I tried with sunglasses because everywhere was sold out of glasses, but that didn’t work. lol Little dude’s school had glasses though, so he got to see it. He asked if there would be one last night too. I guess he really thought it was cool.
Alright, saw that Mafioso book by Terri Anne Browning, and bought the first one right away. I didn’t know she decided to start writing mafia books. π I get my Abbi Glines books from the library so that’ll have to wait until they get it in. *shrugs* 11 dollars for a book I’ll only read once seems steep.
Now, that dark fae book… I looked it up and each book is by a different author, so I went and got the first of the series because, fae!
Muscle Memory by Stylo Fantome just went up for pre-order. Aug. 28th is the release date.

Welp I felt really good cos I reduced my tbr by *1* by finishing my August pick-for-me GR challenge book. But, um, that’s only 1…… Yep Leslie, like so many of us, I’ve got the same addiction……. but I love it!! I know we’ve talked about this before, but for me the WORST THING about the apocalypse wouldn’t be flesh-eating zombies. It would be if I couldn’t recharge my kindle!!!!! Let’s invent some solar recharger or something, just in case……

I started Drunk Dial yesterday, and while I liked the beginning, I’m now at 50% and just not feeling it as much as I’d like. It’s cute, kinda YA if you ask me, even though they are in their mid-20s. Tessa, how are you liking it?

Cheryl, I loved Frayed Silk but ended up giving it 4 stars. There were a few parts that I just had to “go” with, but that wasn’t hard to do because the angst was fantastic.
Jean, it was cute but nothing that made me say wow. I’ve read better from her.
Blur/Forget… *grabs chest* GAH! So many emotions! You see why I was pushing you to read the second book? The first was good, but it’s a set up for the second that just tears through your emotions. *starts singing the song he sang to her* *sniffles* Big coincidence, as I was reading that part, the song came on irl. Insane, right?
Speaking of tear jerker… Thicker Than Blood. What… The… Heck! I had to stop reading it to read a light book. (A mafia book, but it’s Terri Anne Browning. It’s still light.) I swear, one more death, and I’m hijacking Manny and keeping him!
Jean about The Wild? I didn’t rate it because I read it purely for my own curiosity and didn’t expect it to be my thing going it. I’d say kudos for shocking the heck out of me. I could hardly put it down because I **needed** to see what happened at every turn, and thus, didn’t even skim. Defying her Mafioso is good Jean! It’s light for a mafia book, but sweet. I’m not getting as much angst as I usually get from her, but that’s okay. I think, reading this one, the one mentioned above will be far more angsty. I’m good with lack of angst, because, you know… Death book up there.
R, I 4-starred The Wild because I really thought the writing made it unputdownable. I was really pissed at the end of Push/Pull I will say that! And I still haven’t read the “C” books yet….but I want to and I have the whole series downloaded already!

Attention Marmy lovers, whose angst just can’t get angsty enough, I’m reading an ARC of The Man I Thought You Were by Leah Mercer, and son of a biscuit eater, I have had a lump in my throat since the first page. Just a brief summary – they have a really good marriage and her husband just comes home one day and tells her has to leave, and he does just that – no clothes, no phone, he just leaves and tells her not to look for him. No explanation. But you get his point of view and soon find out why…and the angst just dogpiles on, one thing right after another. Yeah, it’s a little over the top, NO ONE would do those kinda things, right? RIGHT????? It still hurts…and I love it!!!

Thus was a part of Marissa Honeycutt’s warning at the beginning of her book: My bad guys are bad, meaning theyβre not nice. Meaning they do things that might make you uncomfortable. Or puke. Or have nightmares.
So far it’s been a day of kid carting and Dr’s appts. Never a dull moment, RME. I don’t have a FLT… I’m kind of… hesitant on what I want for this auspicious occasion. I need a 5. LOL! I think everyone should read a 5 on their birthday, right?
