Leslie M March 26, 2018 at 6:45 AM

Happy Monday! Someone get me more coffee please.

Wow! That seems like a big list today. Lots of shinies up there.

Lisa Aiello March 26, 2018 at 7:10 AM

Good morning. Kicking back with my Iced Caramel Macchiato. I need a 12 step group, as I am totally addicted!!! Have a fantastic Monday and an easy week!!!

bev March 26, 2018 at 10:00 AM

In the middle of one of my Feb the books. The wrong side of the tracks one. The author is Australian and I like that it sounds Australian.
After I will dive into the pink cover one for the challenge.

I just started a new drama, Answer Me 1997 and I am loving it. Maybe because I was this age in 97. 16 hours all together but 30 min eps.
About a group of friends 3 boys 2 girls and…..I don’t know just hitting the spot. Some humor, romance, angst, little twists and mystery and great families and friendships

Amy March 26, 2018 at 10:47 AM

Mmmmm, caramel macchiato…hot or iced, they are DELICIOUS!!

The blurb for The Consequence of Rejection sounds hilarious. It might be one of the rare ones which gets me past my male-only POV aversion. ;)

I started Kiss Me Like You Mean It last night, and it’s too soon to say much but I can say the prologue and first chapter hooked me. I have a feeling this h is complex, maybe even heartless, but the backstory has just started so I’m excited to find out just WHAT lead up to the prologue!

Amy March 26, 2018 at 1:06 PM

I posted this on the other board but I’m so giddy over KMLYMI that I have to post it here as well…

Yep, I’m falling in platonic love with Gwen. She reminds me of a Tarryn Fisher-type h. She’s broken and imperfect. She’s selfish and yet apologetic. I’ve found my booknip and I am going to enjoy every moment of playing with it.

“When I tell you I am the villain, I am not being cute. I don’t want to be cute. I just want to be honest about all of this.” <——— That about sums up the vibe right there.

Nay March 26, 2018 at 1:23 PM

Ooh, Amy, I’m looking forward to seeing what you think about KMLYMI–it’s supposed to be super angsty! Since it’s pretty short, I was going to try to fit it in this week IF it’s good and angsty.

Amy March 26, 2018 at 2:06 PM

I’ll keep you updated, Nay! :D

Kooloo March 26, 2018 at 2:26 PM

I want the ACOTAR Movie to be EeeeePIC!!!!!!
Like a big expensive production and amazing special effects and swoon worthy men not boys – it needs to be how my brain images it Damn it!!

Kooloo March 26, 2018 at 2:30 PM

Wait Maryse I just read your comment from my post this morning.

Jamie McGuire has 2 new books coming out?? Which is other one

Oh oh can you imagine The Madox Movie! Now who would fit the role of Mad Dog

Gina March 26, 2018 at 3:44 PM

I can’t wait for Kiss Me Back. I already know the “thing” which sucks that someone spoiled it for me. Rrr! But I’m intrigued as to how Sidney will handle it. Eeekk

Maryse March 26, 2018 at 3:45 PM

Kooloo I think it’s “All The Little Lights”… I’ll have to double check. :D

Cheryl March 26, 2018 at 4:43 PM

I finished Long Shot today. For a “sports” story it was angsty. Reminded me of how I felt reading Thoughtless. It does have dual POV, but I don’t think it took away from the angst. In fact, I think it added to it.

KMLYMI has me intrigued too. Can’t wait to hear what you think Amy.

Cheryl March 26, 2018 at 4:46 PM

Love Jewel E. Ann, but think I’ll wait for book 2 to be released before starting Transcend.

Maryse, I do like the premise of Getaway Girl, but will probably read The Consequence of Rejection since it’s KU and i’m TRYING to just read KU right now.

Robyn March 26, 2018 at 5:02 PM

I finished Kiss Me Like You Mean It. I was emotionally exhausted at the end. Gwen has lots of problems. Conner is the constant in her life. It was raw, gritty, just like most real relationships are. Gwen explains why it’s hard to be in love with someone like her. I thought the book was ok. I guess when I read the blurp, I expected something else. The plot wasn’t what I expected. I for one, don’t like to be emotionally exhausted after reading a book, but then again I couldn’t get off the train either. So go figure. LOL

I one clicked Trancend because anything Jewel E Ann writes is pure gold. I haven’t met one book of hers I didn’t love.

Robyn March 26, 2018 at 5:10 PM

Nay- I forgot to add that I didn’t think KMLYMI was that angsty at all. I know angst and I’ve read some angsty books. The book was about a very depressed girl and all she goes through, her relationships, and how she’s trying to overcome these obstacles in her life and finding her “normal”. I’m trying not to give too much info away, but that’s the just of the book.

Robyn March 26, 2018 at 5:13 PM

GRRR…sorry, the post was supposed to say wasn’t angsty. I couldn’t edit!

R March 26, 2018 at 5:19 PM

Just checked and Cross breed is not out until 25th September according to publisher website and amazon. Gutted!

Nay March 26, 2018 at 5:45 PM

Thanks, Robyn. I like emotional too, so I may still give it a try.

Did I hear “reminded me of how I felt reading Thoughtless”??? I’m all over that! Putting Long Shot on my ‘next’ shelf–thanks, Cheryl!

Tessa March 26, 2018 at 6:59 PM

Long Shot by who?

Jan March 26, 2018 at 8:06 PM

Ooh lots of good ones up there Maryse. Thank you :D

I’ve never read any Tessa Bailey (I know!) and I like the look of Getaway Girl so I might try it. Shape Of My Heart looks good too. Grrr. I’m TRYING to get on top of my tbr.

Currently reading the latest Patricia Briggs. Burn Bright. Quite gripping. I’m half way through and enjoying it. I love Charles and Anna. I’m a little behind on the Mercy series though :/ But I’ll get there eventually.

MichelleS March 26, 2018 at 8:11 PM

I’m reading High Voltage, by KMM. Book finally came in at library! I feel lost. It’s been so long! Argh!!! But I do love Dani!

Cheryl March 26, 2018 at 8:15 PM

Long Shot by Kennedy Ryan. When I say felt like when reading Thoughtless, I mean the angst of love and relationships/love triangles and damn a sh!tload of complications/roadblocks to that love.

Robyn March 26, 2018 at 10:09 PM

Jan-love Patricia Briggs. I’m on a reread of Alpha &Omega. I’m on book three…getting closer to Burn Bright! Finish the Mercy books, they are so good!

Michelle- I finished High Voltage and loved it. Dani and Ryodan together is explosive. I forget a lot also, but it comes back as you read along.

Jan March 27, 2018 at 12:54 AM

Finished Burn Bright. It’s really good! One of the best in the series IMO.

Nay March 27, 2018 at 6:49 AM

I get you, Cheryl. That’s the exact way I felt when I read A Love Letter to Whiskey, even mentioned it in my review. I love it when I find books like that! I’m going to read Long Shot for sure!

Maryse March 27, 2018 at 7:55 AM

YAY Jan!!!!! *hug*

marina March 27, 2018 at 10:29 AM

Hi Maryse, I’m on Getaway Girl! Love Tessa Bailey!! It is a bit different than her others so far right? And I LOVE Jewel E Ann so I’m very excited for Transcend too next up! xoxo

Victoria March 30, 2018 at 9:55 PM

Oh my gosh! You really need to read Our Unscripted Story by L.A. Fiore. It was SUCH a great story! I’m having a hard time shaking off the book after reading it. Alexis and Greyson really came to life and it was super interesting watching their lives unfold from their teen years to adulthood.
