BREAKING NEWS UPDATE (10/29/14)!!! —> TWO MORE BOOKS ON SALE TODAY!! Like Transcendence by Shay Savage. I LOVED IT! (my review) AND AND!!!
<— Me Before You: A Novel by Jojo Moyes!!!! I totally 5-starred this one back when I read it. I. LOVED. IT!!!!!! (check out my review and the reactions from our fellow readers):
Judy: WOW! Amazing deal! but I can say without a doubt that it was worth every penny!!! And it’s the most I have ever paid for an e-book!!
Diane: I’m a broken record lol but all her books are amazing love stories
Beth: This is an amazing book, but it is GUT-WRENCHING! Be warned. I was emotionally drained for days after reading this.
Salma: The movie is on the making yay! Can’t wait!
Louise: Oh my! Just one clicked! Not too excited about crying for days ….we’ll see!
Yessss I’m still in moving-mode. Unpacking, cleaning, and I have some furniture being delivered throughout the week (including a desk of my blogging room and another bookshelf!! But of course! Can’t have too many bookshelves). And I hear that the “negative reviews” regarding my desk set is the “building it” time… and difficulty. *snort* This is gonna be fun. Maybe I should video my attempt.
So I’m still reading-time deficient, but not so much so that I can’t play in our books and add to my TBR list. 😉 I’ll have lots of catching up to do.
And I definitely have time to include some obvious release highlights right now (those that are making it straight to my TBR list or being read ASAP). That one over there to the left (Dark Due bundle) makes me dark-squee. Or is that more like a growl-squee? LOL!! 😛 And Made: A Sempre Novel by J.M. Darhower (which can be read as a standalone, but it’s perfect for mafia romance lovers!!). Anguish (I MUST start this series, he’s a prisoner and an MC member and the prison guard (she!) gets kidnapped by them…), Prince Lestat (Anne Rice is back!!!), Smiley (for all of us New Species fans!), Cherish (’cause I loved book #1… all that romantic tension & personal angst) and Last Light (M. Pierce!!!! My biggest *release-squee* of the day!!)
P.P.S. Let me know if I’m missing any or if you loved any (from this list or elsewhere).
BARGAINS (NOTE: bargain priced when I added them, but prices can change on Amazon, so make sure to check before you finalize your order).

- Broken Temptation (Tempted Book 3) by Eve Carter <— recent release that I missed (and I don’t know how I missed it considering THAT cover). 😉
- Random Acts of Hope (Random Series #4) by Julia Kent <— LOL!!!!!! THIS BLURB!!!! “God damn Charlotte, my ex-girlfriend, had to be here, of all places. At a bachelorette party where I was a stripper, dressed in a cop uniform with pants that suddenly got way too tight. And she had to be so fine. “Ooooh, honey, you’re one big officer,” said a sultry voice behind me as I watched Charlotte in the other room, chatting with the bride. A hand stroked my hip and hesitated before sliding a bit lower, filling a palm with my ass. “Arrest me, Officer. I’ve been a bad, bad girl.” With one look at the source of the voice, my night went from Oh, man to Oh, no. That voice? That hand? That was my mother. “ *snort* !!!!

So I’m in the middle of Dead Sky Morning and am really enjoying it. I do have to say I hope to see Perry grow up a little and feel her own worth.
Saying that I think I may have to squirrel over to Last Light. Yeah pretty sure I can’t wait, lol.
Ok off to get some coffee. What is everyone reading?
Maryse can’t wait to see how you decorate it.
The Rocker Who Cherishes Me comes out Nov 1st?!?!?! So excited! Love this series!
Just finished After by Varian Krylov and feel like I need to clear my head and heart. …wow, just wow! And that price for Last Light. …ugh!!!!!
I’m dying to read Prince Lestat!
Yeah! A new rockstar book. *squee* They are one of my favorite rock star books ever.
I’m already reading Burn for You. Ilona Andrews can do no wrong. I even like their SciFi books and I hate SciFi! No idea how this one is yet, (only read the set up chapter), but I’m so excited.
Black Spring is apparently the last book of the series. *sniffles* It’s such a good series, I’d recommend it to any PNR lovers.
Friends Forever is out and free. It’s two Sempre novellas, so it’s a must for Sempre lovers. *grins*
*still squees over Rockstar Who Cherishes Me*
Tessa I’m grabbing that Ilona Andrew’s book too. I haven’t read her Kate Daniels series yet but just read a great review of this new one. So thought I’d give it a try.
I’m reading King For A Day – the 2nd in the King Trilogy then will be finishing the last book in the Blood and Roses series. I’d love to start Sempre or Night Owl but the prices are holding me back. I may grab Made though.
Bev, once your done, read the Kate Daniels series. It’s insanely good, one of my top five best paranormal series. It is so different than anything I’ve read. There have been a few “copy the formats” since it’s release, but it is so good, it remains unique. 🙂
Tessa, I am squeeing with you over Rocker! Didn’t even know it was coming out! Going to be a good reading weekend!
Tracy, I agree, some of these prices are holding me back….gotta wait for a sale!
Tracy, one thing. Sempre before Made. Made will probably have tons of spoilers in it. I’m not discouraging reading it, but there were some twists in Sempre and Sempre Redemption you don’t want spoiled. *loved Sempre*
Has anyone read the Bella Jewel biker series–Anguish is the newest one? They sound really good…..to buy or not to buy
I agree Tessa. Sempre and Sempre Redemption should definitely be read before Made…… I’m looking forward to that one too! Ugh not enough time in the day!!!!
Archer’s Voice moved from wish list to tbr with that sale price. But again, it does read as a stand alone right? I haven’t read any others in the series.
I’ll be starting Last Light tonight. Agree. Ouch on the price. I don’t know if I should skim Night Owl again before starting the new one. I only remember bits and pieces of it.
Mindi, I have read every book that Bella Jewel has put out, and I’ve loved them all, especially her Jokers’ Wrath series and the book Number Thirteen. I really love her writing style. There is nothing better than grumpy alpha bikers, spunky sassy heroines, and great banter between the hero and heroine. She also has a book out called Enslaved by the Ocean which was really good. I don’t usually like pirate books, but I loved this one. Her books are definitely worth buying.
SO many good books out right now…..
Too many to choose, but Last Light and Made will be my first reads.
Fabi, you will love Archer’s Voice! It is standalone as are all the books in the series and they are all great! Let me know if the price of Last Light is worth it! I feel like I need to reread Night Owl too!
Theresa, I loved Enslaved by the Ocean! Been dying for the 2nd book! Haven’t read the Jokers Wrath series yet or Number 13 (which I do have downloaded).
Agree about the price. I know second books usually go up but this is definitely Ouch.
I absolutely *loved* Sweet Gum Tree. My. Heart. Ached. As in the broken kind of aching. But my lord, was it a wonderful kind of ache. Just shush it, peanut gallery…y’all know how much I love having my heart broken by a book. 😉
Gah, anyone else melancholy today? No? Well, forget y’all. I *am* melancholy and you ladies get to hear about it. 😛 Maybe it’s because of After, which by the way I am almost done with and really, really, *really* like. Ugh, I was thinking about Sweet Gum Tree (I snuffled while reading that one), then the song that reminds me of Bright Side started playing on my playlist *sob* and then I started thinking about the end of part one of After (sonofab!tch, that was not right), then Rainfall (did NOT see that coming), then Mudvein ($&#%!!!!), and then Drowning Instinct near the end where he tells her what to do with the jacket when the time comes…omg *sob*. Maryse, you remember it? Yeah, *that* part. Where’s my freaking manatee?!?
Laura, it’s 5 o’clock there, right? Oh!! MAC has their Keepsakes collections and Objects of Affection mini-kits out! I’m going shopping…THAT will make it all better. 😀
That blurb from Random Acts of Hope is helping, too. LOL!!!!
Maybe the price of Last Light will drop a little like the price of Harder dropped a week or so after it came out.
Amy, sorry to hear you are melancholy today, but we are here for you (right girls?).
I haven’t read Sweet Gum Tree, Bright Side or Drowning Instinct…. But I get ya where After, Rainfall and Mudvein are concerned! My mind is still on After… can’t get that one out of my head and it’s making it difficult to decide what to read next.
Retail therapy is always the best remedy for melancholy days!!!
Or martinis!
*hugs Amy*
*finds my stuffed kitty and hands it over* Until you find your manatee.
I’m sorry Amy.:-( itunes shopping and chocolate usually help me.
Come read last light, though can’t say it’s the type of read you need right now.
Or maybe a simple smutty read 🙂
(best with chocolates and red wine)
Awwwww!!!!! Love you bunches, ladies!! 😀
I found tonight’s martini…nothing melancholy about this one!
https://www.top-cocktails.com/cocktails/alcohol-cocktails/melancholy-martini
Freaking YUM!!!
Love seeing couples in their 80 or 90s out shopping together? Love that.
OMG, just finished His by Aubrey Dark an hour ago & wow!!! Anybody read it yet? It was dark & disturbing but so well written!!! Wow, still reeling!!! I think Prisoner is next for me! 🙂
Just book binged on Full Contact. Loved it more than the 1st of series. There was a heart breaking moment among the LOL moments which killed me. Highly recommend it ladies! Now on to unbroken. More fighters for me please…
Amy you’re killing me!!!!
The jacket. That book!!!!
I think it’s time for a pick me up martini. I’m feeling melancholy, too! Or maybe that’s just tired? LOL!!
Yeah, that’s it…you’re tired and it’s raining here. We’ll go with those reasons. 😉
I just have to run and pick up some Cointreau and some cream, then it’s release-day-martini-Tuesday time with melancholy martinis!! Like I said, nothing melancholy about those drinks! 😀
And I love it too when I see elderly couples doing things together, especially when they are holding hands. So sweet!!
Have pumpkin cream liqueur (kind of like Baileys) cake vodka, regular vodka and tequila. What can I mix with those? 😉
Oh and Kahlua
Screw It.
*looking innocent*
What? I was talking about the book up there that looks good. *snicker* 😛
Just give me a few minutes and I’ll have a drink recipe for those.
Pumpkin cream liqueur? *wipes drool from chin* Ya know I’ll be driving around now until I can find some. 😉
Just to let y’all know… I am taking a break tonight and have decided on “Prisoner”
Yay reading!!
Oh a new Ilona Andrews book – yes please! Tessa how is this one so far?
Also am thinking about Anguish – can these be read as stand alones? I’m anxiously waiting for the new Karen Chance too – fantastic PNR series!
Bev, I just started The Beautiful Ashes. I still have a bunch of loans – might go with Flowers from the Storm after that.
Yeah Jean I thought all of the Mia Sheridan books in the series with Archer’s Voice were stand alone and just got a borrow sent to me for Finding Eden, only to find out I have to read Becoming Calder before and I do not have it 🙁
Oooooh, lookie at this one:
https://www.spiritdrinks.com/cocktails/FallInVermont.asp#.VFAbOn5HarU
I myself would substitute the rum with cake vodka ’cause, well, it’s vodka and it’s cake flavor!
Oh crap, Anna T…you said heart breaking moment. Have you any idea how tempting that makes the book to me???
Lol @ Amy. It was pretty intense even though it’s not an overly angsty book.there was a part where I cried…a lot! I love Sidney’s books.
Yes when they hold hands or hand through his arm, so sweet.
Just started The Last Light and knew this is what they were going to do, but not cool, Matt and Hanah, not cool.
Seriously how are they ever going to make this right?
So I am thinking I have to put down what I am reading and start “Last Night” because Night Owl was so so good.
I had been reading Apollyon (Book 4 in Covenant Series) – so I will have to get back to that. It’s really good too!!!
I have to ignore 90% of this list in order to focus a bit on my TBR list. I will allow the one SQUIRREL (with Last Night),…..
Anna I think im at “the part”. My heart is breaking for Slade! It was so sweet and funny ..now this. Ughhh
Amy – I just love all the martini recipes that you find. I hope your melancholy perks you up!
Even though it said that Made was a stand alone I figured I should read Sempre first so I’ll grab Made while it is just $2.99.
Fabi – I agree about Archer’s Voice, it was wonderful.
Lol @ Rachel. Yep I sobbed
I’m still engrossed in the EIT series, on book #5, On Demon Wings. I think the books keep getting better and better and the angst meter is going up too. Just when you THINK Dex and Perry are moving in the right direction, BAM they’re not!!
Feel like I’ve been in Amy’s blanket cave and haven’t come up for air since starting this series. So many new books piling up for when I’m finished!!
Amy, hold out your hands and I’ll paint your nails ILLAMASQUA in BLOW.
* the name alone should make you smile* AND It will warm your hands with a jolt of sunshine; since you said it was raining. *putting straw in martini so can sip while I paint your nails*
So Seth has been a bit of a shock. And Matt!?! What the hell?
Michelle S. It’s great so far. The world they created is really interesting, and the family is pretty sweet, though I’m hoping for more of them together. (honestly, the grandma is Kick***) I’m not even half way through yet, (almost am) but it’s the right vibe.
Oh, and you said in another thread you weren’t sure about Angelfall. Get it now, anyway at that price. It’s seriously good. *grins*
Cheryl that’s just cute.
Yeeaa MichelleS. I’m starting Last Light tonight too. And I didn’t realize you were thinking about Angelfall. It’s really good! though I better warn you it’s YA since I know you don’t much like that.
Oohh Maryse I can’t wait to read that. But I have to know if it had a cliffhanger ending. I thought someone mentioned it did.
NO CH Fabi. It is the first in a series though. I liked it. But it almost felt like it was missing the middle part of the story. I’m going to read the others though.
OMG, OMG….the ENTIRE Men of Steel series by MJ Fields is bundled for $.99!!!!! I love those Steel brothers.
Thanks for the info Bev!
About to start chapter 26 and I’m nervous. I do not like where this might be going on a couple of fronts. Has me jittery.
Gobbled up Anguish by Bella Jewel in one sitting the night it was released. Absolutely LOVED it. Probably my favourite of the series. I really, really enjoyed the Joker’s Wrath series as a whole – not groundbreaking reading by any means but likeable (mostly!) characters … characters what were well written anyway. I really enjoy Bella’s writing style too, it flows effortlessly and the books are hard to put down – highly addictive! Maryse’s words “deliciously dangerous” are a perfect way to describe the series!
I’d highly recommend reading them in order! Each book is centred on a different couple but the story kind of flows on through each one. So yeah, might be a bit confused in places and get a few spoilers if you read it out of order!
And now I’m am absolutely hanging out for late November and ‘Til Death – the main two characters were introduced in Anguish!
Decisions, decisions, which book to start next!? WELP.
Oh yeah I feel like I’ve been MIA!!! I’m reading the last fallen angel book so I will get back in the loop!! Then there’s to much to read!!
Fabi u will love archers voice it’s so good!! Did u all buddy read after then?
Amy it’s actually 08.50 here now I’m a little late I will start the coffee for u thought lol
Jeanie, I finished His by Aubrey Dark last night and thought it was great, little dark but definitely a page turner. Just started Consequences of Deception by Ella Fox which is on sale for 99 cents. First few chapters in and I’m hooked.
Bev – I know, right???? I feel like I got dumped into book two without having read book one – but I DID read book one. None of this is matching what I remember. I certainly don’t remember any mention of SETH. I’m a bit lost right now. (Last Night, rant #1)….. but I am intrigued and not going back for clarification…. ONWARD….
Stayed up late and read Last Night in one sitting. Not at all what I was expecting. I LOVED had reread Night Owl earlier this week to prepare and it almost felt like Matt and Hannah’s personalities changed? I spent more time being confused where they were going personality-wise then following the story. Maybe it was just me. Laurence the rabbit was cute as ever though. 🙂
Laura, I remember when I was going straight through series like you’re doing. That was the best kind of reading. I miss it.
I started Last Light. I’m only on chapter 5 so I don’t have much to say about the story yet. But right away something caught my attention. Once I started reading, I was lost in the book’s world. For me, there is a huge difference in a book that’s not only written by a skilled author, but also well edited before publishing. A well edited book flows with no distractions. It makes it easier to get lost in the story. To feel like real life has slipped away and forget time and place and reality. I love getting caught up in an author’s fictional world like that. Its why I’ve always preferred reading as my entertainment. I know we were all a bit bug eyed by the price of this book. But I have to say that if this is what I have to pay for great books, then it’s well worth the money. There is a definite correlation on my Kindle and Nook between price and stars.
Katie J I know what you mean. It sometimes started to feel little NA in places. I like NA, but was not expecting that here. I’m not done, 2 chapters left.
And now not sure why they did *that* as it never seemed to play out for me.
MichelleS Certain surprising part were I all of a sudden felt sorry for Seth. I could see how he became that way.
Fabi very easy to go with the story. I know what you mean about the editing. There was only one place where I was a little jolted by the time line, but think that was me not the book.
Yeah, not sure how I feel about this book. I read it almost in one setting, but a little disappointed.
I am scared by the mixed reactions to Last Light. I started Prisoner last night… not that far into it. But guys, I can’t stop thinking about After…. just can’t stop. Don’t you think Maryse should read this one? I would love to see a review from her on it!!!!!
Jean, I’m actually not sure if Maryse would like After. Of course, I can only think that based on the books she reviews. I’m surprised Amy is reading it too since I don’t consider After to be a high angst book. I loved it, but I love sci fi, dystopian and some dark reads. I have to admit though, I had a bit of a problem with the level of violence in the book. Regardless, I think I’ve become one of Krylov’s biggest fans. For me (so far):
Bad Things *****
Dangerously Happy ****
After **** (just edging into that 4th star)
Can’t wait to read more of her books. So y’all let me know if/when you’re going to start another one. In the meantime, maybe I can knock a few others off my tbr.
Last Light – I’m only at the beginning but already rooting for Seth. The antihero. 🙂
Finished Burn for You and OMG loved it! This isn’t a Kate Daniels, but it is the closest to as good as Kate Daniels as they’ve come. If the series continues like book one did, it’ll be a top ten series for sure.
Now to read Archangel’s Shadow. One advantage to being sick, I can read all day. That and catch up on Supernatural. I need my Dean Winchester time. *sighs happily*
Cheryl, if the name of that polish didn’t grab me (Blow *snicker*) then the color certainly would…it’s bright and beautiful! And having you paint my nails makes it even more appealing. 😉 *admiring nails*
Thanks, Tracy! My mood definitely perked up…with the right martini, of course!
MichelleS, I’m giddy that you like the Covenant series! My favorite quote from Elixir: “I had to remove myself from the bathroom. ‘Saint’ Delphi my a$$.” LOL!!!
Finished. I just don’t know. All of a sudden they felt really young to me.
It felt like they were 18 or 19 not 28 & 29. I was so happy with what Pam told Hannah about her job. Again I could understand that behavior from a kid but from an adult I just did not have any sympathy. Honestly I felt very little empathy or sympathy for them. Except Seth…but he is not that likable, lol.
Deep breath and mini rant over.:-\
Ok, Michelle S & Fabi I need you all to finish to hear what you think. Maybe I’m too cranky and hard on it.
Prisoner looks soooo good…but I’m going to have to hold off for a while since finishing After. Speaking of After, I’m with ya, Jean. It’s going to stick with me for awhile.
To be honest, I think Maryse might like After. You’re right, Fabi…no real angst but there is the dark factor that made it appealing. It’s not dark and disturbing to the point of books like Courtesan or Tied Man but enough to fit our bill, so to speak. Fabi, honey, if that level of violence in After bothers you, then you *really* don’t want to try some of our darker reads. Even *I* have been traumatized by some of them. 😉
Um, since we’re speaking about you like you’re not here, Maryse *giggle*…you should check out After when you get the time. Well, might want to wait a bit after reading Prisoner but do keep it on your radar!
Uh-oh, Bev…should I wait for it to come down in price before one-clicking it? 😕
I’m definitely waiting for Last Light to come down in price now.
Amy, I think Maryse would like After too…. it’s dark, but just so thought provoking! Maryse?!?!? You there or are you busy stocking your new bookshelves?
What “After’ are we talking about? Now I need to backtrack. 😉
Amy, that’s a hard question, lol. There were parts when I thought “This is an Amy read.” Of course if I feel twenty butterflies you’d probably feel one. With one wing. I felt the same as Fabi on the writing. I thought the family dynamic was really interesting and wish there had been more between the brothers. Matt and Hannah just felt slightly different to me. And I’m not sure what the pay off to the set up of the story was.
But as you can see I’m thinking about it and talking about it, lol. I could have waited, but maybe see what Fabi and Michelle think.
Hello, I am searching for a series that I read awhile back. They were saved on my Kindle but for some strange reason, they are no longer there.
I can’t remember what the name of the series is, but I can remember what the series was about.
It’s about this 17/18 year old girl, who is paid a visit by a strange man at her home. He forces her to receive an examination to see if she’s still a virgin, and then proceeds to tell her that he has paid her father money to take her away.
He knocks her out, takes her to his mansion and forces her to sign a marriage agreement.
Six years later she is able to run away during a trip to the library, with a little help from the maid.
After driving for days, she ends up in this small town and starts to rebuild her life. She gets a job, makes a new friend and then eventually falls in love.
While attending a convention in the same town where she ran away from, she gets into a wreck and loses her memory. She ends up back with her husband who starts to fall in love with her.
Eventually her memory returns and she moves back to her home in the small town. But things have changed and she now has feelings for her husband.
I think his name is Drew but I can’t quite remember.
Does anyone know the name of this series????
https://hookedonhouses.net/2010/12/05/kate-winslets-english-cottage-in-the-holiday/
Talk of moving and book shelves had me thinking. If I could spend the winter holed up some where reading I think this ^ would be perfect. Hmm if it links.
I don’t know that series, Elise, but DANG does that sound up our alley! I hope someone can help here because *I* want to read it. 😉
Yep, Jean, I think After is a “Maryse read.” I think she is having too much fun setting up her blogging room!
“Of course if I feel twenty butterflies you’d probably feel one. With one wing.” <——- *snort* OMG that was awesome!! LOL!!!!!!
Bev, why? WHY would you do that to us?!? *sigh* What a beautiful home. 🙂
After by Varian Krylov. Dark, post-apocalyptic, men-to-women ratio of about twenty to one. It’s a good one. 😉
Elise, it sounds like Underestimated and Underestimated Too by Jettie Woodruff.
Oooh, and Underestimated is 99¢ right now.
Bev, that’s a beautiful house. The bedroom brought back fond memories. At my old house I had my room set up with an entire wall of bookshelves and a comfy glider chair by the window for reading. Nothing like the gorgeous house in your pics though. Would love to spend a winter vacation in that one.
Jettie Woodruff and Underestimated is the one Laura loves, I think.
One of my fave movie homes. If I won the lottery and could recreate…….
Now back to Dex or squirrel?
Underestimated? BAM! Woo-hoo!! And .99?? Score for us!!
Bev, I’m jumping back into EIT now that I am finished with After.
Bev, I’m with you 100% on Last Night. I was sooo excited for this book and it was just “meh” for me. Writing was really solid but the strong personalities of the H/H seemed to weaken somewhere along the way. New characters were intoduced that I’m still trying to figure out if they were mysterious or just not developed enough.
But here’s the bottom line: As the proud owner of a stuffed manatee, I will read #3 too.
I’ll definitely be grabbing Me Before You. It’s been on my tbr for awhile and the price is right!
Ok ok I’m back from the dead!!! Well not really but u know what I mean, so what’s going on? What are we reading? Ok I’m going to wait for last night to come down in price aswell I think, this after and prisoner books we are talking about what would u all think is better? Amy fabi Jean bev michelles and of course maryse I feel like I’ve not spoken to u all in ages 🙁 I’ve missed u!!!
Ok a bit of Laura cray cray hubby is thinking I’m hilarious as I’m freaking out about Halloween and the fact I have now read fever/highlanders I’m telling him since we aren’t that far from Dublin we must must keep all the lights on on Halloween cause I will not go out with death by shade no way I’m totally making the baby a machalo…… I knew u would all understand he just thinks it funny!!!!
KatieJ great reason to plan on #3. 🙂
I’m still too early on the book but can already start relating to what everyone is saying about the main characters being different than how they were presented in book 1.
Hahaha Laura. A machalo for the baby for Halloween. Love it. And back from the dead. Ha! You crack me up. You just read so many of my favorite series. Great memories for me.
Yeah fabi he doesn’t get it I just told him about the fallen angels and his exact words were ‘ oh f**k me now we have Angels to worry about because fairies aren’t enough’ yeah he doesn’t get it
Haha Laura! Your Halloween comment…”death by shade”…too funny! Welcome back!
Some of us here just read After by Varian Krylov. I am now reading Prisoner from the recent releases and I’m really liking it!!!
Jean it’s now my biggest fear I don’t want to be a husk yuck!!
I have prisoner on my TBR I’m torn between that sociopath and precarious I don’t know what one or maybe just maybe actually follow my tbr…..
Laura that would be too cute. I wonder how many would get the reference if you walked baby around? Well, at least he said it in a Scottish accent, lol.
Amy is Manny territorial?
Katie J Yes about the characters. One in particular for me. Hmm disappointed but still thinking about it. I wonder if in #3 this character will come into it.
Fabi and Michelle S when you ladies are done may have to open a discussion thread cause curious as to your take.
He says I have to disclose to u all about the fact that (he says this is cute btw) I carry in my handbag(more like a suitcase) a little torch, some salt cause u know u may have to fend off zombies/witches, a mirror (they might not have a reflection…..vampire) a silver cross on a chain which I have protested isn’t for weird reasons like werewolves it is just well just because!! I mean all these thing are normal in a handbag without the weird reasons anyway but when we are out he thinks it’s my party trick to tell everyone why I have these things!! Ok rant about hubby over!!!
What am I going to read btw?
Haaa full disclosure noted. Too funny.
Laura that is funny. Maybe take a break from the pnr, lol. The ones I’m ever really afraid to see are ghost. I’ll say they are not real but seriously the thought gives me the heebie jeebies.
Some one started a last Light thread so got to get my rant on.
BAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!! OMG Laura!!! “Oh f**k me” I am laughing so hard at what your husband said! And YOU with all your little protections…you two are hilarious! Oh man, I’ve missed you, too.
Then I read above (how did I miss it earlier?) that Bev is “hard on it”…with “it” being Last Light. *snort* Someone has a cloner!!!! 😛
*wiping eyes* Whew, I needed those laughs!
Bev, do you mean is Manny territorial because of KatieJ’s stuffed manatee? *giggle* I guess we’ll find out. 😉
Oh but bev ghosts can’t hurt u just scare the living crap out of u!! I think?? Yeah just to annoy him I’m reading iced u know cause I’m a gluten for punishment! After reading fallen angels crystal will be purchased for the handbag I just like to be prepared like all these people preparing for zombie apocalypse I’m prepared for everything!!
I was really looking forward to last night but the price and what u are all saying is making me out the brakes on it
Thanks Lauren for the heads up on the Men of Steel box set – wanted to try that series for a while. Also grabbed Me Before You. LOVED with extra emphasis on the caps Transcendence. Actually does anyone have some neanderthal or primitive type romance books they can recommend? I have the Jean Auel series but haven’t started it yet – not sure how much romance is in that one though?
Oh and completely unrelated but went to see The Best of Me and oh god I cried so hard – even more than I did with The Notebook! I must read that book now though, seriously it was completely unexpected how it turned out.
Laura – “what am I going to read?” – well, on this monster list up there…. I’d pick Transcendence (OMG!!! Caveman love done RIGHT)… right Amy? kizzz beh to you!!! Or….. I’d pick Archer’s Voice. So wonderful. So So wonderful. And both are big ole’ bargain priced!!!! Did you read these two? No commitments to a series either. yay.
Amy – I LOVE the Covenant series. I haven’t gotten to Elixir yet – that’s the Novella right? Where does it fit into the series? I’m on Book four. I hate Seth again (Twatwaffle that he is – see there how I put my Experiment in Terror nod in there? huh huh?) and I’m back to loving Aiden.
I am going to keep on going with Last Night because I paid the big bucks and now I have to get through it, but I agree, it doesn’t even feel like the same characters or author to me. I’m a little lost.
Hurry up and unpack already Maryse…. we miss you!
Colleen Hoover This Girl is 1.99 too
YES MichelleS!! You need to read Transcendence, Laura! I *never* would have read it were it not for the recommendations here, and I would have missed out on a phenomenal book. Luffs!! Oh, be still my heart. *clutching chest*
*gasp* You didn’t read Elixir, MichelleS?!?!? It is Aiden’s POV and should be read between books 3 and 4 (Deity and Appolyon). OMG, you will fall even harder for him in that one. Read it…like, NOW!! 😀
I think Laura is reading Iced. That book is just so fun.
Michelle S where are you in the book? I pretty much read it in a sitting, but just felt like everything regressed. So odd.
Trying to read Dead Sky Morning. Reading it in little snatches. It’s odd when the book is good and yet doesn’t hold me. Maybe has to do with mood. I am enjoying them and can’t wait to get to Dex POV and some answers. Like who is creepy lady?
Michelle, Jean Auel’s Clan of the Cavebear series is awesome. But the romance takes a book or two to build in that one.
Yeeaa you’re giving me a chance to again recommend one of my all time Neandethal reads. Please try Hominids by Robert Sawyer. It’s the first in the Neansethal Parallax series.
Those two series above are so freakin amazing. Both edgy, even slightly dark. With love and romance and heartbreak and unexpected heroes and, and, and…gah, just so good.
Lol, Fabi we all have those books.
Just grabbed The Resistance for .99. Maryse reviewed it awhile ago, glad to find it on sale.
Blah, not sure what is wrong with my attention span today.
Wow, everyone is jumping on the male POV bandwagon…there is a new Flowers in the Attic book from Christopher’s POV.
*blink blink*
Wow, trying to catch up with all the comments and laughing my a$$ off.
I feel like I’m out of the loop since I’m still reading thru the EIT series. Have to say each book gets better and better and this one-On Demon Wings, oh poor Perry and Dex.
Bev, stick with it, it gets better and I was so happy to finally read the Dex POV excerpts when I finished DSM.
MichelleS- Twatwaffle, haven’t gotten to that yet in EIT. Have gotten to Douchecanoe. 😉
Fabi, I actually have the Sawyer series on my wish list – I caught it a while back when you recommended it 🙂 – waiting to see if they drop in price a little. I have all the Jean Auel books and know I will love them – right up my alley but just keep putting them on the backburner. Hey did you have any dystopian recs for me from the other day? I’ve been in a non-traditional book vibe.
Oh and I also think Maryse would like After – it’s really stuck in my head as well and the writing alone is fantastic.
Flower’s in the Attic has Christopher’s POV now? Just… no. I refuse to read those again. lol I was 14 the first time, but now? Just nope. (Admittedly, once she passed away, I just stopped reading her all together.)
I’m with Tessa on that one. Now Andrews wrote some twisted books.
Since I was looking at books instead of reading I noticed two Kleypas books on sale and had to share. Both are 2.99.
Secrets of a Summer Night is bk 1 in the Wallflower series. Not my favorite in the series, that’s 2&3, but LOVE this series. Love the friendships between the Wallflowers.
Someone to Watch Over Me bk 1 of her Bow Street series. This was just fun I thought and I loved Grant.
Michelle if you are ok with m/m, dark, and not the usual Captive Prince vol. 1&2. There will be a third, but I don’t know when it will be released. Read both in a weekend.
Lynn Flewelling Nightrunner series is also fantastic. Well the first three, haven’t got to the fourth yet. Getting over the flu and just immersed myself. Seregil ♥♥♥♥
Right?? I usually really like reading the guy’s POV after reading it from the lady’s POV, but this one was just…just… 😐 Like Tessa said…just no.
I saw that and had flashbacks of sneaking the FITA books in my room and reading them. *giggle* I thought I was being soooo naughty reading them.
Just finished Last Night and I honestly was disappointed. I think the price is a big turn off too. I would tell anyone else to wait for a price break on this. I loved Night Owl but for some reason this one just seemed like …dare I say, unnecessary? For me it was just ok. Archer’s Voice! Love this one too. I read it whenever I’m in a book slump..so good.
I’m up!! Hmmm transcendence I dunno I didn’t like the sound of it either don’t think it’s my cup of tea but maybe but yes bev I’m reading iced I gave in cause I wasn’t sure if I would like it because it’s dannis PoV we will see, sat least reading that I stuck to my tbr lol
Flowers in the Attic from Christopher’s POV? Oh no no no. I blame VC Andrews for twisting me into what I am now – a perv reader who looks over her shoulder to make sure no one can read what’s on the page! My poor little unicorn heart was so innocent until I read that twisted tale of incest! My poor mom had no idea. I think I was 13. Not old enough.
I am not very far on Late Night, Last Night, whatever the heck it’s called. Night Owl #2. I am at the reunion at the cabin part. Everybody is kind of annoyingly needy and not very likable yet.
MichelleS I’m at that part also. I don’t dislike the book it’s just that it’s not what I was expecting from a sequel to Night Owl. I still claim the writing is top notch.
Michelle (the other Michelle) I’ll get a list of YA dystopians I’ve read and loved and post it this morning for you.
Is Last Light going where it seems to be going? I just finished reading about the weekend Hannah misses because of the new book release. <— I don't think that gives anything away. But I would sure like it if it's headed in the direction it seems to be headed right now.
I know I should have expected some darkness with Prisoner….. but holy crap…my heart is racing!!
I wish I could say I was sneaking FitA, but my mom knew full well what I was reading. Her theory was i wouldnt be able to handle it when i had kids. She’s the one who recommended to her 14 year old Rosemary Rogers and found Skye O’Malley for me. *shakes head*
Oh! Speaking of mind mess ups, I’m loving Underestimated. 🙂 It’s bad when part of you is rooting for an abussive jerk. Prisoner sounds like it might be next. Is it that good?
Laura I was hesitant about Iced too. And now can’t wait for more Dani.
Transcendence was different but good. I don’t think I would be able to make the same choice as the heroine. All the “luffs and kiz”(sp?) is from that book.
Tessa that is funny. I think we all read that book too young. Your mom was throwing you in the deep end, lol.
Mine bought me LM Montgomery. Anne and Gilbert ♥♥♥.
OK Michelle here is a list of Dystopians. Sorry it took so long. I don’t have my libraries separated by genre and I had to pull out the ones that were strictly fantasy or sci fi or PNR. Most of these are 100% dystopian. A few I would call 90% dystopian. I thought about sharing my rating for them with you but quickly realized that they are mostly 5* for me. Hope you find one you like.
Partials by Dan Wells
Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
Incarceron by Catherine Fisher
Red Rising by Pierce Brown
Altered by Jennifer Rush
Pathfinder by Orson Scott Card
The Maze Runner by James Dashner
Divergent by Veronica Roth
Lockdown by Alexander Gordon Smith
Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card
The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey
Enclave by Ann Aguirre
Mila 2.0 by Debra Driza
Incarnate by Jodi Meadows
Matched by Ally Condie
Unwind by Neal Shusterman
The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken
Starters by Lissa Price
Bev, that’s exactly how I felt about Iced. But I was already reading a YA spinoff from another author which was really good. So I dived right in with Iced and whoa, it was great!
For any that are following the Ruin series by Deborah Bladon, the 3rd installment just released.
Ooh Bev, those two series you recommended sound good! They are both m/m then?
Fabi, I would love to add some dystopian books to my library but no rush on recs – maybe I should literally start posting under “The Other Michelle” and not just as a joke because I think people are messing us up. I asked Tessa above about the new Ilona Andrews book but it was MichelleS asking about Angelfall. Maybe I should post with my middle name Lea?
Fabi, we were posting at the same time – whoaaaaa what a list!
I’m laughing here because I just bought Under the Never Sky yesterday since it was on sale – score and it’s on your list!
There are so many good ones on there (only have read six of them) – thank you soooo much for taking the time to post them Fabi 😀
Holy cow Fabi…. that took some serious time to put that list together! I am finding I like these different genres thanks to you guys!
Tessa, not sure how “good” Prisoner is yet… Only at 35%… but definitely typical Skye Warren…..creepy but intense with a mix of sexiness? Lol, if that even make sense!
Fabi thanks for the list. I too will be checking some of them out.
Michelle Yes, they are both m/m, but very unique and so good. For both it was one of those times when the book and mood just aligned.
I have that Andrews on my kindle and have been eyeing it.
Michelle I knew it was MichelleS asking about Angelfall because I know YA is not a fav for her so I mentioned that AF is YA.
My pleasure on the recs. You know we all love to share are favorite reads. And I have found and read SO many great books based on recommendations from you ladies. 🙂
I’m looking into Captive Prince and Nightrunner too. I just love recommendations.
That second series Bev has seven books too I see! I want to read the new Andrews book but I have the newest Kate Daniels book on borrow that I need to read first (Magic Breaks).
I finished The Unfortunates a few days ago which is a dystopian romance and I think a couple of you were looking at it. It was just ok. It’s only part 1 but I wasn’t in love with it – reviews were misleading for me with this one.
Heh, this is what I love about being around readers “*only* read six”, lol.
MichelleS not sure what you asked about Angelfall, but it was a good read. Slightly disturbing.
Has anyone read Book One of the Measure of Devotion Trilogy. It’s free on Kindle. Sounds like an m/m. I guess I’ve read 5 or so good ones so I’m interested in more of them.
Michelle I just saw that and so I have a lot of catching up to do.
Ok I need to go be productive. And maybe really read, a book, today. May do two today DSM and my over due book The Queen of The Tearling.
Michelle let me know when or if you read the new one may join you.
Just downloaded samples of Captive Prince and Luck in the Shadows. Thanks Bev. 🙂
Hey girls, sometime just posted J.R. Ward’s The Bourbon Kings on Pinterest. Does anybody know what this is? Just curious and love J.R. Ward thanks to Maryse!
anything JR Ward is magic for me. Love her gritty writing.
Ok Bev I will post when I get to Andrew’s new series but it will be a while. After I get through my borrows, I’m going to read another Krylov since I foresee an obsession forming with her books. I downloaded the same samples as Fabi and want to check them out. Fabi, are there one or two on your dystopian list that were your favorites for me to get samples to read? I do like dystopian that has a good amount of romance but I read it all.
Jean how’s prisoner going? I’m going to read it soon after iced I think!
Fabi I agree about jr ward don’t u think she writes from a male PoV so well? While I’m reading iced it just reminds me how annoying barrons and ryoden with withholding information!! Geez just tell a girl!!
Laura I agree with you 100%, JR Ward and with the B and R sentiment.
Oh shoot Michelle, ONE favorite from THOSE? haha don’t know of I can. Which ones have you read? That’ll narrow it down some for me.
Let me know when you get to another Krylov so I can read it with you. If you end up liking another of hers I’m going to start badgering you about Dangerously Happy and Bad Things. *smirk*
Ok ladies, maybe I’m going to be the odd one out with Last Light. I’m at 69% and I really like it. Maybe it’s because I don’t remember much of the first one or maybe I haven’t gotten to the bad part yet but so far I’m calling it a 4* for me. Maybe that’ll drop before I’m done. But right now I have little knots in my stomach with what’s going on with Matt.
Laura, I’m liking it so far but since reading After, I don’t know….. maybe my expectations are higher now. Ha!
And so many books are waiting for me…… like Chasing Abby (Shattered Hearts series) which is getting awesome reviews!!! Amy, I know you loved this series too….. did you read it yet?
Ok I just looked at your list in more depth Fabi. I’ve read the more mainstream ones mostly: Partials, The Hunger Games, Pathfinder, The Maze Runner, Divergent, Ender’s Game. Red Rising, Enclave and Matched were on my radar but the rest are new to me (oh and I bought Under the Never Sky yesterday). I was reading blurbs and for some reason The Darkest Minds is jumping out to me? So much goodness yey – I might have to read one soon 🙂
Michelle, of the ones you haven’t read, not counting Under the Never Sky since you already have that one…
The Darkest Minds is good, no, it’s great.
Altered maybe has a bit more romance than the others and is as great.
Lockdown is scary as sh*!
Enclave is beyond spectacular. It’s an edgy love story.
Mila 2.0 is whacked terminator style.
Unwind will mess with your mind and leave you horror struck and breathless.
Incarnate and Matched and Starters I could leave ’till I’d read most of these others.
As far as romance or love stories. They all contain some elements. A few more than others. But remember they are all YA.
WOW – you’ve got me wanting to read one of these now! I think there is a sequel to yet. I sound psycho in my reading tastes. YA to Erotica and everything in between. But, hey, it it’s a good story, one that carries me away, it doesn’t much matter to me which genre it belongs in or if it’s rated anywhere from G to X. 🙂
Back to Last Light. I’m at 77%. I am loving it! I can’t believe you guys didn’t like it. I keep expecting a horrible ending just because so many of you said the book didn’t meet expectations.
Sorry Michelle, I just realized you haven’t read Red Rising and I left it off my commentary. Put that one on the greats list. Truly awesome.
Fabi, I for one am really happy to hear you are loving Last Light….. So many of us have been waiting so long for that one so I really don’t want to be disappointed, but still waiting for sale price!
omg, I left off Incarceron? Ummm, crazy messed up twist that you simply won’t believe.
I know what you mean Jean. The price is steep. It’s one of the reasons I held off on Deeper and Harder. Harder’s price was kind of up there and Maryse confirmed that they both had to be read. Now I’m glad I help off because as I was looking through books for Michelle’s list, I ran across Deeper in one of my libraries. So I already have it and didn’t remember. I don’t think I’ve read it or I didn’t finish it but at least now I know I have it.
Deeper was awesome Fabi! Read it ASAP!
One good thing for me today, B&N sent me s $5.00 gift card for signing up (which I had to do to get After by Krylov), so I just downloaded On the Island which had been on my wish list for a long time with adamant recommendations for it from the girls here. It was $7.99 so I saved money (that’s what I would tell my husband anyway)! Lol!
Oh Jean that one is big time on my wish list from all the great recs too.
Deeper and On the Island are both Asap reads. I think Caroline & West were the last to give me a book hangover. I did not want to leave them.
Fabi I’m glad you are loving it. I usually feel odd one out, lol. There is a spoiler thread & I’d love to read your thoughts when your done.
oh yes please post the link to the thread. I’m probably going to finish it today since I can’t seem to do anything but read. I’m on the rollercoaster part and have to see it through. The on thing though that surprises me is that it doesn’t seem to be a long book. For the price, I assumed it would be novel length. Not as long as After, but longer than some of the less expensive reads.
Ducking rotten tomatoes before I say this…
When I found Deeper in my Nook library I opened it to see if I’d read it. The bookmark was on page 165/268. That seems to me it was a dnf or a get back to it later read. But I can’t be sure because I don’t remember anything about it. Guess I’ll have to skim the beginning after I fi ish my current read to see if I actually read part of it. *blush* I have no idea what happened to my reading of it. I usually Love all the ones y’all do except for the very few that I couldn’t handle the ending.
Fabi it is a very fast read. I think the page count is like 300 but felt shorter to me.
Like I said people will love on a book and I’ll be like, really!?!
Ok I’ll try to post the link. Crossing fingers.

Sorry should say WARNING WARNING that is a SPOILER THREAD. ^^^^^^
DO NOT CLICK IF YOU HAVEN’T READ LAST LIGHT.
Sorry hit send before writing warning.
Fabi, it’s okay. Sometimes the mood we are in at the time we read a book can affect us too. I agree with bev, some books I love and I see bad reviews and I’m like really? And some books I don’t love and others rave about them. It’s all personal choice…. And it’s great that we can share our opinions here!
Speaking of sharing our opinions… *rubbing hands together*
I’m gonna sound like a byotch, but whatever. You ladies are used to my word vomit. 😉 I love Molly McAdams’ books but the covers are realllllly starting to bug me, specifically Sharing You, Capturing Peace and NOW Letting Go. What the hell is going on with her covers?? Those are *not* the faces I want to picture when I’m reading them.
See?? I told you I was gonna sound like a byotch. *shrug*
Jean – yay!!! You’re getting to read On the Island for the first time. Loved it. Great choice for your gift certificate.
I had to skim really fast past the comments because I saw Last Night and Spoiler Alert! ACK! I’m still reading it.
Also – how many Michelles are there anyhoo? We can put an initial at the end…. like mine – Michelle S….. there’s only one other? I’m confused. No, I generally don’t love YA, but I do read it if I hear the writing and story are good. I am liking Covenant, and I think that’s YA. Dystopian is not my favorite, but I do occasionally read it. I really liked The Beyond series by K Rocha. And The Holy Trinity. I’ll take another look-see at Angellfall. Thanks for that recommendation.
So what’s everyone else reading? I am trying really hard not to squirrel away from Night Owl #2.
Amy – so, of course I had to check out those covers. EEEEEW. Maybe she ran out of money and got some friends and neighbors together for a photo shoot? To heck with professional models! That guy on the cover of Lover Avenged wanted too much money!!!! ha! Which brings me to my point. I LOVED the cover of Lover Avenged. And I pick books based on covers often. Well, maybe not pick them, but certainly I skip past them if they are cheapo looking or weird. It’s like wine – all in the labeling. Those are some of the worst I’ve seen!
Finished! I just finished Last Light. So sue me if you want to but I LOVED IT. The writing is so smooth and the story flows seamlessly. Excellent work imho.
Maybe I would have been intrigued if the story went in a different direction. But it didn’t and it’s fine. I still loved it and very very much enjoy the author’s talent.
I want to go see the spoiler thread. But I have a hair appointment in 15 mins. aahhh can I fit it in? lol Hard to break away from you ladies.
MischelleS, I have been know to (more than once) buy a book based on its cover. And vice versa, skip one because of it.
Michelle S spoiler alert just for the link. None within the comments. Dead Sky Morning for me. It’s weird I’m liking them a lot but am having a hard time staying focused on them. Mood I guess. BTW Halle does some great covers and I like KA New ones.
Amy I’ve said it a few times already but Taking Chances made me so angry haven’t read another by her, lol. At the time people were loving on the book hard.
Amy- I agree. Are you going to pick back up with EIT? I tell you each book gets better, although I’m not enjoying Old Blood as much. I think because things were just heating up and now it’s a back story. Luckily, it’s a novella.
Thanks for the link Bev. I had to add my counter opinion. 🙂
Now, what’s next? I have so many on tbr. Decisions decisions.
Ooohhh I should probably read Archers Voice since I have it on my Kindle now. I haven’t read anything angsty for a while. I should be able to handle one now.
Still trying to widdle down my current book loans and moved onto Mudvein and I was sucked in! I’ve read 30% already and feels like I just started it. Maybe I will like this one afterall…Amy you did say it was love hate but it’s very good so far…albeit slightly confusing at this point still but it must come together.
Fabi, I spent too long looking at samples of your glorious list above 😉 and ended up downloading Enclave so that and Under the Never Sky are going to be my reads for next week – and Abduction which I will post when I get closer if you want to read this too.
Just finished Old Blood. Think I’m going to skip The Dex Files, for now, and read book 6, Into the Hollow. The book description says The Dex Files deals with books 1-6. Besides I want to read more of Dex and Perry’s story vs. Dex’s POV right now. I have a feeling things heat up in book 6 and I WANT/NEED that!!! For those of you that have read this series, is there a good reason I should read TDF next?? 🙂
Michelle I think you’ll enjoy both of those. And you’re reading Mudvein? Everyone keeps saying that one is so dark. I know, you’re warming up for Bad Things. Ha!
Definitely let me know when you’re going to start Abduction. I’ll read it with you. Let’s hope it’s another Krylov great one. The blurb sounds awesome.
Michelle brave lady, not touching that one.
Cheryl I have the hardest time reading prequels after starting a series. I always want to move ahead. If that is what old blood was.
Jr Ward new series looks interesting. Read it has a downton vibe with its upstairs/downstairs stories.
Let me know when you guys are going to read abduction…. I’m in!
Fabi, this might for real be a good warm up for my eventual…yes eventual…Bad Things plunge. It’s dark and somber right now and layered with so much that it’s a book I think I will have to read again to even figure out half of it! Bev, I feel brave because I know the literary suckerpunch is coming…
Yey Jean! I enjoyed reading the last one with you all. Are you babystepping to Bad Things as well 😉
You guys are going to be disappointed if/when you read Bad Things. It’s nowhere near as violent as After, or God forbid, The Tied Man, or The Siren.
I haven’t started Archer’s Voice yet. I think I might watch a show tonight. I don’t know what I’m in the mood to read next. I’m really tempted by the Captive Prince or maybe back to the Kindred Brides. At least I know the KB books are not intense or angsty. Hmmm, I just don’t know. I pretty much read all day and now can’t decide what’s next. Maybe a YA. Ugh, I’m all over the place.
Lol right there with you Fabi. I think I’m going to put aside DSM until this weekend. Having a hard time focusing and think may pick up one of the more light reads.
Any way just saw a fun post Maryse put up . I’ll try and answer if you do, lol.
Lol I saw it. Not sure I can answer it though
I answered. It was fun.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
I’m going to try Matilda the Superwitch. I need something fun and light. Plus witches and magic are always fun.
I grabbed RL Mathewson’s new one. Also, Master of Crows by Grace Draven. Read a really positive review and mentioned slow burn. Sigh. Thought I had my one clicking under control.
Jean, I did love that series! I’m really looking forward to Chasing Abby after how everything ended in Bring Me Home. I’m thinking of starting CA after Red Fox, but then again I haven’t seen Friday’s list yet so…ya know how that goes. 😉
MichelleS, OMG that comment about the friends and neighbors for the photo shoot made me crack up!!! LOL!!!
Bev, so…I’m assuming you didn’t read Stealing Harper? I wasn’t a big Chase fan in Taking Chances (even though I cried through all of the stuff with him) but I fell for him in SH. My. Heart. Broke.
Chasing Abby is great so far Amy… I’m at 30%. And she has a friend named Amy who reminds me of you! Lol!
Michelle, Mudvein *is* really, really good. I say it is a 5-star read that I loved and hated because I hated how I felt when I finished it and yet loved it for the story it was, if that makes any sense. We’ve all heard that love and hate are two sides of the same coin, and Mudvein would be a perfect example of that for me. I can’t wait to hear what you think of it when you are finished. <—- On a sidenote about the "Michelles", I was wondering myself how many we have around here…I don't want to mix you ladies up!
Cheryl, I'm reading Red Fox right now. Creeeepy!!! But then again, that kind of stuff weirds me out BIG TIME!!
Jean, now I really want to start Chasing Abby! Yep, looks like I’ll be picking it up after Red Fox. 😀
What is Chasing Abby?
Amy um…no. I liked the guys it was Harper that upset me. Just no. In my mind I kept imagining them both leaving her and finding a different heroine. This one seriously upset me and not for the reasons it did everyone else, lol.
Amy it is creepy, but just wait it gets creepier, especially On Demon Wings.
