HAPPY NEW RELEASE DAY!! It’s the last big one of the month, and it’s fully loaded! Like that one to the left, that us Me Before You: A Novel diehards have been anxiously anticipating!!!

BREAKING NEWS UPDATE!! MAX MONROE’S JUST WENT LIVE, TOO (FOOTBALL STAR ALERT)! Wildcat (Mavericks Tackle Love Book 1) ”I’m Quinn Bailey, quarterback for the New York Mavericks. Sports analysts predicted I’d break records and take my team all the way. But no one predicted this. And just like the other team, I never saw it coming…” ➔➔➔

But that’s not the only awesome looking one. There are SO many that I want to start right now. Plenty to choose from and all sorts of romance genres…

In fact, these gave me an extra-hard blurb jolt! :D ➔ The Upside to Being Single (OMG this one sounds so good and sooooo freaking funny!!! She flashes her boobs and a guy at Mardi Gras and figures it’s fine ’cause she’ll never see him again, and then he shows up as her new boss. BAAAAHAHAHA!!! YES!!) :P  The Medics (actually that’s in the recommendations section, but it’s a bully book!!), Still Me: A Novel (’cause ME BEFORE YOU, that’s why!!! :D !!!), A Secret Splendor (latest by Sandra Brown, and he’s grieving his wife and then he meets her… but she’s got a secret!!), After Care (they’re over 40, she’s a single mom, and he’s a band manager…), A Crack in Everything (L.H. Cosway’s latest and it sounds full-on like her signature intensity!! “I had no idea that one day he’d build an empire from what we started together. But before that, there was love and happiness, tragedy and epic heartbreak… My name is Evelyn Flynn and I’m going to tell you about the crack in everything.” The Silver Cage by Anonymous (any book by “Anonymous” has my attention and this is an M/M romance that made some CRY HARD!!! OH MY!!! It’s in the recommendations section too!) and Indecent Exposure (Tessa Bailey’s latest in her sexy-cop series and I went crazy for book #1. It made my best of 2017 list, so I’m excited about this one!!!) YAY ME!!! YAY US!!!

Happy tuesday!! I can’t be first, can I?

Cheryl January 30, 2018 at 7:42 AM

Wow, ok *drops glitter bomb and goes to work*

Maryse January 30, 2018 at 8:28 AM

LOL!!!! :)

Good morning and happy “first” Cheryl!!!

Leslie M January 30, 2018 at 8:50 AM

Good morning!

I am slightly crabby because I finished Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. Those who read it, I am not crabby for the reason you probably think I am. But I need to vent about it and can’t do it here because spoilers.

*runs off to goodreads to vent*

Tasha J January 30, 2018 at 9:11 AM

Blood Sisters by Jane Corry (also wrote My Husband’s Wife) also released today.

I can’t wait to read a book again! My list is huge, I even have a cpl really good ones that came in the library I haven’t picked up. I’m in a major funk right now. Not even with reading, just life in general so it makes it hard for me to focus on a book, I think.

bev January 30, 2018 at 9:45 AM

Oh no. Did I infect you Tasha?

Want to watch a movie about zombies?

The Wedding Guest landed on my kindle. One of my pre ban pre-orders. I hope it lives up to the buzz.

Maryse January 30, 2018 at 9:47 AM

I’m feeling crabby today, too. *sigh*

Maybe it’s the full moon? We’re morose.

*puts up the blankie fort*

bev January 30, 2018 at 9:53 AM

My poor little Lucys. You need a snoopi for a kiss on the nose.

Honesty, yesterday was exhausting and not looking forward to today.

bev January 30, 2018 at 9:55 AM

Snoopy.

Should we all dance it out?

https://youtu.be/0G8XH4WDxP4

Leslie M January 30, 2018 at 10:05 AM

Bev, that is actually how I dance, so its perfect. ;)

bev January 30, 2018 at 10:13 AM

Lol.
They look like they have such fun when they do it.

I am sorry that some of us are already having a hard start to the week.

Maryse January 30, 2018 at 10:27 AM

LOL, me too!! :P

Jean January 30, 2018 at 10:38 AM

I’m crabby today too….. *grumbles good morning*

Tasha J January 30, 2018 at 10:44 AM

Must be the moon then, you’re safe Bev. ;) My hormones are outta control and the moon must be the cause. Bc boys aren’t supposed to make me crazy, that spot’s reserved for the girl.

Amy January 30, 2018 at 10:50 AM

Dang ladies…are our cycles all synced or something? ‘Cause there is a lot of grumpiness going on right now. :( At least it looks like we have some potentially funny stuff up there! *passes out peppermint mochas to everyone* <——— because I stocked up on peppermint creamer over the holidays ;)

A Crack in Everything is MINE! Well, after I am no longer Unloved and out of Ryan’s Bed. *snort* I’m a dork.

Jean January 30, 2018 at 11:05 AM

Haha Amy! Get out of Ryan’s Bed!

Tessa January 30, 2018 at 11:11 AM

Tasha, it depends on the age of the boy. lol Little dude is 12. ‘Nuff said.

Amy, I wish I’d done that, but the last time I went, they were out of SF peppermint creamer. Borderline diabetic, so I avoid sugar when I can, and they only had regular! *sighs*

Tessa January 30, 2018 at 11:25 AM

Oh and I got Jennifer Armentrout’s book. I had it on pre-order. :)

I started Thrall by Carina Cook yesterday. I was so tired I fell asleep reading it, but this morning, I went to read and just was kind of bored. I don’t think it’s the book though. I think it’s because I literally fell asleep reading the thing and didn’t really absorb the 10-15 pages. lol

Maryse January 30, 2018 at 11:27 AM

I’m still loaded in Peppermint creamer too!!!! :D YAY US!!! LOL!

Maryse January 30, 2018 at 11:28 AM

*snort*

I say CLEVER, Amy.

A dork?

I think NOT. :P

Amy January 30, 2018 at 12:45 PM

THANK you. *giggle*

Should I have worried about being judged here for my goofiness?

I think not. ;)

Amy January 30, 2018 at 12:48 PM

We need to find some SF peppermint creamer for Tessa ASAP.

And hey Jean! You already left Ryan’s Bed so I can hop in there if I want to! :P

Tasha J January 30, 2018 at 1:08 PM

*smacks forehead* I completely forgot The Hazel Wood released today too!! I’m never gonna get to all these books…

Grey January 30, 2018 at 1:11 PM

Omfg, I’m totally crabby… Scoot over, I need room in Ryan’s Bed… Crap. Cant. The book ban. More reasons to be pissy. *throws everything* (and is secretly grateful that I caught the typo before my autocorrect made me sound deranged) *grabs Godiva*

Tessa January 30, 2018 at 1:16 PM

Oh and grabbed The Medics because bully.

Tessa January 30, 2018 at 1:17 PM

Oh, and please do send. Right before Christmas, they recieved their last order, and someone ordered it wrong so they got double shipment of regular. I grabbed the SF last pumpkin spice and grumbled.

Amy January 30, 2018 at 1:34 PM

*raises foot and boots Grey out of Ryan’s Bed*

*winces*

Sorry friend, just trying to help. :?

Maryse January 30, 2018 at 2:36 PM

*giggles*

Jen C January 30, 2018 at 2:52 PM

Aaah, The Upside to Being Single really does sound like fun! I want in on that next.

I’m just reading Method 15/33 at the moment, about half way! Wow, this book is something else! Can’t wait to see where it goes from here.

I absolutely ADORED The Beau & the Belle. Such a lovely, well paced novel. Had me reminiscing about my teenage years, laughing at the pop culture references and swooning over the male lead. I love how Rachel can write romcoms without a single cringeworthy moment.

Diana January 30, 2018 at 3:28 PM

Okay ladies I need help ID’ing 2 books.
1. She’s the daughter of a rock legend & she falls in love with a rocker but her dad forbids their relationship. Her mom passed when she was young so she grew up on the road with her dad.

Kooloo January 30, 2018 at 3:44 PM

Jen Ccccccccc!!!!!!!
Method 15/33 was my find – I think
Right Maryse
Anyone I made ALL my friends/co-workers/cousins read it!!!
It got me out of a major book funk
I hope you lurv it like most of us here!
Well except our fearless leader – she who shall not be named heehee ;)

Kooloo January 30, 2018 at 3:47 PM

Elaloooooooo where are youuuuu
I miss you

Tessa January 30, 2018 at 3:52 PM

Diana, is her rocker boyfriend her father’s best friend?

Tasha J January 30, 2018 at 3:52 PM

Somehow my smoothie tastes like the pink medicine you get when your sick as a kid….not sure if I’m diggin that or not

bev January 30, 2018 at 4:00 PM

Um…you all are getting a little too close to each other up in here.

Tessa January 30, 2018 at 4:18 PM

Yeah, I figured with all this arguing, I’d wait to get into Ryan’s Bed. It seems a little full at the moment. :P

Cheryl January 30, 2018 at 5:28 PM

Grey, I am so CRABBY too. I think it’s the continuous flow of sick, whiny kids at work!! Lovely cold and flu season. *running jump into Ryan’s bed*

Maryse January 30, 2018 at 5:33 PM

You guys, it’s the super-moon tonight (or tomorrow?) which means it’s super-crab time. ;)

Now I don’t feel so bad…

Maryse January 30, 2018 at 5:36 PM

Wait wait!! I liked 15/33 very much!!!! :D

It was umm… another psych-thriller that had me cranky.

Jan January 30, 2018 at 5:36 PM

There were ten in the bed and the little one said ‘I’m crowded, roll over’. So they all rolled over and one fell out. There were nine in the bed and the little one said………

Maryse January 30, 2018 at 5:36 PM

Diana I remember that blurb not too long ago!

MichelleS January 30, 2018 at 5:43 PM

Love the title & cover of A Crack in Everything. Dublin? Sounds good. Coming of age? Sounds good. Maybe I’ll download the sample!

Well Played sounds complicated… hmmmm

What else is catching my eye up there? Gotta admit, The Silver Cage has me more than intrigued.

Cheryl January 30, 2018 at 5:59 PM

Thanks Maryse. Now I can blame my extreme crankiness on the super-moon!! ;)

MichelleS January 30, 2018 at 7:04 PM

Super Blue Blood Moon! Gasp! Eat cookies or read ? I surely don’t want to watch the State of the Union Address.

bev January 30, 2018 at 8:17 PM

I’d rather watch a train full of zombies.

Kooloo January 30, 2018 at 8:33 PM

Be or Mar
What was that Asian horror flick that takes place in a school and the students have to kill in order to survive
I saw it years ago and want to watch again

Kooloo January 30, 2018 at 8:34 PM

Mar which other Psych one – I can’t remember
Did you review it before Method

Grey January 30, 2018 at 8:48 PM

I’m between books at the moment. I’m trying to decide what to read. *grabs Manny, and ALL of the wine and darts into the blankie fort*

bev January 30, 2018 at 8:51 PM

I watch very little horror. Like none really, lol. I have watched a few seasons of WD and am a fan of Gong Yoo…so that’s why this one.

Nay January 30, 2018 at 8:55 PM

Happy Tuesday! Just now peeking in and I’m cracking up seeing how crabby y’all are because I wrote a crabby review on GR today. Even apologized for being crabby! lol

Why are we all crabby??

Gonna read the rest of the posts…

Nay January 30, 2018 at 9:04 PM

Just saw the moon explanation. That works! The moon can do weird things! Explains why my dog has been acting strange.

bev January 30, 2018 at 9:08 PM

I really feel like he is right and he shouldn’t take her to Busan.

Kooloo January 30, 2018 at 9:16 PM

bev January 30, 2018 at 9:19 PM

Yes, take the lid to Vegas.
Think I just met Maryse’s crush.

bev January 30, 2018 at 9:27 PM

Gong Yoo you did not just do that.

Tessa January 30, 2018 at 9:38 PM

Bev, little dude needs that. lol

bev January 30, 2018 at 9:52 PM

Needs what? Vegas.

Just do not take him on a train.

bev January 30, 2018 at 9:56 PM

You know what is freaking me out the most?

Maryse was crying.

bev January 30, 2018 at 10:01 PM

Run Gong Yoo. Run.

There is Maryse’s bad ass. His wife too.

I can’t really root for GY yet but I still love his voice.

bev January 30, 2018 at 10:11 PM

Seriously she is awesome.

“Get your ass over here” — LOL.

And he’s going to.

Tessa January 30, 2018 at 10:26 PM

He needs a place where you pay for someone to argue with you. He’d get it out of his system. :)

bev January 30, 2018 at 10:26 PM

Damn it.

Tessa January 30, 2018 at 11:16 PM

That type of movie, huh Bev?

bev January 30, 2018 at 11:20 PM

If it was a romance book so many different ways it would of went.

Really good….but…you know…

Damn it.

BTW. If we are ever in a zombie apocalypse we are killing that guy. You know that guy. May sound cold but he goes first.

Tessa January 30, 2018 at 11:39 PM

lol Like Drive where it was awesome, but I liked the other guy better?

And that guy? Huh. So many to allow to go first. Would it be considered murder if we broke said guy’s leg and he just HAPPENED to be attacked by zombies while trying to get away?

JulieO January 31, 2018 at 2:49 AM

Ladies,
Please let me know when Ryan’s bed isn’t busy because I would like to hop in also.

Robyn January 31, 2018 at 2:53 AM

I just finished a marathon read of The Pebble Jar. I don’t remember who suggested this book, but THANK YOU!!! If you haven’t read this beautiful, heart wrenching, coming of age story, you really need to. I absolutely could not put it down! Every emotion was explored. I don’t want to give anything away, but even I sobbed like a baby. Read this book if you want your heart to be touched!

bev January 31, 2018 at 9:53 AM

Tessa listening to 90s music and thinking of you.
This one’s on now. So handsome. Loved this album when it came out.

https://youtu.be/Zzyfcys1aLM

Tessa January 31, 2018 at 11:08 AM

:D I absolutely LOVE that song. His voice is (let’s be honest) so much better than his dad’s. I have that on my main playlist and writing playlist both. In fact, that song was the main reason I bought the 99 cent 90s album off of Google. lol I figured, no matter what was on there, I was getting a deal to get One Headlight for so cheap.

Though, not sexy to me. :P I like the opposite type of body type. I like men with broad shoulders.

Jean January 31, 2018 at 12:54 PM

FLT: F&*king Malibu. (Rock King by Tara Leigh)

So, up there…yep, that’s my First Line Wednesday! LOL!

Grey January 31, 2018 at 1:02 PM

last call to sign up for the challenges! *throws glitter and fairy dust*

Diana January 31, 2018 at 1:52 PM

OMGosh idk what happened with my phone, it deleted like 60% of my original post & wouldn’t let me respond to any posts. It’s prob trying to force me to update. Ugh. I meant to add some additional info & spoilers:

Her famous rocker dad is a single dad bc her mom died when she was young, so she grew up on the road with him. The love interest is younger & they instantly connect when his band is opening for her dad. Her dad freaks & but forbids their relationship….and it gets good! I can add spoilers, but I don’t want to ruin it for someone who wants to read!

Tessa: no, but do you have a book like that? I’m so in!
Grey: nope, but I downloaded it. So thanks!!!

Book #2 is a h who falls in love with a married H. He is in a marriage in-name-only (they got married when they were young bc she was prego, but lost the baby) but once his wife sees him getting happy she causes trouble. I THINK she owns a bakery & he’s a cop. NOT to be confused with the book not that long ago where the h owns a bakery, is on the run (she tells everyone her family is dead), and the H is a cop/fireman/something. He’s super sexy, Italian (?) & has a large family.

Anyway, I read this book YEARS ago & I remember it ended on a bit of a cliffhanger & every once & a while it drives me nuts bc I can’t find it to see how it all ended! Does this sound remotely familiar to anyone?

bev January 31, 2018 at 3:08 PM

I love his dad though. He also has more songs I love than his son.

But I did love that album and his cover of Heroes, though different than the original.

Amy January 31, 2018 at 3:39 PM

Diana…is it Sharing You by Molly McAdams? Your book sounds A LOT like the blurb for that one.

LOL Jean! Great first line though. ;)

Amy January 31, 2018 at 3:49 PM

Ladies, I just had the most hilarious conversation with a 74-year-old man about his Tinder dating mishaps.

Like women showing up in wheelchairs.

Or with walkers.

Wanting only a hookup.

Or being twenty years older than their pictures.

Or taking off a wig to scratch her head. At dinner.

I seriously laughed until I cried my makeup off.

I love the kind of people I meet at my job. :P

Tessa January 31, 2018 at 4:58 PM

Diana, reading the blurb It sounds like it’s not a rocker thing, but I could have sworn it was: Torn by Carian Cole. My review says DNF, but it has nothing to do with the book, just my own issues.

I love that, at 74, he’s still on Tinder. :D Also, the women only wanting a hook-up. :) Both are awesome.

Amy January 31, 2018 at 5:51 PM

Oops Diana, I meant to say Sharing You sounded like the second book, not the rocker one.

I know, Tessa…and he wasn’t pervy at all, just a young-at-heart guy with a great personality. :D

Tessa January 31, 2018 at 7:33 PM

Oh, the book seemed really good. I was seriously bummed. I knew going in, but I still tried. The writing was seriously good, and if not for the fact that he was too close (non-sexual) when she was a kid, I’d have been good.

Cheryl January 31, 2018 at 8:03 PM

That’s my goal for when I’m 74. ;)

Grey January 31, 2018 at 8:23 PM

Bwahahaha! Tinder at 74, that’s Mack *GRAND* Daddy, right there! I wanna be this guy, when I grow up… except that I’m a girl, but whatever, you all know what I mean, LOL!

Grey January 31, 2018 at 8:32 PM

bev, I’ve been on a serious music binge. Serious. Music. Binge. 90′s music actually, and covers. A lot of covers. Bad Wolves did an amazing cover of Zombie by The Cranberries, and all the proceeds that they raise, Bad Wolves is donating back into a trust for the children of the late lead singer of The Cranberries- Dolores O’Riordan.

Anyone up for 3 things?

bev January 31, 2018 at 8:35 PM

I only know their radio hits, but she had an awesome voice.

Sure. Start it off.

Grey January 31, 2018 at 8:48 PM

1. I had this AWESOME garlic pasta tonight that will have me repelling vampires for the next millennium.
2. I think I may call in sick on Monday. (Super Bowl-itis, anyone?) Is it bad that I’m planning a sick day in advance?
3. I still haven’t picked a book… I was a bit nervous the book slump of 2017 was gonna follow me, but then I remembered the randomizers *ahem* Kooloo and/or Fabi were gonna do the draws today…LOL, so I’ll have new books to read soon!

bev January 31, 2018 at 8:54 PM

1. I’m eating gummy bears.
2. I was walking to the soundtrack of The Barenaked Ladies One Week from the 90s playlist.
3. Next movie I want to watch is Columbus with John Cho.

Grey January 31, 2018 at 9:12 PM

bev…. Tessa… Ela…. did you guys know there’s a new book by Anne Bishop coming out, a 6th in The Others series? Lake Silence? I had no idea…

Tessa January 31, 2018 at 9:47 PM

First off, yes, Super Bowl-itis is a thing. lol A lot of people take that day off as a sick day. :)

Two, yep. It’s set in the same world, but it’s a different area. The little snip she gave as a hint has me going nuts.

Alright, now three things:
1. Anne Bishop, Patricia Briggs, and Karen Marie Moning are all releasing their book on the same day: March 6th. I will be poor after the sixth.
2. I got all the parts for my bike (different seat, ULock, reflectors) and now, I just have to put it together. You all, wish me luck. lol
3. I just jumped Ryan’s bed. He’s got to have a large bed, right? I mean, imagine how many people are in it currently.

Tessa January 31, 2018 at 9:48 PM
Maryse January 31, 2018 at 9:49 PM

Three things!

1.) I’m drinking sleepy time tea.
2.) I just bought 7 effects Olay moisturizer (fragrance free!!) because it’s been my holy grail for years.
3.) I also threw in a zip-up cable organizer that stores all the cables, chargers, plug-thingies, external drives, thumb drives, and even a pocket for a tablet (aka my new Kindle)! :) I love being organized.

P.S. Amazon makes buying WAY TOO EASY. And yet my life is also much easier because of them, so I can’t complain, I suppose.

Maryse January 31, 2018 at 9:52 PM

LOL AMY!!!!!!!! I’m glad he’s still spry enough to have a good time with it. ;)

Maryse January 31, 2018 at 9:55 PM

LOL bev!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes she RULES HIM and he LOVES her even with all his bad-ass gruffness. ;)

Maryse January 31, 2018 at 9:56 PM

bev you didn’t CRY??????????!!! *gasp*

I cried TWICE. And big BIG tears.

R. Renee January 31, 2018 at 9:56 PM

1. I’m going to San Fran in 9 days!!! Woop woop!!!!
2. I’m craving the heck out of some Red Hots right now.
3. I’m also craving cheeseburgers.

Tessa January 31, 2018 at 10:01 PM

Why San Francisco?

R. Renee January 31, 2018 at 10:14 PM

LP concert!! Woooo hoooo!! I’m just a little excited!

bev January 31, 2018 at 10:19 PM

No, but close. Really close.

I was going to be MAD if that one was the last man standing.

She totally ruled him. I love it.

Oh, the look on Gong Yoo’s face when he was holding his infant daughter. Gah.

bev January 31, 2018 at 10:21 PM

In one part though I kept thinking try going up and across instead of just through.

Fun, R! Are you going to eat a lot of good food?

R. Renee January 31, 2018 at 10:30 PM

I have no clue what’s happening other than the concert. It’s just been too busy to plan. Playing it by ear!

Tessa January 31, 2018 at 10:45 PM

It’s San Francisco. Stuffs. lol You can go to the pier, maybe Alcatraz is open that day, the park is pretty awesome, and I adore the little shops near the park. Just don’t go in the water. Currently, there is a rogue (or more than one, but probably not) sea lion biting people. Not deadly, but still! It looks like it hurts.

Here. Things that are going on that weekend are at this site. https://www.sftourismtips.com/san-francisco-events-in-february.html

Also, take a San Francisco trolly just to say you have. :) And the same with the Golden Gate Bridge.

Tessa January 31, 2018 at 10:47 PM

Oooh, it’s beer week and Sat. is Fanfest for the Giants. Oh and if it looks sketchy, avoid the area. Seriously. Some areas are really high priced and nice, and… others aren’t. Be Safe!

R. Renee January 31, 2018 at 10:56 PM

Thanks Tessa! I’m meeting up with 2 different friends (one F-M and the second M-W) who live there so that will help! I think we’re mostly just hanging out and doing girl stuff but some sightseeing–probably SF one day during visit #1 and vineyards one day during visit #2. I’m going more to see my friends than anything else. Oh and LP :D I’m definitely making my usual vacay spreadsheet out of your tips though–for whatever day we’re actually in SF.

Kooloo January 31, 2018 at 11:27 PM

xoxo

Big stupid ass snow storm here today – lots of cars in the ditch due to black ice. I love challenging driving in my 4WD SUV Rental – yup I just play my Hackers soundtrack and kick some Queensway highway yo-yo

Kathy Phelan February 1, 2018 at 1:00 AM

I lived in SF for 8 years. Go to Baker Beach, it is one of the best views of the Golden Gate. At night, it is amazing!

Jody February 1, 2018 at 2:12 AM

Grey you should check out Missio’s Zombie cover.

JulieO February 1, 2018 at 3:54 AM

Sounds like you need to make a Sonic cheeseburger run. One of my favorite things to do in San Francisco is ride the cable cars at night. Up and down the hills in the fog. Love it.

R. Renee February 1, 2018 at 9:08 AM

Robyn, I’m finally catching up!! It was probably me. I LOVED The Pebble Jar!! I’m so happy you did too! She’s about to release a new book, co-written by KA Hobbs, called To Where You Are https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/38122324-to-where-you-are, and rumor has it, Tom’s book is coming soon too!

Tasha J February 1, 2018 at 9:51 AM

Happy February 1st!!! So long January….hurry up spring. :P
I’m reading!! I have 2 days to finish this book before the library takes it back, a true procrastinators dream. Lol. It’s Fredrik Backman’s Beartown.

Tessa February 1, 2018 at 11:14 AM

Oh, and you’ll have to go to In and Outs and least once, just to say you have. And the vineyards need the tourist right now. That’s where one of the big fires was.

Ryan’s Bed was good. I refused to sleep last night until I finished it. Those last three lines really bring things into perspective, but I have to be honest. It gave me so many more questions that will never get answered. I mean, a LOT. I want a prequel from WIllow’s POV. lol

FLT:

R. Renee February 1, 2018 at 11:19 AM

We have In and Out here now and yumm! My problem is I only have about 2 days per friend. Friend #2 is definitely feeling the vineyards though! Friend #1 is vegetarian so In and Out might start sounding really good by the time I get to friend #2! :D

Jean February 1, 2018 at 11:48 AM

Tessa, that’s how I felt about Ryan’s Bed…..I need more answers!!

Tessa February 1, 2018 at 12:19 PM

lol Thankfully, most of the vineyards didn’t burn. Have fun with the wine tasting. :D

Jean, YES! And she said she’s not doing a follow-up. I am fine… (okay not really. I loved the book and could see a book with Kyle), but that doesn’t say no prequel. Though, would I read it? I THINK NOT! I’d just cheat and ask someone for a spoiler to answer my questions.

Tasha J February 1, 2018 at 12:21 PM

Ok, so now I’m reading a cookbook. My aunt has been working on a cookbook for years of my Grandma’s recipes and it’s here! But, it’s so much cooler than I thought. She passed 3 years ago, it’s like a real cookbook you’d find in a store, and there are 125 pages full of pictures, recipes, and stories not only about her life, but from all her grandkids’ memories. Ahh, I might cry!

Kooloo February 1, 2018 at 12:38 PM

OMG that’s such an amazing idea a Tasha!!!
Please keep me posted on Beartown it’s on my TBRL
xoxo

Jen February 1, 2018 at 12:40 PM

Hi Maryse – Quick heads up on a book that has a huge price drop today on Amazon. Just one-clicked on Wallbanger by Alice Clayton. Super Bargained price at $1.99. Read about on your blog a while back and thought I would let you know. Thx

Ooooooh, unanswered questions with Ryan’s Bed? This might be fun…I have love-hate feelings with that sort of book. Mostly love. ;)

HEY GUYS!!! Jellicoe Road is on sale for 1.99!!!

bev, help me out here…

Amy February 1, 2018 at 3:37 PM

Tasha, that is a beautiful. How thoughtful of your aunt to do that!

Tessa February 1, 2018 at 3:49 PM

Kooloo, damnyouautocorrect.com Have fun with it. :)

Yeah, but honestly, Amy, most of the questions aren’t answerable except as in a prequel. *sighs* The story was truly good. I can see how those last words happened. However, there is so much as a result that I’m questioning.

Jean February 1, 2018 at 4:02 PM

…..yep, what Tessa said…..unanswerable questions. I guess the author wants us to use our imagination. Amy, I can’t wait to see what you think of it!!

Jean February 1, 2018 at 4:10 PM

Tessa, I just sent you a private message on GR. I needed to get my thoughts out!

Tessa February 1, 2018 at 4:16 PM

Sent a reply. :)

bev February 1, 2018 at 4:17 PM

I’ve always wanted to try a dim sum meal so probably would do that over In and Out.

Seriously read Jellicoe Road. Now it made me cry. It is a bit confusing because the author just drops you in, but you know it was beautiful how it all unfolded. Plus, maybe nice that she is trusting us to catch up and figure it out. I promise. Read it.

Tasha J February 1, 2018 at 5:04 PM

It is awesome! You always hear about quilts or whatever that people have made, which I think is also cool, but we get books! And she was the best cook, I’ll never really need to look up a recipe again. So many of my favorites I’d forgotten about and new to me’s that I need to try. There’s even a cough syrup recipe in the back that has pop rocks in it. Lol, I didn’t even know they had those back then.

Amy February 1, 2018 at 5:06 PM

THANK you bev.

*whispers to bev* You see Tessa and Jean talking about PMing each other in front of us? Being all, “we’re having a private conversation and you guys don’t get to be a part of it.” Pffft…

Tessa February 1, 2018 at 5:47 PM

Oh, we want you to join in when you’re done. The last three words really did cause a huge twist.

MichelleS February 1, 2018 at 5:54 PM

3 things:
1. Alexa keeps randomly talking to me. It’s creepy. Big Brotherish.

2. I’m making pork tenderloin tonight & does anyone else think they look like a man’s you-know-what? Such variety in size & girth!

3. My Roomba keeps getting stuck under my sofa! What am I supposed to do about THAT?

Amy February 1, 2018 at 6:06 PM

“does anyone else think they look like a man’s you-know-what?” <——— yeah, if he’s a sea cucumber and freakishly huge. *snort*

bev February 1, 2018 at 7:09 PM

I don’t know what to do with any of that.

Cheryl February 1, 2018 at 10:44 PM

And wrapped… *giggles with Amy*

Tessa February 1, 2018 at 10:57 PM

Amy! I got to pick for Jean and gave her Half-Blood. I did warn her that Seth and Aiden are taken, though.

Kooloo February 1, 2018 at 11:08 PM

Ok I so did not think “The Day My Life BeganL by S Haven was my kind of book… huh maybe it was the cover… but boy oh boy was I wrong!
Emotional themes of high school bullying/violence, addictions, parental abuse, etc etc were involved….

BUT throughout this read I never felt weighed down from all the seriousness – mostly because the writing style and realism of the characters took me on a journey vs playing up the shock value.

Oh and I also was introduced to K-POP and my new favourite singer
INDILA. https://youtu.be/zq6JggRqMpY

Amy February 1, 2018 at 11:09 PM

Wrapped!! *giggles and leans into Cheryl*

Wait…

*sits up straight*

Jean is reading Half-Blood?!? SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!! Ohhhh I hope she reads the whole series…Apollyon and Elixir is when my love for Aiden was wholly and completely solidified for allllll time!!!

Damn, raspberry wine is the bestest…

I don’t like the new covers.

They’re not pretty.

And they suck.

You know what they suck?

Slimy pork loins.

Amy: that story made me lol & I had to share. And WOOHOO! I think it is! I went through a phase years ago where I read alll her books back to back. Thank you! It looks like it doesn’t have great reviews on goodreads. We’ll see what I think the 2nd time through.

Nikki: OMGosh I downloaded that Marianna Zapata blok right away!

Oh for the love of…I can barely WALK in heels like those, forget about dancing in them! I’m. Jealous. *snort*

Tessa! I didn’t know about that one!! *sigh* I loved sweet Deacon.

Diana…there have been PLENTY of books I have read and loved which didn’t have the best reviews on GR and Amazon. It’s all about how WE, ourselves, feel when we read them. ;) I’m glad it’s the one you were looking for!!

Wasn’t it the best? I was smiling so big when I read it.
