in Latest Book Releases

Good morning and Happy New Release day!! The last big one of the month!! I’ll be adding to it throughout the day, but it’s pretty well loaded (and I highlighted a bunch that sound right up our alley), so I’m posting it. ;)

Keep checking throughout the day for additions (or let me know if I missed any).

P.S. While you’re here, don’t forget to check out yesterday’s earlybirds, and my latest review:

Melinda: I have just finished a fantastic book. You know the one, can’t go to bed, walking around with book in hand. And the annoying family that make you reread the same page 10 times. Drum roll it’s called “Binding 13” recommended by Jan easy 5 stars. I loved it. It’s a rugby player book. The book is written really well. I think it’s 825 pages. The author is Chloe Walsh.

Jan: It’s GOOD everybody. Well worth the read. And here’s me all liking an NA bully book. What’s going ON???????? …NA and bullies aren’t usually my fav. But there was just something mesmerising about this book. I got drawn right in and I just had to keep on reading.

Leslie M September 25, 2018 at 6:27 AM

Happy Tuesday! *plays in the glitter*

Lots of goodies up there! I am starting to get stressed as my TBR is out of control and it’s overwhelming me. First world problems and all….

Ok, definitely making pepperoncini pot roast today!! I can’t wait til 5:00. *stomach grumbles*

Jenn September 25, 2018 at 6:55 AM

Happy Tuesday! *dances in the glitter*

Leslie-I am overwhelmed to and right now I think I am reading a book that is going to break my heart. Is that pot roast the same as some call “Mississippi Pot Roast” if so YUM as that is my favorite!

Leslie M September 25, 2018 at 7:14 AM

Jenn, yes! Mississippi/pepperoncini pot roast.

Maryse September 25, 2018 at 8:32 AM

MY FAVORITE too!!!! I think I’m going to make it this weekend.

Jenn September 25, 2018 at 9:41 AM

Well Hell now I want to make it too…..”Buddy Cooking” :)

Jenn September 25, 2018 at 9:48 AM

I was searching playlists on Spotify and found Mia Asher-She has tons of playlists she created….which is how I realized I never read “Easy Virtue” as I am currently listening to the playlist she created for that book. I am pretty sure the reason I never read this book is because she wrecked me with Arsen; still not over that.

Maryse September 25, 2018 at 11:06 AM

I say let’s buddy cook! It’ll be sorta like we’re eating together. ;

Leslie M September 25, 2018 at 11:58 AM

Ok, more buddy cooking for you guys. I made chunky applesauce from the apples I picked Sunday. Sooooo yummy. It’s like eating a crustless apple pie. Let’s eat apples together!!! ;)

Jenn September 25, 2018 at 12:09 PM

Leslie-OMG I hate pie crust so that sounds perfect!

Maryse-yes I love that thought of eating together, I actually made Pizza Monkey Bread on Sunday for the guys for Football and OMG. I know you wouldn’t be able to eat as the carbs and all well maybe 1 pc but than you will want more and more and more :)

Leslie M September 25, 2018 at 1:10 PM

Pizza monkey bread?!?! *drools* I only know the buttery/cinnamon one.

*runs off to Google recipe*

Leslie M September 25, 2018 at 2:35 PM

Has anyone read Tattered by Devney Perry? Just curious… I started it on audio today, no clue what to expect and went in blind.

Jenn September 25, 2018 at 2:37 PM

Leslie-I only had ever made the cinnamon one too up until this past Sunday. They had it devoured before halftime of the Bills/Vikings game :) In my glory of trying to find another one I can make this Sunday I found “Cheeseburger Monkey Bread” so will let you know about that one Sunday.

Jenn September 25, 2018 at 2:41 PM

I have not read that Leslie-I am curious though do you like listening to the Audio version of books? I have not given it a go yet but I was thinking about doing the Audio Trial for 30 days and giving it a try.

Michele G September 25, 2018 at 3:06 PM

Dang y’all are making me hungry!! I finished the TJR in a flash last night. Man, that was a lot of emotion packed into a small novella…really good though.

Jenn, do you have a library card? If so, you might be able to get audiobooks through that via either Overdrive or Hoopla apps. Apparently it depends on the area you live in…just thought I’d throw it out there. I can access both and saves me a LOT of money on ebooks and audiobooks. Not that I don’t still buy way more than I should…but it helps :-)

I’m currently reading Birthday Girl by Penelope Douglas and listening to Crazy Rich Asians. Just started today so no real opinion on either yet…

Tilly Kaye September 25, 2018 at 3:48 PM

Leslie M – I read Tattered by Devney Perry and loved it! 2nd book is Timid. I love all of her books and highly recommend them!

Lisa M September 25, 2018 at 4:09 PM

Dancer in Lingerie by Penelope Sky!!!!!

Leslie M September 25, 2018 at 4:13 PM

Thanks Tilly! Fingers crossed I like it. I’ve been slump-ish for a while which makes me extra picky.

Jenn, I LOVE audiobooks but I borrow them from my library for free via Hoopla. I don’t need to own them & they are too expensive from audible (unless you get the matchmaker deal, but if you already own ebook, do you want to own audio too?) However, there is a romance package you can get that works like KU but I can’t remember the details. Sorry, maybe someone here has the info? It’s so confusing all the subscriptions offered. I *think* one is to purchase audiobooks and one is to borrow them.

All this monkey bread is making me hungry. Can’t wait til hubs gets out of work to dive into my pot roast.

Grey September 25, 2018 at 4:31 PM

Pizza monkey bread?!?

Tasha J September 25, 2018 at 5:59 PM

Wanna know how long I’ve spent trying to read this short story by Alessandra Torre that’s supposed to take less than an hour? :( The Chiropractor told me he thinks maybe a past car accident is causing my chronic headaches. *rolls eyes* I’ve never been in a major one and the last was 10+years ago. Nope, I’ll tell u WHO causes my chronic headaches. There’s this boy and he fights sleep all day long. Maybe two 20 minute cat naps will do. And he likes to fight me for every feeding for an hour. Prepping for battle is exhausting. And when you take this boy in the car to do all this taxiing, he screams. And cries. The whole way there and back. And there’s this other boy who tries to yell louder. And he also needs, needs, needs. And there’s this girl who tries to sing louder. And she also needs, needs, needs. And then there’s this house that needs, needs, needs. And special errands that won’t do themselves. I need a special vacation. And a shower. *deep breath*

Jenn September 25, 2018 at 6:11 PM

Thank you Michele and Leslie-I do have a library card so I’ll see if I can do it that way because um yeah I don’t need to be spending any more money-I do have a limit….well unless it’s CoHo, TJR or Renee Carlino….those authors are like “crack” for me.

Maryse September 25, 2018 at 6:15 PM

*giggle* Poor Tasha… A sweet tiny baby with the CUTEST name ever… and he’s so demanding!!!

I’d snuggle you but I’ll wait until after your shower. ;) Can I snuggle Jasper??

Maryse September 25, 2018 at 6:15 PM

Monkey bread, huh?

*stupid delicious bread*

Maryse September 25, 2018 at 6:17 PM

That one piece? Gave me CRAMPS!!!! I couldn’t even believe it! 20 minutes into my meal, I felt that piece of bread BIG time, and 30 minutes (40?) later I was finally better.

Jenn September 25, 2018 at 6:19 PM

Oh and Tarryn Fisher…..

Cheryl September 25, 2018 at 6:39 PM

Tasha, I feel for you. I remember those days vividly. If my daughter was the first child, we would only have the one. Cried. ALL. THE. TIME!!! Luckily she finally out grew it around 4-5 years old. Sweetest teenager now.

What Alessandra Torre short story? Do you mean TJR Evidence of the Affair? I just finished it and it was… interesting. Kept waiting for a twist. Now to decide on what’s next.

Tasha J September 25, 2018 at 7:11 PM

Yep, Evidence of the Affair. I didn’t have the patience to look for the name of it. I’m like, 30-40% in. He doesn’t actually cry all the time, he’s a little sweety. Except for in the car or any baby device I put him in (either right away or within 10 minutes). And if I were to put him down to sleep. Lol! And….4-5 years? Ugh it sounds so daunting. I can tell already he’s gonna too the crap the other two put me through. And I’m superstitious enough that I believe it’s because I told everyone one more was great, couldn’t get any worse. *smacks forehead* And I’ve had a shower now *opens arms* :)

Jan September 25, 2018 at 7:30 PM

*hugs Tasha* Hang in there momma.

Aaannnd now I’m hungry after all that cooking talk. I need to google this mississipi pot roast. And I’m gonna make some monkey bread.

Thanks again Maryse for such a great lot of books today. I finished the new Kylie Scott novella Strong and it was really good. Any Stage Dive fans out there you need to read this. You get to revisit with all your old friends.

I was going to start the new Grace Burrowes up there but realised I hadn’t finished a previous one in the series for some reason. (His Lordship’s True Lady). Whaaatttt? I didn’t know how that happened. They can each stand alone anyway so it’s no biggie. But I’m on it.

BTW I really like the cover of that one up there – A Truly Perfect Gentleman. He looks so thoughtful and just a nice guy (and hot in his own quiet way).

Melinda September 25, 2018 at 8:44 PM

Ooooooh Tasha, I feel for you. My 3rd baby was terrible lived on 3 hours of sleep. Cried all day long. I thought I was going to have a break down. She had food intolerance. Great contraception! It does get easier. I promise.

I just finished “No tomorrow”. It was good but I lost interest in parts. 4stars.

Maryse hows your sleeping?

Try getting up every time you wake up, have a cup of tea. Then go back to bed. Otherwise your body doesn’t realise it’s meant to sleep when your in bed.

We have the footy finals in Australia at the moment and our team Collingwood is in the Grand Final so I’m making a Collingwood cake to take to work in black and white. That’s my cooking news.

Jan September 26, 2018 at 12:18 AM

Go Pies!

*for non Aussies that’s Melinda’s team – Collingwood, or the magPIES.

Melinda September 26, 2018 at 1:39 AM

JulieO September 26, 2018 at 5:55 AM

Haven’t read TATTERED but absolutely loved TIMID!!!

Tasha J September 26, 2018 at 8:50 AM

I made chili soup in the crockpot the other day, felt like a huge accomplishment. Lol! And it’s finally a little chilly here so it feels like fall. Yea, someone crapped all over my luck the past couple weeks here. Just the other night, I washed down my Tylenol for my headache in the middle of the night with a nice swig of curdled milk. *shudders* Maybe caused by the electricity outage when our transformer blew from the squirrel *RIP* Last night I did the cry it out method (hurts my soul) for 2 hours cuz he STILL was fighting it even after he had fallen asleep and that crap doesn’t work here. I feel like a jerk. And then, the bottle this morning, he didn’t fight it. And those times are so precious, I didn’t wanna stop him. He sucked down 5 ounces in 10 minutes and stopped, so I go to burp him and ALL 5 ounces proceeded to make its way in my hair, my entire shirt, his entire shirt and what not. I’ve never been so wet from spit up in all my days. And then!! Before I even made that bottle, I’d been making one, was just about finished and knocked the whole dang thing over. I KNOW I’ve not broken any mirrors lately so what the heck?! This is like an every day occurence. *and now, I read*

bev September 26, 2018 at 9:09 AM

Reading Grace Draven’s newest. Not that far but I’m liking it.

Leslie M September 26, 2018 at 10:00 AM

Tasha!! OMG!!! I feel for you. I got pretzel tummy reading your latest parenting woes and remembering how hard it is. My son was the worst and it’s why he is only child. I have no idea how any of you mom’s with more than 1 do it. You are my heros! And single moms?!? No idea how they manage either. Well, let’s hope things settle down for you soon and in meantime you can vent to us and escape with a good book. *hugs*

Leslie M September 26, 2018 at 10:02 AM

Bev, what happened with Ghosted? I think you mentioned you weren’t thrilled with flashbacks??

Michele G September 26, 2018 at 10:13 AM

Tasha – my third and youngest kiddo had no clue that he WASN’T an only child – - we always said it was good he wasn’t the first cause he might have been the only :-) . He only wanted to be held and absolutely detested the car seat for a LONGGGG time! Gratefully, he did sleep and eat fairly well but his waking hours were outta control. I feel for you girl! He’s 19 now and still a handful some days but they are always worth it as you know…hang in there! Just know all of us on here are sending you some positive vibes and definitely sympathizing!

Bev – I’ll be waiting to hear how you like Grace Draven’s newest…I bought it yesterday so it’s on my short list.

Tasha J September 26, 2018 at 12:02 PM

And just like that, all of it flew out the window, cuz he rolled over! :) I was starting to worry.
Thanks for your support and assurances too, ladies. I love hearing it.

Tasha J September 26, 2018 at 12:36 PM

Cheryl, I’m almost done with Evidence of the Affair and I’m shocked! There’s 1 little snippet that had me gasp and I didn’t see it coming.

Jenn September 26, 2018 at 12:58 PM

Oh Tasha; your posts-I’m so sorry hon but YAY he rolled over :) . I trust what the girls are telling you that it will get better! I sadly can not relate as I was robbed of being a mommy which is why certain books like Arsen, No Tomorrow gut me, but also why a book like Evidence of the Affair can make me feel so much in such a short amount of time because I could relate to Carrie’s struggle and yes I gasped and actually had to go back and read it again because I questioned myself on whether I read it correctly!

Tasha J September 26, 2018 at 1:49 PM

Oh no Jenn, I’m so sorry!! *hugs*
I also went back and dbl checked.

Jenn September 26, 2018 at 2:55 PM

awe thank you Tasha, right back at ya

bev September 26, 2018 at 3:02 PM

October first is so close.
Are you prepared.

Korean beef?

Tasha J September 26, 2018 at 3:06 PM

SJI Holliday just told me that The Lingering will be out tomorrow!! Any takers to get scared with me?!

Tasha J September 26, 2018 at 3:12 PM

McDonalds for me October 1st….Nightmare Before Christmas boxes and toys! The kids don’t even know. That was the 1st thing I told my hubby this morning, cuz I’m lovin’ It. (Get it? ;) :P )

Cheryl September 26, 2018 at 4:05 PM

Tasha, I did a double take too. Just one of those where a bomb is thrown out casually.

Bev, candy corn.

bev September 26, 2018 at 7:11 PM

Candy corn.

You know this is for watching a k drama right?

bev September 26, 2018 at 7:24 PM

Wait October 3rd. That’s the day.

My other drama starts on the 1st.

Leslie, Ghosted is on hold until after my current read. I’ll go back to it.

bev September 26, 2018 at 8:15 PM

For some reason it looks like there will be an American remake of Train to Busan. Why? Seriously.

If it goes through watch the original first. Please.

Jenn September 27, 2018 at 5:03 AM

Good Morning-

I finished ‘Lies We Tell Ourselves” Amy Mayayo. It had such an empowering message and that is what I am taking away from this. I was left with a resolve to be more careful what I say and do—not only to others, but to myself…especially myself….because we are worth it and so was reading this emotionally touching story. Okay now off to find another book so I can do FLT. :)

Grey September 27, 2018 at 5:18 AM

Tessa, where is Tessa?!! I’m gonna go old school… *giggle* I’m pretty sure she knows what I mean. She’s been shouting it at me forever!!!

Leslie M September 27, 2018 at 5:41 AM

Good morning! I need to find a new book to start for FLT. I just finished Tattered by Devney Perry. I liked it, but didn’t love it. It was a little slow for me & one aspect of story felt unnecessary. But I loved the little girl and the narration was good.

bev September 27, 2018 at 6:48 AM

Tessa hasn’t been by in awhile. Miss her.

Leslie M September 27, 2018 at 7:22 AM

FLT: I felt their eyes on me as I stared at the ground, taking my time.

Cement Heart by Beth Ehemann

I enjoyed the Cranberry Inn series by this author and this is a spin-off.

Jenn September 27, 2018 at 8:00 AM

Going in blind on this one-it was free!

Jenn September 27, 2018 at 8:02 AM

I had the strangest shiver of premonition rock my body the first time I heard Tristan’s voice.
Bad Things:R.K. Lilley

Leslie M September 27, 2018 at 8:39 AM

Jenn, be prepared for every single romance reader out there to squee because you are reading Tristan & Danika’s story. I swear that is everyone’s fave. It’s a good one!!

bev September 27, 2018 at 8:43 AM

So, I dont know how many times I’ve almost been late to work because I picked up a book to read just a couple more pages…..then realize it’s been 40 minutes.
Today it was because I decided to rewatch scenes of Healer. Lol.

All of a sudden I had 20 minutes to shower .and dress.

It’s always worth it.

Melinda September 27, 2018 at 8:45 AM

Omg Jen, you lucky lucky thing.

You are in for the ride of your life.

I loved those books. All of them. I think Maryse 5 starred all of them.
I 5 starred all of them

bev September 27, 2018 at 8:48 AM

I should go back and finish the first book….someday.

Melinda September 27, 2018 at 8:56 AM

Bev, why don’t you shower, dress eat, then read………

I’d still be late too.

I’m to scared to read before work. I’d never leave for work.

bev September 27, 2018 at 9:00 AM

I tell myself that all the time. But I’m all warm and comfortable and my books or shows are right there.

Honestly, I once had hours that because of my commute I had an hour before I had to clock in. I’d go get a coffee and sit and read not at work but the coffee place or outside. It was a peaceful way to start the day.

Jenn September 27, 2018 at 9:08 AM

Leslie; Melinda-YAY me! Now with your comments I am over the freaking moon excited!!!!!

Bev-lol-I was late just last week; I woke up a little earlier than normal so I figured what the hell I would read a little, at the time I was just starting No Tomorrow and before I knew it I was late so late that by the time I made it to work I was 45 minutes late. The last time that happened I was near the end of How To Kill A Rockstar and for those that have read that know when I got to that part I was a complete ********* mess and could not go to work so I called in sick.

Melinda September 27, 2018 at 9:11 AM

Jen, you can’t compare what you were reading.

This is an Epic, yes EPIC book, books. I wish I was you reading them for the first time.

Jenn September 27, 2018 at 9:22 AM

Melinda-OMG you have me wanting to leave work right now and go home and put myself on “lockdown” with “Do Not Disturb” Epic Read In Progress!

Michele G September 27, 2018 at 10:15 AM

FLT: “It was a scene out of a horror movie.”
Brant’s Return by Mia Sheridan
(really enjoying it – - it’s only on audiobook right now)

Also, I’m starting Elite later today as well – - and after I work my way through that series, maybe I’ll have to check out the Bad Things books you all are fluttering over right now cause I haven’t read them either :-0

R. Renee September 27, 2018 at 10:16 AM

Michele G! Bad Things would make a great BR!!

Jenn September 27, 2018 at 10:31 AM

Fantastic idea R…..

Michele yes yes yes please join me; I have no idea what I started here but I am guessing “it’s one of those” books/series that will rock our world and I need a friend to take along with me for the ride. After I can BR the Elite series with you as I have had them forever and just never got around to reading them.

Leslie M September 27, 2018 at 10:45 AM

I can spend the whole day reading and not realize that I never even brushed my teeth!!

Grey September 27, 2018 at 10:49 AM

Michele, you’re reading Elite with me!!!! Woohoo!!! Tessa, where are you??? *tosses glitter* *makes blankie fort and grabs Godiva just because…*

Amy September 27, 2018 at 11:00 AM

You will experience every posssible emotion in the train wreck that is their story. The only book I can recall which had me SOBBING happy tears at the end of the trilogy. I’m sooooo jealous but SO thrilled for you! :D

Amy September 27, 2018 at 11:07 AM

“Of course, it began with a man.” ~ 19 Myths About Cheating by Randy Susan Myers

Maryse, if you can have parsnips (and like them) try those in the Mississippi pot roast. I did that last week when I made it and they tasted GREAT!

And I understand about getting crampy from bread. Ever since I cut out bread and pasta, just the littlest bit will throw my tummy into revolt and I end up crampy and ready to sick up in the nearest whatever…toilet, garbage can, plastic bag, doesn’t matter. It’s coming UP. :?

Amy September 27, 2018 at 11:08 AM

OH! One more thing…Binding 13 is on sale for .99! :D

Amy September 27, 2018 at 11:10 AM

Okay, SECOND one more thing…

Tasha J September 27, 2018 at 12:29 PM

I feel so sad for all of you who don’t eat bread. Bread is my main food group. I just ate a chocolate croissant for breakfast, a ton of crackers in my soup. Muffins have been my go to as of late. Flaky dinner rolls. Sandwiches, you name it. I’m helping an Italian birthday dinner that’ll feature pasta, bread, and an Italian cream cake. Veggie’s make me crampy so I could never do keto.

Tasha J September 27, 2018 at 12:40 PM

I bought Binding 13! The Storm King by Brendan Duffy is on sale for 1.99 from 11.99. I must have put this on my tbr and forgot about it. It’s a thriller, not romance, but it looks good!

Maryse September 27, 2018 at 12:49 PM

Yeah bev!!! I miss her too… she’s a reading machine!!! I hope she’ll bring us her latest news soon.

Maryse September 27, 2018 at 12:52 PM

Amy! I’m gonna put radishes in there… when cooked, they taste like mini potatoes (no bitey radish-flavor). Other than the tang-sour of the peppers that they’ll soak up. I can’t wait!!!

Maryse September 27, 2018 at 12:53 PM

I hope they’re all on sale tomorrow, ’cause I’m adding them to the Friday Finds. Thank you Amy!!!

Maryse September 27, 2018 at 12:53 PM

Pasta is my downfall, Tasha. I LOVE bread… yes, but pasta is my absolute favorite food in the world.

Tasha J September 27, 2018 at 2:25 PM

I suppose you do have the veggies that you can make like noodles (zoodles). I’d like to try that sometime, but I’m sure it’s more time consuming than opening a box and dumping them in.

R. Renee September 27, 2018 at 2:58 PM

I’m reading 4 books simultaneously right now, but I think I’ll go with this one. ❤️ I’ve read a little over half of it, it’s so much more than even I imagined, and it’s coming soon.

FLT “Look at that.” Dad’s whispered voice was filled with awe. “Incredible, isn’t it?” Long Live the Beautiful Hearts by Emma Scott

Jenn September 27, 2018 at 4:04 PM

R-I am so jealous I need that book like yesterday!

R. Renee September 27, 2018 at 4:06 PM

Me too! It’s not finished. I’m getting it in chunks. At 60% now.

Nay September 27, 2018 at 5:02 PM

“Stop! Willem Shoot him.”
The Boy and His Ribbon by Pepper Winters

Jenn–so excited you’re reading Bad Things! I loved it like I love No Tomorrow! Major angst!

Michele–knowing what you like, I can definitely say that you DO need to read Bad Things asap!

Jenn September 27, 2018 at 6:18 PM

R-I don’t know what’s worse not having it at all or getting it in chunks. That would be torture for me.

Nay-Yes I am loving it-10 chapters in, and I almost started the book your reading but I chose not to because of the one I just read.

Nay September 27, 2018 at 6:43 PM

I’ve been watching Giana Darling’s FB page religiously, and I promised I’d post as soon as I found out–Good Gone Bad (The Fallen Men, #3) has a new release date of NOVEMBER 23rd 2018!

I can’t wait!

R. Renee September 27, 2018 at 6:54 PM

Jenn, it’s a little torturous. But on the bright side it’s like Christmas in my inbox multiple times per day.

Maryse September 27, 2018 at 7:03 PM

Thank you for the great news Nay!!!! I’ll post it on the next author news post.

Maryse September 27, 2018 at 7:05 PM

Little update:

I got a mole/birthmark removed today… two weeks for results. I think it will be fine, and I’ve had it since my twenties (at least – maybe longer – in an area that I didn’t really notice it until it was pointed out to me) and lately… it’s been.. . “sensitive”. It’s gone. Let’s hope it stays gone in ALL ways.

How I wish I didn’t have those childhood suburns, and teenage, tan-a-thons. Especially since I’m not even able to tan anyway. Grrrrr to my past child-brain!!

R. Renee September 27, 2018 at 7:07 PM

Glad you had it removed Maryse. It will be fine and don’t feel bad. I spent my 20s in a tanning bed.

Amy September 27, 2018 at 7:15 PM

Sending out good mole vibes! Too soon? *grins sheepishly*

I would like to go back and smack some sense into my teenage and young adult selves for baking in the sun for hours. Now I make hubby check my back (and even my scalp) regularly for anything appearing unusual.

All that to say, we feel ya. ;)

Amy September 27, 2018 at 7:17 PM

Radishes!!! LOVE. THEM. Raw or cooked. With or without ranch dressing. Delicious.

Amy September 27, 2018 at 7:19 PM

bev…I’m impressed. Showered and dressed in 20 minutes, then out the door? I would have had a mini-breakdown and most likely tossed my cookies or peed my pants.

bev September 27, 2018 at 7:41 PM

Jean’s, t shirts, sneakers, no makeup and air dry hair all the way.

Though I’m probably known as the odd chubby lady who jogs down the street at dawn everyday.

Cheryl September 27, 2018 at 7:50 PM

“Victoria took the last turn onto her street, glad to finally be home.”
Full House (The Gamblers Book 3) by Victoria took the last turn onto her street, glad to finally be home.

Full House (The Gamblers Book 3) by Sarah Curtis. A random pick in my tbr. Was in the mood for a actor theme book. Good, not great so far.

Cheryl September 27, 2018 at 8:01 PM

Jenn, so jealous you’re reading Bad Things. What a tummy-twisty, CRAZY angsty ride. Loved the entire series!!

Now I’m in the mood for pot roast. Have to look up the recipe and then making it tomorrow. Yum!!

Maryse, most moles are harmless and it sounds like you got it checked quickly which means if it has to be treated, you caught it early.

I wish I could go back and tell my teenage self to not use betadine and baby oil and avoid all the sunburns I got. I had skin cancer MOH’s surgery a few years back.

Leslie M September 28, 2018 at 5:35 AM

Bev, we totally could be BFFs in real life. ;) I am even more low maintenance than you. I would have nixed hair washing and thrown on baseball cap and been ready in 15! Hee hee

Cheryl, Sarah Curtis has been one of my GR friends for years. She is wicked nice!! I haven’t read any of her books yet, but they look good.

Maryse October 1, 2018 at 5:55 PM

Melinda… update: My sleeping was not great last night. I ended up doing the “get out of bed and lay on the couch” trick. It worked… but I’m still exhausted.

bev October 1, 2018 at 6:11 PM

Mine is to turn around in bed. Feet at the top head at the bottom.
It works often.
