True Blood is the show that actually peaked my interest in the vampire genre. Thanks to it, I am fully emmersed in fun things to read! Here is some info I was able to find on the upcoming Season Two.
- The True Blood: The Complete First Season (HBO Series) will be released on DVD (May 19th 2009)
- The 2nd season of True Blood will air on June 14th 2009
- Apparently it will follow Charlaine Harris’s 2nd book in the series (Living Dead in Dallas). This should feature alot more “Eric” (yay!) as his character really starts to develop in this installment.
- Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin (Bill and Sookie) are a couple in real life (they met on the set of True Blood), so there should be some real sparks in the next shows.
- From what I can see on still shots from the upcoming series, Eric’s hair is short (I think I prefer the long-haired version, but we’ll see).
- There will be some deviations from the Book#2 (Jason is a popular character in the show, and will get alot of airtime with the anti-vampire religious cult).
- A new vampire will be introduced (Isabel) and will be played by Dexter’s Valerie Cruz
- The young vampire Bill made (Jessica) will also get some interesting airtime and we’ll learn more about who she is and where she comes from.
