’s favorite author was Louis Lamour. He owned every book that Lamour wrote. Years ago I stood in line for two hours for Mr. Lamour to autograph one of his books so I could give it to my Dad for Christmas. He was thrilled. He passed away four years ago and I became the keeper of his Louis Lamour library. I came across that special book and cried, but they were good tears. Loved my Dad so much.
