I forgot!! How did I forget to post this here? I announced the breaking news as it was released, on my Facebook page, and then I guess my brain thought I was done, and just went on day-dreaming about rock stars! Bad brain!!

Ok so here is the news, for all of you who don’t know yet, and for all of us who do, but want to read it again!

You thought Shadowfever was the end of the Fever series, didn’t ya? I know I did. ‘Cause Karen pretty much announced it that way. Oh sure, a trilogy spin-off was next on her agenda (YAY for that)!!

Karen Marie Moning said:

I’m currently working on a trilogy that features Dani, Christian MacKeltar, Ryodan, and the mysterious ‘Dancer,’ set primarily in Fever-Dublin. Each installment in the trilogy is a stand-alone mystery, however there are larger plot arcs unfolding in the background

And because of that knowledge, we were all, for the most part, appeased.

Well guess what!!!? She made an announcement that made SO many of us *squee* like mad. There will be TWO more Fever series books after the spin-off trilogy. REAL Fever books!! Mac, Barrons, Cruce – right back in the main story!

Exciting news: I’ve agreed to write two more books after that. Once the new trilogy is complete, I’m returning to the core story begun in the FEVER series, and will resume writing about Mac, Barrons, V’lane, Cruce, the Unseelie king, the concubine, the Song of Making.

Exciting!?? Exciting??? This is earth-shattering!! We had so many questions for the future of their world. We became so attached to the characters, and finally, finally when things got *real good* (ahem – you know who, or what I’m referring to ;) ) the series ended. Well… we get to go back, people!!!

Check out Karen Marie Moning’s full Facebook announcement here.

Oh and here is even more news! Although this bit of news is a few weeks old now ;) But in case you didn’t know… the Fever series will be made into movies. By DREAMWORKS!!!

As per her website:

8.22.11 I’m thrilled to announce that DreamWorks Studios has optioned the film rights to the Fever Series! I’m really excited and as soon as I know more, I’ll let you know. (Read about it here.)

All I can say to that is…. *squeeeeeeeeeeeeee* HELP ME! I’m too excited!!!

Don’t know what all the fuss is about? Then you mustn’t have read the series!! Check out the reading order guide: Karen Marie Moning – Fever Series Reading Order and get the Fever!

Oooohh, decisions decisions… I hope they choose wisely. I need a dark really amazing Barrons or it will be totally ruined for me. She has alot of good visuals of who her characters are and they’re all pretty good so hopefully with exec. producer status she will have say in casting.
