And I know what you mean about reading two long-ish books back to back like that, especially when they are angsty and emotional…I went through that with Bad Romeo and Broken Juliet, but they were SO worth it. Yes, that is me dropping a subtle hint there. 😉

Misconduct, Watch Me Fall and Forgetting August all look like must-read-soon books, but Oblivion is soooooooo tempting just sitting there looking pretty in my library, and I HAVE to know what “that” part is that JA is talking about! Oh man, it’s gonna be fun in Daemon’s head…

I’m hanging back on the BDB spin offs for the moment. I fell out of love with the last couple of BDB and I’m not sure if I’m ready to jump back to that world yet 🙁 Anyone else feel that way?

Theresa I can’t decide whether to start Oblivion (with over 1,000 pages) or start Blood Kiss. I may go with Blood Kiss simply because I’m frustrated with the Oblivion “songs” not working on my Kindle app. The Blood Kiss synopsis sounds really good. I reminds me of the early(er) BDB. Does it have that same feel?

Fabi, I think so. It had an intense section and then it is playing out as a love story. No lessor and fighting in the streets yet. But has a back story goiing with one of the brothers and his mate – not sure where that is headed. I think this is about breaking down the class barriers.
Not familiar with Obviolion, but i’m enjoying Blood Kiss. It was a good book waiting tor the Beast next year. Still a Ward lover but I dropped Laurell Hamilton which was at one time a great story line. Also still with Lara Adrian, Kresley Cole if that gives you where my head and tastes are.

Sweet Ruin is my next read. I like military/security romance as well. I loved callie hart’s Blood and Roses but Rogue was short and kind of a disappointment. Thought it was rushed.

Fabi, I haven’t tried the songs yet. Actually, I haven’t even opened it yet as I haven’t had a lot of reading time the last few days, and I want to finish God-Shaped Hole first. If that one isn’t too emotionally draining then I want to read the two books Maryse just read (The Man I Love and it’s sequel), but if I’m wiped out from GSH then I’ll crack open Oblivion for a dose of some hot alien. 😛

Jean! I can’t wait for you to read Bad Romeo and Broken Juliet!! The only grumble (and I use that word hesitantly) I had is that the two books together feel more like one looooooong book, but the way the story unfolded by jumping between past and present with heartache and angst in both time periods was FABULOUS!!!! I was getting frustrated with how long it took to get to the gut punch of the past portion, but holy moly was it worth it when I finally DID get what I was wishing for. 😀

Sofia, I think the same thing has been mentioned before about the last few books in the BDB series. 😕 I’m behind on that series, but hearing those things doesn’t make me antsy to get back to it. What would I do without y’all here to give a heads up??

OMG Jean, I was about to freak out on you over Gravity! I thought you meant the one where she walked in on her husband in THEIR BED with another woman while he was banging the woman like a Salvation Army drum. I flipped out over that one ’cause I was so p!ssed over how everything unfolded in it. Whew! It’s not the same one. 😉

I haven’t read anything in two days because I’m too busy buying new books and can’t decide which of the new shinies should be next.

I’ve sat here staring at my Kindle for the last 15 minutes. Since I can’t decide between sci fi, PNR, contemporary, mm or YA, I may just go with Anarchy Found. That one sounds off-the-wall enough that it may just hit the spot.

I am a BDB fan, I agree… the last few books in the series haven’t been as amazeballs as the first. However, I am an addict like that, I have to know how it all ends… I am a V lover… yes, I realize there is a lot of Z addiction around here, but that’s alright, that just means that I have less of you to fight for V’s attention *giggle* So I did hit the one click button and buy Blood Kiss… I am really hoping to see my main man Vishous’s name in this book, because it makes me uber sad if I don’t, true?

Tracey – I think I love a lizard-man too! Wasn’t that an amazing book? Even though I thought I had it all figured out, it still blew me away. And his spines flicking constantly? I miss it already…. (One for the prophet, two….) 🙂

Ela and Grey…it’s Gravity by LD Cedergreen, not the Gravity by Sarina Bowen which Jean is reading. The one by LDC had the potential to be heart-wrenching but because of how she took some of the blame for HIS cheating as a way of coming to terms with it, it was completely ruined for me…as if her being stressed because of trying to get pregnant is a good reason for him to pollenate someone else’s garden. *eyeroll*

I feel like I need to say though that I feel this way only in books, and I don’t judge anyone in RL who chooses to stay with their spouse after that happens. Okay, leaping off my soapbox now…

I’ve only read A Hunger Like No Other (book 2 of IAD, right?) but it was GREAT!!! The scene where he finds her and is destroying cars (’cause he doesn’t know what they are) and tossing tables and chairs out of the way, and she feels sorry for whoever he is looking for and then realizes he’s coming straight at her…that was hilarious to me! And the Valkyries…I SO want to live with them. 😉

Alright ladies you got to help me. I can not remember the title of the book with the male escort as neighbor. She is a novelist I think. I read it because of this blog.

Amy, I read that the Bad Romeo series when it was a twilight fanfiction. SO GOOD!! LMAO about the drum comment. Brings up different kinds of memories from when I volunteered for the Salvation Army when I was a teenager. 😉

I will totally admit that I have a double standard *in books only* when it comes to cheating…if the h does the cheating I don’t end up hating her (usually I know going into the book that it is *possibly* going to happen) but if the H cheats and she goes back to him or stays with him, oh HELL NO! He is ruined for me and I won’t see him the same way, and I won’t be happy for her if they work it out.

I know, it’s twisted…but there it is.

AND! You wanna know what’s really messed up? If she cheats and he cheats as well, I will still turn against HIM only. That’s pretty bad, isn’t it?

Oh Amy. Girl after my own heart. I am right onboard with double (book) standards and cheating. If she cheats….meh….not winning points but it doesn’t really worry me. But if he cheats….grrrrr….I feel impelled to sharpen my claws..and he becomes completely ugly-wouldn’t go there if he was the last peen on the planet-ugly.

I loved Bad Romeo but I never got around to reading Broken Juliet.

The Lux series was amazing. Read em back to back not long ago. Keep having x-file Mulder and Scully flashbacks and half expected them to materialize at some point.

Cristina, I think many of us have had a problem with that feature. Be patient and make sure to check any filtering folders you have on your email client. It eventually works for most of us.
