I didn’t get around to watching The Order last night. Broken Wing consumed me. Gah, so much awesome in a book.
After that, Sin and Suffer, and Risky Play for sure. Now, Violent Delights. Beyond the mafia thing, look at that cover. THAT’S A COVER! I love how artsy it looks. A lot of photoshopped accents that really came together, instead of being cluttered. 😀

Speaking of covers…I want to click Hissy Fit because of the blurb (I can relate to being klutzy; anyone remember my fall-in-Target-and-show-my-thong fiasco? :oops:) but the look on the guy’s face on the cover is making me cringe. CRINGE. And I can’t even pinpoint why. Maybe it’s the almost-ducklips he’s doing? *sigh*

I cut sweet J’s bangs this morning. I kind of want to cry. He’s had the best set of hair outta all my kids. He was born with a mowhawk that never fell out! All my kids hair usually falls out and they rock a 3 stooges type hair growth for about a year till things start moving along. But, not J!! And when it was messy it’d look so cool! I could’ve moussed it into a hawk everyday or cut and I cut and it’s so short! I just can’t get over how odd it looks.
It’s just ’cause it’s brand new to you, to see, Tasha. You’ll get used to it, and it will grow back into itself in no time.
And I have to agree about the Surviving Time premise. Click! The first book I read by her, Every Which Way, was great. CR can write a good love triangle. Severine (ha, I still remember her name!) is emotionally tough but not obnoxiously so, and when she gets hurt it is ROUGH and full of feels. I can still vividly recall the coffee shop parking lot scene…it was heartbreaking and yet so satisfying. Hard to imagine those two feelings at the same time, right? 😉

I’m still thinking about Solene and Hayes….sigh…..). Oh and MVP by Rachel Van Dyken…..it’s a short book, but TOTALLY ROCKED MY WORLD!! Also, just finished The Work Wife….really good!!

Would you wear a pair of jeans that fit great when you put them on, but start sagging throughout the day and have them tucked? Or would you get the smaller size that is slightly more difficult to button and more restricting around the butt and upper thighs, but they don’t sag? And it would be more comfy to have them unbuttoned to sit, but you manage?
Tasha, I’d get smaller size and do squats to stretch ’em out! 😉 I cannot stand baggy or non fitted clothes.

I’m just so used the the flexibility that leggings give you, it’s so uncomfortable getting used to jeans. I think I’m really between sizes, but they don’t come in even numbers.

Just finished broken wings. Loved it! 5 star for me. However it ends in a cliff hanger and I cannot wait till the next book which doesn’t look like it’s scheduled to be released till June. Bummer!

Tasha J – what about jeggings? I’ve decided never to wear real jeans again. You can get really cute ones that look like real jeans. They always fit me great and are stretchy enough but don’t sag.
I have two pairs of jeggings (in blue and a pair of black) that look like the real thing. People can’t get over that they aren’t real… the print is done so well. I LOVE them ’cause they are so cozy, and this inside is flannel, so they’re soft too!!
1 of them were jeggings. Lol. I really need an in between size. After wearing the small size all day yesterday (bc I exchanged the bigger size for smaller) I think I’d rather have them tucked. It’s ok standing, but even better unbuttoned. Especially sitting. Jeans are so annoying, this is why I don’t wear them. Leggings come in one size and we don’t have problems.

from The Black Hawk by Joanna Bourne. Another in a series I’m reading of spy-themed historical romances, set around Napoleonic times. It’s good.
I like this first line because you already know (from other books) that Meeks Street is the secret, very secure headquarters of the (fictional) British secret service. So it’s a gripping opening.
It is Thursday isn’t it. I was off yesterday too!

OH! For RH lovers, Tessa Cole’s series, The Nephilim’s Destiny, is insanely good. The romance is a slower build but the characters, plot and overall arc is awesome. And each one is a “mystery” that ends in HFN with the overall storyline going through all the books. 😀
