WEDNESDAY BREAKING NEWS UPDATE!! LOOKIT WHAT JENN FOUND US!! Cold Cole Heart <— K. WEBSTER’S LATEST IS LIVE! ➔➔➔➔
SERIAL KILLER ALERT!!! Eeeeeeep!! This author is the queen of not holding back, when it comes to her stories… and this one sounds like one heck of a psych-thriller (possible love story??)! 😉 Right up my creepy-stalker alley! HE’S TAKING REVENGE FOR WHAT SHE (his mother??) DID TO HIM…
“…Finding the evil, spoiled women sates my ravenous, vengeful soul.
I hunt. I capture. I destroy.Slowly. So slowly. One, two, three, four, five…And now six.I’m wicked and sadistic.I am Cold Cole Heart. My mission is death and their payment to me has come due.Number six thinks she is different.Yet when I look at her, I see them.
She will pay. They always do…”
Good morning everyone!!! 😀 This is one of the BIGGEST new release lists in months! And a quite a few look extra good to me!
Blurb jolts! Tragic (latest by Devney Perry which I read and loved. He’s a reclusive grump, and she just moved in next door), Deception (she was deeply in love with him, living her perfect life, and then realized he wasn’t at all who he said he was…), Tequila Tequila (she had drunk bad sex with her best friend and he doesn’t remember it at all), Pucked Love (Helena Hunting’s latest!! Famous hockey star that is letting her set all of the rules, and they are both so broken…), A Part of You (psych-thriller?? She and her husband are having infertility issues, and then there’s the surrogate…) and so many more that I highlighted below that sound awesome!!

Happy Tuesday!! Off to work. *chugs coffee*
Good Morning everyone! Just Devney Perry for me today. Currently reading Bloodstained Beauty from the Friday post. 🙂
Steph… how are you liking it. It seemed so dark and ominous!!!
Good morning! What a wonderful, huge list–surely I can find something to hoist me out of this slump!
ENDLESS (Merciless Book 4) is the last book in the series, but is the absolute best book in the series. Merciless, Heartless, Breathless, lead up to Endless. That this is the thrilling ending of the series is what makes it the best book of the bunch. What an ending to the series! Willow Winters has the most ‘powerful’ writing that I have read in I don’t remember when. From page one till the dramatic end, this book held my attention.
YAY!!! Thank you for the recommendation, Nancy. I’ll put up the reading order guide with your quote. 😀
Morning! I have been out of bed for over 3 hrs but can’t seem to get moving. I think more coffee is needed.
Going to make an ooey gooey baked ziti tonight.
Haven’t been reading too much as I’m not really in mood. *gasp* This time of year my guilty pleasure is cheesey/made for tv Christmas movies! I love them. The more ridiculous & cringey the better. 😉
HALLMARK MOVIES!!!! And Lifetime too. And the Disney Channel. Just pure, glowing happiness.
Good Morning!
Steph-I am reading Bloodstained Beauty too just started yesterday and almost done; 97%
Leslie-that is one of my fav; YUM now I am hungry 🙂
Maryse-In regards to Bloodstained Beauty; other than the blurb you posted I read nothing about this book and just went in blind. That is the best way to experience this amazing book. It captivated me from beginning to end as I am done now. It overwhelmed me, consumed me and yes had me questioning my sanity. (love when that happens) It was freaking amazing! Lived and Loved every word of it!
Jenn–thanks for the info! After starting about ten different books over the last 2 weeks (some of them I only read one page), I just KU’d Bloodstained Beauty–I’ve been hearing a lot about it, but I haven’t read the blurb or any reviews, so I’m going in blind.
I’m going to get myself a bowl of Apple Jacks and tuck in!
Absolutely Nay-Hope it’s a good one for you too. 🙂 I am finding that if I switch up the genre of books frequently I enjoy them so much more because I am not comparing one to the other. so as of late that is what I have been doing! 🙂
Good morning everyone! I finished the audio of Hate to Love You this morning. It was a nice angsty one for sure. I don’t know how it would read since I listened to the audiobook and I firmly believe that sometimes that can either make or break a book for me. That said, if you do give it a go, bear with it…you’re going to really dislike the h initially until you start to see what her background has been and even though you won’t excuse the things she’s done…you will start to see why she is so flawed. It was an exhausting journey to their HEA but well worth it.
Did Leslie really have to mention ooooeeey gooooey baked ziti so early in the day…now my stomach is rumbling!
I’m in reverse from some of you. I have a DVR full of taped shows and movies and all I seem to want to do is read. Hubby wants to start deleting things but I won’t let him because I know the time will come where I’ll want to watch them.
There are some yummy looking books up there…but I have to say (and I rarely say this), I think A Part of You will be a hard no for me. If someone reads it and finds it to be otherwise, please let me know but as of now that one has me totally cringing! I mean I’m out with the line “arranges for her husband to sleep with Hannah…” I think I would want to cut his *#%! off on behalf of his wife…just saying…baby or no baby.
On that note, everyone have a lovely day!!
MicheleG-I am the same as you; I have minimum 6 weeks of shows to watch but when I have time I just want to read; nothing else. As matter of fact guess what I am reading now….. The Wall of Winnipeg and Me. 🙂
Jenn–TWOWAM is one of the 10 books I tried to start! I decided something laboriously long or slow burn wouldn’t be a great idea for me right now.
I know this was pretty popular around here. Unloved by Kate Regnery is on sale for $0.99! Regular price $5.99.
Nay-I didn’t realize how long of a book it is-hopefully I can stay focused.
Jenn – The Wall of Winnipeg and Me is one of my ALL time favorite books! I’ve read and listened to it about a dozen times! I’ve actauly been in the mood to do a relisten.
I read Heartbreak Warfare this weekend and it was beyond amazing! I still can’t get it out of my head. So so so so good!
I listened to Fight or Flight by Samantha Young today and I really liked it. I love her books and this one was the perfect companion for my day. It made me laugh, smile and cry.
Great list! I just tore through Heartbreak Warfare! Loved it!
Hmm. I’m tempted by Tragic and Before Girl. Might download the samples of both of them. And I’m looking forward to the new Mary Balogh HR later this month (Someone To Trust). It’s OWYM, which I didn’t used to like that much, but I’ve read a few now that I’ve liked so we’ll see.
I’m reading and liking Bulldozer at the moment. P Dangelico’s new one.
Thanks for another great list, Maryse. *hugs Maryse*
Ashley-Thank you I’m really liking it!. Heartbreak Warfare I agree amazing. It’s been over a week for me since I finished and still thinking about them. I think they just maybe in my heart forever!
I started Before Girl last night. Still too soon to decide if like it or not. Funny, but a little slow to start. The h is a curvy, confident woman and the H seems shy/reserved but with some badboy peeking thru. We’ll see.
An example from BG:
“I’m not really a flowers-and-proper-dates girl,” I said, fully aware of his thigh muscles tightening under my hand. “I’m more of a burgers-and-football girl, to be honest. Baseball or hockey since we’re in the off-season. Basketball too. Burgers, sports, nothing proper. I’m not proper.”
Cal rested his forehead on my shoulder with a quiet groan. “Marry me, Stella. Marry me and bear my children.”
One more thing, he’s 42 and she’s 35. A refreshing change from college-age MC’s.
Maryse- K.Webster book “Cold Cole Heart” I refuse to read reviews but all 5* reviews on Amazon so far and avg rating on GR 4.88.
Jenn did it just go live??? I’m checking it out. Thank you!!! 😀
OMG I just saw it Jenn. Right up my creepy-stalker alley!!!!!!! :D!!!!!
Cheryl-That book sounds good…let’s us know once your done your final thoughts 🙂
oh yes Maryse…right up mine too 🙂
Jenn–Yes, TWOWAM long AND slow burn. But I loved Kulti (it’s one of those books that gives my heart a tug every time I think about it) so I have to read it eventually.
And I’m LOVING Bloodstained Beauty. What a surprise! It’s like nothing I’ve ever read. I so enjoy finding books like this that stand apart from the rest. It reminds me of something Jewel Ann would have written, yet it’s still in Ella Fields’ distinct romantic style.
*starts doing happy dance Pain by Jaymin Eve and Jane Washington is released today. It’s the final book of the series. I’m hoping after this, they work together again. It’s the perfect mix of story writing and character development. 😀
Also, did you all vote in the final round on Goodreads?
Nay you will have to go back to TWOWAM at some point…it’s worth it! It’s slow burn but sooo good! Hang in there with it Jenn!
Totally adding Before Girl to my TBR (yay it’s KU), intrigued by Cold Cole Heart, anddd moving Bloodstained Beauty up on my list….when do I plan to sleep…?
Oh, did ya’ll see the trailer for Dumplin on Netflix December 7?!! Looks GOOD!! 🙂
YAY NAY 🙂 *happy dance* I am so glad you are; I felt the same way which is why I devoured it in less than 24 hrs-so freaking awesome!!!! OH and definitely reading something out of your norm at least for me is what typically can get me out of a slump; or re-reading a favorite always helps too. In regards to TWOWAM; I actually prefer “slow burns” when they are done right because I love the build up….the insta-love stories are not so much for me, but some have definitely worked 🙂
MicheleG-I have not had too much time to read but am sticking with it for sure. Absolutely move Bloodstained Beauty up and if you want to BR Cold Cole Heart let me know and I will wait to read it with you when your ready.
Tessa-I voted but most books nominated I have not even read *sigh* so just stuck with the two categories I could vote in.
Tasha-I have not seen the trailer for this…*runs off to watch trailer*
I only voted on 4 categories. Best of the best, romance, fantasy, and YA fantasy. (Cruel Prince better win!) 😛
Oh Dumplin does look good!! And yes, I voted…and I did my part for Cruel Prince, Tessa.
Jenn, if you don’t mind waiting…I can probably be ready to BR Cold Cole Heart by the weekend…would that work for you? Anyone else want to join us?
Absolultely Michele-just say when and I’m there 🙂 That gives me from now till than to finish TWOWAM.
I think my book New Years Resolution is to read a few more books that may be in contention for the GR Choice Awards. I had hardly read any this year and that really bugged me. If I’d read a little more in some other genres (books that are actually ON my tbr), I could’ve participated in about 4 or 5 more categories.
I know it may be difficult to pick, but certain author are no-brainers (like CoHo–her book I DID actually read), and there are always psych thrillers and women’s fiction books that people are really buzzing about.
Tasha–did you read a lot of books from the original nominee list? You’re always mentioning books from diverse genres that you’re wanting to try.
FLT: “People are afraid to merge on freeways in Los Angeles.” Less Than Zero by Bret Easton Ellis
3 things:
Pepperoncini pot roast in Crock-Pot! Yay! Snow storm coming tonight, so that felt like a good wintery meal.
I’m currently listening to Torn by Carian Cole and I am not loving it. 🙁 My issues are that it’s long and slow AND it’s one of those “not really a standalone” (I didn’t realize this was a spin off). I feel like I am missing a lot of backstory & that I should know characters. I hate that.
Trying to motivate myself to rake leaves before snow comes.
FLT: “I was swinging upside down by my knees on the monkey bars in our back garden the first time I met him.” Carnage: The Story of Us (yep the book many of you love to hate)
R. That is not true. TOURIST are afraid to merge onto to LA freeways.
Michelle, I just hate. 😛 I don’t like her, but many did like the story. I just couldn’t get past hating both the h and the H in it, though I hated her more.
I don’t know what I want to read! I wanted to read Tame by Chloe Walsh but it included characters from her Broken series which I haven’t touched. If anyone has read it, do you need to read the Broken series first?
WAIT! I own the first of the Broken series. I got it for free! I know what I want to read. 😀
I kept waiting and waiting for the Friday list, and I kept thinking, “what the heck is up, Maryse? Is something wrong and you can’t post it yet?”
Then I realized it is only Thursday. 🙄

“Dean, Dean Martin!” ~ The Fall by Kate Stewart
She’s already put a couple of quotes from Room 212 at the beginning of the prologue and first chapter! *squeeeeeee!!!* Since I’m not indulging in KS’s Heartbreak Warfare…
No, Nay, I hardly read any. But, I had a bunch of them on my list. I knew they’d be good! 🙁 No time this year for any reading. As excited as I am when a book I want to read is released, I’m so tired or I have running that needs done or cooking to do and laundry backed up or dishes or an extra (I try to fit in 1 a day) and kids to feed or bathe or whatever, that I just don’t read anymore much in my “spare” time. I always have to make time for reading. And I don’t have the energy right now. Lol
I hardly have time for tv too and have to make time for that, but at least if I fit in a show or movie, I can get the whole story quick.
Oh yeah, Tasha! I forgot that “small” detail of your pregnancy and new baby! I guess I’ve just heard you mention a lot of the books. But still, I think you manage to get many more read than I did when I was in your shoes. I remember those days very well–I actually quit reading for about 10 years because I just fell asleep every time I tried. I was selling vintage pottery and dinnerware on ebay, so the only books I read were reference books that had to do with the stuff I was selling.

(It’s not what you think! Get your minds out of the gutter (where mine was when I read it!) lol
I wore my outfit today, with the black tights and tall black hooka boots 😉 😛 And they worked great together!! I was gonna try the cream tights n brown ankle too to see what I liked better, but it took 2 ppl to get those tights on, so *shrug*. Thanks ya’ll for the input!
It was definitely easier at the newborn stage. Now, he’s almost 6 months and has his own special crawl. All he wants to do is go.
I suppose I’ve read quite a bit, just not everything I wanted to. Or even half of what I wanted to. I thought with the booger starting preschool I’d get 2 1/2 hours twice a week to read all to myself. And church I should get 2 hours once a week. The big one has swim twice a week where I should get an hour and a half. But, not once has any of that happened yet.
Tasha, it’s amazing how the time just gets eaten up.
Right now it’s hours. Soon it’ll be years!
Our little J-man is crawling!!
Aw shucks. You go, little J-man. That’s cool.

It started out as a game, an exercise in observation not unlike assault drills from Army Ranger school.
from Before Girl by Kate Canterbary. My first book by this author, I think. SFSG. I’m not sure what an army ranger does, but the H is pretty hot anyways. Now he’s a surgeon. I like that both H and h are older.
Amy, I thought the same thing. Checked several times for the friday list. LOL.

He was in the military, but is now a CT surgeon. The MC’s are opposite of how they usually are. She has her “set” hook-ups, doesn’t want to date, busy with work and assertive. He is shy, reserved and really wants to have a relationship with her.
LOL Jan, just notice we are reading the same thing!
Ooh. Book twins Cheryl 😀
