- The Cocktail Collection: Wallbanger, Rusty Nailed, and Screwdrivered (The Cocktail Series) by Alice Clayton <— SERIES BUNDLE SUPER-BARGAIN ALERT!! OMG I LOVED WALLBANGER!!!! Kathy found us this awesome deal and I totally just one-clicked it!! 😀
Kathy: The Cocktail Collection by Alice Clayton is on sale… This is a three book series with the first being Wallbanger. Love this series. So funny!
Steph: Thanks for the heads up Kathy P. I am reading Wallbanger for my Pick For Me challenge so might as well get the other two to follow. These don’t go on sale very often.
Nay: thanks for posting the Cocktail Collection deal! I’ve only read Wallbanger (which I loved), so I’m scooping that up!
- Junkyard Dog: A White Horse Novel by Bijou Hunter <— GRUMPY GUY ALERT!!! This one came up in one of our reader questions, and JulieO just read it, too!
JulieO: Just finished JUNKYARD DOG the other day and really enjoyed it. She has a unique style of writing.
- The Upside of Falling (The Blue Line Duet Book 1) by Meghan Quinn <— Cheryl HIGHLY RECOMMENDS IT!!
Cheryl: I will say I just read Meghan Quinn’s Blue Line duet and I was pleasantly surprised. She’s usually my author I go to when I need something funny and over-the-top. This duet was not that. It was a well-written (not perfect) angsty story. Kinda a love triangle, that had me second- guessing how I thought this was going to end up. Recommend it and it’s KU!!!
- Wild Like the Wind (Chaos Book 6) by Kristen Ashley <— RECENT RELEASE & WE HAVE FEEDBACK! Nay enjoyed K.A.’s latest!!
Nay: So I finished Wild Like the Wind. It was super sexy. Hound is just..wow! He’s not Tack (there’ll NEVER be another Kane ‘Tack’ Allen), but he’s right up there. I SO agree with Julie O. The first third was really good and the last third was great, but the middle dragged at times.I’ve figured out that in the Chaos books, the more the story takes place at the Compound and the more it includes Tack, the more I love it, which probably explains why I don’t think I’ll ever love any of them as much as I did Motorcycle Man. And every time Hawk, Knight or Lee, Hank or the rest of The Hot Bunch have cameos, that’s a major bonus!
- Such a Lovely Couple by Linda Yellin <— AMY FOUND US AN ANGSTY (MARITAL STRIFE) BOOK-TREAT!!!
Amy: Morning ladies!! I found us a sale, and MAN does it sound like an *oomph!* one…Such a Lovely Couple by Linda Yellin is on sale… I’ll say it for you bev…it sounds like a death club book. But hey! The ending could surprise us with a nice little twist or turn of events, right? 😉 I could totally see bev rolling her eyes as soon as she reads the blurb for that one. *giggle*
Maryse: YAY AMY!!!!!!! TOTALLY MINE!!! *one-click* 😛
- Ravensong (Green Creek Book 2) by T.J. Klune <— RECENT RELEASE & WE HAVE FEEDBACK!! MichelleS LOVED it!
MichelleS: I finished Ravensong …Ravensong was tremendous. Darker than Wolfsong. All the feels! “dirt and leaves and rain”.
- Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes <— SUPER-SALE CLASSIC TEARJERKER ALERT!!!
Savannah: I love books that make you cry. My big criers would have to be Harry potter and the deathly hallows, mockingjay, les miserables, beyonders chasing the prophesy, of mice and men, flowers for algernon…… goodness there are so many!

While she struggles to adjust to this new subarctic environment, Jonah—the quiet, brooding, and proud Alaskan pilot who keeps her father’s charter plane company operational—can’t imagine calling anywhere else home. - Talon (SEALs of Steel Series Book 4) by Dale Mayer
- Ayden (Wild Men Book 3) by Melissa Belle
- It Seemed Like a Good Idea at the Time by Kylie Scott <— KYLIE SCOTT ALERT!!! HER DAD’S BUSINESS PARTNER… “…Fifteen years older than her, Pete had been her crush for as long as she could remember. But she’d misread the situation—confusing friendliness for undying love. Awkward. Add her father to the misunderstanding, and Pete was left with a broken nose and a business on the edge of ruin. I’m ALL over the coffee pods. Thanks, Grey!
Good morning!!
Good morning!!! Two coffee pods later off to the office!!! Just finished New Camelot series by Sierra Simone!! Definitely 5*****!!
Good morning everyone!! I could do with another cup of coffee, but I’m pretty “peppy” right now. 🙂
Thank you for the recommendation Linda!! 😀
Good morning!
Good morning!! *scoops up coffee pods and takes them to work*
Good morning! *grabs a coffee pod and considers a re-read of Hunger Games*
Morning ladies!!
I found us a sale, and MAN does it sound like an *oomph!* one…Such a Lovely Couple by Linda Yellin is on sale for .99, normally 9.99!
I’ll say it for you bev…it sounds like a death club book. But hey! The ending could surprise us with a nice little twist or turn of events, right? 😉
I could totally see bev rolling her eyes as soon as she reads the blurb for that one. *giggle*
YAY AMY!!!!!!! TOTALLY MINE!!! *one-click* 😛
Thanks, Amy! I just one-clicked because I really NEEDED a new book.
The Cocktail Collection by Alice Clayton is on sale for $1.99. This is a three book series with the first being Wallbanger. Love this series. So funny!
I’m going to add it to the sales section, Kathy!! Thank you!! 😀 GREAT FIND!!
Oh and I just read the first three books in the Beneath the Ink Series by Meghan March. Why did I wait so long to read these books? I binge read them over vacation and am now on the 4th book.
Maryse and Nay…right? RIGHT??
Do you think…we haven’t had one in so long…could it be…a…MARMY?!?
Thanks for the heads up Kathy P. I am reading Wallbanger for my Pick For Me challenge so might as well get the other two to follow. These don’t go on sale very often.
Ooh, maybe so, Amy!
Kathy P–are those angsty?
Kathy P–I was asking if the Meghan March books were angsty. And thanks for posting the Cocktail Collection deal! I’ve only read Wallbanger (which I loved), so I’m scooping that up! And I posted it for the ladies at GR.
Lol.
I’m not I promise. A little surprised they gave it away in the blurb though. But I guess about the journey not the shock.
I’m obsessed with this right now and yes you all can roll your eyes. I’d understand. I just love it and that the women do the same dance not just there to be sexy back up.
https://youtu.be/_cAskH1PtmQ
Nay, no the Meghan March series is not very angsty. No throwing your Kindle, I promise.
Also all of Rebecca Yarro’s books are on sale for $.99 for 2 days only. Her Renegade Series about extreme stunt sport performers is one of my favorite series.
Thank, Kathy. I’ll skip it for now, then. lol
Maryse Beautiful Burn by Jaime Maguire is free!
Can I share a video that made me laugh even though it is about K dramas?
LOL, Nay.
Just in the store watching a group of teenagers decide who is going to hold the box of party shot glasses. Lol.
Ok, I’m going to share because it makes me laugh. And I’ve needed that.
It’s from SNL Korea called Grow a Boy. She grows a boy and teaches him all the romantic moves you see in dramas and how it goes wrong.
Though if you don’t watch k drama it might not be funny?
*shrug*
It’s in 2 parts but just 2 min each.
Part 1:
https://youtu.be/_MbLZDczWaw
Part 2:
https://youtu.be/vmuPmWAVFoc
Which is also a bit sad, lol.
I just have to share. I am reading a book so good, let me emphasise soo good. I dont know how I have never read it before. Nay recommended it for me. It’s called ARSEN. I can’t do anything this book is consuming me.
Everyone needs to read Arsen if they haven’t read it already.
OMG YAYYYYYY!! Another Arsen addict. Doesn’t matter WHEN that book was released, it still has THAT effect on those that just read it for the first time. I LOVE THAT!!!!!!!
No.
I couldn’t get through Thoughtless.
Nobody wants to go through that again. 🙂
*bites fist and quietly squeals*
*giddily waits for the onslaught of SQUEEEEEEES from our Arsen-loving crew over Melinda’s comment*
Here bev… *slides a bottle of Jager over* Go through that.
Isn’t ARSEN the book where she had that wonderful husband?
*squeeeeee* Told you so, told you so, told you so! *Grabs Maryse, Amy, Nay and Ela and dances in a little circle* ohhh, Arsen!
WHY DIDNT YOU GRAB ME EARLIER AND TELL ME HOW GOOD IT WAS.
GREY,YOU EVEN HAD A PFM AND DIDNT PICK IT.
I really thought, I had read it. But no, I’ve never read this book.
Yes, she does have the most gorgeous husband. And I want to take her down.
Because… I get nervous with some of my ATF’s… They’re my babies and I get very cautious about sending them out…what if someone doesn’t like them? (blasphemy, I know!)
Grey, I am the same way. Some books are sacred and MUST be loved!!!
If someone doesn’t like Twilight, I don’t think I can be friends with them. 😉
I just bought a bunch of Rebecca Yarros books and the Cocktail bundle that are on sale. One of the kindle daily deals is The Birthday List by Devney Perry…that was a good one!
Melinda–I think we mentioned Arsen a time or two. lol You must have been absent that day. I’m so glad you’re lurving it!!
Can somone give me the code to a few of the emoticons that can be used here? I want to test something and I want to make sure I remember how y’all do them.
*someone (I tried to correct it and got my hand slapped)
Finished. 10 big stars.. To be honest. It has been mentioned a lot. But I was sure I had read it. But no, I hadn’t. Thank you Nay.
I think I was pulling my hair out at the end. Or I was going to punch Cathy out.
And Grey, you must have mentioned 10 times how good it was.
That’s exactly my kind of book. I just have to listen more closely next time.
Still love ya.
Just like Beautiful Player, I think you got me to read that too.
New book twin. Great rec
I loved Arsen too – although I’m pretty sure I also wanted to take her out back and slap her around a bit!
Loved Arsen. LOVED it.
“I’m afraid.” GAH!!!!
The Husband’s Secret by Liane Moriarty is on sale for 2.99, down from 9.99!
*squee* I’m dancing around. Love Arsen. I may have to do a reread… well, not anytime in the near future, I have a PILE of ARC’s that have to be read ~ like now. 😆 I did finish the proof I was working on. So there’s that… that will make a lot of people excited… it made me excited!
Hard to believe that summer is winding down already… I’ve got a trip to Virginia Beach planned in a couple weeks, so I’m ready for some a$$ in the sand time.
I can not seem to get into GR anymore. It took along time for me to sign up and then I was there all the time.
And now?
Nope.
I just realized the icon has fallen away from my search page.
*breaks out in hives imagining a life without Goodreads*
Awww, looks like I missed the Cocktail series sale. Have read just the first tow. 🙁
I LOVED Arson ,but agree wanted to slap some sense in the h multiple times!
Off to last day of summer school!!
Happy National Book Lovers Day! *wishes I could throw some free books around*
Maryse–I almost forgot–could you please add a new release for today to the list?
It’s The Man in Black by Soraya Naomi, a standalone in the Chicago Syndicate mafia series.
Thanks!

FLT: THE ALPHA said, “We’re leaving.” TJ Klune, Ravensong
Suanne gave me a Wolfsong recap last night so I could jump in without having to re-read it first. Though I really want to read it again, but impatience and all. I’m in the happiest of places. 🙂

“IAN.” ~ Someone Else’s Ocean by Kate Stewart
bev…I get it. I love how GR can track the books I’m reading or finished because it is linked to my Kindle app, but I hardly ever go on the site itself. This is my “home.” *shrug*
FLT: Numbness slowly seeps through my body. (Crashed, book 3 of Driven series by K. Bromberg). LOVING!!!
Yay Jean!!! *happy dance*
So glad you are enjoying Driven.
Amy, Maryse trumps Goodreads anyday!!! 🙂 This IS our home. *group hug*
The Summer Children by Dot Hutchison is on sale for 2.99! Book 3 in The Butterfly Garden Trilogy, I believe. Also, Fool’s Assassin by Robin Hobb is on sale for 1.99. It sounds good, I think I’m in the mood for fantasy.
I finished Devil in Spring recently, loved it!! Also, watched 2 movies on Netflix. The Fundamentals of Caring (SO good!) and also Like Father (also good) :).
I can’t keep up with GR chatter, but I do like keeping track of books and seeing what everyone’s reading and enjoying (or not enjoying).

Warmth envelops me, and I smile at the feeling of peace blossoming within me.
Silver Blood by Tamara White
I’ve been busy for the last few days. :/ I’ve been reading but not on the computer as much. However, one thing really stood out.
Amy, it depends on the series by Meghan March. The Mount trilogy was full of angst. I think the one I have in my TBR might be too, considering it’s a spinoff. 🙂 It should be, darn it!
Tessa–that was me asking about the angst. I’ve held off on reading the Mount Trilogy because I read it had connections to the Beneath series and I didn’t want to miss anything, especially any character development.
But, UGH, the Beneath series has 7 books, which is so daunting, especially if it’s not majorly angsty, so maybe I just need to forget it and move on to the Mount Trilogy?? What do you think?
I think you should watch a kdrama.
Tasha, I loved Devil in Spring! I need to read the rest of that series! Not my normal genre.
You have to read Devil in Winter. But you have to read the preceding two books first for that one.
Or one of my favorite LK’s. Gah. Derek Craven.
Dreaming of You.
Oh bev, I just looked it up. Sounds good! Does book 1 need to be read first?
Um, holy crap…
Consequences Box Set by Aleatha Romig… 99 pennies. Do it. Do it now.
https://www.amazon.com/Consequences-Box-Set-Aleatha-Romig-ebook/dp/B00GME98Z6
Nay, I haven’t read the Beneath series at all. I don’t think I missed anything. I can see what couple it might be about, but it didn’t affect the series I read at all.
Jean, I still have not read the first one of that series. So…no, lol. I need to though. That and her newest release are the two HRs of hers I haven’t read.
Of course when I first read them it was way before digital when I had to hunt through libraries and bookstores.
Oh…the good old days.
Maryse is “my home”. You can get practically anything here and we are not just talking books
Cooking recipes
Drink recipes
Nail polish recommendations
Frizzy hair fix’s
A podium to complain abt how I don’t like big beards
But mainly a sisterhood. I feel closer to you guys and don’t even know where you live. I take your advice on things other than books to read. Don’t know if Maryse intended this when she started this but she has all of us now and I bet she has many lurkers out there who listen to us but have never made themselves known. That’s ok, I did that for 6 months. You are stuck with us now Maryse, this is my home!!
Thanks, Tessa. That’s good enough for me! I’ll start it after I finish the other ten I want to start asap. lol I haven’t had time to read all week and I’m afraid that Tairen Soul isn’t pulling me in. I may need to switch to something else to get me going again and then go back to it.
Delimma.
I really want to watch Crazy Rich Asians.
So…book first or not. I’m on hold at the library which could take forever.
So do I buy and read it this weekend or just say to hell with book first and watch the movie.
She has made a lovely home.
Full of drunk short people.
Full of drunk short people dancing to Kpop. 😛
Lol.
Oh my God, Amy. KPop fans are no joke.
There is some drama going down with my poor Pentagon and favorite E’Dawn. 🙁
I wonder if Maryse mom is short and would like dramas? If she like handsome men, interesting fashion choices, and ramen?
