Maryse and everyone, I’m soooo excited to tell you about a book I just finished! It’s called If by Randi Cooley Wilson. This is the first book I’ve read by this author, and OMG what a book. It reminds me a little of the Avoiding series by KA Linde. The main characters meet freshman year of college. Oh the angst with these two! Eeek! It’s never the right time for them. I don’t want to give anything away, it’s that good. This book is right up there with Unbreak My Heart by Nicole Jacquelyn. Now if you know anything about me, that is one of my all time favorite books and nothing can top it. If is giving it a run for the money. You guys have to read this glorious book!

Good afternoon! I want to read Unbreakable by Emma Scott! I’ve never read it. Slogging through The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah. I’m afraid to set it aside because I’ll never get back to it.
Maryse and Amy – since you both talked about yummy meatballs, I’m wondering if you have your fave recipes? I only make regular Italian meatballs and am intrigued by the ones you mentioned.
Leslie M – I just made regular meatballs out of Italian sausage (didn’t add egg or any breadcrumbs) just made them into balls without compressing them too much, dropped into a jar of my fav spaghetti sauce, and I add whatever..
The other is Swedish meatballs that I’ll need to get the receipt again from my sister (she made them twice while she was at my place). AMY is the meatball knowi-it-all. 😉 I need to know what her favs are.

Last night I realised there is a NEW PAGANO BROTHERS book out. Sweeet. Hidden Worthiness by Susan Fanetti. It came out earlier this month but somehow I missed it. Anyhoo, I’m already totally hooked and can’t seem to stop reading. Scarred mafia man and ballerina. 😀
New Cherise Sinclair coming out on Jan 29th too. Not a Hero. #1 in a new series, Sons of the Survivalist. Could be good. I’m not a massive bdsm fan, so I’m hoping this one doesn’t go too far down that path. Can the shy introvert and the deadly police chief find a life together?????? Could be right up my alley 😀

I DNF’d the first of that fae book. I didn’t like the way the heroine and everyone talked. NOTHING happened in the first quarter of the book. I kept expecting action, but I got Jane Austin style gossip. Not really my thing. She was supposed to be the rebel and at no point, did she sound like the rebel. More like the one who is telling everyone how to behave. *frowns* Never saw a fairy!
Erin I read it in less than 24 hours. Just could not stop till they got their HEA. I really liked it. Yeah I don’t know how I missed it either, but it’s one of the better Pagano books, for sure.

Back from my trip to VA to be with my dad when he had surgery. He did great with his back surgery and is home too.
Tired, because got back really late last night. Thank goodness I’m off today. NEED to go to the grocery store. My daughter told my hubby while I was gone, that he was so not Mom- he dropped the ball with running out of milk and other things. 🙂 NIce to be appreciated. Need a good recipe for dinner.

We did turkey burgers, cube steak w/noodles and veggie, meatloaf w/air fried potatoes, and bow tie pasta w/sausage and marinara this last week. Pizza tonight and bbq shredded chicken for quesadillas or sandwiches tomorrow. Friday I’m doing a lemon garlic roasted shrimp recipe from Ina Garten I found, served over noodles or rice, broccoli and crusty bread. Any of those sound good? Lol

I’m still reading slow. Its mostly on weekends. I need to up my energy. I want to read on commute home, but sometimes I feel so tired I just want to veg out to music and check in on blogs.

Oooh Maryse, sausage balls! I like that idea. I bet even beef Italian meatballs would be yummy if you subbed half with ground sausage.
I always see so many diff recipes for funky meatballs using ground chicken or Turkey and I’m afraid to try them without someone I trust telling me if they are good first. Nothing worse than an epic food fail.

It’s from Speakeasy by Sarina Bowen. I’m a little late to the party with this series (True North), but I’m working my way through ’em. The series is set in Vermont, abut mainly connected characters, which I like. This is #5. It started off well, but has slowed down a little now. But I will finish it. It’s a little different for me cos the h is bi and I haven’t read many books with bi characters.

OMG–I just noticed ‘reminds me’, ‘Avoiding series’, and ‘oh the angst’–I’m all over that! I had already put “If” on my tbr, solely based on the cover, which I rarely do. And it’s KU! I have so many books that I plan to read ‘next’, but this is definitely going on the short list!
