WEDNESDAY FINDS BREAKING NEWS UPDATE!!
Lookit what else we found! 😀
- Defaced: A Dark Romance Novel (The Monster Trilogy Book 1) by by Marissa Farrar <— DARK READ KIDNAPPED ALERT!!!! He’s a total recluse, and she’s got a phobia of being touched: “Lily Drayton has a phobia of being touched. Though she helps people externally with her skills as a laser therapist, she refuses to let anyone in, emotionally or physically. When Lily is kidnapped on the way home from work one evening, she discovers she’s not the only person who keeps themselves cut off from the rest of the world.“
- Set In Stone by Rachel Robinson <— NAVY SEAL HOTNESS ALERT! I LOVED book #1 like crazy, and here’s book #2 (about a different couple). YAY ME!! I totally one-clicked this super-bargain. (P.S. here’s my review of book #1)
- Breaking Him (Dante & Scarlett) (Volume 1) by R.K. Lilley <—- HEARTACHEY!! Yep. You guessed it. Super-bargain priced, and this series is also getting BIG LOVE from our reading crew. Like Tessa: “Finished Breaking Him. Yes, it ended on an incomplete note. Not as bad as T and D. Just, book done, unanswered questions, enjoy. *sighs* Yet I loved it so much. I’m invested big time. My heart aches for her. She’s such a character to adore and he is too, but MAN, my heart aches big time.” (and guess what? #2 is already out!!)
- Chocoholics Bundle by Tara Sivec <— HILARIOUS! I LOVED book #1 (hilarious and had me reading parts out loud and laughing my butt off) and now the entire series has been bundled at a bargain price. YAY US!!!
- Coto’s Captive (Zorn Warriors Book 5) by Lauren Dohner <— Laurann Dohner SCI-FI ALERT! THIS WENT LIVE just a few of days ago!
- Release (Hold Book 2) by Claire Kent <— JUST WENT LIVE!! It’s book #2 for that sci-fi dystopian one that I read a week or two ago. Remember the woman that ends up in a prison and has to find a man to protect her?! *gasp* Here’s #2. (my review of #1)
The list is ready… all the new releases, and OMG… something TOTALLY weird. Wicked Heart by Leisa Raven (author of Bad Romeo and Broken Juliet) is only coming out on May 17th… BUT!!!!!!! THE AUDIOBOOK IS ALREADY OUT!!! How’s that possible. Who cares? THAT IS SO COOL!! 😀 It’s like an early preview.. but in listening mode. 😉
What looks extra exciting to me? Well that one up there to the left, (Never Let You Go) ’cause now it’s a “complete duet” and it’s listed as a psychological suspense, and of course… the fact that it mentions “forbidden” has me all a flutter. *snort* 😛 And A Court of Mist and Fury (also one that I need to read #1 first, but I hear it rocked worlds, so I’m in!!). Sustained (okay that’s not a new one, but it’s super-bargain priced, and so many here loved it like crazy, so I one-clicked it), Last Mile (She’s an undercover cop, falling for the biker she’s investigating), Fighting Fate (Her ex-best friend is a famous MMA fighter, but she ruined everything… and he’s a changed man now), Spinning Out (football star falling for his best friend’s girl that is LIVING IN THEIR HOUSE!!!! YIKES!!!) and Blood & Rust (she’s a med student and she followed a mob guy into an alley, and got caught). *gasp*!!!
P.S. Let me know if I’m missing any or if you loved any (from this list or elsewhere).
P.P.S. Don’t have a Kindle? No problem! Amazon offers various free Kindle apps and a free Kindle Cloud reader for any and ALL of us to use. You can either use the free Kindle App for your smartphone, tablet, AND your desktop computer (just like you’re using a Kindle, but right through your web browser <— No need to download anything!)

Blood & Rust, Deception, Spinning Out, The Apartment, Die For You… All sound like excellent one-click possibilities for me!
*snort* “totes mcgotes intoxicated…”
City of the Lost by Kelley Armstrong was released today. It’s a weird crime detective type story.
Jillian Dodd’s Spy Girl just dropped to 99 cents from 5.99.
Oh thank you Tessa!! I need to add that now
Is it bad form if I add mine to the list?
Dex (Kinky Shine #1) is now live. It’s a rockstar romance novel. 🙂
*goes back into hiding*

Am I cool now???? 😀 YES!!!!!!!!!
Have you ever started a book and are totally embarrassed for the h?!? Yeah, I can use see the train wreck coming for her. *covers eyes*. But gotta say so far it is pretty ole good….Mr Perfect by JA Huss.
Clickety click!! So many good ones!!! I just finished Bounty by Kristen Ashley!!! Heavy sigh!! Love love her books!!! Every single one I have ever read just warms me up inside!! Deke!!!!!!! Always in the mood to read one of her books!!! Highly highly recommend this one!! Now onto Nero!!! Love those mafia series!!! Bought all 3 books!!
And BAM! It just hit the fan! Lovin it!
Maryse way cool!
Way waaaaayyyy cool:
Spinning Out was an immediate 1-click for me!
Jean, Spinning Out sounds amazing!!!! And she is a much-loved author!
The Game Plan (Game On Series Book 3) by Kristen Callihan is only 99 cents right now too! 1-clicked so fast
I didn’t enjoy Game Plan as much as books 1 and 2. Just didn’t connect with the characters as much. It fell a bit flat, for me. But there are lots of 5 star reviews, so obviously not everyone felt like I did. (Hey, from memory, I think Dex has a man-bun. Cute. Deke, anyone?) Loved books 1 and 2. highly recommend.
Great list Maryse , I want to read them all .
Sooooooooooooooooo…I’ve read all Bewitched and Bewildered books that are out and I’m having a terrible case of book fund 🙁
So I decided to go with Ladies Man but as we ALL know once in a book hangover YOU NEED something epic or KA! So we shall see if Ladies Man is epic???
Finished Mr Perfect by JAHuss and I must say….he is Mr Perfect!!!! LOVED it….shed loads of hottie hot scenes, with a total hottie, a fashion forward and connected + lovable h, and throw in a little bit of a backstory…
Add to its a standalone with a whole series to follow…MAN…I can’t wait to meet the rest of Mr Perfect’s crew!
Beautiful Liar, Fighting Fate, Court of Mist and Fury or Spinning Out….so many choices to name a few…
So I went with Jennifer’s April favorite (due to mood) When Nothing is All You’ve Got but Kirsty Dallas, and I’m seriously enthralled. It only has 15 reviews, but so far seriously good. Oh and don’t judge the cover. It makes sense but it looks ridiculous for a dystopian. :/
Sustained is a no-brainer at .99 cents! One-clicked Tapping the Billionaire- since everyone rec’ing it; Mister O; Spinning Out (we can buddy read Jean) ;).
The blurb to Beautiful Liar has me intrigued.
Still need to read The University Park series and now there is a book 5! Ugh!!
Court of Mist and Fury! I’ve been waiting patiently for this and let me tell you it is so intense and addicting! Could not put this down when I bought the Kindle version but also got the Target book version (because there’s a short story in it). No spoilers but ajdaljglajl;a aljladsklj gfad; my heart. Can’t wait until the next book by Sarah Maas.
Tessa I hope you like it!
I do so far! I’m at 64% and it’s extremely good and dark. It’s exactly what I was looking for.
*comes up for air*
Hi ladies!!! I am absolutely swamped right now with school work (thankfully I am completely done with work) but wanted to pop in and give y’all a bunch of hugs and love…I miss you guys!
Now to check out all the pretties up there…
And Maryse, it is most definitely wine-thirty. Most. Definitely. 😉
Hugs right back at you Amy. *hands glass of wine and takes one for me too…cheers*
Hoping to finish reading The Summer Games, since RL a little less crazy, since my house of family visiting left today. 🙂
I’m in bed reading, and have been since this evening… I’m battling a killer headache. Stupid head!
Hope you feel better, Maryse. I hate having headaches when I want to read. It doesn’t make it feel worse? Not that I haven’t read through before too.
But if it is too painful…..no no no won’t finish that thought. You don’t feel good. Do only what makes you feel good.
Hope you had fun with your family, Cheryl. Even if family can be crazy, lol.
Maryse, I hope you feel better soon. 🙁
Hope you feel better soon Maryse!
I am reading Exrated but can’t seem to get into the story :/. Think its going to be a DNF for me.
I’ve tried a few books since finishing Last Hour of Gann but nothing’s really hit the spot. I’ve started a few (e.g. My Commander, Surviving Raine, Tapping the Billionaire, Vicious Cycle). They start out OK but somewhere around 50%-60% I start drifting off and wondering what else is on my TBR. What’s wrong with meeeee……???
OK, I liked the look of The Summer Games but then realised Scoring Wilder (kind of a prequel) was still languishing on my TBR. So, giving Scoring Wilder a try. I’ve hit the dreaded 57% but I STILL LIKE IT. Yaaayyyy!! I usually prefer more mature (aka older!) protagonists, but this NA read is genuinely sweet and funny. And hey, it’s another book about women’s soccer. Who knew? I’ve never watched a game of it in my life, but I LOVED Kulti. And now I’m liking this one too.
I’ve also got KA’s Golden Dynasty forcing its way up my TBR. Promised MichelleS I’d try it. Yeh, yeh, I will, I will. Just let me read more about hot young sporty soccer players first.
PS Maryse I hope that headache clears away soon. * Sends blankie and hot water bottle*
Headaches are awful. Hope it goes away soon. 😕
Cheryl…cheers! *takes a healthy gulp of wine*
Jan…Golden Dynasty is so freaking great! I did NOT want that story to end. The others in the series were really good as well (I actually read GD first even though it’s the second book) but GD is my absolute favorite of them. *sigh* Lahn…
Hangin’ in there. 🙂 It’s actually a little better right now, although still not mobile enough to walk around without the pounding.
and bev, you are so right. reading with a headache is very hard. But I’m just reading slowly and taking mini-naps and moving only gingerly so it’s not too bad.
The opening scene still bugs me in GD. Just that parties seemed to get over it quicker than would seem realistic?
Besides asprin I like hot showers but then cold on my neck or head. Also, peppermint oil on the back of my neck. Oh, and fluids. I have heard that a lot of times people are more dehydrated than they know and that can lead to the headache.
bev – I LOVE soothing hot baths, and I didn’t even get out of bed long enough to take one. That would have helped for sure.
I finished Tiny Pretty Things and now on to Carnivale at Bray. Slowly chipping away at my list. YaY!
Read Tapping the Billionaire, enjoyed it. A fun, lighthearted read. Parts of it so funny. I actually LOL-ed while reading…so there’s that too!
Trying to decide what in the mood to start. I think I may want to do a reread refresher on the Aleatha Romig series, so I may pick something else first in the meantime.
Decisions. Decisions…
Welllllll, I for one am reading Paper Princess.
And loving it. 😉
Maryse…not sure if you take meds or not (some people prefer natural methods) but if it gets bad enough you can take Tylenol and Motrin at the same time. I have to do that sometimes when I have a severe headache but not a migraine, since my migraine meds don’t work on regular headaches. And everything Bev recommended is great advice as well.
Amy all I have to say is… I don’t *think* I’ve ever had a migraine (and those that have migraines say if I “think”… then I’ve never had one). And as bad as yesterday’s was, I feel AWFUL for migraine sufferers. I was still able to deal with daylight, and not seeing spots or anything. But my scent ability was working overtime (every smell was making me worse), and walking = pounding and pulsing, and turning my head = skull grabbing.
No more of that, please. 😉
Maryse! *belated hugs* I hope it went away long enough to get a good night sleep.
Alright, finished When Nothing is All You’ve Got. REALLY good. Angsty, but satisfying and the end… *shakes head* It’s a standalone, btw. The whole thing was insane and nuts. Just, yeah. I really, really liked it. I’ve had it on my mind all day, even when I couldn’t read it. Gah, just read it.
*hugs Tessa*
Much better Tessa. A world of difference. I was miserable. It was actually a 2 day headache but by yesterday afternoon it became unbearable).
Amy! *squeeeees* So, Paper Princess, right? Seriously good, right? *sighs* Is it too soon to re-read it?

“I hold my breath as I pull out yet another ovulation predictor stick.”
Intent by A.D. Justice
This is a hidden gem Maryse posted on a list about a month ago. I dropped it into my tbr then and just started reading it now. It has started out with a huge bang. I’m like this :-O
Ela, I just finished all the Bewitched and Bewildered books too! Thanks for the recommendation!!! 🙂 They were AWESOME!! What a fun-loving group of people and spectacular story line!!! Love, love, LOVE the entire group!!! I wish I was mated to one of them!!! I feel left out 🙁 Those boys are just…. YUM!!! I’m in love with all of them!! I can honestly say there isn’t a single book that was better than another!! And the scenes when they go to visit Bart’s store are HILARIOUS!!!! I was laughing so hard there were tears!! This book is the perfect mix of romance, comedy, drama, and paranormal. Ms. Alder cooked up one of the best paranormal series I’ve read in a very long time!! The group’s chemistry was written to perfection!! Like you, I’m in a book funk now and not sure what to read next. June 30th can’t get here quick enough!
YES CRISTINA! WEREN’T THEY JUST AWESOME!? AND WHAT ABOUT KEELAN??? I’M NOW STALKING THE AUTHOR AND SAW SHE’S WRITING A SPINOFF CALLED THE VANGUARD FEATURING RADEK FROM BOOK 3!
On another note I read or speed read Ladies Man and was NOT A FAN AT ALL. So I’m back to PNR, Suzanne Wright’s books in particular…
FLT
“He was going to get bad new today.” Carnal Secrets by Suzanne Wright
news not new…
FLT:
‘Some say my story began when my parents were murdered.’
Court of Nightfall by Karpov Kinrade
I randomly chose a paranormal. lol I’m in the mood for adult paranormal, thus my weird picks when the Nick book is out.
I’m so excited about the Vanguard series!!! Yay!!!! And Keelan… *sigh* I just love this series!!
Let me know what you think about Suzanne Wright’s books! I’m currently reading the Trial series by Lizzy Ford. I’m not ready to walk away from paranormal just quite yet. It’s got some great reviews on Amazon, so I’m checking it out! I just finished book 1 and so far, I’m loving it! 🙂
Tessa have you checked out Vampire Girl? Awesome book!! Loved it! Let me know what you think about Court of Nightfall.
Some of the few first books in the Phoenix Pack and Vampires were good but the last few were just ok, I’m giving it a go at it again but I’m just not feeling it. Right now I’m on Carnal Secrets.
Maryse, hope the headache is long gone. Nothing worse than a headache interfering with reading time. The seasonal allergies have been brutal this year and contributing to a lot of headaches.
Bev, it was a good visit.
Jan, I liked Summer Games more than Scoring Wilder. Still about soccer player(h), but the main characters are older than in SC.
Grey, I’m moving Tapping The Millionaire up on my tbr, so many rec’ing it around here.
Cheryl I am SO MUCH BETTER today… I fell asleep super-early, and stayed out for the night. That’s all I needed it seemed. No amount of aspirin or Tylenol was doing it. MUCH MUCH better and I feel so much more productive today.
AND! I’m reading a book coming out in just a few days and I’m really enjoying it. I’ll tell you in just a bit (’cause I’m only half way through)
Amy, PAPER PRINCESS!!!!! A major cliffhanger and it has 2 more books!! *gasp*
FLT:
“Today is mine and Alex’s one-year anniversary, and it sucks donkey dick.” Forever Pucked (The PUCKED Series Book 4) by Helena Hunting. Outrageously funny. 😉
Next for me is The Hidden Oracle (The Trials of Apollo #1)
by Rick Riordan. I’m putting it out here in the hopes it’ll help me stay on track. *crazy dizzy squirrel dance*
ooooh Fabi! Tell me how good it is when you’re done. I have to wait for 8 more people to borrow it before I can read it. lol I got the first Magnus Chase though. You read that? (I still haven’t. Adult PNR kick)
I’ll look into Vampire Girl, Christine. This has been in my TBR for forever and it finally sounded appealing.
Nope, no Magnus yet. But I’ve also been reading a lot of PNR lately. Both, YA and adult. I’m finishing up Seven Years today. Intent has been a nice CR break. It’s a great story. I should be finished with that today too so I’ll start The Hidden Oracle tonight. I don’t know what I’ll start on Audible tomorrow. Maybe I’ll go back to a couple I squirreled away from while I wait for my next credit. I can’t start the new Nick because I never finished the previous one. It got packed away when I moved and I’m assuming it’s still in one of those last two boxes I haven’t unpacked yet. I’ll probably have to restart that one since its been so long now.

“Ella, you’re wanted in the principal’s office,” Ms. Weir says before I can step inside her precalculus classroom. ~ Paper Princess by Erin Watt
Oh good choice Amy! That book is a total fun guilty pleasure…
Yes Tessa…I’m not too far in (22%) but so far it’s SO good! Reed is such a jerk face meanie but I’m loving it. 😀
Cheryl…believe it or not, CH’s don’t freak me out right now. I’m so stressed from school and CH’s have nothing on that. 😉
Maryse…so glad you’re feeling better. Isn’t it amazing how much you appreciate feeling well the day after having a horrid headache?
*hugs* Amy. I hate stress.
Hey! It’s Cinco de Mayo. Would you like a tequila shot, or a sweet yummy margarita. How about both? *snort*

Maryse, glad you’re feeling better. Way to Book-tease!!!! 😉
Amy, well that is certainly an upside from school. Maybe I should take a class… 😉

“Everybody has heard the rumours about the Olympic village – not the details of the world-class amenities and supercharged meal plans, but the whispers about the trouble athletes get into once they’re off the track and in the sack.” The Summer Games
Enjoyed Scoring Wilder and now I’m liking Summer Games as well. Set at the Rio games. Nice and current. Hot swimmer and cute soccer player. Nuff said.
I read Feral Sins a while ago (Phoenix pack bk 1) but didn’t really like it that much so didn’t go any further with that series. But I might check out Lizzy Ford also maybe Court of Nightfall. Is C of N a YA? A romance? Also will check out Intent. My TBR is growinggggg………
Jan – I felt same way after Gann…. so, believe me when I tell you GOLDEN DYNASTY will totally do it for you. I just know it!!!! I promise to read whatever you tell me if I’m wrong.
Oh Jan MichelleS is right. I LOVED that one.
Oooohhh. That’s a big promise Michelle. And I’m annoyingly picky about what I like. Here’s hoping GD makes the cut. If not ….. Tee hee …. *Steeples fingers and waves them in evil fashion* Mwoohahhah
But …. I’m still reading summer games. I guess GD better be next.
Scrolls backwards to read the big promise. I LOVE big promises!! They’re so promising! 😀
awwww guyyyys, I just finished Intent and I’m sitting here with a goofy smile on my face and all kinds of warm and fuzzies. Yes, yes, when you’re in the mood for a contemporary romance, read it, read it. Hugz all around just because. *grin*
I’ll take BOTH Maryse!!
Errrr, only one of each though…I can’t have too much on a school night. *snort* Poor hubby, he doesn’t even get a home-cooked meal on Cinco de Mayo (and he’s mexican :P) ’cause I’m just too swamped and worn out to cook, but at least he’ll get a restaurant one, right? 😉
And OMG I love how that picture came out!! Did you use your phone? How did you give it that “look”? I am so not up to speed on photo adjectives and SO not a good picture taker so I’m jealous!
Amy!! I’m having a BLAST with “Instagram“, ’cause it allows me to be extra-creative. And I LOVE taking photos but I haven’t in years. I used my iPhone, but I also use an app called Hipstamatic (it’s pretty in depth but has great filters and it is so customizable). That, coupled with a more “gentle” Instagram filter (kind of gives it the faded vintage look) and those are my pics. 😀
I’m definitely glad to hear you’re feeling better Maryse. That sounds just horrible. 🙁 No more of those headaches for you, no, no, no.
Do you ever have days that…….not bad but just one or so irritants? Not really anything to complain about but a bit, well, irritating until resolved? And then it is not resolved as easy as you hoped? Then every other little thing irritates you out of proportion cause your already irritated? But totally first world problem nothing health related and has nothing to do with anything really serious or unfixable?
But, you know irritating and makes you grumpy and twitchy?
Rant over.
Hey, whose watched Sherlock? Amy?
It may not have been a migraine, but even regular headaches can get pretty horrendous. 😕 Especially when they stick around for a couple of days without letting up.
Oh! I noticed that comment with the pic about those being Cabo Wabo glasses…have you ever been to the one in Cabo San Lucas? SO FUN!!! You can get liquored up on Cabo Wabo tequila and then buy more to take with you and then wander *cough* stumble *cough* around the city when you’re done. 😀
LOL Amy! I have never been… but I can imagine that place is SO FREAKING FUN! Although knowing me, I’d get lost, wandering in confusion on tequila-brain. Eeeeep!
Raven Boys on sale. Been hearing a lot about this series. Michelle just finished this series.
Bev – one of my students came in today wearing a Sherlock T-Shirt (from Hot Topic, she told me) and I was thinking it must be a sign. I will try it this weekend. Is it on Netflix, do you know?
Maryse, that sounds like a migraine. Not your classic aura/light sensitivity, but still a migraine.
https://migraine.com/migraine-symptoms/sensitivity-to-smells/
Oh wow Cheryl… I had no idea. And it’s true… scents were just making me worse. Thank you for the linK!!
Fabi, who is the author of Intent? Sounds like another one to add to my tbr. 🙂
I’m not sure. I watched the dvds. I do not have Netflix. Crazy I know. Fabi looked them up, I believe.

“I parked down the street from the bail bond office and pretended to fuss with some papers on the passenger seat as I watched two boys race toward me out of the corner of my eye.” A Demon Bound (Imp Series Book 1).
I am at 34% and loving it. I was in a PNR mood, and My Commander didn’t do it for me…. sorry… I know so many loved it. I think maybe I have just read way too much really good PNR, so I may be way too picky? Anyway – this one is definitely doing it for me. I think it was “the other Michelle” that recommended it a while back, right? It was in my TBR, so someone must have mentioned it. I am sure it was her.
Oh yes, Bev…I know exactly how those days go. Sorry you’re having an “aggravated” day…I’d hug you but, ya know… 😛
No Sherlock time available until this weekend…I’m writing my third research paper in a week and then I have two math assignments and a science assignment, all of which are due tomorrow. Soooo, Sherlock has to wait until tomorrow night or Sarturday. And holy moly! I can’t wait for you to get caught up on Bates Motel…it’s really starting to get crazy! *snort* No pun intended.
Oh, and that was me in the t shirt.
“I saw the plain white envelope lying on the middle of my desk.” Deception by Aleatha Romig
Idk… I really think I need to do a reread of the first 2 books. I skimmed the prologue and my pretzel tummy immediately locked up just from the flipping prologue!!! Yikes!
Yeah Michelle S. My Commander didn’t really do it for me, either. And I really wanted to love it like everyone else. :-/ Oh well. At least now I don’t feel like a total loner.
I haven’t read the Imp series but I see it has quite mixed reviews. Might be a bit too gross and confronting in some parts for my (pathetic) sensibilities, according to some of the reviews I read. Anyway, I might have a look at bk 1, but only AFTER I’VE READ GOLDEN DYNASTY 😉
BTW I love the first line from Grey (Deception). Great opener for a book. The story could go anywhere from there.
Intent is by A.D. Justice 🙂 I got it from one of Maryse’s lists towards the end of March. I’m on phone, otherwise I’d link the list for you. I loved it!
I looked for Sherlock on Netflix and Amazon Prime but the only way I saw it available is to rent or buy from Amazon. I haven’t checked any other online streaming services. Actually, I haven’t even turned the TV on in a couple of days. Sometimes I completely forget about it for a week or two. 😮
MichelleS Demon Bound is one of the ones I have on Audible. I squirreled from it so maybe I can get back to it tomorrow. I hate to admit it, but I started My Commander a few days ago and gave it up pretty quickly. With all the love it’s gotten, I’m sure it would have gotten better if I’d stick with it. I just don’t stick with books long nowadays if they’re not hitting the spot pretty quickly. It has to do with that ever growing tbr list I’m trailing around with me. :-/
Fabi – I got to 39% in My Commander. I was skimming by then, but was hoping to get to Yangon scene & then bail. Couldn’t wait anymore. Got seriously squirrelly. Ok. I don’t feel so bad now. You & Jan bailed too. I thought I’d lost my taste for fun PNR! Whew! So… Just like ice cream, we need lots of flavors. Not everyone likes the same things.
Back to Demon Bound…
I bailed for a bit… I’m interested in it so I do intend on picking it back up ’cause so many love it, but the writing (or is it the heroine?) is a bit… er… quirky for me. I know it’s supposed to be funny, and it totally is, but it’s lacking a certain seriousness for me to take it… seriously.
Yangon? Uh…. TAMPON … What the?
Yeh, I got as far as the *yangon* scene (I’ll never use the word ‘tampons’ again lol). At 48% I decided not to persist either. I did try a sample of book 2 just to see, but when the hero (a vampire, duh) started drinking blood from his mate, I thought, just, no.
Thanks for the ice cream analogy, Michelle. Chocolate, strawberry, vanilla (wink) there’s something out there for everyone. I have to say one of the many features I like about Amazon is that you can try a sample of a book before buying. Doesn’t always avoid horrible mistakes, but it’s better than just reading a blurb.
Hope none of you live near the fires in Canada. We are also very prone to bushfires (wild fires) here in regional Australia. Our thoughts are with the Canadians affected.
Dang it. I didn’t get to the yangon scene. 🙁 Pretty much what Maryse said. Yup. That’s what I was thinking too. *snicker*
Exactly Jan. Then there are those of us who choose Neopolitan. Or…chocolate and orange sherbert. <— *nods head*
I haven't seen the news about the fires. Oh no! I hate to hear that. I hope everyone is OK. Maryse? Anywhere near your family?
Thinking about vampires randomly reminded me of a really good book I read from the library recently – it’s by JR Ward (BDB). It’s called The Bourbon Kings and is NOT a PNR. Nothing like the BDBs. It came out in July last year, so probably some of you have read it. It’s set in Kentucky, and it’s a big family saga. Kind of reminded me of that old (ancient) TV series ‘Dallas’. So many secrets… so many crazies in one family. So many skeletons in the closet. It was a really great read.
Another book in the series is coming out in July, called The Angels’ Share, although amazon lists it as book 5 in the series. What the?? Anyway, it’s pretty pricy, so I might just wait for the library to get it in. But Bourbon Kings was great.
Sorry you all don’t like My Commander. I still have yet to read it. :/ The Imp series is really good, especially the later books. Also, there’s something about a despicable character that the writer is good enough to make you like her. 😀
Alright my PNR kick is at an abrupt stop. *sighs* I forgot to plug the tablet in again. Jellicoe Road, Dangerous Girls, or Sword of Summer (Magnus Chase). They all look good, but I think the Magnus Chase book because I’m REALLY not in the mood for YA. I don’t want to ruin the recommendations.
Well I loved the series *sticks out tongue*…so whatevs peeps! My Commander Rocked FOR ME! OH AND Cristina!
LOL Ela! It rocked for many of you, because even on Facebook, I was getting feedback after your recommendations thanking you guys because they LOVED it.
Instagram is great! So enjoy seeing your pics Maryse.
Just wanted to say that I hit that OMG moment in the book I am reading..Tyed by L J Shen. The mouth on this guy….like wow! Let’s no hold any feelings back….
