HAPPY TUESDAY NEW RELEASE DAY!!! It’s a decently big list coming in at 90+ new books today with a bunch that sound right up my book alley!
Blurb jolt list? Yep! 😀 Like ESPECIALLY that one up there to the left!! Birthday Girl by Penelope Douglas is a forbidden love story, and he took her in when she had nowhere to go but… “My sister once told me there are no good men, and if you find one, he’s probably unavailable. Only Pike Lawson isn’t the unavailable one. I am.” <— Oooooooooooh!!! :D!!! Traitor Born (A Dysopian and how could I not get a jolt reading this: Firstborns reign supreme. Secondborns kneel in servitude. Thirdborns face death.) *GASP!!* Not Your Cinderella (oh how I DO love a good modern-day Cinderella story!! He’s a Prince and she’s a barmaid, and he’s supposed to find someone to marry…), Chaser (KYLIE SCOTT’S LATEST!! He’s the bad boy falling for the pregnant girl, so he steers clear of her but “…When she goes into labor during a snowstorm and her car slides on some ice, however, it’s Eric who comes to the rescue..”), Too Much Information (Missy Johnson’s latest, and her brother’s new roommate has to get her out of an embarrassing situation… Tee hee!! Oh my. *blink blink*), April Fools (sounds like quite the love-triangle potential “…Owen is the sweet boy (turned sexy man) she dated in college; Asher is the hot hunk starring in too many current fantasies. Both, unfortunately, are her coworkers..”), The Pecker Briefs (SAWYER BENNETT’S’ latest!!! And LOL on the title, but I can assure you, it’s about a woodpecker. 😉 Er… at least most of the time. “Turns out my client is looking to bulldoze the red-cockaded woodpecker’s natural habitat in favor of a multimillion-dollar subdivision and the sexy attorney with legs for days (and days), just happens to be counsel for an animal rights group looking to put a halt to construction…”) OH AND!!! Rain (I can’t resist a reclusive man stuck caring for a woman in his sanctuary). 😉 Oh and!!! This one just went live too! Lily White’s Wishing Well (psych thriller!! A journalist interviews a death-row serial killer that manipulated and killed her twin!! GASP!!!! Oh I hope SHE wins this battle of wits. You just KNOW he’s going to play with her head…) and One Wild Night by A.L. Jackson & Rebecca Shea (She’s a kindergarten teacher and she stumbles into a Hollywood star!!! Quite literally). *snort*
I’m always up for one of those! GAH!! Lots of blurb jolts for me today, and I highlighted many more that sound darn good!!

- Purple Orchids (A Mitchell Sisters Novel) by Samantha Christy <— Kandace LOST HERSELF IN THIS SERIES!
Kandace: I’ve spend the week getting lost in a really good series. The series is A Michell Sisters Series by Samantha Christy. They are not fluffy books. They have a lot of romance but they all have to work for it. I love how complex all the sisters’ stories are. The first book is called Purple Orchard. The second book really hit me hard emotionally. I just started the third book and I can’t wait to see how last sister’s story goes.
- The Hot Shot (Game On Book 4) by Kristen Callihan <— Jean is digging this one!
Jean: I’m reading The Hot Shot (book 4 in The Game Plan series by Kristen Callihan) and really loving it! The whole series is great!
- Sinner’s Creed (A Sinner’s Creed Novel) by Kim Jones <— BAD-ASS BIKER BOOK ALERT!! MONA CRIED!
Mona: I have read many of the books listed on your site and have now found many that I plan to read. There are two books I’d like to suggest that I didn’t see in your book review list. I have read both numerous times and tear up every time I read them (I rarely cry from a book). The first is Sinners Creed by Kim Jones
and the second is Sinner’s Creed (A Sinner’s Creed Novel) by Shayne McClendon. I hope you give them a try and love them as much as I do! Thank you for your great blog and all of the suggestions!

Good Morning!! Started off this morning making good choices, Raisin Bran over Capn’ Crunch Sprinkled Donut cereal. Except….it doesn’t make me happy! Lol And I bought Tiffany Snow’s latest! 😀
Holy new shinies Batman!!!
There are so many goodies up there!
Gimme gimme
I am especially excited over Birthday Girl. Its perfect for taboo theme BR for one of my groups.
*tosses Tuesday glitter* look at the pretties! Enjoy Birthday Girl, everyone who I know will squirrel to it… I am finishing ACOMAF, then I have challenge reads to get to. Counting down the days…until spring break, Woot Woot!
*twirls in the sparklies*
I’m going to Penelope’s next. I am SO in for a good forbidden love romance!!!
Good morning! I just had to 1- click Birthday Girl! That’s next for me too!!!
Good morning. I am waiting in an airport so all the goodies look especially tempting. Also, to r eryone, of you haven’t done it yet, get your taxes done today. It’s the last day. 🙂
Tessa I am so glad I got mine done early. SO early even, that they forms couldn’t even be submitted online yet. LOL!!!!
I just added a psych-thriller by Lily White that just went live!! She interviews her twin’s manipulative murderer who is a serial killer on death row!!
OH! You got me with RAIN! An abused girl & a “recluse”! Determined to leave his crime-ridden life behind, Rain retreated deep into the Oregon woods. He has everything he needs. A beautiful home and a life of solitude.
Us and our recluses, huh Nancy?? LOL!!!!!!! 😛 I’m right there with you!
As for me, I’m on to The Real…a fantastic read by Kate Stewart is the sure thing I need after the epicness (is that a word?) that was the Transcend duet.
Amy let me know what you think of Duet!! I have that one too. I love her!
I just noticed you changed the Tuesday title. 🙂 And reading Traitor Born blurb got me off my butt and now I’m reading Secondborn, the first of the series.
Mona
I also have read Sinner’s Creed and loved it. On my shelf of keepers. Always makes the tears flow. Did you read the next book in the series?
Eeeee, had to immediately 1-click and start Birthday Girl and am absolutely LOVING IT. Boohoo for work, really struggling to put it down!
It’s so quiet. I miss you guys.
Let’s do three things:
1.) I just ate the last of my “BEST MEATLOAF I EVER MADE” and now I’m both satisfied and sad. 😉
2.) I’ve banned myself from buying any more makeup for a couple of months (I REALLY indulged myself with those darn tutorials, but I LOVE all of what I purchased so they were right!!)
3.) Contemplating on my next read. “Birthday Girl” or “The Real” or… ?What should I read next?
Wednesdays are always quiet around here!
1. I’m finishing up The Hot Shot which had just the right amount of sweetness and angst.
2. I need to ban myself from buying books! But that would be against my religion! I’m up to 2000 in my TBR…. they are books already purchased and I continue to 1- click! Please tell me I’m not the only one!
3. I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO READ NEXT EITHER! I bought Birthday Girl yesterday…. should I just jump in?
Maryse I don’t normally eat meatloaf but had the best in Lynchburg Tennessee on my recent vacation. We ate at this amazing place that used to be boarding home back in 1908. All the food was home cooked southern style! The restaurant was Miss Mary Bobo’s recommended to me by Renee (Nay)! So good and they sold cookbooks for all their recipes! You can find the books and recipes online!
Jean!! I bet it’s because they used BARBECUE sauce in the meatloaf instead of tomato sauce or ketchup. That was my latest twist (along with minced jalapeños) and I went CRAZY for it.
1. I’m moving to the patio to write today because the weather’s gorgeous and the wind finally died down.
2. At 7pm CST we’re doing a buddy watch of The Matchmaker’s Playbook if anyone wants to join us!
3. Tomorrow night I’m celebrating Emma Scott’s release of One Good Man with a crazy awesome group of writers. I go on at 6:20pm EST right before Jewel E. Ann. Totally fangirling! 😀 The whole thing starts at 4pm EST. https://www.facebook.com/groups/inkslingerreaders/
1. Sophie Kinsella’s I’ve Got Your Number is on sale for 2.99. My first and favorite book I’ve read of hers.
2. I’m reading The Deep End (The Country Club Murders #1) by Julie Mulhern. I’ve had it forever and was in the mood for a murder mystery.
3. I’m tired. So, so tired. And it’s a busy day/night. Softball season starts and it’s cold!! Hopefully weather cooperates and it doesn’t get cancelled.
1. It’ is snowing yet again. Nothing major, just disheartening.
2. Just finishing up Beautiful Victim, and it is all kinds of craziness!!
3. Smoky Mountain BBQ KFC chicken breast for the win!!!!!!!!
Are we back????
Yes Nay!!! WE ARE BACK!!!!!!! 😀
1. I’ve had a crappy migraine since Saturday. I’m hoping it’s finally about gone because migraines make it very difficult to read.
2. I have about 5 books that I want to start next–after I finish Beautiful Victim–a wonderful problem to have!
3. I feel lost when this site is down!!!
1. I started Traitor Born. Secondborn was really good and even better than I expected.
2. I got a new phone and case. The case is the fun part. It has the Eifel Tower and tons of passport stamps and postal stamps celebrating Paris and it says London on it. lol
3. So, for the couple, I had gotten them little Pop! of Kairi and Sora, the main characters from a game the couple like. (pop are kinda like bobbleheads without the bobbling). They had gotten Kairi and Riku already (unknown to me) but no Sora due to he’s hard to find and they wanted to display them at a table. So, I gave them my present early. SOMEONE STOLE KAIRI AND SORA! So they ended up leaving with only the second Kairi I bought them and Riku. Grrr. I will rectify this!
Yes Maryse, Jack Daniels BBQ sauce made right there in Lynchburg, TN!
Jean. We’re taste-bud twins!!!!
Maryse…do you mean The Real? I figured Diet was a typo… *scratches head*
Diet?
*scratches head*
*wonders if autocorrect attacked me somewhere below*
Okay I finished Transcend & Epoch and IT WAS EPIC!!!! OMG OMG you guys, 4:30am and I was sobbing into my pajamas top. Full on, runny nose, soul-deep ugly cry.
5 STARS SO HARD!!!!
I’ll be reviewing it tonight… I’m brain-dead right now in my night-reading sleepiness. LOL!!!!
OH WOW… that one really put me through the ringer and gave me all that tension, and stress, and love-triangle-y goodness, and my team won! LOL!
Okay, so it WASN’T my phone not letting me connect to the site!
Three things:
1. I want some lemon bars.
2. Someone gave me eggs from their chickens and I can’t wait to scramble ‘em and devour ‘em.
3. Snotty people upset me.
Oh my goodness, Maryse, I send a message and like magical *glitter* it’s all fixed! How’d I do that???
3 things
1) I don’t like it when the blog is down. I got thru withdrawals… Like shaky and stuff. Not pretty.
2) My kids are involved in too much stuff. My calendar looks like a crayon box threw up.
3) I made a homemade from scratch chicken bacon ranch pizza and it was to die for. The savages ate it all… I got one tiny itty little slice.
I’m stomping to the blankie fort…
Yeh you’re back!!!
1. My neck has been hurting the last few days. Tripped and hit my head, which in turn screwed up my neck. And sadly can’t even blame it on being drunk. Just a klutz.
2. Intrigued with the “glass face” look. Watched the video you posted several times Maryse.
3. Read On The Line from NetGalley. Really good sports romance,
I’m with you on the snot Amy! My son had like a week long cold and it wasn’t totally gone yet, but it was thick so I knew it’d leave soon. My daughter came home over the weekend sneezing and runny nose everywhere. My cousin’s kid comes over, snot smears all over her face (she can’t blow yet). Even a nasty booger by her eye. *gag* I’ve been tossing blankets in the wash, pillows, chasing ppl w/wipes and tissues and whining about the overload of snot in this house every day. Bleh!
Oh for the love of… 🙄 MY autocorrect went on the attack. I meant to say “Duet” after you said above to let you know what I think of it. I’m reading The Real so I assumed THAT was what you meant. 😉
LOL Tasha!! I meant snotty people as in those who act snotty and rude.
But now I have some gross images in my head right as I’m about to eat supper. BLECH!
JulieO
I did read the second book in the Sinner’s Creed series, but thought it was just okay. Nothing like the first book. No emotional connection. If you haven’t read Completely Wrecked by Shayne McClendon, it will totally suck you in and is hard to put down. If you needed tissues for Sinner’s Creed, you will definitely need them for Completely Wrecked. I love a good book with a lot of angst!
Oooohhh!! Lol *smacks forhead* I don’t like them either! But, I still can’t get the vision of ppl sniffling, sneezing, and wiping noses outta my head! Hahaha
Yay Maryse! Can’t wait to read your review! It was pure greatness, right?
Jean… YES!!!! PURE!!!!!!!!!
FLT: “YOU walk into the bookstore and you keep your hand on the door to make sure it doesn’t slam.” YOU by Caroline Kepnes. Only 17% in but loving it so far!
Oh yeah R!!! You is up your alley!! 😉 I loved it!
R, I’ve had that on my TBR for so long! Keep me updated!
FLT: He’s not answering. (Birthday Girl by Penelope Douglas)
Maryse, right?!? I finished it while in the pedi chair and had to hide my face while I cried and fought the sobbing. *sigh* They were amazing.

“The car came out of nowhere.” ~ The Real by Kate Stewart
We can never go wrong with Ms. Stewart. 😉
My FLT is short:
Pain.
Traitor Born by Amy Bartol
Loved, Loved, Loved Transcend and Epoch. I read Epoch slowly because I didn’t want it to end, or maybe because I was just too flippin’ nervous? I love her books. If anyone out there hasn’t read Jewel E Ann’s Jack and Jill series and is looking for another epic series by her I would highly recommend. Way different subject but so good. So many emotions… Just finished Birthday Girl which was very good. Somehow it reminded me of Thoughtless at moments and then it didn’t at all. Now clueless what to follow these up with??? Argh.

Sequel wasn’t nearly as good. But did like the revenge.
Will try the other book but I have a few others on TBR to read first.
Will get back to you when I finish.
Thanks for recommendation and send on any other.

“I take a deep breath and glance at the courier e-mail again.” Too Much Information by Missy Johnson. I needed something lighthearted and funny after Transcend/Epoch. 😉
I meant R. not Amy; although I do want to read that one too.
I will! I lost reading time this week but I’ll get back to it soon!

Just a quick check-in, fly-by! Hope you’re all having a great day and have a great book in your hands.
Not happy with Scandal ending. 🙁
Leslie–I still have to watch the last 2 or 3 episodes. I hate to hear you didn’t like it. Makes me think it doesn’t concern jam and Vermont–but I don’t want to know! lol I’ll try to watch the rest of the episodes next week.
Nay, can’t wait to hear what you think.
