Steph: I read three naughtly cheating books (a series) by Giana Darling. Lots of misspelled words and there were some timeline things that were screwy (I didn’t notice ’till I read it in other reviews. I loved it but I may have just been in the mood for some hot sex scenes.

She’ll announce a new date soon.

I want pumpkin spice too. 1st day for the oldest back to school today. I’m still sick, bleh. All these books are calling to me!! The last book I remember reading was All Your Perfects and it feels like months ago. 🙁
I love fall and winter, but I hate celebrating them to early.
I’m not a big pumpkin spice fan but having autumn in summer takes away the specialness for me.
Right now it’s hot and smoky and I want it to clear and cool down. But I want these last days of long summer nights. Of hearing the neighborhood kids outside playing. Of the day slowly cooling off.
I love the slow turn into fall. That first hint of crisp cold mornings. When you look around the first time and everything is green, gold, orange, and red. Love it.
And please no winter while its fall, that’s it’s own special time too.

I don’t mind having the pumpkin spice now (or all year long) because it tastes good and it’s something different, but it does bug the crap out of me to go into whatever store and see Halloween displays ALREADY. I went in Dollar General last week and they already had some of their Halloween candy out. The hubs and I saw some Thanksgiving stuff somewhere this weekend–can’t remember where.
But with the heat and the mosquitoes we’ve had this summer, I’m more than ready for fall to get here this year. I LOVE to smell the tobacco barns that are all over where I live. That’s how we always know that fall is officially here.

I just found out that I’m going to be a grandma tomorrow!! Rachel went to the doctor today and she found out she has toxemia, so since the baby already weighs 6-1/2 lbs, they’re going to go ahead and do the c-section tomorrow afternoon.
I want the pumpkin spice mostly. And I slowly buy Halloween stuff over these next two months so I can display them in October. Also, crafts. You have to buy crafts early.
That said, I found a LOT of recipes online about homemade fabric mediums to turn your acrylics into fabric paint. I tested it and yeah. It came out beautifully for a tester. I should have mixed it better (Seriously, I had a fork. I’m apparently out of straws) and ironed it to make the paint adhere better but pfft. It was bright and shiny. Next experimenting on a black small kid’s shirt I got from the dollar store. If the color appears brightly, woot! My niece has a new shirt. If not, well, at least I know I have to actually by fabric medium for dark colors.
Eeep, hope she’s healthy after the baby, and the baby is healthy too.

I read spoilers for Jamie McGuire’s and now I can’t read it. Same with Good Luck Charm… Why do I do this??! I picked up Everything I Want You to Be again yesterday. I’m havi g trouble on focusing on anything again though, so we’ll see if it sticks. There’s too much going on around here, I think. Hubby’s getting surgery now to ensure J is my last. MUAHAHAHA. I feel like a rookie being here as it has been so long as I have been MIA for about a year and just got back into reading; speaking a reading. I just finished “Bring Down The Stars” I am in awe of this book and can not say enough about it. I loved it so much definitely one of the best books I have ever read! I typically stay away from series unless they are all out as there is nothing worse than book torture waiting for the next one to come out and that is where I am at since book 2 is not out. In trying to find out when it will be…I read that Emma has not even been able to finish it yet due to her 10yr old daughter passing away 🙁 so sad and unfair. Now my hearts even more.
