Good morning! 🙂
1, It’s cold here. 37 degrees when just last week it was 80 and humid.
2, Making beef stew today and going to toss in some radishes.
3, I am finally starting Bring Down the Stars and am in my happy book place.
Good morning–happy Monday!
1) It’s pouring, I mean POURING rain here and 62.
2) K.A.’s new one comes out a week from tomorrow. We finally get more Joe Callahan! I wish it was more than a short story, but at this point, I’ll take anything.
3) Seems like it’s going to be a perfect day for reading!
1. We had almost 3 inches of snow yesterday. They said flurries, maybe 1/2 inch and it wouldn’t stick. They lied.
2. I am reading Long Live the Beautiful Hearts (I was lucky enough to get an ARC copy). I was crying just reading the dedication page.
3. I seriously do not want to adult today. I’ve looked at my Outlook calendar to try to figure out what I can move around so I can sneak read most of the day today!
1. *wimpers* woke up too soon.
2. Its definitely a coffee day.
3. I want to know if Amy met my psychopath.
Lisa…WHAT?? YOU GOT SNOW!
I want to be your neighbor. Its October that’s crazy. Crazy wonderful.
I get the high 70s maybe 80s today.
1. I’m going to Vegas next week!
2. I’m currently in bed reading Long Live the Beautiful Hearts for the third time.
3. The dedication made me cry too.
1. Have the day off today. Going to the gym-hope to kickstart some motivation. If not, COFFEE!!!
2. Cloudy and overcast but in upper 50″s here.
3. Starting Bring Down the Stars when I get back.
1. First cuppa coffee done…bring on a second cup because it is Monday!
2. Excited for the lower temperatures and next week there will be a high of 69!!!!
3. My girl made the math team at school and is super excited which makes me super excited and proud!
1. I have 2 library books in- The Bird and the Blade and The Book of M. I really, really want to read them, but I still have a ton to get done here. I didn’t get as much as I wanted done last night. Everything is still unfinished. 🙁
2. I need a hair cut. I also wrestle with growing or cutting, but when it finally gets a couple inches past my shoulders , I can’t stand it. It feels scraggly. And I’m tired of it being pulled, slobbered on and pulled out. But! It’s getting colder and it’s a little warm leaving it longer. What to do, what to do?
3. I’m about to stuff my face with Boo Berry cereal and a donut (cuz it’ll go stale otherwise) and make a mocha for breakfast. Cuz I’m on a crap food kick.
Good Morning-
1. Yesterday was such a beautiful fall day so I went apple picking and made steaks on grill with garlic roasted potatoes.
2. I woke up early this morning….too early and since I had not started another book yet I found one I could start and finish before I left for work…It was called Shadows by K.I Lynn, (seriously only 30 pages)I was drawn to this because of the two books I just finished by B.N Toler. And really it’s Halloween and could not resist another ghost story.
3. I can’t believe Long Live The Beautiful Hearts is out early….I am still going to wait for you Leslie….NO PRESSURE 🙂
SNOW????!!!!!!!!
Congrats to your daughter, DG. What an accomplishment!
DG-Congrats to your daughter…you must be one proud mama. 🙂
Bev-Maybe Amy was taken by your Psychopath *gasp*
Leslie-Love beef stew; never had with radishes though but sounds super YUM
OMG YES TO BEEF STEW. Now I’m hungry. And radishes would be perfect in there!!
So if I don’t hear from Amy it’s because she was taken.
Or because she decided not to meet him.
Oh, the conundrum.
I’m thinking taken… 😉 After all. Psychopath.
*Deep Breath*
Potential psychopath.
Either she is in Korea or……..
R check your yard.
DG: Congratulations to your daughter!
1.) I’m super sad about this weather. It really sucks! I live in Frederick, Maryland and it’s 59 degrees, cloudy and rainy. My Hibiscus plants are droopy! They are not feeling the drop in the weather and the ridiculous amount of rain this summer.
2. My cousin and I booked and paid for skydiving. We had discussed doing it a year ago but he injured his ankle and had to have surgery. He’s a former Airborne Soldier who has 45 jumps under his belt, so I felt comfortable doing it with him. No one else I know would do it and I refuse to do it alone, lol. Well, the plan was to do it yesterday (his birthday), but the company cancelled due to this sucky weather. It ticked me off that after they cancelled, the sun came out in full force! So, here we are today, rescheduled to jump at 11a.m. and they weather has thwarted our plans again.
3. On a happy note, author Addison Cain mentioned that she just finished reading Close Encounters by Anna Zaires. I one-clicked it and dove right in. I LOVED IT!!! I finished book one and just started two of the trilogy. I was hooked immediately. I think I’ll be sad to see this couples story end. BTW, if you like the dark stuff with lots of heat…Addison Cain is the author that gives it to you. Straight, no chaser! She’s not for the faint of heart. Her alpha’s a the biggest A-holes ever, they’re kinky, kinky, kinky, take what they want (non-con), and make you love them by the end of the story. They’re the alpha men you hate to love. Her Facebook group, Addison Cain’s Dark Longing’s Lounge is hilarious and a bit x-rated but we have a ton of fun.
GASP JOY!!!!!!
How cool and BRAVE to skydive. You must tell us all about it when you get back. What a HIGH that would be. I’m terrified of that.
Hi ladies! Been MIA lately but always trying to stay updated!
1. Rainy miserable cold Monday here….. why do I have to work?
2. Glad I popped in here today because I didn’t know Long Live the Beautiful Hearts was out today!!!! Yay us! Loved book one….. fell in love with two men!
3. I’m reading Josh and Hazel’s Guide To Not Dating…..I don’t think I’ve ever read a book with a character like Hazel….eccentric, goofy, funny, and completely loveable!!!
Okay, so someone give me an update on what’s been happening around here. It’s been a tough couple months for me!
I’m shopping for advent calendars for my kids and I saw this – https://m.sephora.com/product/once-upon-castle-advent-calendar-P435600?skuId=2059970&om_mmc=ppc-GG_1165716896_53825941860_pla-419444360771_2059970_257731950167_9016023_m&country_switch=us&lang=en&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI246OruuI3gIVA7bACh1uMQXpEAQYASABEgIp8PD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
Happy Monday!
1. I got squished today. Everyone be sure you take care of your “girls”!
2. I’m a little over halfway through Bring Down the Stars …if only I didn’t have to work 🙂
3. Went to see a Star is Born with my hubby yesterday….absolutely adored it…the movie, the soundtrack…all of it…lots of love!
DG – Congrats to you and your daughter!! Very cool
Joy P – Wow! Skydiving…I’m impressed! I’m way too scared of heights…
Lisa A. – – SNOW?! Really?
Tasha – Regarding your hair…good luck making a decision on that one…it’s like an age old question for most women…
Leslie M, Cheryl – I’ll see you on the BR page for BDTS (along with anyone else who is joining us there…)
Jean – Hugs…glad to see you on here.
Snow is just stoopid…so any of you who want it, I’ll be happy to Fed Ex it your way. I’m in Omaha, Nebraska for heaven’s sake, not in Alaska or the Colorado high mountains…geesh. Happy HallowChristmas!!
I love snow!!!
I love snow too but I don’t want it before Halloween! November on and I’d be fine but October 15th would tick me off too!
Agreed…. it is a bit early for snow. I need that crisp Fall with changing leaves, sweaters, and boots!
Jean!!
Hey, If I said I’d go to Alaska if you went to Korea you’d go to Korea and meet a (potential) psychopath and not leave me to be buried in R’ s yard with Fabi, right?
Cause Maryse, Leslie, and Nay did just that.
And Amy said she’d promise to meet me and ……we dont know where she is.
You know like she could be home.
She could of kept her promise and be looking for me in Korea.
She could be buried in R’s yard.
I think you should come Jean. A girls trip to Korea. You could catch up.
You , me, Amy, and the psychopath. Potentially.
He has a cat. You like cats.
I’m backtracking through the comments and giggling like mad. I love you bev!!!
I wanna go to Korea on a girls trip!!!!
Of course I’m kind of worried about the cat.
You know…psychopath and cat. …kind of a uneasy mix.
Ummmm……I have no words!
At least you’re not a serial killer Jean!
Well, that makes me feel better! Lol!
Oh, and R too.
I mean killing people aside I believe there was a half promise there of at least trying it if she could drink.
Just buy a ticket and come . Maryse loves you so she might follow if you do.
DG, congrats to your daughter. Math is not my thing! Thankfully my kids take after their dad.
Starting BrIng Down the Stars later than I planned. Went with my daughter to Drexel Univ. She met with some professors in the Computing and Security Technology department. She’s interested in Digital Forensics. It’s like they were speaking a foreign geeky language to me.
Jean!!!!! 🙂
1. No work today and it’s raining. I might have to force myself to stay in with hot chocolate and my kindle 😀
2. I’ve discovered a new (to me) HR author I like. Rather saucy but good 😉 Carolyn Jewel. I enjoyed Lord Ruin. Scandal is supposed to be good too. So many authors out there to try. And I’m tryin’ ’em 😀
3. Maybe it’ll be beef casserole with radishes in our house tonight too. If I can get the radishes. It’s a bit early in the season for them here, but you never know.
DG, that’s awesome. She must be so happy. 🙂
1. It’s 78 and balmy. *narrows eyes* Send me your snow!
2. Week before last got a haircut and a dye. Now my hair is that natural reddish purple. 🙂 And shoulder length.
3. Noth9ng sounds good book wise. I want light, happy PNR. Maybe one of those RH up there?
I finished chalk painting the dresser! Huge accomplishment. What’s more is….I made cottage pie! Haven’t cooked in too long. Everything else is a disaster tho.
Oh wow! So glad I found you on FB & your blog here, thanks to Stephanie 🙂 I love your recommendations & hope you’ll take a look at one of my favorite new releases by the talented, amazing & just all around sweet human being, Annie Rose Welch, and book #1 in “The Beautiful Years” 😀 … http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07G8PNLL6/ref=dbs_a_def_rwt_hsch_vapi_tkin_p1_i0
Tasha, chalk painting!! I tried that once and it did not end well. Yay you!!
re: snow in October. I really sucks when the snow knocks the beautiful fall leaves off the trees.
*IT really
Wouldn’t matter if you were in Korea.
Yeah, I looked when I went to the park. No orange in the trees yet. 🙁 Not cold enough.
R., don’t feel bad…. apparently me, Maryse and Nay are accomplices. 😉
Oooooooooh!! What are we accomplices to?? I LOVE it already!!! 😀 *waggles eyebrows*
Reading Bring Down the Stars. I. Can’t. Put. It. Down!!!! Crying since the author’s note. Damn Emma Scott can write and you feel everything.
OMG, I just saw the commercial for Holiday Baking Championship on Food Network. They were playing the quirky Christmas music and showing the holiday baked goods, and it hit me that the holiday season is here! Next Friday is the day that Hallmark channel starts showing Christmas movies 24/7. How can this time of year already be here? I think this year has passed faster for me than any in my entire life.
I LOVE The Hallmark Channel Nay!! I can’t wait for the Christmas movie marathons. That’s what I’ll have on, all day (and the Holiday cooking shows). 😀
Cheryl, so funny re: the chalk painting. Most projects like that are an epic fail for me. Glad you are enjoying Bring Down the Stars. I can barely think about Emma Scott without crying for her .
Nay, I LOVE cheesey Christmas movies!! Yippee for Hallmark channel. That is tv I like to watch.
I, thankfully, only had to do a few drawers because it was already chalk painted a beach theme when I got it. I don’t think it’s too bad, could’ve gotten craftier, but I don’t have time for all that. I repainted and sanded 1drawer twice because I messed up.
