- I’m excited about that new “horror short story” series that Amazon just released (each one written by a different author). Perfect for a quick scary bite before bed, and I read one yesterday which was pretty good.
- I just ordered an activated charcoal teeth whitening toothpaste. 😉 I’m so curious about this stuff (whitening strips make my teeth too sensitive) and supposedly this stuff is awesome. We’ll see. 😉 There will be NO pictures. Hahahahah!!
- I’m loving my sleepy time tea ritual every night again. I dunno if it’s psychosomatic or a placebo affect (just the act of drinking a calming tea before bed), or if the ingredients in it really work, but either way, it’s soothing, I love the messages on each tea bag, and I think it helps!

I’ve been wanting to ask has anyone tried “Stitch Fix” I am excited because I get my first box this week. I had nothing to lose, the first time you try it they waive the 20.00 stylist fee and you pay for nothing up front. I’ll let you know after I receive my box my final thoughts on it all and If i kept anything.
1. I started a few new dramas and The Smile Has Left Your Eyes aka Hundred Million Stars from the Sky is definitely my must watch of the bunch.
2 BUT I’m also reading! And reading pretty regularly.
3. Um….let’s watch kpop. Lol. Can you spot when one of the mics breaks and how they get it off the stage without stopping the performance?

Ugh! I’m doing everything I can to avoid reading. That usually means I need to start a different book, and there are so many shinies just calling “Read me! Read me!”
I think I’m going to put Medicine Man down and come back to it after I read something else. I found a new book by a new author called Ember (author: Christi Whitson) that came out on 10/1. It’s free with KU, so I’m going to give it a try.
Nay-I looked it up; that looks really good, right up my alley. I clicked it-can’t wait to hear your thoughts.
I am so nervous/excited for B.N. Toler’s book, “What Lies Between”, on the 10th. Ike and Charlotte?! I know I’m going to cry but hopefully it will not be too heartbreaking.

1. I’m reading Full Tilt (one of my challenge reads from our dear Grey who apparently wants to throw me into full on depression). Thankfully Jenn made oatmeal chocolate chip cookies which I will promptly add to my survival kit! I mean I did just finish Bright Side and Gus ….so apparently I want to keep Kleenex in business! It is really good though…I mean there’s nothing like a book by Emma Scott!
2. I made the Mississippi Roast last week for the first time – – it was wonderful! Who would have thought I’d pick up recipe ideas and book suggestions in the same place…gotta love it!
3. As some of you know, I celebrated my middle kiddo’s 21st birthday over the weekend. It was a success – he survived and so did my husband and I – – actually, we might have been more challenged than the 21 year old since he’s 6′ 7″ and 240 lbs, he can absorb more alcohol than his aging parents 🙂
1. Ive wanted to paint trim all day, but I’ve had a Chiropractor appt, baby feedings, and prepping dinner (also chicken and dumplings) and currently fingering J on napping. By the time I start it’ll be dinner time and running the kids off to soccer practice and my day is over. It’s stuff like this that’s made me dub this place “The Land of Unfinished Things”.
2. I read for 5 minutes today in the waiting room.
3. I spent 3 hours grocery shopping yesterday. At 2 different places and I took a break in between to feed. It felt like the biggest hassle ever. I’m trying click list next.
4. All my hair is falling out and I won’t take vitamins so it’ll never get better. :’(

And how did the chiropractor visit go?
Biotin is a vitamin though, right? I’m terrible at taking vitamins or medicine or anything if I don’t absolutely have to. I don’t like putting foreign stuff in my body. I always get crappy side effects. I’ve just accepted it, but it’s a ton. Like I could clean my brush out with a handful every day and the shower and run my hands through it and still get a bunch.
And, I’ve been skeptical about this Chiropractor thing. I was super anxious my first visit and expressed my fears. I had to go back every couple days for weeks and it didn’t seem like anything was changing much. And then it got worse after one visit, I was in so much pain (nerve pain in my back, pretty positive it’s from the epidural and was triggered back by bad posture or something). And when I went back and expressed how much worse it was, he had them do some ultrasound on it and then light therapy. Which was fine, I couldn’t feel it, but they put ointment (like icy hot, which I’ve never used) on it and didn’t say anything, so my back was on FIRE after. I was near tears, thought I was having a bad skin reaction or something, was freaking out (but still stubbornly wouldn’t call to see if it was normal or anything). But, it was better!! The best actually, practically gone. And then I’ve had 2 regular appts since and it’s like a complete turn around. He just does some electrodes? With heating pads or something for a while then stretches some stuff and cracks some stuff and that’s it. And for a while I thought he was delusional that anything was working, but it seems to be the real deal.
It can also be a side effect of low thyroid. Also, nails being weak and feeling sleepy. Like you could nap every day.
I’ve been tested for that a couple times, but it’s been a while. I know it’s hormonal and normal after babies, but it doesn’t seem to be slowing down at all. My nails are fine. And feeling drained, crazy tired is an off and on thing. I think that’s just cuz I’m so overly busy that once in a while it takes a toll. I can never physically nap when it’s light out anymore anyway. It’s a bummer.
I FINALLY started JR Ward’s Consumed – and so far I’m not at all disappointed. I can’t believe I didn’t download it before now. These characters are gritty and not disappointing at all. I keep hoping there will be a surprise easter egg of a crossover to something, but I know I’ll be disappointed. Will check in when I’ve finished!
I’ve almost painted a door!! Well, the trim around a door. I have to take a break- again- for supper. An hour or 2 and I’ll tackle 1 whole wall! LOL
1. A Star is born isn’t released here till next week but I’m definitely going. I think my hubs will come with me to this one too, even though it’s not his usual kinda film. We can have a date night 😀 Maybe a pizza first?
2. I’m not working today. Yay! but gotta do a mega grocery shop. It’s just one of those weeks when I’ve run out of EVERYTHING.
3. In a bit of a book funk 🙁 I’ve got some challenge books to read and a big tbr but nothing’s really calling my name……… where is my next new 5 star read? *sigh*

Reading Not Until You by Corinne Michaels and loving it!! Another automatic author for me.
Three things:
1. Saw A Star is Born over the weekend too and loved it!! Bradley Cooper is just plain yummy.
2. Made chicken and dumplings with the dumplings!! Lol
3. I had special ordered farm table w/ chairs and matching chairs around island in the white wash from Country Treasures and I absolutely love it!! Home decorating makes me happy!! Now need to to lug all my fall decorating crates out.

Now… can you show me a photo of that farm table? I’m also looking for one, bench seat on one side, chairs on the rest.
1. I just got my grabby little fingers on an ARC of HA Robinson’s Chasing the Sunrise releasing on the 23rd! I know several of you read and loved The Pebble Jar–this is the follow up! And the preorder link just went up!
2. I just had shrimp, celery, and cashew stir-fry and I was so stuffed I couldn’t finish it. Now I’m starving.
