That list is Yummylicious. I just finished Sick Fux…it came out yesterday, and I gobbled it up. It is definitely dark romance…all kinds of crazy. I 5 starred it. It certainly won’t be for everyone…but I’ve decided I have no soul, so I loved it. If one of your limits is sexual abuse of children, then beware, It’s not horrifically detailed, but it’s definitely there!

Fine! I’m reading my own dark book. 😛 Actually I am. I’m reading The Sect by Courtney Lane. I was reading it last night and I was on wonderous antihistamines, yet it was so twisty, I didn’t want to stop reading and stayed awake two hours after taking it! I had to read something light for a few minutes before falling asleep.
Lisa, they wouldn’t be so interesting if you didn’t have a soul. Now you might have a broken angst box or something like that. It happens to the best of us.
Oh, and the CA fire is about 100 miles from here and we can smell the smoke still. 0.0

Skunk…yuck! We have tons of those here (in my own yard too) and they are always spraying. It is so nasty. Its like once you get that smell in your nose, it takes weeks for it to go away.

“Tick tock,” I whispered to myself as my cheek moved back and forth along the oak surface of the desk. “Tick tock, tick tock, tick tock . . .” I kept my eyes on my pocket watch, pushing everything else out of my mind until I heard the bedroom door close.
Count me in as another Sick Fux lover! Brought out the vamp lover in me (no the book isn’t PnR–you’ll just have to read it to find out why!) Such a cleverly-written book. Putting aside the subject matter, which, of course, was disturbing, there wasn’t anything about it I didn’t enjoy. I’m really hoping she’ll write books about a couple of the other characters.

I need to read a pick me up book if any of you have recommendations. Our wedding venue burned down in the wildfires today as well as the hotel our guests stayed out 🙁 So many have lost homes it is heartbreaking.
LOVED the “UNLOVED” yup yup Only 11% in and I was bawling (“your skin and bones, Brynn… It’s the dead-fiancé diet) – OUCH my heart hurt but then I was like where bleeep @#*% did this just go and then I was like ok I kinda like it here and it’s safe cause I KNOW where this is going… it even had me laughing out loud 🙂 (sperm as “Tribute” -Bahahah) BUT then it was like – HUH. No I didn’t!!! I lurv it when a book surprises me like that!

Alright, The Sect was good, but right when it was getting to the point that I had to run away, it got “lighter”. Still dark, but it didn’t describe what happened on the metal table or anything else after that. I mean, no I’m not disappointed to not read her torture… but I kind of am. Reading that stuff just makes the angst go much higher, making me yell at the book, BEHAVE!
That said, still one twisted mind messery.
I am LOLing over all you Sick Fux lovers. To each her own. Although it’s not my cup of tea, it’s actually great to see you all owning what you like to read and not trying to pretend you wouldn’t read that kinda stuff. I think maybe since 50 shades became such a thing, a lot of people have become more out and proud about their book tastes, whereas before FSOG more people tried to pretend they were ‘above’ that kinda thing. Such tosh.

Maryse, on my amazon (australia) the date for Roomies has been pushed back to 5 Dec :/ Oh well, hopefully that just means it’s gonna be a better book, cos (to my shock) I was a little disappointed in the last Christina Lauren one, TTYTT. (Dating You Hating You). Oh well. here’s hoping Roomies is back to the good stuff.
